Purpose : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the arthroscopic findings of the transplanted human allogenic meniscus including MRI changes at follow up. Materials and Methods : From Oct. 1999 to Jun. 2002, nine patients underwent arthroscopic evaluation at follow-up. We used nonirradiated cryopreserved meniscus allograft for 6 cases and fresh-frozen for 3 cases. We used bone-plug method for medial meniscus and bone-bridge method for lateral meniscus to fix the transplanted meniscus. The average follow-up time was 13 months. We evaluated the result by lysholm score, MRI and second-look arthroscopic finding. Results : The second-look arthroscopy after allogenic meniscal transplantation revealed that grafts were well incorporated with surrounding capsular tissue. But one case showed wear on the post horn and the other case which was operated at other local clinic showed tear of the anterior hem due to non-anatomic placement of bone bridge. There was improvement of average Lysholm score form 64 to 87. Conclusion : Second-look arthroscopy revealed excellent incorporation of the allograft with firm attachment and early clinical results are satisfactory. But further studies are necessary to assess whether meniscal transplantation can prevent progressive degenerative changes.

From 1989 to 1994, authors have reconstructed the posterior cruciate ligament(PCL) in 51 knees with an autogenous central one-third of the patellar tendon by transtibial two tunnel technique, but there were not a few cases of unfavorable results. So from January 1995, we have reconstructed the PCL deficient knees by "modified tibial inlay technique" to avoid the grafted tendon abrasion at the posterior opening of the tibial tunnel(killer turn). Purpose of this study was to compare the results of two surgical techniques and what its advantages and disadvantages are. We could follow up 39 cases of transtibial two tunnel techique group(group A) more than one year, average being 23.7 months and 21 cases of modified tibial inlay technique group(group B) more than 12 months, average being 14.7 months. The clinical results were evaluated by the OAK knee scoring system ($M{\ddot{u}}ller$'s criteria) and the posteror stress roentgenography (push view) with Telos stress device compared with the uninjured knees. The arthroscopic second-look findings were also evaluated. In group A : The $M{\ddot{u}}ller$'s knee score was average 80.1 points, the posteror displacement in push view was average 4.4mm at the last follow up. There were 17 cases(44%) of unfavorable results which showed unstable posterior displacement more than 4mm compared with the uninjured knee in push view. Among the 19 cases of arthroscopic second look examinations, nearly normal PCL appearances of the grafted tendons were noted only in 9 cases(47%). In group B : The $M{\ddot{u}}ller$'s knee score was average 86.7 points, the posterior displacemnet in push view was average 3.6mm at the last follow up. There were 5 cases(23.8%) of unfavorable results which showed unstable posterior displacement more than 4mm compared with the uninjured knee in push view but 4 out of 5 cases showed 6mm posterior displacement in push views. Among the 7 cases of arthroscopic second-look examinations, 6 cases(86%) showed nearly normal PCL appearances of the grafted tendons. In modified tibial inlay technique of PCL reconstruction, it was easier to pull out the BPTB and in cases of remained laxed meniscofemoral ligament it was easier to preserve the remained structures than transtibial two tunnel technique. We expect the "modified tibial inlay technique" may solve the problem of grafted patellar tendon abrasion at the posterior orifice of tibial tunnel and may contribute to the successful PCL reconstruction.

In the middle of economic and mental riches in the 21st century, the importance of well being and the pursuit of happiness are emerging as the new trend. Thus the lifestyle that values comfortable and practical naturalness and intrinsic merits has come to influence the human life rather than the old showing-off and formal desire. In addition to this, the spread of the five day week has given more leisure time, which has led to the increasing interest in health and leisure. The interest in sports has skyrocketed since the successful holding of the 2002 Korea and Japan World Cup event. All these changes to the lifestyle have contributed to the fusion of luxury wear and sports wear. As the result of the consumers in the 21st century having more classified and upgraded way of living thanks to the settlement of the above-mentioned lifestyle and the enlargement of the leisure sports culture, there has appeared the wellness kin, who value the importance of life and the nature and believe in the idea that they can reconstruct the environment in the way they can enjoy their lifestyle and pursue happiness. They favor healthy fashion items and think much of exercise, nutrition, and rest. They pursue the natural and comfortable style, whose ideas came from simple exercises such as health training and yoga and the easy and comfortable look observed at resorts. Their fashion style can be divided into three of fitness fashion, yoga fashion and resort fashion. First, the boxer fashion is characterized by the relaxing design and practicality. The major items of the fashion include running shirt-styled upper clothes, training pants, hooded shirts and sneakers. Simple and comfortable look should be induced from the combination of the items. Second, the yoga fashion was motivated by the comfortable yoga wear. It advocates stress-free spirit and comfortable and stable naturalism. Along with the advantages of the good feeling to wear and the functionality to help exercise better, the yoga fashion gives the wearer enough room to move around in, using the unique lines. Third, the resort wear refers to the kinds of clothes you tend to wear at the beach and the park. There are various kinds of the resort look; bathing suits, the beach wear you can wear with the bathing suit, the resort evening wear, the full-side look that you try on top of the bathing suit and is made of the same material of the bathing suit, and the marine look, the symbol of the summer. In short, the study attempted to investigate many trends occurring as the result of human recent increasing interest and concern in the quality of life, and the impacts of them on the fashion world. This kind of research that examines the background of the times and society will help to grasp with the fashion trends of the present and the future. And more studies should be conducted on the development of new and original design in clothes fashion, which reflects the characteristics identified in this kind of research.

A 65-year-old man who had lateral cervical disc herniation underwent cervical posterior laminoforaminotomy at C5-6 and C6-7 level right side. During the operation, there was no serious surgical bleeding event. After operation, he complained persistent right shoulder pain and neck pain. Repeated magnetic resonance image (MRI) showed diffuse cervical epidural hematoma (EDH) extending from C5 to T1 level right side and spinal cord compression at C5-6-7 level. He underwent exploration. There was active bleeding at muscular layer. Muscular active bleeding was controlled and intramuscular hematoma was removed. The patient's symptom was reduced after second operation. Symptomatic postoperative spinal EDH requiring reoperation is rare. Meticulous bleeding control is important before wound closure. In addition, if patient presents persistent or aggravated pain after operation, rapid evaluation using MRI and second look operation is needed as soon as possible.

Color harmony will look good formative elements of the basic lines, shapes and colors. In this paper, we present the implementation of Johannes Itten's color balance. Yellow, red, blue, on the basis of the first color mixing between the index and second color is placed. 12 color balance made by placing a third color between the first color and second color. we recognize this 12 color balance. Edge is detected using the Canny edge operator and labeling and clustering was expressed through the colors.

Despite the SKM Duyree shop's potentials, such as residing over the Samsung-dong, gangnam-gu one of the premier locations in Seoul, and offering a large shopping store, the old 'SKM Dutyfree' symbol [image #2] has become the burden for a company due to its low-profile brand quality and lack of location advertisements. Therefore, first, we have agreed to acquire the popular brand word 'COEX' and replace "SKM Dutyfree" to "COEX Dutyfree", and second, the new visual image has been created in order to create a synergy of the urban-look and the location-information. Therefore, the visual identity design concepts have been utilized in order to achieve such goals; first, promote the existing COEX-image and metropolitan-esque image. Second, unify the international-metropolitan looks of the COEX-mall, hotel, shopping center, exhibition, and airport terminal with location information. Third, deliver the new identity-design [image #1] of the fresh look(compare to competing dutyfree shops) and dynamic images.

The plastic arts is used when designers draw inspirations to create fashion design. The author referred to fashion magazines for designing ideas of Mondrian＇s geometrical abstract painting in practical applications used by designers in Paris, Italy, London and New York during the 10-year period(1991-2000). The collections of data were analyzed as following: ◇ Fashion Designing Idea 1. Matching Idea The art is reproduced in the design as how it is with no transformation. First, the painting＇s complete figure is reproduced on the entire or parts of clothing. Second, the painting＇s partial figure is reproduced on the entire or parts of clothing. 2. Contrasting Ideas The composition elements in Mondrian＇s geometrical abstract painting, for example, structures of shapes, vertical and horizontal lines and different colors are applied in the design. First, one particular shape in painting is transformed into different shape of square, circle or triangle and reproduced in designing. Second, one particular shape in painting is disassembled and then reshaped into different form in reproduction. Third, additional lines are put in to create different look from the original painting. Forth, existing lines are extended over the boundary to create different look from the original painting. Fifth, achromatic colors: black and white, and three basic colors: red, blue and yellow in the original painting are modified into different shades or color scheme is increased in broad range.
