Developing countries may pay attention to bibliometric indicators in accordance with their scientific development plans. Bibliometrics research topics and bibliometric indicators have grown dramatically in Iran since 2000 as a part of the post-war reconstruction programs. This paper aims to highlight how scientometrics may attract attention in developing countries such as Iran in response to national movements in education and science. An in-depth review on available guidelines for promotion of innovation, science, and technology in Iran was done followed by a review on previous research in this topic. Further data were gathered from Scopus and other sources. The findings show a considerable growth in research output of Iran in recent years and expansion of bibliometrics studies and jobs accordingly. Combined with research output measures, more attention was found in academia about cross-section development of science and technology in Iran. The demand in society has led to the foundation of scientometrics programs in Iranian universities as well as scientometrics departments in central libraries and research deputies in major academic institutions. The changing image of science and research in Iran has a relation with the growth of scientometrics academic and professional departments. The lessons taught from this mutual collaboration can be used in other developing nations.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine factors influencing satisfaction with clinical practice in dental hygiene students. Through this study, we suggested efficient guidance to increase satisfaction levels with clinical practice. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 235 students of clinical dental hygiene in Seoul Gyeonggi Chungcheong Kyongsang and Jeolla province from June 9 to 30, 2017. The questionnaire consisted of questions on general characteristics (6 items), clinical practice characteristics (7 items), ego-resilience (14 items), family support (24 items), teaching effectiveness(35 items), and clinical practice satisfaction (30 items). Data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0. One way ANOVA, the Scheffe Post-hoc test, and the Pearson correlation coefficients were reviewed, and a multiple regression analysis was conducted. Cronbach's alpha of ego-resilience, family support, teaching effectiveness, clinical practice satisfaction were 0.784, 0.892, 0.954 and 0.935, respectively. Results: ego-resilience was 3.24 points, family support was 3.24 points, teaching effectiveness was 2.93 points, clinical practice satisfaction 3.44 points. The meaningful variables which influenced clinical practice satisfaction were the ego-resilience, family support and teaching effectiveness. These factors explained 40.6% of the variance in clinical practice satisfaction. Conclusions: One of the most significant predictors of clinical practice satisfaction in dental hygiene students was teaching effectiveness. Therefore, a teaching program to improve eaching effectiveness should be developed and applied.

This study analysed Emergency Medical Technology(EMT) students' satisfaction in clinical practice. It was discovered that satisfaction was a means of 3.61(${\pm}0.70$) and the factor which had a significant influence on satisfaction was desired job area (F=3.98, p=0.004). The factors which were significant to satisfaction were practice beginning grade(t=0.43, p=0.038), period of practice(F=2.82, p=0.025), and departments(F=11.81, p=0.000) In respect to significant positive correlations between practice procedures and satisfaction, observation frequency (r=0.221, p=0.000) and practice frequency(r=0.170, p=0.002) had significantly positive correlations with satisfaction. Based on the results above, it is suggested that to enhance EMT students' satisfaction in clinical practice, students should have clear points of view on their job and practice beginning grade and practice period should be properly considered according to characteristics of students. Also, effective practice programs which carefully consider peculiarity of Emergency Medical Technology should be developed further.
This study attempted to analyze and confirm the correlation between self-concept and the degree of satisfaction on clinical practice. The subjects of the survey were 194 junior and senior students selected from S universities by questionaire from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30, 1983 in Seoul. The collected data was analyzed by t-test, AN-OVA, Pearson correlation according to purpose of study. The results were as follows: 1. Self-concept by religion was significant (F = 4.51, df=4/185, p= .002). 2. In the motives of selecting the nursing, most of students chose the nursing depending on their altruism(62.9%), ability and aptitude(57.7%) and better opportunity of studying abroad and Setting a job(49.5%) respectively. 3. The degree of clinical practice satisfaction was low as 2.80 of a total score 4.0. The degree of satisfaction of contents(3.33) revealed to be high. Compared with the degree of satisfaction on instruction(2.77), practice hours(2.83), practice environment (3.65), and clinical evaluation(2.60) revealed to be low. Religion and choice order of the admission were not significant in satisfaction of clinical practice(t=.37, p=.715). The main hypothesis that“The more positive self concept will be, the higher the degree of satisfaction on clinical practice will be”was not supported (r= .0509, p=.240). The first sub-hypothesis that“The more positive the cognitive self-concept will be, the higher the degree of satisfaction will be”was partially supported. Because favorite-isolated self-concept was significantly correlated with the satisfaction (r=.1189, P=.005). The second sub·hypothesis that“The more positive the evaluational self-concept will be, the higher the degree of satisfaction on clinical practice will be”was not supported. As a above results, self-concept was not influenced to the degree of satisfaction on clinical practice, therefore it is required that environment, instruction method and evaluation for clinical practice should be refined and improved by clinical administrators and nursing faculties for nor-sing student's satisfaction on clinical practice.

Objectives: This study was obtained to identify current education status of the community dental hygiene practice. Methods: It was designed cross section and self-reported on-line questionnaire(Survey monkey). It was performed probability sampling by targeting 82 dental hygiene schools(each one faculty member) in charge of community dental hygiene curriculum and 254 community health centers's community dental hygienists whom was working at oral health section. The response rate was 60% and 53%, respectively. The questionnaire consisted of time, duration, practice group, evaluation method, and practice contents including 63 learning objectives of dental hygiene. Results: Nearly half of these schools conduct such community field work practice in the spring semester of the junior year. This practice was mainly progressed based on average 4 students as one team per each one school for 7-8 hours a day during the period of more than 5 weeks(p<0.05). However, in case of both school and community health center, almost half of feedback after practice was not achieved and there was a difference in needs for practice education between schools and community health center. Conclusions: We should be considered that a sufficient consultation for the practice environment and its contents between schools and community health centers. It was considered that development of a standardized practice manual reflecting such requirement.
Purpose: This study was conducted to review the curriculum and license examination of physical therapists in the United States. Methods: The doctor of physical therapy (DPT) curriculum was evaluated by a review Course Work Tool version 6 (CWT6) data and current physical therapy licensure examination (National Physical Therapy Exam, NPTE) category in the United States. Results: The results indicated that they were required to meet the doctor of physical therapist degree based on 'Guide to Physical Therapist Practice' of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). This includes general education in the areas of communications and humanities, physical science, biological science, social and behavioral science, and mathematics. A minimum of one course must be completed successfully in each area of general education. Moreover, there should be at least 68 didactic credits of professional education and 22 clinical education credits, which is a minimum of two full-time clinical internships with no less than 1050 hours in total, which were supervised by a physical therapist. Regarding the physical therapy licensure examination, National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE, 2016) consisted of a physical therapy examination (26.5%), evaluation, differential diagnosis, baseline of prognosis (32.5%), intervention (28.5%), protection, responsibility, and research (6.5%) based on the 'Guide to Physical Therapist Practice'. Conclusion: Based on the study results provided above, it is considered a standard to meet domestic reality as the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice of APTA for South Korean physical therapists.
The purpose of the study was to explore experience of self-awareness of nursing students in 'Counseling theory and practice' online class. Participants were 40 of nursing students learning of counseling theory subject in online, and Colaizzi's phenomenological method was used. The results were as follows. There were five theme clusters that 'find hidden my inner side', 'improve my healthy inner self', 'reflection of myself', 'recognize each others' different viewpoints' and 'create an aspiration and an impact'. Therefore, nursing students established self-awareness after learning of 'Counseling theory and practice' online class.

The purpose of this study was to propose ways to improve the library field practice of Department of Library and Information Science to improve the field environment and educational content, enhance students' field practice, increase efficiency, and increase students' satisfaction. To this end, a survey and interview survey were conducted on students who were going to do field training, and the results are as follows. First, students were well aware of what preparations should be made at school before going to field training. Second, students showed high awareness of their rights guarantees and requests for action in the event of problems at field training institutions. Third, students showed a high demand that field training should guarantee the minimum hourly wage. What is an issue in this regard is that policies that can satisfy both the burden of universities for continuous student guidance and evaluation, the burden of training institutions to conduct education while paying practical expenses, and the rights of students to be protected. This study was aimed at students, but it seems that realistic field practice policies should be presented from various angles as research on government ministries or university authorities is added.
Purpose: This study aims to identify the factors that affect the expected frequency of performance and the importance in nursing practice of total care service recognized by nursing college students. Methods: This is a descriptive study. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted on 288 nursing students of E university and data was collected and analyzed using the SPSS program. Results: The average scores for the expected frequency of performance and the importance in nursing practice of total care service were $4.07{\pm}0.58$ and $4.00{\pm}0.50$ respectively. The expected frequency of performance was found to have a significantly positive correlation with the importance in nursing practice. Additionally, the factors that influenced the degree of recognition in the expected frequency of performance and the importance in nursing practice of total care service among nursing students were comfortable care and respiratory care, respectively. Conclusion: The major finding of this study shows a significantly positive correlation between the expected frequency of performance and the importance in nursing practice. These results suggest that effective and systematic education is needed on factors affecting the expected frequency of performance and the importance in nursing practice for nursing college students.
Background. A midwife is a medical professional who has a nursing license, and is also licensed as a midwife with one additional year of education. In this globalization era, a midwife's role is increasing in importance for women and children's health care worldwide. Purpose. The primary purpose was to analyze midwifery education programs in Korea and other nations. The secondary purpose was to define strategies to improve midwifery education and practice, and to extend the role of a midwife women and children's health care in Korea. Methods & Results. 1) The definition of a midwife and midwifery practice recognized internationally by World Health Organization (WHO) and International Council of Nurse Midwives (ICNM) was identified. 2) Midwifery education programs of Korea, U.S.A., Sweden, Australia, and Japan, were investigated and discussed. 3) Core competencies for the basic midwifery practice suggested by ACNM of the U.S.A. were reviewed as standard of midwifery practice. 4) As for the midwifery education system, a Masters degree program in a college of nursing is suggested. 5) The role of a midwife includes not only health care of childbirth women and newborn babies, but also a lifelong health care of women as well as her family and children. Conclusion. An effort to extend the midwife's role and to improve service is imperative. The Laws/Acts related to midwives should be revised in regard to education, and practices, and the national examination for midwifery licensure needs revision to qualify for international approval. Also, midwifery curriculum and standards of practice need to be evaluated periodically, and an effective system needs to be established to renew midwife licenses.
