지역체험자원을 활용한 STEAM수업이 과학적 태도와 융합인재소양에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of the STEAM Program utilizing Regional Science Experiences Resource for Scientific Attitude and STEAM Literacy)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of creative thinking activities and STEAM Literacy through the use of the STEAM program utilizing Regional Science Experience Resource for elementary students. For the purpose of this study, a teaching plan and worksheet for students using STEAM Programs was developed and applied. The results of this study are as follows: First, the improvement in the scientific attitude score has statistically meaningful difference(p<.05). Second, the change in students' STEAM literach by applying the STEAM program utilizing Regional Science Experiences Resource has statistically meaningful difference (p<.05). Third, according to the analysis of a questionnaire used to evaluate the program, students had a positive perception of the STEAM program and gained higher level of satisfaction about the lesson. Therefore, STEAM Program utilizing Regional Science Experiences Resource applied in this study might be useful to improve STEAM Literacy, and can be expected to improve scientific attitude and should be widely applied to Science education.

An Investigation on Models of Making-hypothesis Process by Analysis of Formulating Hypotheses on Repetition Hypothesis Activities in Middle School Students

  • The scientific inquiry enterprise consists of formulating hypotheses, testing hypotheses, evaluating evidence, and revising hypothesis. Scientific inquiry in the science classrooms requires students' background experience and knowledge with the phenomenon in order to ask appropriate questions, identify and define variables operationally, formulate hypotheses, and design clear and complete experiment. The ability to test hypotheses has been postulated to play a central role in cognitive processes. The purpose of this study was to analyze what the change of the quantity and quality of the hypothesis, the rejecting or accepting of the hypothesis, and the use results in the repetitional hypothesis activity experiments. To examine the problems, this study analyzed 5 classes which were designed and administered to 16 students of the 7th grade. The results of this study showed that students preferred the engineering method to scientific method and the quality of a second hypothesis got low. The quality of the hypothesis came to be higher through a repetitional hypothesis and the number of hypothesis was reduced. The results of the experiments did not play central roles in revising hypotheses and accepting or rejecting hypothesis.

창의적 과학 활동이 저소득층 아동의 과학 태도, 자아존중감과 자기효능감에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Creative Science Activities on Scientific Attitude, Self-Esteem and Self-Efficacy of Children Low-Income Family)

  • In this study, we studied the effects of creative science activities of children from low-income family. Before and after the creative science activity programs, we investigated the children from low-income family on scientific attitude, self-esteem and self-efficacy. Also, after the creative science activity programs for low-income family children were interviewed and the results were analyzed. The result of this study was summarized as following. First, the creative science activities has a positive effect on scientific attitude of low-income family children. Through the creative science activities, the children from low-income familie's average of scientific attitude increased meaningfully. Second, the creative science activities has a positive effect on self-esteem and self-efficacy of low-income family children. Through the creative science activities, the children from low-income familie's average of self-esteem increased meaningfully. In the case of the self-efficacy's average points increased, but there was no statistically meaningful. Based on the results of this research, the children from low-income family were influenced positively by the creative science activities. Especially, the children from low-income families who have fewer chances of science experience than other general children were positively influenced in every aspect of this study.

학교 실험활동의 역할에 대한 문헌 고찰 (Review on the Roles of Laboratory Work in School)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the roles of laboratory work in school. Twenty-one literatures were identified about roles of laboratory work in school by applying criteria such as published in CI level journals or used as a reference over 100 times during 1960-2017. Twenty-one literatures were reviewed according to periods such as 1960-1989, 1990-2003, and 2004-2017, and identified the roles of laboratory work in school that commonly presented in more than two literature. Seven roles of laboratory work in school identified were as follows (a) learning scientific knowledge, (b) enhancing attitude toward science, (c) learning scientific inquiry methods, (d) acquiring skills to use specific laboratory instruments, (e) enhancing scientific attitude, (f) understanding the nature of science(NOS), and (g) providing opportunity to experience natural or scientific phenomena. The results of this study can be used to provide school teachers and students a clear meaning of the roles of laboratory work in school.

울산지역 치과위생사의 실무능력 관련요인 분석 (The Study of Factors Related to Clinical Competency in Dental Hygienist)

  • 본 연구는 울산광역시 근무하는 치과위생사의 실무능력수준을 파악하고 그 관련요인을 규명하기위한 탐색적 연구이다. 연구의 대상은 울산광역시 치과 병, 의원에 근무하는 치과위생사이고 자료수집기간은 2005년 6월부터 7월까지 총 87부의 설문지를 배포하여 회수된 77부의 설문지를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 실무능력은 장에 의해 개발된 실무능력에 관한 행동지표를 수정, 보완한 도구를 이용하여 측정하였으며 13개 영역의 실무능력을 4개의 실무능력군으로 구분하였다. 조사된 연구대상자의 일반적 특성과 총 실무능력간의 관련성은 SPSS 11.5 로 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 연령에 따른 실무능력은 과학적 실무능력군과 심미적 실무능력군에서 연령이 높을수록 실무능력이 높아지는 것으로 통계적으로 유의성을 보였다. 2. 결혼여부에서는 미혼인경우가 기혼인경우보다 윤리적 실무능력군을 제외한 3개의 실무능력군에서 높게 나타났으며 통계적으로도 유의한 차이가 있었다. 3. 학력과 근무지에 따른 실무능력에서는 전문대졸이 대학 재학 이상보다 4개의 실무능력군에서 실무능력이 높게 나타났고 근무지에 따라서는 윤리적 실무능력군을 제외한 3개의 실무능력군에서 치과의원이 높게 나타났으나 별다른 유의한 차이는 볼 수 없었다. 4. 월 급여에 따른 실무능력은 월급여가 높을수록 과학적 실무능력군과 심미적 실무능력군에서 실무능력이 매우 높게 나타났으며 통계적으로도 유의성을 나타내었다. 5. 경력에 따른 실무능력은 경력이 높을수록 과학적 실무능력이 높게 나타난 반면 다른 3개의 실무능력군에서는 별다른 유의성이 없었다. 6. 같이 근무하는 구성원에 따른 실무능력을 살펴보면 치과위생사만 근무하는 경우보다 간호조무사와 같이 근무하는 경우 과학적 실무능력군에서 높은 실무능력을 보이는 것으로 나타나 통계적으로 유의성을 보였다.

영재학생들의 창의적 문제해결상황에서 집단 과학창의성 영향요인 탐색 (Investigation of 'Group Scientific Creativity' Factors in Gifted Students' Creative Project Solving Context)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 과학 분야에서의 집단의 창의적인 성취를 의미하는 '집단 과학창의성'에 영향을 주는 요인을 선정하고, 학생들의 창의적 문제해결 과정에서 집단 과학창의성이 어떻게 나타나는지 탐색하는 것이다. 집단 과학창의성 영향요인을 정하기 위해서 선행연구를 바탕으로 과학교육에서 집단 과학창의성 영향요인 27개를 추출하였고, 과학교육 및 영재교육 전문가들의 의견을 바탕으로 정리하였다. 학생들의 창의적 문제해결 과정에서의 집단 과학창의성 영향요인을 선정하기 위해서 72명의 영재학생들을 대상으로 1박 2일 동안 진행된 집단 문제해결과정을 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집단 과학창의성 영향요인으로 인적요인의 9가지 요소(과학적 사고, 과학 지식, 과학 정보 처리 능력, 동기, 도전정신, 구성원의 나이 및 성별의 다양성, 구성원이 선호하는 과목의 다양성, 창의적 경험, 집단응집력), 결합요인으로 4가지 요소(과학적 의사소통능력, 집단의 창의적 과정(과학적 탐구과정), 자율성, 리더십), 환경요인으로 3가지 요소(학습 환경, 교사유형, 외적 보상)를 선정하였다. 둘째, 영재 학생들의 창의적 문제해결과정을 분석하여 집단 과학창의성 영향요인들이 창의적 문제해결에 영향을 미치는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 집단으로서 요구되는 창의적 특성을 신장시키기 위한 요인에 대한 추가적인 시사점을 논의하였다.

교실 밖 화학체험학습 프로그램이 과학 탐구 능력과 과학 관련 태도에 미치는 영향 (Application Effects of Out-of-class Chemical Experience Learning Programs on Scientific Process Skills and Science-Related Attitude for Middle School Students)

  • 연구는 교실 밖 화학체험학습 프로그램의 적용이 중학생들의 과학 탐구 능력과 과학 관련 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 교실 밖 화학체험학습 프로그램은 ‘재미있는 교실 밖 화학, ‘신나는 과학수업'을 위해 개발된 것으로 자연환경에 부합되는 화학체험 제재를 선정하여 자연에서 실험 소재를 구하고 일상생활 속에서 경험할 수 있는 자연친화적 화학실험으로 구성되었다. 교실 밖 화학체험학습 프로그램은 전일제 계발활동을 통하여 교실과 실험실을 벗어난 자연환경에서 적용하였다. D중학교 3학년 과학반 학생들을 대상으로 실험 집단과 비교 집단으로 나누어 실험 집단은 교실 밖 화학체험학습 프로그램에 참가시키고 비교 집단은 전통적 수업방식을 따랐다. 두 집단 사이의 과학 탐구 능력과 과학 관련 태도의 변화를 비교·분석하고 교실 밖 화학체험학습 프로그램에 대한 학생들의 반응을 알아보았다. 그 결과, 교실 밖 자연친화적 화학실험은 중학생들의 과학 탐구 능력과 과학 관련 태도를 향상시켰다. 또한 학생들의 70% 이상이 교실 밖 화학체험학습 프로그램에 긍정적인 반응을 보였으며 과학에 대한 관심과 흥미, 자발적 참여도가 높아졌다.

과학 동아리에서 경험한 자기 주도적 실험 학습에 대한 초등학생들의 인식 (Elementary Students' Awareness about Self-directed Learning Experiments at Science Club)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate implications of self-directed learning experiments in elementary science education through understanding elementary school students' awareness of their experiences in self-directed learning experiments. Twenty students joined the school science club voluntarily and conducted self-directed learning experiments. We collected data through observation of the experiments, interviews, and questionnaires. The students who participated in the club showed high satisfaction with self-directed learning experiments. The participants were aware that their scientific interest and knowledge, and the confidence in conducting experiments were increased. The students felt positive about the inquiry process of conducting self-directed learning experiments with their own subjects. They also felt a sense of achievement in attempting their experiments in defiance of several failures. The participants realized that the self-directed inquires led to increased declarative and procedural knowledge of science. The students stated that they had some difficulties in coping with the different results contrary to expectations and preparing laboratory materials and instruments. Nonetheless, they showed the promotion of their scientific literacy during overcoming those difficulties. We suggest that self-directed learning experiments can be a more effective way in science learning to make students experience the nature of science than existing school experiments. This can be implemented through a creative experience activities such as science clubs.

미디어 아트에 나타난 시공간 개념의 표현 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Expression of Time-Space Concept in Media Art)

  • The concept of time-space to be seen in the modem society has complex features at the points of scientific, philosophical, artistic, religious point of view. It has been brought up at a points of neo centric religious, philosophical view and then after, phenomenal approach and scientific approach were rendered through Newton and Einstein and so many scholar approaches affected the artistic field significantly. With such visual expression, it has affected the paintings for a long time till the 19th century, and then has affected various fields such as photography, film, video, computer, architecture and has currently affected the various space expressive of our daily lives and virtual space of digital. This study is to extract a visual and expressionistic characteristic through historical examination and multi-scholar analysis of time-space concept. Especially, by expanding the previous time and space concept, experimental cases and expressionistic characteristics has come up on the media art that offers various experience and by analyzing the expressionistic characteristics of the time-space concept expressed in media art, it is to extract the basic factors for the diversity of space experience.

다산 어린이 공원설계 (Design of the Dasan Children's Park)

  • This paper presents a design of the Dasan Children\`s Park which is located Shindang- dong, lung-gu, Seoul which has an area of about 3,678$m^2$. Objectives for the design were to make nature-friendly space, learning space, interesting play space, space for every child, adventure play space, traditional play space, sense of place, and recycle space. For the space compositions a children\`s garden, a traditional play space, and a science play space were located around the S shaped main route. Facilities relating nature, science, culture. environment and adventure play were arranged in the 3 main spaces. The Children\`s Garden is a green space for learning and playing with natural elements. It is composed of a ecological learning space, a children\`s story garden, a children\`s song road, an environmental labyrinth, and a pall space leer handicap children. The Science Play Place is a place space for learning scientific theories through plays to which scientific theories were applied. It is composed of a total play structure, a math experience playground, a \"Keojunggi\" play space, a sound reflecting experience space, arid an infant playground. The Traditional Play Madang(space) is a space for traditional plays. It is composed of a traditional play pattern, a sun dial, and a floor fountain. The Recycle Road is a dragon shaped road fort learning about resource recycling and conservation. It is composed of a dragon head, body, tail space and a dragon bead(cint mani).int mani).
