In the healthcare system, the human neck(cervical spine) is one of the most important organs. The area that supports the human head is the cervical spine. Nowadays, we are often overworked our neck to calls with the smart phone or see the monitors. In this paper, we investigate the abnormalities of lateral flexion and rotation of the cervical spine. The normal angle of lateral flexion is $20^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$ and the normal angle of rotation is $50^{\circ}$ to $90^{\circ}$. If this angle is below normal and we feel pain, there is something wrong with the cervical spine. In addition, learn how to measure the lateral flexion and rotation of the neck or cervical spine, and also to find out how to treat an abnormality. We also look at how to prevent more than lateral flexion and rotation of the cervical spine. The experiment was carried out with 100 people in their 50s, men and women, to find out whether the neck is abnormal.

Background: The subciliary approach is commonly used for reconstruction of orbital wall or zygomaticomaxillary fractures. However, this approach is associated with postoperative complications, especially lower eyelid malposition. We report the experience of managing postoperative lower eyelid malposition with triamcinolone acetonide. Methods: A retrospective review was performed for all traumatic facial fractures requiring surgery via the subciliary approach at Chosun University Hospital in 2014. For each patient meeting inclusion criteria, the medical chart was reviewed for demographic information and postoperative course, including the presence of postoperative eyelid malposition or scleral show. Results: The review identified 189 cases in which the subciliary approach was used, and postoperative lower eyelid malposition was found in 7 cases (3.7%). For these 7 patients, the mean therapeutic period (interval to correction of the malposition) was 10.5 weeks (range, 8 to 14 weeks). On average, patients received 3 injections of triamcinolone. In all cases, degrees of the malposition were improved, and none of the patients required an operative intervention to correct the malposition. Conclusion: Triamcinolone injection is an appropriate treatment modality for lower eyelid malposition after subciliary approach. Treatment duration is relatively short, requiring fewer than 4 outpatient clinic visits, with relatively earlier recovery compared to conservative "wait-and-see" management.

The main purpose of this study was to treat pica in a 2.8 year old child with severe mental retardation along with autistic tendencies. His developmental age ranged from 12 to 15 month on the DDST and he had no means of communication. He was on Tegretol 200mg for seizure control. His pica involved thumb sucking, putting toys into his mouth, and licking furniture wherever he went Besides pica, he had a rumination problem. The treatment strategies for his pica consisted of two phases : In phase 1, The child was taught toy play through a 3-step guided compliance training, while his pica and rumination behaviors were recorded to investigate whether active toy play could effect any change in the untreated pica and rumination behaviors of this child. In phase 2, a facial screening was used as a means to control his pica, while his rumination was recorded to see whether controlling his pica could bring any change in the untreated ruminating behavior. The results showed that the facial screening was very effective in decreasing his pica from an average of 18.6 times per 15 minute in the baseline to 2.3 times post-treatment. Response covariation was observed across pica and rumination while toy play compliance training alone was being conducted, and covariation across rumination was observed while pica alone was being treated with facial screening.
DNA double-strand break (DSB) is a serious treat for the cells including mutations, chromosome rearrangements, and even cell death if not repaired or misrepaired. Ku heterodimer regulatory DNA binding subunits (Ku70/Ku80) bound to double strand DNA breaks are able to interact with 470-kDa DNA-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit (DNA-PKcs), and the interaction is essential for DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PK) activity. The Ku80 mutants were designed to bind Ku70 but not DNA end binding activity and the peptides were treated in breast cancer cells for co-therapy strategy to see whether the targeted inhibition of DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PK) activity sensitized breast cancer cells to ionizing irradiation or chemotherapy drug to develop a treatment of breast tumors by targeting proteins involved in damage-signaling pathway and/or DNA repair. We designed domains of Ku80 mutants, 26 residues of amino acids (HN-26) as a control peptide or 38 (HNI-38) residues of amino acids which contain domains of the membrane-translocation hydrophobic signal sequence and the nuclear localization sequence, but HNI-38 has additional twelve residues of peptide inhibitor region. We observed that the synthesized peptide (HNI-38) prevented DNA-PKcs from binding to Ku70/Ku80, resulting in inactivation of DNA-PK complex activity in breast cancer cells (MDA-465 and MDA-468). Consequently, the peptide treated cells exhibited poor to no DNA repair, and became highly sensitive to irradiation or chemotherapy drugs. The growth of breast cancer cells was also inhibited. These results demonstrate the possibility of synthetic peptide to apply breast cancer therapy to induce apoptosis of cancer cells.
This study is to develop highly efficient coagulation system(HECS) that runs treatment with a short retention time to cover the overflow in the rain, which coagulation, mixing and settling are contacted in a single reactor and to estimate the applicability. Setting up 100ton/day-size pilot scale plant, the results of continuous operation in case of runoff, maintaining 20 minute-retention time at optimum chemical injection condition(Alum 100mg/L, Polymer 1.0mg/L) shows the highest removal efficiency(Turbidity 93.1%, TCODcr 80.6%, BOD 81.8%, SS 92.5%, TN 72.3% and T-P 87.3%). It was estimated that the large amount of cost for separate sewage system and the size of area for system instruction can be reduced if the HECS is applied for CSOs treatment because the HECS is so compact and quickly. When we see the results, HECS from this study could be able to treat the pollutant quickly within a short retention time only with coagulant and polymer, which could show high applicability.

Patient management is considered an important factor in dental field. The aim of this review is to analyze the efficacy of hypnosis to treat fear, anxiety, pain, stress of dental patients, and see how it can be adopted in dentistry for improving patient satisfaction. Medline research was carried out to find the use of hypnosis in dentistry and other aspects of hypnosis in medical area. It can help patient more comfortable, relax, and accordingly reduce patient's negative feelings such as fear, anxiety, pain, stress during dental treatment. Also, it affects patient recovery after surgery by accelerating healing speed and reinforce immune system. When hypnosis is used with other anesthetic method, it can reduce the use of main medication, leading to reduce possibility of side effect. Therefore, using Hypnosis can give patients more comfortable dental experience, both mentally and physically, ultimately making patients more satisfied with the dental treatment.

Chloral hydrate is one of the most widely used sedative agents to control the difficult-to-treat young age group in the dental clinic. The normal onset time of oral Chloral hydrate is 30-45 minute with some variations. We are often frustrated see the patient still awake and cry with agitation even after far more than the normal onset time. In such a case, the patient has to be rescheduled for another sedation visit with different agents and/or routes which greatly disappoints the guardians. This case report presents a sedative regimen that can possibly help the clinician complete scheduled treatment without postponement. We have tried additional administration of Midazolam intranasally to 22 patients of those who failed to respond properly to the initial dose(50-75mg/kg) of oral Chloral hydrate. The average age and weight of the patients was 34.2 months(22-61 mos.) and 15.2 kg(10-17 kg) respectively. Half of the regular dose of Midazolam(0.1mg/kg) was administered intranasally. using needless syringe in 42 cases without notable resistance of the patient. The onset was very rapid in most cases and colud proceed the treatment under the constant monitoring by Pulse oximeter. All the planned procedures could be completed in 93.2 % (69.4% of 'Good' plus 23.8% of 'Fair' rating)with only 6.8 %('Poor' rating) of failure rate. Evidence of adverse effect was not detected or reported during and/or after the procedures.
The purpose of this study was to use the result as basic resources for oral health project for elderly people. we found the needs of oral health project and perceived oral health status, oral health knowledge, attitude, behavior of elderly people. we conducted a study on 194 elderly more than 60 years living in several social welfare facility, asylum, or care centers in Jeolla province. Through self-filled questionnaires and direct interviews from December 2008 to January 2009. The obtained result were as follows. 1. In perceived oral health status, 57.7% of respondents said they have hypersensitivity and 42.8% of respondents needed denture. 2. In oral health promoting behavior, 67.0% of respondents said they didn't have any tooth brushing and 45.9% of respondents said they haven't visited to dentist for the last year. 3. In oral health knowledge, 94.8% of respondents gave correct answers on dental caries prevention but only 7.2% of respondents gave correct answers on dental caries cause. 4. In oral health attitude, 40.2% of respondents said they don't recognize the importance of oral hygiene devices. 46.9% of respondents the unnecessary to see a dentist even though they don't have toothache. 5. Needs of oral health project, 53.6% of respondents said they wanted to have a dentist come over their house. Therefore, oral health projects should have vehicles of dental treatment equipment. It is necessary to visit places where elderly people live and treat them in person. Also, it is vital to continue educate people about oral health knowledge in a systematic way to change their attitude toward oral health. Moreover, it is necessary to implement oral health promotion behavior more proactively.
