  • Purpose: Delirium can be a highly prevalent symptom in intensive care units but it may still be under-recognized despite its relation with inclined morbidity, mortality, cost, and readmission. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a protocol that covers risk factors and non-pharmacological interventions to prevent delirium in ICU patients. Methods: This study was conducted using methodological design, and it followed the Scottish Intercollegiate Guideline Network (SIGN) guideline development steps: 1) the scope of protocol was decided (population, intervention, comparison, and outcomes); 2) guidelines, systematic reviews, and protocols were reviewed and checked using methodology checklist; 3) the level of evidence and recommendation grades was assigned; 4) the appropriateness of recommendations was scored by experts; 5) the final protocol & algorithm was modified and complemented. Results: The evidence-based delirium prevention protocol was completed that includes predisposing factors, precipitating factors and recommendations with evidenced grades. Conclusion: This protocol can be used as a guide nurses in screening patients with high risk factors of delirium as well as in intervening the patients non-pharmacologically to prevent delirium.

  • Purpose: The Covid-19 pandemic has triggered several herd purchase behaviors, and online shopping has been considered a health-related preventative behavior. Thisstudy aimsto the relative impact of health threat beliefs concerning Covid-19 (perceived susceptibility and perceived severity) and herd mentality on consumers' online shopping post-adoption disconfirmation and continuance intention of online shopping. Research design, data and methodology: An internet survey was conducted with Vietnamese consumers, and upon screening, usable data of 292 responses were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Results showed that while herd mentality positively affects disconfirmation, health threat beliefs including perceived susceptibility and perceived severity of Covid-19 do not. Results: Results also provided further support for the notion that disconfirmation is a crucial determinant of post-adoption continuance intention. Moreover, herd mentality also has a significantly negative influence on online shopping post-adoption continuance intention. Conclusions: The research provides evidence supporting the role of herd mentality and post-adoption disconfirmation in driving consumers' intention to continue online shopping. However, the research shows that neither the perceived susceptibility of Covid-19 nor the perceived severity of Covid-19 has significant impact on post-adoption disconfirmation, adding mixed evidence to the application of health belief theory in technology (such as online shopping) adoption.

This review paper is an empirical analysis focusing on the development potential of the Korean beauty tech market and the wig industry. Research design, data and methodology: This review of the wig industry and consumer experience is an important literature review. The PRISMA flow chart was used. Beauty Tech; Beauty Industry; Wig Industry; Wig; Scalp Healthcare; was used as Keywords as records verified through database screening. A total of 513 references were finally selected through major journal search sites such as PubMed, Google Scholar, RISS, Scopus, and Research Gate. Among the selected references, a total of 52 papers were selected in the final stage from 2001 to 2022. Results: For the sustainable development of wig industry management, consumers' desire for new and convenient products should be secured through technologies related to the 4th industrial revolution, and creative thinking was presented throughout manufacturing, distribution, and customer service. Conclusions: Hair loss reduces the quality of life due to mental stress and affects social life. The continuous development of wig companies, such as information on wigs and quality improvement, should be supported.

Live commerce, a novel marketing strategy that fuses e-commerce with live streaming, has gained significant popularity in China. The study aims to pinpoint main ways that live commerce increases customers' propensity to make purchases. Research design, data, and methodology: The PRISMA technique was adhered to in the systematic cycle of finding, screening, and selecting publications. Predefined keywords like "live commerce," "live-stream shopping," "consumer purchase intention," and "China" produced a large number of possibly pertinent research in the first search. Results: This study has delved into the profound effects of live commerce on consumer purchase intention, with a specific focus on the dynamic Chinese market. This study has identified four primary outcomes that support the revolutionary potential of live commerce: increased product engagement, significant social influences, dynamic pricing tactics, and the establishment of trust and credibility. Conclusions: Finally, the study provides live commerce practitioners with valuable insights, advising them on maximizing these impacts to increase consumer buy intention. In summary, this study offers helpful information to companies and marketers who want to take advantage of live commerce as a powerful tool for connecting with Chinese customers and increasing sales.

  • Purpose: Through an ethical supply chain, brands not only catch the eye but win over a fan base of consumers who prize credibility and consistency in what they purchase. Currently, the ethical supply chain is no longer just a manufacturing process; it has become a compelling story. It draws people's attention and wins their loyalty. This research study will examine the benefits of an ethical supply chain in attracting consumer attention and building brand loyalty. Research design, data and methodology: For this research study, A detailed method was used to search and analyze relevant articles. Initial searches used set terms in certain databases. Screening criteria were the thorough scrutiny of titles and abstracts to decide their relevance to the study at hand. Thus, to enhance the quality of data, duplicate entries were deleted. Results: Based on the analysis of the prior literature, the results highlight the power of ethical saliency, showing that consumers themselves are looking for and rewarding products that meet their ethical standards. This attention to ethically transparent brands, in turn, encourages more interest and interaction with them. Conclusions: Therefore, practitioners must transmit the firm's ethical standards through all channels of communication-investor relations materials and financial reports alike.

  • The best estimate plus uncertainty methodologies for loss-of-coolant accident analyses make use of the best-estimate codes and relevant experimental databases. Inherently, best-estimate codes have various uncertainties in the model parameters, which can be quantified by the dedicated experimental database. Therefore, this study was devoted to establishing procedures for identifying the input parameters of predictive models and quantifying their uncertainty ranges. The rod bundle heat transfer experiments were employed as a representative reflood separate effect test, and the TRACE code was utilized as a best-estimate code. In accordance with the present procedure for uncertainty quantification, the integrated list of the influential input parameters and their uncertainty ranges was obtained through local sensitivity calculations and screening criteria. The validity of the procedure was confirmed by applying it to uncertainty analyses, which checks whether the measured data are within computed ranges of the variables of interest. The uncertainty quantification procedure proposed in this study is anticipated to provide comprehensive guidance for the conduct of uncertainty analyses.

  • Objectives: Adjusting for potential confounders is crucial for producing valuable evidence in outcome studies. Although numerous studies have been published using the Korea National Health Insurance Claim Database, no study has critically reviewed the methods used to adjust for confounders. This study aimed to review these studies and suggest methods and applications to adjust for confounders. Methods: We conducted a literature search of electronic databases, including PubMed and Embase, from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022. In total, 278 studies were retrieved. Eligibility criteria were published in English and outcome studies. A literature search and article screening were independently performed by 2 authors and finally, 173 of 278 studies were included. Results: Thirty-nine studies used matching at the study design stage, and 171 adjusted for confounders using regression analysis or propensity scores at the analysis stage. Of these, 125 conducted regression analyses based on the study questions. Propensity score matching was the most common method involving propensity scores. A total of 171 studies included age and/or sex as confounders. Comorbidities and healthcare utilization, including medications and procedures, were used as confounders in 146 and 82 studies, respectively. Conclusions: This is the first review to address the methods and applications used to adjust for confounders in recently published studies. Our results indicate that all studies adjusted for confounders with appropriate study designs and statistical methodologies; however, a thorough understanding and careful application of confounding variables are required to avoid erroneous results.
