액체탄화수소의 초임계 천이과정에 대한 거시적 특성 분석 (Macroscopic Analysis on Supercritical Transition of Liquid Hydrocarbon Fuel)

  • 추진기관의 주요 연료로 사용되는 액체 탄화수소 연료의 초임계 천이특성을 분석하기 위해서 Methylcyclohexane (MCH)의 상변화 가시화 및 MCH와 Decane의 포화곡선 측정실험을 수행하였다. 압력 정체구간은 임계점 부근에서 급격한 비열의 상승으로 존재하며, 정체구간이 종료되는 시점부터 임계점까지 임계단백광이 관측되었다. 또한, 초임계로 완전히 천이되면서 상의 경계가 사라지고 강한 밀도 구배를 관측할 수 있었다. 실험 포화온도 곡선과 수치적 데이터를 비교한 결과 단일 탄화수소계열 연료는 실험과 수치데이터가 거의 일치하는 경향을 보였으나, 혼합탄화수소계열연료의 임계점 예측에서는 다소 차이를 보였다.

Fast IHS 변환을 이용한 trade-off 영상 융합기법 (A Trade-off Image Fusion Technique Using Fast Intensity-Hue-Saturation Transform)

  • 위성영상의 융합에 있어, 가장 중요한 점은 전정영상의 공간적 세밀함과 다중분광영상의 분광정보 모두를 보존하는 것이다. 다양한 영상융합 기법 중에서, IHS 변환을 이용한 융합기법은 폭넓게 사용되고 있으며, 계산과정이 매우 단순하다는 장점을 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서는, fast IHS 변환과 trade-off 파라미터 $\alpha^i$를 이용한 융합기법을 제안한다. 제안한 융합 기법은 분광 ERGAS와 공간 ERGAS의 평가를 통하여, 융합영상에서 분광정보와 공간적 세밀함 사이의 trade-off 최적화를 가능하게 한다. IKONOS 영상의 실험결과, 제안한 기법은 기존의 fast IHS 변환을 이용한 융합기법에 비해 공간적 세밀함과 분광정보의 보존측면에서 더 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • An object color can be seen differently under the various outer illuminants. However, human visual system has color constnacy that the object color can be seen constantly under the different outer illuminants. When the viewer watches TV under specific that the object color can be seen constantly under the different outer illuminants. In this paper color enhancement algorithm based on light intensity and outer light decision funtion using RGB sensor was proposed. The implemented TV of proposed algorithm has higher visual quality at the view point of human visual system and more vivid than that ofcoventional color TV.

천층(淺層) 산사태(山沙汰) 발생에서의 물리 모델의 적용 (Application of a Physically Based Model to Shallow landsliding)

  • Topography influences shallow landslide initiation through both concentration of subsurface flow and the gradient on slope stability. A model for the topographic influence on shallow landslide initiation developed by Mongomerry et al (1994) is applied to 24 places with similar terrain and subsurface flow. The criterion of landslide prone areas developed by Korea Forestry Administration (1998) is likely to misinterpreted under the condition of heavy rainfall. Soil saturation can be predicted by this model. This relative soil saturation can be used to analyze the stability of each topographic point in the case of cohesionless soils with spatially constant thickness and saturated conductivity. The three different stages of steady state rainfall predicting to cause instability in each topographic points provide a good measure of shallow landsliding possibility.

  • This paper presents an anti-reset windup (ARW) compensation method for saturating control systems with multiple controllers and/or multiloop configuration. The proposed ARW method is motivated by the concept of equilibrium point. The design parameters of the ARW scheme is derive explicitly by minimizing a reasonable performance index. In the event of saturation, the resulting dynamics of the compensated controller reflects the dynamics of the linear closed-loop system. The proposed method guarantees the total stability o fthe resulting control systems under a certain condition. An illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. The paper is an extension of the results in Park and Choi[10].

  • In this paper, we present a decentralized adaptive neural net(NN) controller for the transient stability and voltage regulation of a multimachine power system. First, an adaptively input-output linearizing controller using NN is designed to eliminate the nonlinearities and interactions between generators. Then, a robust control term which bounds terminal voltage to a neighborhood of the operating point within the desired value is introduced using only local information. In addition, we consider input saturation which exists in the SCR amplifier and prove that the stability of the overall closed-loop system is maintained regardless of the input saturation. The design procedure is tested on a two machine infinite bus power system.

A Novel Approach for Well-Test Analysis of Volatile Oil Reservoirs in Two-Phase Flow Conditions

  • Two-phase flow near the wellbore in volatile oil reservoirs causes complications in well test analysis. In this study, the flow behavior of volatile oil reservoirs below the bubble-point pressure and the potential of radial composite model for interpretation of two-phase well test in volatile oil reservoirs was investigated. A radial composite model was used for two-phase well test analysis. A new procedure was developed to interpret well test data and estimate the radius of the two-phase region. The changes in fluid composition near the wellbore during drawdown test were found to increase the saturation pressure, which affects the saturation profile during build-up. Well test results showed that the radial composite method is a powerful tool for well test characterization and estimation of reservoir parameters. The proposed procedure was able to estimate the reservoir parameters and radius of the two-phase region with acceptable accuracy.

굴패각에 의한 인 처리가 인공습지의 수명에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Phosphorus Removal by Oyster Shell on Longevity of Constructed Wetlands)

  • 본 연구는 하수처리를 위한 VF-HF 조합형 인공습지에서 굴패각이 인공습지 수명에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해, 6년간 인공습지에서 총인의 농도 변화를 장기간 모니터링 한 후 이를 토대로 굴패각이 인공습지의 수명 연장에 미치는 영향을 종합적으로 평가하였다. 왕사만 사용한 system A에서 인이 실제 포화에 도달하는 시간은 최대 인 흡착능력에 기반한 이론적 포화치에 비해 4배 이상 긴 것으로 평가되었으며, 특히 인의 포화패턴은 운영 초기에는 일정농도 수준으로 유지되다가 흡착에서 파과점과 같은 지점을 통과하면서 서서히 포화가 진행되어가면서 최종적으로 포화에 도달하였다. 굴패각과 왕사를 혼합한 여재를 사용한 system B에서도 이론적 포화예상시간을 초과하여 안정적으로 인이 처리됨을 확인하였고, 굴패각의 첨가로 system A에 비해 인의 포화시기가 연장됨을 확인하였다. 이상의 결과를 미루어 볼 때 실제 인공습지 여재에 굴패각을 혼합하면 여재의 인 흡착량을 증가시켜 이론적인 포화치보다 인의 포화시기를 더 늘릴 수 있으며, 최종적으로 인공습지의 수명을 연장 시킬 수 있다고 판단된다. 또한 굴패각을 사용하는 것은 굴 양식장에서 발생하는 부산물인 굴패각을 재활용하는 것으로서 폐기물의 재활용 측면에서 환경오염을 줄이기 위한 방안으로도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

A Multicenter Pilot Study of Biliary Atresia Screening Using Digital Stool Color Imaging

  • Purpose: The presence of alcoholic stool in biliary atresia (BA) patients is the basis of a stool color card (SCC), a screening tool that has led to more patients receiving Kasai portoenterostomy earlier. This study aimed to evaluate the color image processing of stool images captured using smartphones. We propose that measuring digital color parameters is a more objective method for identifying BA stools and may improve the sensitivity of BA screening. Methods: A prospective study was conducted in five hospitals in Thailand between October 1, 2020, and December 31, 2021. Stools from infants presenting with jaundice, acholic stool, or dark-colored urine were photographed. Digital image color analysis was performed, and software was developed based on the color on the original SCC. Sensitivity and specificity for predicting BA stools were compared between the SCC and the software. Results: Of 33 infants eligible for data collection, 19 were diagnosed with BA. Saturation and blue were two potential digital color parameters used to differentiate BA stools. The receiver operating characteristic curve was used to determine the optimum cutoff point of both values, and when saturation ≤56 or blue ≥61 was set as a threshold for detecting BA stool, high accuracy was achieved at 81.8% and 78.8%, respectively. Conclusion: Digital image processing is a promising technology. With appropriate cutoff values of saturation in hue, saturation, value and blue in red, green, blue color models, BA stools can be identified, and equivocal-colored stools of non-BA patients can be differentiated with acceptable accuracy in infants presenting with jaundice.

Three-Phase Four-Wire Inverter Topology with Neutral Point Voltage Stable Module for Unbalanced Load Inhibition

  • A novel three-phase four-wire inverter topology is presented in this paper. This topology is equipped with a special capacitor balance grid without magnetic saturation. In response to unbalanced load and unequal split DC-link capacitors problems, a qusi-full-bridge DC/DC topology is applied in the balance grid. By using a high-frequency transformer, the energy transfer within the two split dc-link capacitors is realized. The novel topology makes the voltage across two split dc-link capacitors balanced so that the neutral point voltage ripple is inhibited. Under the condition of a stable neutral point voltage, the three-phase four-wire inverter can be equivalent to three independent single phase inverters. As a result, the three-phase inverter can produce symmetrical voltage waves with an unbalanced load. To avoid forward transformer magnetic saturation, the voltages of the primary and secondary windings are controlled to reverse once during each switching period. Furthermore, an improved mode chosen operating principle for this novel topology is designed and analyzed in detail. The simulated results verified the feasibility of this topology and an experimental inverter has been built to test the power quality produced by this topology. Finally, simulation results verify that the novel topology can effectively improve the inhibition of an inverter with a three-phase unbalanced load while decreasing the value of the split capacitor.
