  • I will discuss some aspects of the meaning of prodiscoure maker 'kulay'in Korea. This marker has been studied few scholars, since Korean lingusts did not have any interest about this category of linguistic form. Also, they did not realized the importance of discourse and discourse markers. So,we have only shallow information about prodiscourse phenomena and prodiscourse markers, too. Morphologically, kulay(그래)'could be analyzed into 'ku(그)'and 'lay(래)'and 'lay(래)'could be divided into'l(ㄹ)'and 'ay(ㅐ)' again. But I will discuss 'kulay'as one linguistic unit without divison. It will be claimed in this paper that both [prodiscoures]feature and [discourse continuity]feature can satisfactorily account for the core meaning of'kulay'.And,it will be mentioned that the marker has many kinds of specfic meaning depends on paricular discourse. Also, I would like to examine the semantic feature([prodiscourse+discourse continuity]) in many kinds of korean discourse. And I will show that some factors re;ated tp the marker's specific meaning are the meaning of preceding and following discourse and the participant's psychological attitude. The conclusion must be that the meaning of 'kulay'can help us understand certain phenomena about prodiscourse and prodiscourse markers in the korean language. Also the various meanings of 'kulay'can give more information to Applied-Korean linguistics.

  • High-definition (HD) maps can provide precise road information that enables an autonomous driving system to effectively navigate a vehicle. Recent research has focused on leveraging semantic segmentation to achieve automatic annotation of HD maps. However, the existing methods suffer from low recognition accuracy in automatic driving scenarios, leading to inefficient annotation processes. In this paper, we propose a novel semantic segmentation method for automatic HD map annotation. Our approach introduces a new encoder, known as the convolutional transformer hybrid encoder, to enhance the model's feature extraction capabilities. Additionally, we propose a multi-level fusion module that enables the model to aggregate different levels of detail and semantic information. Furthermore, we present a novel decoupled boundary joint decoder to improve the model's ability to handle the boundary between categories. To evaluate our method, we conducted experiments using the Bird's Eye View point cloud images dataset and Cityscapes dataset. Comparative analysis against stateof-the-art methods demonstrates that our model achieves the highest performance. Specifically, our model achieves an mIoU of 56.26%, surpassing the results of SegFormer with an mIoU of 1.47%. This innovative promises to significantly enhance the efficiency of HD map automatic annotation.

  • With the development of deep learning, semantic segmentation methods are being studied in various fields. There is a problem that segmenation accuracy drops in fields that require accuracy such as medical image analysis. In this paper, we improved PSPNet, which is a deep learning based segmentation method to minimized the loss of features during semantic segmentation. Conventional deep learning based segmentation methods result in lower resolution and loss of object features during feature extraction and compression. Due to these losses, the edge and the internal information of the object are lost, and there is a problem that the accuracy at the time of object segmentation is lowered. To solve these problems, we improved PSPNet, which is a semantic segmentation model. The multi-scale attention proposed to the conventional PSPNet was added to prevent feature loss of objects. The feature purification process was performed by applying the attention method to the conventional PPM module. By suppressing unnecessary feature information, eadg and texture information was improved. The proposed method trained on the Cityscapes dataset and use the segmentation index MIoU for quantitative evaluation. As a result of the experiment, the segmentation accuracy was improved by about 1.5% compared to the conventional PSPNet.

  • Different CAx systems are being utilized throughout the product lifecycle due to the practical reasons in the supply chain and design processes. One of the major problems facing enterprises of today is how to share and exchange data among heterogeneous applications. Since different software applications use different terminologies, it is difficult to share and exchange the product data with internal and external partners. This paper presents a method to enhance the CAD model interoperability based on feature ontology. The feature ontology has been constructed based on the feature definition of modeling commands of CAD systems. A method for integration of semantic data has been proposed, implemented, and tested with two commercial CAD systems.

  • In this paper, we propose a framework for ontological knowledge-based image understanding systems. Ontology composed of concepts can be used as a guide for describing objects from a specific domain of interest and describing relations between objects from different domains The proposed framework consists of four main subparts ⅰ) ontological knowledge bases, ⅱ) primitive feature detectors, ⅲ) concept inference engine, and ⅳ) semantic inference engine. Using ontological knowledge bases on various domains and features extracted from the detectors, concept inference engine infers concepts on regions of interest in an image and semantic inference engine reasons semantic situations between concepts from different domains. We present a outline for ontological knowledge-based image understanding systems and application examples within specific domains such as text recognition and human recognition in order to show the validity of the proposed system.

  • Data dictionary is a collection of meta-data, which describes data produced and consumed while performing business processes. Data dictionary is an essential element for business process standardization and automation, and has a fundamental role in ERP application management and customization. Also, data dictionary facilitates B2B processes by enabling painless integration of business processes between various enterprises. We implemented data dictionary support in SEA+, a component- based scalable ERP system developed in ETRI, and found out that it's a plausible feature of business information system. We discovered that data dictionary promotes semantic, not syntactic, data management, which can make it possible to leverage viability of the tool in the coming age of more meta-data oriented computing world. We envision that business data dictionary is a firm foundation of adapting business knowledge, applications and processes into the semantic web based enterprise infra-structure.

  • Nominal compounds of 'N1 + N2'in Korean can be classified into the following three major categories: co-compound, sub-compound, and fusion. Among these three major categories, insertion of /t/ in the compounding process and subsequent tensification are found only in sub-compounds. This peculiar phenomenon of /t/-insertion which causes, in turn, tensification in sub-compounds has been long controversial because linguists have not been able to expect in which phonological environment of sub-compounding insertion of /t/ takes place. In this paper, I explore a phonological rule which makes it possible to expect the phonological environments of sub-compounding that allow insertion of /t/ and automatic tensification of the subsequent consonant in the onset of N2. In this process, I show that semantic feature(s) between two combined roots should be considered as one of the important structural descriptions in phonology.

  • In this letter, a new online anomaly detection approach for software systems is proposed. The novelty of the proposed approach is to apply a new semantic kernel function for a support vector machine (SVM) classifier to detect fault-suspicious execution paths at runtime in a reasonable amount of time. The kernel uses a new sequence matching algorithm to measure similarities among program execution paths in a customized feature space whose dimensions represent the largest common subpaths among the execution paths. To increase the precision of the SVM classifier, each common subpath is given weights according to its ability to discern executions as correct or anomalous. Experiment results show that compared with the known kernels, the proposed SVM kernel will improve the time overhead of online anomaly detection by up to 170%, while improving the precision of anomaly alerts by up to 140%.

  • Synonym means that the conceptual meaning of the word is the same or similar while other meanings or function of language difference may exist. That is two or more identified names correspond with one sense and have the words with minor difference. Words with synonym relation are a set of same meaning but conceptual area or emotional color, language function can be identified. Therefore, the core research of synonym is the difference analysis and in general difference analysis is progress in the three aspects of Meaning, Pragmatic, and Semantic. However, the difference analysis is the most important. In this paper, the set of meaning item of synonym word 'Attack' is 'zheng', 'fa', 'tao', 'qin', 'xi'. We compare the meaning of five verbs and analyze the difference and characteristics.

  • This paper investigated -eullanjira sentence as a kind of construction of the Southwestern dialect in Korea. Five informants were selected to form the main corpus of -eullanjira. Through analyzing the corpus, its semantic, syntactic and morphological characteristics were figured out. Firstly, a view of construction grammar was adopted to capture the semantic and syntactic characteristics of -eullanjira. The construction of -eullanjira was established as "Xdo Yeullanjira Z". Syntactically, -do was found to be a common auxiliary particle, which allowed nouns, adverbs, verbs and adjectives to appear at the position of X, while only verbs and adjectives could appear at the position of Y. Subject-honorific, causative and passive prefinal endings could coexist with Y, while tense and modal prefinal endings could not. Z was an embedded clause, which had the semantic feature of [-DOUBT], meaning 'it should be done undoubtedly'. The formation of -eullanjira was next examined both diachronically and synchronically. It was found there was a conjuntive ending of Middle Korean, corresponding -eullanjira, namely, -landai. Finally, -eullanjira was newly analyzed as [[-eulla-]+[-n-ji-ra]].
