  • Todays the efficient management of container has not been realized in container terminal, because of the excessive quantity of container transported and manual system. For the efficient and automated management of container in terminal, the automated container identifier recognition system in terminal is a significant problem. However, the identifier recognition rate is decreased owing to the difficulty of image preprocessing caused the refraction of container surface, the change of weather and the damaged identifier characters. Therefore, this paper proposes more accurate system for container identifier recognition as suggestion of Line-Scan Proper Region Detect for stronger preprocessing against external noisy element and Moment Back-Propagation Neural Network to recognize identifier.

  • Line-scan SLS of thin Si films permits the attainment of low-defect-density Si films with a directionally solidified microstructure. This paper deals with: (1) identifying and examining the structural defects that are found in the resultant material, (2) how the spatial variations in the type and density of the observed defects may potentially affect the overall uniformity of the resulting devices, and (3) some technical options that may be applied in order to potentially alleviate the situation.

  • 본 논문에서는 선삭가공을 부품에 대한 가공 특징형상 추출 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 면저, 설계 특징형상과 가공 특징형상 을 효율적으로 나타내기 위한 데이터 구조를 설계하고, 선삭가공에 사용되는 가공 특징형상의 특성을 검토하였다. 이러한 특성 을 이용하여 주사선(Scan Line)과의 교점으로부터 가공 특징형상을 이루는 요소를 검색하고, 검색된 구성요소를 이용하여 가공 특정형상을 구성하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 알고리즘은 기존에 사용되어 왔던 패턴비교 방법에서 주어지 패턴이외의 특징 형상을 추출하기가 어렵고 계산 시간이 많이 걸리는 단점을 극복하였다. 또한 기존의 방법으로는 해결되기 어럽던 가공 특징 형상 의 간섭의 검출에서 효율적으로 적용됨을 확인하였다.

  • The purpose of this paper is the development of measurement algorithm for green-sheet based on the digital image processing technique. The Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic(LTCC) technology can be employed to produce multilayer circuits with the help of single tapes, which are used to apply conductive, dielectric and/or resistive pastes on. These single green-sheets must be laminated together and fired at the same time. Main function of the green-sheet film measurement algorithm is to measure the position and size of the punching hole in each single layer. The line scan camera coupled with motorized X-Y stage is used. In order to measure the entire film area using several scanning steps, an overlapping method is used.

  • The CF(Counter-fire) is neutralizing enemy's all command control systems and fire support elements. It will weaken a battle continuous ability and an intension to fight. At the beginning of the CF is obtaining locations of targets using various detection assets. CF command center processes acquired target information and send it to attacking equipments. The targets are classified into two classes, preplanned target and target of opportunity The target of opportunity is potential threaten, so it needs to take a immediate and exact process for determining location of target of opportunity. This paper proposes the real-time processing algorithm for offensive weapons to strike target of opportunity, and presents the result of its performance.

A New Driving Scheme for Reduction of Addressing time and its Dispersion in AC PDP

  • The conditions of the wall charges and priming particles in a unit discharge cell in AC PDP seriously affect the addressing discharge characteristics in the driving method with ramped setup pulse. Moreover, the discharge conditions at the end of the scan line may be different from the first scan line because of the difference of about 1ms address time. Consequently, the addressing time and its dispersion may be different for any two discharge cells that lead to misfiring and the increase in the total addressing time. In order to improve the addressing time and its dispersion, we have applied different addressing voltage at each cell such as progressively increase pulse voltage instead of constant one. As a result, the addressing time and its dispersion of all cells were improved by about 30% compared with the conventional driving method.

An Approach for Segmentation of Airborne Laser Point Clouds Utilizing Scan-Line Characteristics

  • In this study, we suggest a new segmentation algorithm for processing airborne laser point cloud data which is more memory efficient and faster than previous approaches. The main principle is the reading of data points along a scan line and their direct classification into homogeneous groups as a single process. The results of our experiments demonstrate that the algorithm runs faster and is more memory efficient than previous approaches. Moreover, the segmentation accuracy is generally acceptable.

제지공정의 실시간 결함 검출을 위한 영상 기반 웹 검사 시스템 (A Video based Web Inspection System for Real-time Detection of Paper Defects during Papermaking Processes)

  • In this paper, we propose a web inspection system (WIS) for real-time detection of paper defects which can cause critical fractures during papermaking process. Our system incorporates high speed line-scan camera, lighting system, and detection algorithm to provide robust and precise detection of paper defects in real-time. Since edge defects are very crucial to the paper fractures, our system focuses on the edge region of the paper instead of inspecting the whole paper area. In our algorithm, image projection and sub-pixel operation are utilized to detect the edge defects precisely and connected component labeling and shape analysis techniques are adopted to extract various kinds of the region defects. Experimental results revealed that our web inspection system is very efficient for detecting paper defects during papermaking processes.

Colour Linear Array Image Enhancement Method with Constant Colour

  • Digital images of cultural relics captured using line scan cameras present limitations due to uneven intensity and low contrast. To address this issue, this report proposes a colour linear array image enhancement method that can maintain a constant colour. First, the colour linear array image is converted from the red-green-blue (RGB) colour space into the hue-saturation-intensity colour space, and the three components of hue, saturation, and intensity are separated. Subsequently, the hue and saturation components are held constant while the intensity component is processed using the established intensity compensation model to eliminate the uneven intensity of the image. On this basis, the contrast of the intensity component is enhanced using an improved local contrast enhancement method. Finally, the processed image is converted into the RGB colour space. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method can significantly improve the visual effect of colour linear array images. Moreover, the objective quality evaluation parameters are improved compared to those determined using existing methods.
