  • In screen printing process, printers are stretching screen meshs of an angle of 45deg. This angle need much more screen mesh’s quantity of 15% than 22.5deg. To search mesh angles have affect on reproducting fine line pattern, we modeled the expecting image according on screen angles change and reconfirmed it’s useful and valid from experimentation.

  • In recent years, not only the cultivation area of Jujube in Korea but also the number of pest species has increased. The farmers farming environmentally friendly are in great difficulty because there are no effective control devices. This study was conducted to investigate the control effect of the insect screen net on three pest species (Apolygus spinolae, Dasineura sp. and Carposina sasakii) in Jujube orchard when the pests were blocked by insect screen net. For the first and second surveys, the damage rates by A. spinolae were 9.06, 13.95% in 50 mesh, 4.75, 10.17% in 25 mesh, 5.68, 11.84% in 18mesh mesh of insect screen net and 21.6, 36.34% in untreated insect screen net, respectively. The damage rates by Dasineura sp. were 0.54, 0.13% in 50 mesh, 0.93, 2.84% in 25 mesh, 1.05, 13.45% in 18 mesh mesh of insect screen net and 11.1, 26.65% in untreated insect screen net. Carposina sasakii were completely blocked in all the treatments. Damages on Jujube were not observed by insect screen net. Therefore, insect screen net is effective on insect pest control for Jujube.

  • The purpose of the present study is to examine the factors affecting the heat transfer limitations of screen mesh heat pipe for electronic cooling by theoretical analysis. Diameter of pipe was 6 mm, and mesh numbers are 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 and water was selected as a working fluid. According to the change of mesh number, wick layer, inclination and saturation temperature, capillary pressure, pumping pressure, liquid friction coefficient in wick, vapor friction coefficient, capillary limitation, entrainment limitation, sonic limitation and boiling limitation we analyzed by theoretical design method of a heat pipe. As some results, the capillary limitation in small diameter of heat pipe is largely affected by mesh number and wick layer.

  • This paper is to research the heat transfer characteristic performance of the copper-water heat pipe with the screen wicks. Recently, the semiconductor capacity of an electronic unit has been larger, on the contrary, its size has been much smaller. As a result, a high-performance cooling system is needed. Experimental variables are inclination angles, temperatures of cooling water and the mesh number of screen wicks. The distilled water was used for the working fluid. At the inclination angle $6^{\circ}$ in top heat mode, the two layers of the 100-mesh screen wick showed the best heat transfer performance. The thermal resistance of the two layers with the 100-mesh screen was 0.7~$0.8^{\circ}C$/W.

  • Removal of fines from fiber furnish by fractionation improves drainage, but decreases fiber bonding in paper. Fines can be again classified by their size such as the fines that passed 150 and 400 mesh screen, respectively. A hypothesis of different properties between these two kinds of fines was tested. Four different furnishes (SwBKP, HwBKP, KOCC, and BCTMP) were refined in two levels, and all their furnish and handsheet properties were compared in respect of their fines. KOCC fines gave the slowest drainage and least contribution to breaking length while BCTMP fines the fastest drainage and the highest contribution to breaking length. Removal of the fines that passed 400 mesh screen gave high improvement in drainage and large decrease in breaking length. Only KOCC fines removal gave more positive results where there were large improvement in drainage but only small decrease in breaking length.

  • The purpose of this research was to study the characteristics of heat transfer in Heat Pipe which used the composition wick of screened groove - metallic mesh by ADI method and experimental results. As the results, the more than number of metallic mesh screen layers in a heat pipe increased, the fewer the effect of heat recovery decreased. In case of 1 - layer metallic mesh screen wick, the response of the effect in heat recovery was more rapidly showed than in case of other layers and in spite of high load, the evaporation section of Heat pipe with 1 - layer metallic mesh screen wick showed the stable response and did not show excessive super heat. There was a interrelation between thermal resistance and the variable layers, between thermal resistance and the variable gaps of metallic meshes, the heat transfer characteristics of Heat pipe were depended on the thermal resistance of composition wick.

Diameter of pipe was 6mm, and mesh numbers were 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250, and water was investigated as working fluid. According to the change of mesh number, wick layer, inclination and saturation temperature, the maximum heat transport limitations by capillary, entraintment, sonic and boiling were analyzed by a theoretical design method of heat pipe, including capillary pressure, pumping pressure, liquid friction coefficient in wick, vapor friction coefficient, etc. Based on the results, the capillary limitation in a small diameter of heat pipe is largely affected by mesh number and wick layer. Mesh number of 250 is desirable not to be used in pipe diameter of 6 mm, because capillary heat transport limitation decreases by the abrupt increase of liquid friction pressure due to the small liquid flow area. For the heat transport of 15 watt in 6mm diameter pipe, mesh number of 100 and one layer is an optimum wick condition, which thermal resistance is the smallest.

  • Theoretical analysis for predicting the heat transport limitations of screen mesh wick and sintered wick heat pipes was performed. The heat pipe diameter was 8mm and water was used for working fluid. For the 250 mesh, each capillary pressures and heat transport limitations, thermal resistances were analyzed according to the operating temperatures, wick thicknesses and inclination angles, based on the effective capillary radius (r$\_$c/), porosity ($\varepsilon$) and permeability (K). The wick capillary limitation was increased as the operating temperature and the wick thickness were increased, and generally the sintered wick showed higher heat transport limitations than that of the screen wick. The thermal resistance of the screen wick was higher than that of the sintered wick and both thermal resistances were linearly increased as the wick thickness was increased.
