사료용 순무의 생산성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Productivity of Forage Turnip ( Brassica rapa var. rapifera ))

  • A series of experiments were carried out for two successive years to investigate the productivity of forage turnip in mid-northern area of Korea. Fresh matter and dry matter yields of 6 foreign cultivars (Purple Top Strap Leaved, Purple Top White Globed, Seven Top, Shogoin, White Egg and Amber Globe) seeded either in early spring or in autumn after harvesting forage corn were evaluated with different seeding date and harvesting date as well as with different level of fertilization. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The earlier the seeding date in spring (Mar. 29, Apr. 12, Apr. 16) was, the higher was the yield of fresh matter and dry matter as the plant growth ceased after mid June, when the temperature began to rise. 2. In spite of its high DM yield, the Japanese cultivar, Shogoin, showed poor forage quality for summer feeding due to its earlier bolting in harvesting season. 3. Of the 6 cultivars Purple Top White Globed showed highest DM yield (800 kg/ 10a) in mid area including SEOUL irrespective of planting season. 4. Although the turnips showed mostly positive yield responses to fertization, the differences were not great especially above the level of$N-P_2O_5-K_2O$: 5-3-4 kg/lOa. 5. IN TAEGWALLYONG, a northern area of Korea, the average fresh matter yield of the six cultivars tested amounted to 3,500 kg/lOa when drilled on June 30 and harvested on Aug. 30, although bulb formation during the summer was relatively poor. 6. Concluded, forage turnip is regarded to be a suitable catch-crop which has the potential to maintain and increase the total forage production in mid-northern area of Korea. The intercropping is recommendable especially for autumn planting well past the time forage corn has been harvested.

Effects of Spring Seeding on Growth and Carbon Uptake of Clover Species in Upland Soil

  • Clover, a legume crop, is a landscape crop and green manure crop that can be sowing in spring. Clover serves various roles such as landscape composition, weeds suppressing, prevention of soil loss and nutrients on sloping, atmosphere purification, and supplying nitrogen in soil. Thus, in order to utilize this crop in agricultural land, we observed its effect on growth and carbon uptake in upland soil. The plant height of clover species increased with late harvesting time and was 46.0~55.0 cm at 90 days after seeding (DAS) and the longest in red clover. The dry matter increased at 85 DAS, after that, decreased slightly. The dry matter of white clover and red clover was $3.0Mg\;ha^{-1}$ and $3.1Mg\;ha^{-1}$, respectively, and crimson clover was $2.5Mg\;ha^{-1}$, significantly lower than other clover. Crops bloomed at 90 DAS were white clover and crimson clover, the period from sowing to flowering was 78 days for crimson clover and 85 days for white clover. The nitrogen content of the clover species was $12.0{\sim}29.3g\;kg^{-1}$, with the highest of $29.3g\;kg^{-1}$ for white clover. The carbon content of clover species was similar in all clover species, but carbon uptake was high in white clover and red clover, and lowest in crimson clover. The carbon uptake of the plant increased to 85 DAS and then decreased. Based on the clover growth and carbon uptake, white clover and red clover were promising when sown in spring.

벼 건답직파재배에서 Gibbrellin의 종자분무처리가 출아 및 초장신장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Gibberellin Seed-Spray on Seedling Emergence and Growth in Dry-Seeded Rice)

  • 식물생장조절제가 벼 건답직파재배시 출아 및 초기생육 촉진에 미치는 효과를 구명하기 위하여, 화성벼를 공시하고 3가지 약제를 사용하여 종자침종 또는 종자분무처리하였을 때 이들의 출아 및 초장신장에 대한 효과를 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Gibberellin (GA$_3$ 4% 액제)은 건답직파재배에서 벼의 출아 및 초장신장 촉진에 현저히 효과가 없었다. 2. GA$_3$ 종자침종처리의 적정 농도는 약 100ppm이었고, 종자분무처리의 적정 농도는 약 200ppm이었다. 3. GA$_3$(200ppm)의 종자분무처리는 무처리에 비하여 출아를 1~2일 단축시켰고, 출아율이 높았으며 초장신장 효과가 인정되었다. 4. GA$_3$의 종자처리는 묘의 초엽과 엽신 및 엽초의 신장을 촉진시켰다.

파종시기가 찰옥수수 2기작 재배의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Seeding Dates on Harvesting Time of Double Cropped Waxy Corn)

  • 최근 지구온난화에 따라 평균기온이 상승하고 무상기간이 길어지고 재배기간도 길어지고 있다. 이상기상으로 재해가 심화되는 위기요인이 있으나 작물 재배기간이 연장되고, 이러한 기회요인을 적극 활용한 작부체계가 연구가 전무한 실정이다. 봄 재배 시 7월 하순~8월 상순의 홍수출하로 인한 가격폭락 문제의 해법을 제시하고 신선한 풋옥수수 공급 기간을 늘리기 위한 찰옥수수 2기작 작부체계를 확립하기 위해 생태형 및 파종시기별 수확적기를 구명에 관한 연구가 필요한 현실이다. 본 연구는 2009~2010년에 국립식량과학원 시험포장에서 찰옥수수의 조생종 품종 찰옥 1호와 만생종 품종 일미찰, 찰옥 4호를 재료로 하여 풋옥수수의 2기작 재배 실험을 수행한 것으로 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 2기작재배에 따른 출사일수는 후기작으로 갈수록 짧아지고, 출사에서 수확까지 소요되는 일수가 증가하였다. 4월 상순~하순에 파종할 경우 생태형에 관계없이 수확기는 출사 후 23~25일 정도 소요되었다. 조생종인 찰옥1호를 7월 상순~하순에 파종할 경우 수확기는 출사 후 28~31일 정도 소요되고, 중만생종인 일미찰은 7월 상순~중순에 파종할 경우 수확기가 출사 후 29~31 일, 7월 하순에 파종할 경우 약 39일 정도 소요되었다. 2. 파종에서 수확까지 적산온도는 약 $1700^{\circ}C{\sim}2100^{\circ}C$ 정도였고, 출사 후 수확까지의 최소 소요 적산온도는 약 $600^{\circ}C{\sim}680^{\circ}C$였다. 3. 이삭길이는 전기작보다 후기작에서 다소 길어지고 일미찰과 찰옥 4호는 증가하였는데, 찰옥 1호는 1기작재배에 비하여 2기작재배에서 감소하였다. 4. 상품 이삭수는 2기작재배가 1기작재배에 비하여 찰옥 1호는 약 101%였고, 일미찰과 찰옥 4호는 92% 및 99%로 감소하였다. 수확량은 2기작의 경우 전기작에 비해 약 74%~78%정도였다. 5. 찰옥수수 2기작 재배는 파종 후 수확까지의 생육기간은 전기작에 비해 짧았으나, 출사 후 수확기까지 소요되는 기간은 오히려 길어졌다.

Effects of Climatic Factors and Picking Time on Availability of Seeds of Chamaecyparis obtusa

  • Seed production and germination could be influenced by some factors. The picking time and climate factors are regarded as the elements to obtain sound seeds. We have observed the seed productivity and germination of seeds from trees of Chamaecyparis obtusa selected in a clonal seed orchard. Depending on picking time, various shapes from liquid material, something jellied to the fully matured one were observed. Germination aspects varied throughout the test days. After 20days of seeding in a glass petri-dish, germinal apparatuses appeared from the all seeds which had been picked from after at the end of August. The highest germination rate of about 30% was observed from the seeds picked from $20^{th}$ of September and $10^{th}$ of October. Seed production was about two times higher in 2005 than in 2006 and the average germination rate was also higher in 2005. We have also analyzed the effects of climatic factors about two consecutive years on seed productivity. Among the climatic factors, monthly sum of temperature and of precipitation were the main factors for maturation of Chamaecyparis obtusa seeds.

고랭지에 적합한 사료작물 2모작 작부체계에 관한 연구 (Effect of the Double Cropping at High Altitude Area Which was Cultivated Suitable Forage Crop)

  • This study was conducted to increase the utility and productivity of forage crops at high altitued areas. For that purpose, 21 cultivars of corn and 2 cultivars of rye were cultivated for 3 years using a randomized block designed with 3 replications. The results obtained were as follows. 1. In the Taekwallyong area (800m above sea level) which has a short frostless period, all the seeding and harvest of corn must be finished within about 135 days between mid May, the time of the last frost, and late September, the time of the first frost 2. It was relatively safe for the early maturity cultivar(ll0days) and the medium maturity cultivar(l20days), compared to the late maturity cultivar(l30days) which might have had the possibility of an overlapping period between the time of harvest and the first frost in high altitude areas 3. The productivity of forage corn, which is the most efficient crop for capturing solar energy, varied significantly with the climate circumstances but the productivity of Taekwallyong showed similar results of 19 M/T/ha, compared with 20 M/T/ha in Suwon from the '96-'98 study 4. Rye could be cultivated in high altitude areas and when corn was raised as a second crop after rye in the same year, it was possible to increase the productivity of dry matter yield by 20% through double cropping(P < 0.05).   • The combustion phenomena of a reciprocating engine is one of the most important processes affecting performance and emissions. One effective way to improve the engine combustion is to control the motion of the charge inside a cylinder by means of optimum induction system design, because the flame speed is mainly determined by the turbulence at compression(TDC) process in S.I. engine. It is believed that the tumble and swirl motion generated during intake breaks down into small-scale turbulence in the compression stroke of the cycle. However, the exact nature of their relationship is not well known. This paper describes cycle resolved LDV measurement of turbulent flow inside the cylinder of a 4-valve engine under motoring(non-firing) conditions, and studies the effect of intake port configurations on the turbulence characteristics using following parameters ; Eulerian temporal autocorrelation coefficient, turbulence energy spectral density function, Taylor micro time scale, integral time scale, and integral length scale.

잇꽃의 수집종간 생육특성 및 기름함량변이 (Oil Content and Growth Characteristics of Collected Safflower varieties)

  • 국내 홍화 수집종의 재배적 특성과 지방산 함량을 비교한 결과는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 수집종의 파종 후 발아기간은 12∼13일로 수집 종간 차이가 없었으며, 발아율은 87.5%이상으로 양호하였다. 지상부 생육특성에서 초장은 파종 후 84일 이후부터는 더 이상 자라지 않았고, 엽수는 파종 후 70일 이후부터 는 증가되지 않았다. 수집종간 엽수는 17∼23매로 수집종간 6매 정도의 차이를 보였다. 개화기는 파종 후 79∼90일 경으로 수집종간 11일 정도의 차이를 보였으며, 수집종 중에서 장성종이 79일로 가장 빨리 개화되었다 결실특성은 주지를 포함한 가지수가 4.7∼8.8개로 두상화수 4.8∼8.9개 와 같은 경향이었으며, 두상화당 종실수는 29.3∼49.1개 이였다 100립중은 2.9∼3.9 g으로 나타났다. 기름함량은 조지방 함량이 21. 8∼33.9%이고 , 지방산은 리 놀 렌 산 이 66.6∼77.6%로 가장 많이 함유되어 있고, 올레산이 9.2∼16.5%였으며 팔미트산, 스테아르산, 베닌산 및 아라키돈산 등이 함유되어 있었다 이상의 결과로 볼 때 11개 수집종 중에서 개화기가 가장 빠르고 종실수가 많으며 조지방 함량이 33%로 가장 많이 함유되어 있는 장성 수집종이 품종 육성에 이용할 가장 유망한 종으로 판단된다.

Study on the yield and delayed stem senescence of soybean varieties in late sowing cultivation

  • Delayed stem senescence of soybean is a phenomenon of retarded leaf and stem yellowing, where plants maintain a high stem water content and remain chlorophyll in leaf and stem at maturity stage. This phenomenon was one of the most important physiological disease in Japanese soybean cultivation. The occurrence of delayed stem senescence was affected by sowing time. And the most of Japanese field, soybean seeds were sowed in June. June is the rainy season in Japan, and the soil water content of field become higher in this season. In this study, the effects of late sowing (July sowing) on the yield and the occurrence of delayed stem senescence in soybean cultivars Enrei, Tachinagaha and Ayakogane were examined from 2013 to 2015, in the experimental farm at Nihon University (Fujisawa-city, Kanagawa, Japan). The seeds of all cultivars were sowed in June (June-normal density plot) or July (July-normal density plot, July-high density plot and July-super high density plot) in field experiment. The pot experiments were carried out in 2014. In all cultivars, the yield of July-high density plot and July-super high density were higher than that of June normal density plot. And the yield of June-normal density plot was the same as that of July-normal density plot. In all cultivars, the occurrence of delayed stem senescence was increased by seeding in June sowing. And in July sowing plots, no significance difference in the occurrence of delayed stem senescence was observed among density plots. One of reason about the increasing the occurrence of delayed stem senescence in June-normal plot was the increasing of the damaged seeds by bean bugs. Add one of reason about the decreasing of the occurrence of delayed stem senescence of July plots was the decreasing of the amount of cytokinin supplied from root to top and water stress after the flowering time was improved compared with the June plot. In conclusion, the yield of Enrei, Tachinagaha and Ayakogane were not changed by changing the sowing time from June to July. In all cultivars, the occurrence of delayed stem senescence were decreasing by seeding in July.

결정입자 도포가 제올라이트 막 구조 및 분리성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Crystal Particle Deposition on Morphology of Zeolite Membrane and its Separation Performance)

  • 제올라이트 분리막을 형성시키기 위하여 결정핵으로 작용할 수 있는 동일한 제올라이트 입자들을 다공성 지지체 위에 균일하게 도포하는 기술을 개발하고자 하였다. 제올라이트 입자들을 수용액에 분산시킨 다음 이 수용액을 튜브형 다공성 세라믹 지지체에 일정 유속으로 공급하고, 세라믹 지지체의 반대편에 진공을 유지하여 일부 수용액이 지지체를 통과하면서 동시에 제올라이트 입자들을 지지체 표면에 도포하였다. 수용액 상에 분산된 제올라이트의 농도, 도포시간 그리고 분산 수용액의 공급속도 등이 결정핵 도포량에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 공급유속이 100 mL/min, 도포시간이 4분인 경우 농도가 0.01 wt%에서 0.3 wt%로 증가할수록 도포량이 0.0019 g에서 0.0208 g으로 증가하였다. 농도가 0.01 wt%, 공급유속이 100 mL/min인 경우 도포시간이 1분에서 4분으로 증가하는 경우 도포량이 0.0004 g에서 0.0019 g으로 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 농도가 0.3 wt%이고, 도포시간이 1분일 때 유속이 100 mL/min에서 300 mL/min으로 빨라진 경우 도포량이 0.002 g에서 0.01 g으로 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 도포량이 증가할수록 제올라이트 분리막을 통한 물과 에탄올의 총투과속도는 감소함을 확인할 수 있었다.
