This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of the octopus pot according to mesh sizes. Entering behavior of Octopus minor and bait (Macrophthalmus japonicus) escape rate on the mesh sizes of the pots were investigated for six times in indoor tank. The sea trials for evaluating the performance of Octopus minor pot to different mesh sizes (22, 20 and 18 mm) were conducted for six times from 2017 to 2018 in the coastal sea of Deukyang Bay, the Republic of Korea. Behavior patterns of contact pot to leaved pot were more frequent than contact pot to bait search. When the octopus contacted to the pot, there was no clear search behavior to distinguish the mesh sizes. Total catch of 46% was accounted for 18 mm pots, followed by 34% at 20 mm and 20% at 22 mm (P < 0.05). Catch per unit effort was calculated as 30 g/pot at 22 mm, 44 g/pot at 20 mm and 59 g/pot at 18 mm. As a result of evaluating 50% selection of mantle length and weight on the mesh sizes, mantle length (mm) and weight (g) were 84.6 and 147.8 in 22 mm, followed by 20 and 18 mm.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of sports center members' lifestyles on participation promotion and choice behavior. To this end, more specifically, we intend to establish and clarify a hypothetical model based on the preceding studies of facilitating factors and factors that continue to participate according to the lifestyle of sports center members. In order to achieve this research purpose, the study subjects were set as the population of male and female adults over 20 who are using sports centers in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanam-do in 2021. As for the sampling method, the sample was extracted using cluster random sampling, and 300 people were used for the actual analysis, excluding 60 copies of double-entry and insincere or unreliable questionnaires. The survey tool was modified and supplemented according to this study based on the questionnaire that had been verified for reliability and validity in previous studies, and all questionnaire items were composed of a 5-point scale. The statistical analysis used for data analysis was frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Windows 21.0 Version. The conclusions obtained in this study through data analysis by such methods and procedures are as follows. First, according to the lifestyle of sports center members, participation promotion factors were found to have a partial influence. Second, according to the lifestyle of sports center members, the selection behavior was found to have a partial influence. Third, it was found that the participation promotion factors of sports center members partially affected the choice behavior.
The purpose of this study is to investigate exploratory wine consuming behavior based on demographic characteristics of wine consumers. A questionnaire was organized and distributed widely to a thousand of wine consumers who could be easily met at wine bars or restaurants, retail stores, wine expositions and wine sampling parties. Total of 793 completed questionnaires (Male: 48.4%, Female: 51.6%) were obtained and analyzed using SPSS package (v.10.0) program. The results of the present study discuss general demographic characteristics of participated subjects, the expenditure for wine, frequency and amount for wine taking, preference of the origin of wines, and preferred wine style. The results also show that why the consumers purchase wine, where they drink or purchase the wine, and what makes they prefer a particular wine bar. Consumers' information search behavior and important factor on wine selection process are presented at the end of the results as well. The current research suggests that gender and age are critical factors to understand wine consuming behavior of customers and improving the knowledge and service level of wine specialists is powerful marketing tool at practical fields.
As the global market becomes more competitive, manufacturing industries face relentless pressure caused by a growing tendency of greater varieties of products, shorter manufacturing cycles and more sophisticated customer requirements. Efficient and effective supplier selection and order allocation decisions are, therefore, important decisions for a manufacturer to ensure stable material flows in a highly competitive supply chain, in particular, when customers are willing to accept products with less desirable product attributes (e.g., color, delivery date) for economic reasons. This paper attempts to solve optimally the challenging problem of supplier selection and order allocation, taking into consideration the customer flexibility for a manufacturer producing multi-products to satisfy the customers' demands in a multi period planning horizon. A new mixed integer programming model is developed to describe the behavior of the supply chain. The objective is to maximize the manufacturer's total profit subject to various operating constraints of the supply chain. Due to the complexity and non-deterministic polynomial-time (NP)-hard nature of the problem, an improved genetic approach is proposed to solve the problem optimally. This approach differs from a canonical genetic algorithm in three aspects: a new selection method to reduce the chance of premature convergence and two problem-specific repair heuristics to guarantee feasibility of the solutions. The results of applying the proposed approach to solve a set of randomly generated test problems clearly demonstrate its excellent performance. When compared with applying the canonical genetic algorithm to locate optimal solutions, the average improvement in the solution quality amounts to as high as ten percent.
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of health lifestyle on high protein snack selection attributes and purchase behaviors among individuals aged 20-30 with high protein snack intake. In addition, the relationship between perception, attitude, satisfaction and recommendation of high protein snacks was invested. Finally, this study aims to provide basic information for marketing high-protein snacks and customized high protein snacks. Analysis of the selection attributes most important for healthy lifestyle, revealed significant differences among all groups excluding the external seeking group (p<0.001). The free living group regarded trust as one of the most important attributes of high protein snack selection, and both the tempered control group and the low-interest group found sensation and price factor to be important. Therefore, when developing high-protein snacks, it is important to determine which attributes of the snack will be highlighted by segmenting the consumer into health lifestyles. Focusing on what ingredients are used to develop high-protein snacks and nutritional ingredients is also important when targeting a free lifestyle group as the main customer. In addition, developing snacks that do not offer depending on the protein content is important when targeting a temperate management group or a low-interest group.

Internet of Things (IoT) based sensor networks have gained unprecedented popularity in recent years. With the exponential explosion of the objects (sensors and mobiles), the bandwidth and the speed of data transmission are dwarfed by the anticipated emergence of IoT. In this paper, we propose a novel heterogeneous IoT model integrated the power line communication (PLC) and WiFi network to increase the network capacity and cope with the rapid growth of the objects. We firstly propose the mean transmission delay calculation algorithm based the 3D Markov chain according to the multi-priority of the objects. Then, the attractor selection algorithm, which is based on the adaptive behavior of the biological system, is exploited. The combined the 3D Markov chain and the attractor selection model, named MASM, can select the optimal path adaptively in the heterogeneous IoT according to the environment. Furthermore, we verify that the MASM improves the transmission efficiency and reduce the transmission delay effectively. The simulation results show that the MASM is stable to changes in the environment and more applicable for the heterogeneous IoT, compared with the other algorithms.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the purchasing behavior and selection attributes for Home Meal Replacement (HMR) and to identify the selection attributes affecting purchasing frequency and purchasing costs of married women living in a city. Among 837 questionnaires distributed to HMR married women consumers, 752 complete questionnaires (89.8%) were analyzed. The younger married women group showed higher frequency of purchasing HMR than the older age group. The 20s and 30s age groups showed higher purchasing costs for HMR than the 40s and older age groups. A higher proportion of employed married women purchased HMR three or more times per week and spent an average of more than 20,000 won per purchase in comparison with unemployed married women. HMR selection attributes were classified into five factors: 'taste and sanitation', 'economic efficiency', 'health and nutrition', 'convenience', and 'reliability and awareness'; mean scores of these factors' importance levels were 4.28, 3.93, 3.59, 3.54, and 3.50 out of 5 points, respectively. The importance level of 'taste and sanitation' factor was significantly greater as married women's age decreased. However, the importance level of 'health and nutrition' factor was significantly greater as married women's age increased. The results of the logistic regression analyses indicate that the 'taste and sanitation' and 'health and nutrition' factors affected frequency of purchasing HMR. The 'reliability and awareness' factor had the most significant impact on cost per purchasing HMR. Therefore, a product differentiation strategy according to married women's age and employment status should be applied. Product qualities and brand value should be improved to enhance competition in the HMR market.
Objectives : This study investigated the health information such as the general health information, the health product information, and the hospital information, and we wanted to identify the association between internet health information and the health related behavior by analyzing the process after people search the Internet. Methods : A telephone survey with structured questionnaire was performed by trained surveyors. The respondents were sampled proportionate to the Korean demographic distribution with considering the city size and the populations' ages and gender. The survey was conducted from October 2006 to November 2006. Results : Out of 3,758 successfully connected persons of age 20 or more, 871(23.2%) respondents had used Internet health information during the last year. The purposes of searching the Internet for health was, 1) to get general health information (717 cases, 81.0%), 2) shopping for health product (109 cases, 12.3%) and 3) seeking information about hospital selection (59 cases, 6.7%). Our research showed that the process after searching the Internet for health information depends on the purpose of the search. 68.8% of the searchers for general health information, 67% of the searchers for health product shopping and 64.4% of the searchers seeking information to guide hospital selection were satisfied with their Internet search. However one third of the respondents reported not being satisfied with the result of the search. Conclusions : Unsatisfied consumers with internet health information tended to ask lay referrals from others or they gave up seeking health information. The health information system should be improved to increase the accessibility and to provide reliable and effective information. Also, a more user-centric community is needed in order to strengthen the effective role of lay referrals among the internet users.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Use of nutrition labels in food selection is recommended for consumers. The aim of this study is to examine factors, mainly beliefs explaining nutrition label use in female college students based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). SUBJECTS/METHODS: The subjects were female college students from a university in Seoul, Korea. The survey questionnaire was composed of items examining general characteristics, nutrition label use, behavioral beliefs, normative beliefs, corresponding motivation to comply, and control beliefs. The subjects (n = 300) responded to the questionnaire by self-report, and data from 275 students were analyzed using t-test or ${\chi}^2$-test. RESULTS: The results showed that 37.8% of subjects were nutrition label users. Three out of 15 behavioral beliefs differed significantly by nutrition label use. Nutrition label users agreed more strongly on the benefits of using nutrition labels including 'comparing and selecting better foods' (P < 0.001), 'selecting healthy foods' (P < 0.05). The negative belief of 'annoying' was stronger in non-users than in users (P < 0.001). Three out of 7 sources (parents, siblings, best friend) were important in nutrition label use. Twelve out of 15 control beliefs differed significantly by nutrition label use. These included beliefs regarding constraints of using nutrition labels (e.g., time, spending money for healthy foods) and lack of nutrition knowledge (P < 0.001). Perceived confidence in understanding and applying the specifics of nutrition labels in food selection was also significantly related to nutrition label use (P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: This study found that the beliefs, especially control beliefs, suggested in the TPB were important in explaining nutrition label use. To promote nutrition label use, nutrition education might focus on increasing perceived control over constraints of using nutrition labels, acquiring skills for checking nutrition labels, as well as the benefits of using nutrition labels and receiving support from significant others for nutrition label use.
The main purposes of this study were to segment Chinese consumers who purchase fashion products through internet commerce according to internet shopping values, to compare their online word-of-mouth acceptance and dissemination behavior, and to examine the demographic characteristics and purchase behavior of the segments. 715 questionnaires were collected through internet survey from January $19^{th}$ to March $16^{th}$, 2015 and a total of 488 were used for the final data analysis. The respondents were twenty to thirty nine years old men and women living in all over China. Hedonic and utilitarian shopping values were identified through factor analysis and based on the shopping values, the respondents were categorized into four groups-ambivalent shopping value group, hedonic shopping value group, utilitarian shopping value group and indifferent group. Among these groups, there were significant differences in terms of online word-of-mouth acceptance as well as dissemination level and motivation. In overall, ambivalent shopping value group showed high online word-of-mouth acceptance as well as dissemination motivation. The groups also showed significant differences in clothing selection criteria, frequently purchased internet shopping sites, online clothing shopping frequency and information sources. The groups also differed in terms of age, residential area, education level, occupation and income. However, there were no significant differences in gender and marital status among the groups.
