This paper presents the continuous hoop reinforcement method as a means to overcome the difficulty of rebar construction due to the seismic detail of lateral reinforcement. Because the continuous hoop has no seismic hook, and there is less interference during the rebar work, rebar quantities and construction time can be reduced. Since the details of column and beam continuous hoops are different from those of conventional lateral reinforcements, the construction method should be developed through mock-up tests. The length of the beam mock-up is 8m and the section size is $500mm{\times}700mm$, the height of the column mock-up is 2.8m and 4m, and the section size is $800{\times}800mm$. The length and the size are determined based on the elements that are generally used in reinforced concrete basement parking lots and office buildings. The results of the mock-up test showed that the quantities of rebar could be reduced by 20% and the time could be reduced by up to 40% compared with conventional lateral reinforcements.

Social welfare center is a representation agency in the local welfare system to provide the local residents with necessary services directly. The purpose of this study is to give the fundamental materials for space program in terms of planning a social welfare center by means of analyzing spatial arrangement of each section in senior welfare activity. The structure of the social welfare center should be adopted to the reality and the center of local should pay attention to enhance the quality of life in elderly. As the aspects of the programs, distinctive program should be designed. To do so, social welfare center should be adjusted to the local situation and get flexibility on operating in the local level. Each program in senior welfare activity should be connected in the spatial organization and various space should be provided in desire of elderly. So the section of dining room and medical rehabilitation is a places mostly for the elderly. Multipurpose space for the interest and leisure and the space of the senior education facility are provided in social welfare center.
In this study, the gas permeability, sound absorption coefficient, and sound transmission loss of the Paulownia tomentosa wood were estimated using capillary flow porometry, transfer function method, and transfer matrix method, respectively. The longitudinal specific permeability constant of the Paulownia tomentosa wood with a thickness of 20 mm was 0.254 for the control sample and 0.279, 0.314, and 0.452 after being subjected to heat treatments at $100^{\circ}C$, $160^{\circ}C$, and $200^{\circ}C$, respectively. The gas permeability was observed to be slightly increased by the heat treatment. The mean sound absorption coefficients of 20-mm thick Paulownia tomentosa log cross-section for the control sample and after being subjected to heat treatments at $100^{\circ}C$, $160^{\circ}C$, and $200^{\circ}C$ were 0.101, 0.109, 0.096 and 0.106, respectively. Further, the noise reduction coefficients of 20-mm thick Paulownia tomentosa log cross-section of the control sample and after being subjected to heat treatment at temperatures of $100^{\circ}C$, $160^{\circ}C$, and $200^{\circ}C$ were 0.060, 0.067, 0.062 and 0.071, respectively. The mean of sound transmission loss of the 20-mm thick Paulownia tomentosa log cross-section was approximately 36.93 dB. Furthermore, the gas permeability and sound absorption coefficient of the heat-treated Paulownia tomentosa discs slightly increased depending on the heat treatment temperature; however, the rate of increase was insignificant.
In slender sections there is a substantial post-buckling strength provided after the formation of local buckling waves. These waves happened due to normal stresses or shear stresses or both. In this study, a numerical investigation of the behavior of slender I-section beams in combined pure bending and shear has been described. The studied cases were assumed to be prevented from lateral torsional buckling. To achieve this aim, a finite element model that simulates the geometric and material nonlinear nature of the problem has been developed. Moreover, the initial geometric imperfections were included in the model. Different flange and web width-thickness ratios as well as web panel aspect ratios have been considered to draw complete set of interaction diagrams. Results reflect the interaction behavior between flange and web in resisting the combined action of moments and shear. In addition, the web panel aspect ratio will not significantly affect the combined ultimate shear-bending strength as well as the post local buckling strength gained by the section. Results are compared with that predicted by both the Eurocode 3 and the American Iron and Steel specifications, AISI-2001. Finally, an empirical interaction equation has been proposed.

Vibration analysis of a turbo compressor test rig was carried out in order to investigate the vibrational characteristics of the compressor facility in KARI before conducting the compressor performance test of 5MW-class gas turbine engine for generation. The overall compressor test facility consists largely of inlet and exit ducts, a test section and a driving part. Vibration was measured with accelerometers at the test section and the driving part, especially at a main housing, a collector, a bearing carrier, a torquemeter, a gearbox, and an electric motor. Gap sensors are also installed to measure the rotordynamic characteristics of compressor shaft.
This study, to reduce a ground vibration damage of the structures in an area adjacent to housing structures located closely above the tunnel section, is the ground vibration reduction instance of a tunnel blasting selectively applied the ground vibration-controlled blasting method (delay time applied blasting method, large center hole cut method, Line Drilling method, etc) with an originally planned blasting method connected, but with it's workability and economic efficiency is satisfactory, so, the results says the ground vibration-controlled blasting method on a similar condition is very effective, even if the applicability is depend on the blasting method and ground condition of the work area.

A birth cohort approach to the Household life-cycle model could be an alternative to cross-sectional data. In this study, each residential mobilities of birth cohorts' is traced by the cohort data from repeated cross-section in the case of Jinju city. Because of the differences in fertilities by era, the volume of each cohort as a consumer in housing has varied and the condition of housing stock also has changed as the time goes by. These changes in housing make not only age effect stressed in Rossi's model, but also cohort and period effect. Due to theses effects of time, every residential mobility trajectories of generations' is different especially in earlier life stages. As households get older, it is found that the age effect reduces and the probability of residential mobility is lower. As this result, the residential succession and filtering between the earlier and latter generations is weakened and the residential segregation could be happened by birth cohort.

The purpose of this study was to develop practical problem focused teaching learning process plan for housing for the later life in order to apply it to the older stage of family planning section of Technology Home Economics in a highschool. Practical problem focused method was used for the teaching learning process plans of 3-session lessons according to the ADDIE model. The global practical problem was "What should I do to plan a safe and comfortable housing for the later life?" In the development stage, 53 teaching learning materials (44 students activity materials, 2 students' and 5 teacher' reading texts, and 2 moving pictures) were developed for 3-session lessons. The planes applied to the 5 classes, 150 students, in the freshmen of B highschool during April 20th-24th, 2009. The 5 point likert questionnaire were used to evaluate the 3-session lessons about 4 contents related aspects as well as the methods and effects of the lessons besides 2 open ended questions. The overall evaluation was very positive in all 6 aspects of the lessons. Some students wanted to learn more about universal design and aging related jobs. Those results showed that the practical problem focused teaching learning process plan for housing for the later life which this study developed would be appropriate to teach the older stage of family planning section related to housing and could be adjusted to the condition of each school and regions.

In various urban renewal projects related to real estate, developer in order to conduct the business, must get real estate inside project section directly or receive the consent for project from the owners. It must be carried out by consultation. When it fails, developer, in order to get ownership, adopts 'the Right of Claim for the sale' which has forcibleness. However, because the procedure for implementation of the right of claim for the sale is not clear, conflict between stakeholders is caused and it causes extension of period. Therefore, after examining judgments and references of judicial power for administrative litigation of the Right of Claim for the sale, by researching stakeholders of the housing rebuilding project and based on the results, finding out differences of stakeholders' recognition according to their position and problems of exercising procedure of the Right of Claim for the sale, and by presenting improvement plans of the system of the Right of Claim for the sale, contributing the success of the housing rebuilding project is the purpose of it.

The steel frame modular housing of which the research and development has been actively carried out recently cannot be constructed through monolithic placement like the reinforced concrete deck of general structure due to the characteristics of construction method of production in the factory and assembly on the site. And floor vertical vibration and deflection caused by inhabitants' activities may become an important issue in the aspect of usability evaluation due to a decrease in the section size of member, a decrease in weight, and so on. Therefore, this study evaluated the vibration performance of deck by using formula of AISC Design Guide 11(hereinafter AISC formula) which was practically used in general for modules where a stud was and wasn't installed at the center of beam in the longitudinal direction in the modular housing to be studied, and examined the applicability of AISC formula through comparison with the results of analysis using a general-purpose analysis program. On the basis of this, a structural cause for an error to occur between analysis result and AISC formula in the deck of module in which a stud was installed was analysed, and measures for considering this were suggested. Besides, an analysis model with the variables of measures for improving the floor vibration performance of modular housing to be studied was established. And measures having excellent vibration performance and economic feasibility were suggested through vibration response analysis and economic evaluation.
