Effectiveness of using Cognitive Virtual Tours based on Marzano Model to Develop the Achievement and Historical Research Skills for Secondary School Students

  • The study aimed to measure the effectiveness of using Cognitive virtual tours based on Marzano model to develop the achievement and some of historical research Skills for secondary school students. To achieve the objectives of the study, the experimental method was used and two study groups consisted of (60) students were divided into two groups, one is Control (30) students and the other is in experimental (30) students at Alsalam secondary in Ismailia Governorate. The study used several tools: The experimental processing tool of Cognitive Virtual tours based on Marzano model, Cognitive achievement test for the first unit of Secondary first grade history Course. Historical research skills. The finding of the study showed the effectiveness of using cognitive virtual tours based on Marzano model in developing the achievement and some of historical research skills for first grade secondary students which there are Statistically differences at level (0.01) between the average scores of the students in (experimental and Control) groups in post application for Cognitive achievement test. Practical application of the study can contribute to clarify how to use Cognitive virtual tours based on Marzano model in teaching history, and Draw the attention of history developers to the development of historical research skills.

Effects of Phase Difference between Voltage loaves Applied to Primary and Secondary Electrodes in Dual Radio Frequency Plasma Chamber

  • In plasma processing reactors, it is common practice to control plasma density and ion bombardment energy by manipulating excitation voltage and frequency. In this paper, a dually excited capacitively coupled rf plasma reactor is self-consistently simulated with a three moment model. Effects of phase differences between primary and secondary voltage waves, simultaneously modulated at various combinations of commensurate frequencies, on plasma properties are investigated. The simulation results show that plasma potential and density as well as primary self-dc bias are nearly unaffected by the phase lag between the primary and the secondary voltage waves. The results also show that, with the secondary frequency substantially lower than the primary frequency, secondary self·do bias remains constant regardless of the phase lag. As the secondary frequency approaches to the primary frequency, however, the secondary self-dc bias becomes greatly altered by the phase lag, and so does the ion bombardment energy at the secondary electrode. These results demonstrate that ion bombardment energy can be more carefully controlled through plasma simulation.

고속도로에서 발생한 2차 교통사고의 특성분석 (The Characteristics of Secondary Crashes Occurred on Expressways in Korea)

  • PURPOSES : This study aims to draw differences between primary and secondary crashes by comparing crash characteristics and to identify the unique characteristics of secondary crashes for making better effective countermeasures to reduce secondary crashes. METHODS : The characteristics of secondary crashes were compared to those of primary crashes through a two sample proportional test (z-test). RESULTS : The results showed that vehicle-to-vehicle crashes and vehicle-to-person crashes are dominant crash types in secondary crashes. Compared to primary crashes, secondary crashes were likely to occur during nighttime. With respect to season and weather, the proportion of secondary crashes occurred during winter and in snowy weather is relatively higher than that of primary crashes. The main causes of primary crashes were found to be drowsiness, speeding, and exaggerated steering control, whereas main factors affecting the occurrence of secondary crashes were negligence of keeping eyes forward and no keeping a safe distance as expected. CONCLUSIONS : The characteristics affecting the occurrence of secondary crashes are different from those of primary crashes, indicating that proper countermeasures should be established to prevent the occurrence of secondary crashes on highways.

Effect of Secondary Nutrients on the Leaf Yield and Biochemical Constituents of Terminalia tomentosa

  • Studies on the effect of different secondary nutrients in different doses on the leaf yield and biochemical constituents of Terminalia tomentosa revealed that secondary nutrients have promotary effect in increasing the leaf yield and foliar constituents of Terminalia tomentosa. Among all the treatments under study, foliar application of magnesium sulphate (2g/plant, w/v) is the best in respect of leaf yield and biochemical constituents of T. tomentosa. This treatment gave 29.15% increase in leaf yield over control. Chemoassay results further confirmed significant improvement in biochemical constituents. Except crude fibre, moisture, minerals, crude protein and total carbohydrate increased significantly over control.

  • The aim of the study was to evaluate the water treatment of pressurized water reactor secondary side by the mixed amine of ammonia and ethanolamine, from the standpoint of corrosion control, as compared with all volatile treatment of ammonia. The pressurized water reactor systems have switched a secondary side pH control agent to minimize the corrosion in the moisture separator/reheater and feedwater heater systems and the transport of corrosion products into steam generator. As results of field test, pH was increased in the steam generator and the wet steam area of moisture separator/reheater and the concentration of Fe were decreased by more than 50% as compared with water treatment of ammonia.

  • Numerical analysis and its inverse design process of 2nd stage of JT8D aircraft engine is described. One of the most important factors that affect the performante of turbomachine is secondary flow in the blade passage, so that the performance of turbomachine can be improved by controlling secondary flow. In this paper, as a method to control secondary flow, commercial inverse design program, TurboDesign is used. Meridional derivative of angular momentum is selected as a parameter to control blade leading in this program, To validate inverse designed model, computational analysis is applied which includes rotor-stator-interaction. In this paper, CFB results of both original and inverse designed model are compared to examine how much the performance improves without reduction of work output.

  • 2차 유동을 이용한 추력제어법은 추진노즐 벽면에 설치된 injection hole을 통해 유동을 초음속유동장으로 분산하여 추력을 제어하는 방법으로, 최근 추진시스템의 응용에서 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 수치해석 방법을 이용하여 SITVC 유동장을 상세히 연구한다. 수치계산에는 3차원, 압축성 Navier-Stokes방정식이 적용되었으며, 그 결과는 이전의 유용한 실험결과와 비교한다. 본 수치해석 결과로부터 2차 유동의 유입에 의해 야기되는 충격파와 추진노즐로부터 방출된 제트구조를 상세하게 가시화한다.

  • In applications of adaptive noise control or active noise control, the presence of a transfer function in the secondary path following the adaptive controller and the error path, been shown to generally degrade the performance of the Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm. Thus, the convergence rate is lowered, the residual power is increased, and the algorithm can become unstable. In general, in order to solve these problems, the filtered-x LMS (FX-LMS) type algorithms can be used. But these algorithms have slow convergence speed and weakness in the environment that the secondary path and error path are varied. Therefore, I present the new algorithm called the "Bi-directional Filtered-x (BFX) LMS" algorithm with nearly equal computation complexity. Through experimental study, the proposed BFX-LMS algorithm has better convergence speed and better performance than the conventional FX-LMS algorithm, especially when the secondary path or error path is varied and the impulsive disturbance is flow in.

Simultaneous Estimation of the Speed and the Secondary Resistance under the Transient State of Induction Motor

  • In the speed sensorless control of the induction motor, the machine parameters (especially the secondary resistance R2) have a strong influence to the speed estimation. It is known that the simultaneous estimation of the speed and R2 is impossible in the slip frequency type vector control, because the secondary flux is constant. But the secondary flux is not always constant in the speed transient state. In this paper the R2 estimation in the transient state without adding any additional signal to the stator current is proposed. This algorithm uses the least mean square algorithm and the adaptive algorithm, and it is possible to estimate the R2 exactly. This algorithm is verified by the digital simulations and the experiments.

2차 분사의 위치 변화에 따른 로켓노즐 출구에서의 추력 분포 변화 (The Variation of Thrust Distribution of the Rocket Nozzle Exit Plane with the Various Position of Secondary Injection)

  • A numerical study is done on the thrust vector control using gaseous secondary injection in the rocket nozzle. A commercial code, PHOENICS, is used to simulate the rocket nozzle flow. A $45^{\circ}-15^{\circ}$ conical nozzle is adopted to do numerical experiments. The flow in a rocket nozzle is assumed a steady, compressible, viscous flow. The exhaust gas of the rocket motor is used as an injectant to control the thrust vector of rocket at the constant rate of secondary injection flow. The injection location which is on the wall of rocket is chosen as a primary numerical variable. Computational results say that if the injection position is too close to nozzle throat, the reflected shock occurs. On the other hand, the more mass flow rate of injection is needed to get enough side thrust when the injection position is moved too far from the throat.
