The prior studies have well established the factors of correctional staff's stress at work. However, it is not clearly identified gender-specific factors influencing female correctional officers' level of stress. Thus, this study aims to examine factors particularly influencing female correctional officers' stress, such as child-rearing and work conflict, overwork bounden, and strains from male-oriented organizational culture. This current data utilized a set of survey data drawn from female correctional officers from 124 prisons located in different regions in this nation. Finally, a total of 172 female correctional officers's survey data was used for the analysis. A set of multivariate analyses reveal that security staff role, satisfaction for life, positive perception toward correctional officers' leadership in prison decreased the risk of stress among female correctional officers. Regarding work-job conflicts variables, child-rearing and work conflict and strains from male-oriented organizational culture were significantly associated with female correctional officers' stress. Yet, the direction of the two variables were different. For female officers, child-rearing and work conflict was not a risk factor for stress in that i decreased the level of stress. But the variable of strains from male-oriented organizational culture was a risk factor for female officers' stress level. Further suggestions for the future studies, discussion on contributions of the current study and policy implications were discussed in the last part of this article.
The pivotal emphasis of the physical training for the security agents of the security headquarters in the North Korea is to inspire them with the defense physical training-centered ideology and the war spirit. Their special martial arts is the protectee-centered offensive arts rather than the self-centered arts. It puts emphasis on training black belt-holders in diverse martial arts rather than in a certain martial art. Thus, the physical training for security agents in the South Korea should be also developed into the ways to rear them as black belt-holders in diverse martial arts rather than to foster them as high grade-holders in a certain martial art. And also, professors majoring in security and physical science have to develop jointly the measures to improve the physical and mental agility and the basic physical strength to inspire rapid handling and perseverance, to develop the physical training program to reduce mental and physical stress of security guards, to develop the standard for the examination of physical strength suitable for the body figures of Korean people and the regular evaluation with the standard and to apply traditional folk-games such as the swing and the seesaw to the physical training for security guards.

The Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia encourages Saudi students to continue their education at Saudi universities or abroad. Currently, an estimated 1,282,140 Saudi students are studying at Saudi universities. The extent of the research so far has not focused on Saudi student experiences, but it has shown that even a single negative event can dramatically reduce the chances of a student completing a degree. Thus, more research is necessary to identify and describe the context and obstacles (environmental and psychological) that Saudi students face. The evaluation was multifaceted to capture not only performance outcomes, but also other factors that have been suggested by research as influential to students' ability, such as the environmental, cultural, and psychological risks for graduation that Saudi students self-report. A single group pretest (survey) design was used in this study. Findings suggest depression stress and college stress predict stress levels, while subjective happiness predicts levels of scientific participations of the sample. Moreover, depression stress shows more consistency with hours spent on the internet for study purposes. These results should be considered in study support programs both institutionally and geopolitically by universities and governments.
Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the associations of food security with socio-demographic characteristics, nutrient intakes and mental health status among older Korean adults. Methods: This study was conducted using data from the 2008-2010 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). Subjects were 4,451 adults aged 65~98 years. Food security was measured using a self-reported question on food sufficiency of subjects' household. Based on the answers, study subjects were classified into secure, mildly insecure, moderately insecure, and severely insecure groups. Dietary intake was estimated by 24-hour dietary recall. Nutrient intake was assessed by dietary reference intakes (DRI). As for mental health status, the data on mental stress, depression, and suicide ideation were used. Results: Rate of food insecurity in older adults was 14.3%. Old age, being female, low education, low income level, living alone, and discomfort in daily living were more related to food insecurity. Means of nutrient intakes were significantly different according to food security status. Intakes of calcium, potassium, and vitamin $B_2$ were lower than recommended intakes in all groups. Consumption amounts of soy and soybean products, vegetables, mushrooms, fruits, vegetable oils, meats, eggs, seafood, and dairy products were lower in food insecure groups. Mental stress, depression, and suicide ideation were higher in food insecure groups independent of the gender and income level. Conclusions: These present findings suggested that food security is related to mental health as well as nutrition status in older Korean adults. A national system that include food and psychosocial support programs for the elderly should be considered in order to improve the overall health of older Korean adults.
Purpose of this study analyzes deeply and examine closely effect that incident shock of private guards gets in job stress. Used participation observation and In-depth analytical method to 10 common people guards inhabiting in capital region in 2012 to achieve purpose of this study. Collected interview data encoded using computer and analyzed by incident shock, job effect, job stress, organizational life. Conclusion proved in this study is as following. First, private guards appeared that incident shock such as suicide, terror threat, irrationality of superior that is produced in business spot gives great psychological fear. Second, private guards appeared suffer important shock are influenced in fear about business from shock that suffered in the past, and sociophobia appeared by thing which exert important effect changing by other business territory. Third, most private guards appeared that oneself experienced job stress from experiencing incident shock in the past. That is, incident shock exerts direct influence on customer confrontation in the past. Fourth, private guards appeared by thing which individual's organization life reduces when do not overcome incident shock that occur in the past. That is, incident shock decreases trust development and teamwork between superior and subordinate in organizational culture of private security.
Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of normal and heat stress environments on growth performance and, selected physiological and immunological parameters, caecal microflora and meat quality in Cobb 500 and Ross 308 broilers. Methods: One-hundred-and-twenty male broiler chicks from each strain (one-day-old) were randomly assigned in groups of 10 to 24 battery cages. Ambient temperature on day (d) 1 was set at 32℃ and gradually reduced to 23℃ on d 21. From d 22 to 35, equal numbers of birds from each strain were exposed to a temperature of either 23℃ throughout (normal) or 34℃ for 6 h (heat stress). Results: From d 1 to 21, strain had no effect (p>0.05) on feed intake (FI), body weight gain (BWG), or the feed conversion ratio (FCR). Except for creatine kinase, no strain×temperature interactions were observed for all the parameters measured. Regardless of strain, heat exposure significantly (p<0.05) reduced FI and BWG (d 22 to 35 and 1 to 35), immunoglobulin Y (IgY) and IgM, while increased FCR (d 22 to 35 and 1 to 35) and serum levels of glucose and acute phase proteins (APPs). Regardless of temperature, the Ross 308 birds had significantly (p<0.05) lower IgA and higher finisher and overall BWG compared to Cobb 500. Conclusion: The present study suggests that the detrimental effects of heat stress are consistent across commercial broiler strains because there were no significant strain×temperature interactions for growth performance, serum APPs and immunoglobulin responses, meat quality, and ceacal microflora population.
A central pullout test was conducted to investigate the bonding properties between high strength rebar and reactive powder concrete (RPC), which covered ultimate pullout load, ultimate bonding stress, free end initial slip, free end slip at peak load, and load-slip curve characteristics. The effects of varying rebar buried length, thickness of protective layer and diameter of rebars on the bonding properties were studied, and how to determine the minimum thickness of protective layer and critical anchorage length was suggested according the test results. The results prove that: 1) Ultimate pull out load and free end initial slip load increases with increase in buried length, while ultimate bonding stress and slip corresponding to the peak load reduces. When buried length is increased from 3d to 4d(d is the diameter of rebar), after peak load, the load-slip curve descending segment declines faster, but later the load rises again exceeding the first peak load. When buried length reaches 5d, rebar pull fracture occurs. 2) As thickness of protective layer increases, the ultimate pull out load, ultimate bond stress, free end initial slip load and the slip corresponding to the peak load increase, and the descending section of the curve becomes gentle. The recommended minimum thickness of protective layer for plate type members should be the greater value between d and 10 mm, and for beams or columns the greater value between d and 15 mm. 3) Increasing the diameter of HRB500 rebars leads to a gentle slope in the descending segment of the pullout curve. 4) The bonding properties between high strength steel HRB500 and RPC is very good. The suggested buried length for test determining bonding strength between high strength rebars and RPC is 4d and a formula to calculate the critical anchorage length is established. The relationships between ultimate bonding stress and thickness of protective layer or the buried length was obtained.
The main objective of this research was to grasp using a structure equation analysis if an auxiliary police officer unit's measure of getting rid of assault gets to their adaptation to the unit through stress factor to reveal the cause of an auxiliary police officer unit's adaptation to unit. The data used for the research is survey data of all auxiliary police officer belonging to Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency in 2011. The result of structure equation analysis showed that the mediated effect through stress was statistically meaningful in the level of p<.001. Also, the result of confirming the size of effect through standardized regression coefficients was that the effect of stress upon the adjustment to units was higher than the effect of unit's measure of getting rid of assault. Namely, unit's measure of getting rid of assault has a positive effect upon a conscripted policemen unit's adaptation to unit, but it showed that an auxiliary police officer unit's adaptation to unit had the bigger individual stress factor than that of unit's measure of getting rid of assault. From this, authorities should recognize that an auxiliary police officer's stress is a cause to determine their adaptation to units, and prepare its alternative.

The purpose of this research Is to clarify the relationship between leisure activity participation, job stress, social support and subjective well-being among security agents. 356 (92%) questionnaires were obtained from 12 private security companiesin metropolitan Seoul. The conclusion follows. First, the frequency of participation in activities on the subjective well-being reflects the direct influence. and period by participating in the job stress on the subjective well-being reported more negative affect, in other words, Job Stress is reduced, social support and subjective well-being is increased. Second, job stress has a negative effect as a parameter to subjective well-being and participation in the period, in other words, subjective well-being is decreased by the more get job stress. Third, social support affects the subjective well-being, leisure activity participation and social support that have no relationship, In other words, subjective well-being is increased by the more get social support. Fourth, frequency and duration of participation in leisure activity directly and indirectly affects to subjective well-being. increasing the frequency of participation activities make that subjective Well-being is increased, increasing the participation period makes that job stress is reduced, job stress reduction make that subjective well-being is increased, and increasing the social support makes that subjective well-being is increased.
When people think about stress, they usually consider it as negative. However, stress can be both positive and negative. Positive stress is referred to as eustress, while negative stress is called distress. Stress is derived from the change which can be either positive or negative. Change is an inevitable aspect of life; therefore, people cannot avoid stress. Police works create a lot of stress among officers because of job characteristics. Police works require both physical and emotional strains. These strains lead to stress of officers. Danger, frustration, excessive paperwork, the daily demands of the job, and a lack of understanding from family members, friends, and the public are major causes of stress among police officers. The American Institute of Stress in New York ranks police job among the top ten stress-producing jobs in the United States. In this study, the author proposes the ways of stress management among police officers based on the medical model and the organizational health model. In the medical model, the author introduces the elimination, coping, and counseling as a way of dealing stress as an individual level. In the organizational health model, the author proposes following recommendations from the administrative point of view: 1) rationalization of personnel management system, 2) improvement of the welfare, 3) democratic management of police organization, 4) maintenance of a good partnership with citizens, and 5) development of stress management program for police family members.
