  • The purpose of this study is to use an evacuation simulation program to measure the change in evacuation time according to the width of the evacuation route due to the installation of an intermediate sales counter and the placement of a shopping cart between the sales counters of a large supermarket and to analyze the results. Currently, the "Distribution Industry Development Act" does not regulate the size and installation method of intermediate sales counters installed between sales counters that serve as practical evacuation routes in the event of a fire at a large supermarket, the size of shopping carts, etc. Considering this, we set evacuation route widths of 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 100 cm and compared and analyzed evacuation times according to various variables in the facility space. As a result of the experiment, as the width of the evacuation route was expanded, there was a significant difference in the evacuation time, from a maximum of 468.3 seconds to a minimum of 320.8 seconds. Considering the safety of evacuees in large supermarkets used by many people, it is time to regulate the size of intermediate sales stands installed between sales counters in large supermarkets and shopping carts that can become obstacles in an emergency.

  • In China, the government has aggressively led the construction and expansion of airports across China. Upon this opportunity, "Korea-China" network is expected to expand. Therefore this study tried to deduce implications for Incheon International Airport by expansion of "Korea-China" traffic rights. As a result of analyzing the exchange values of traffic rights on the "Incheon~Beijing/Chengdu" routes, it was found that there is a concern that Chinese airlines could make inroads into Korean airline's market. In both routes, Korean airline's market share and passenger demand increased while the sales decreased after expanding traffic rights. On the other hand, Chinese airlines showed an increase in sales and a larger passenger growth than Korean airlines. Therefore it is necessary for the government to expand the traffic rights through detailed route value analysis.

  • We have implemented a WWW homepage which finds an optimal route for users. There already exist many web sites which provide the optimal route when a start and a destination cities are given. However, none of them can find the optimal route when a number of cities to be visited. The problem of finding the optimal route starting at a given start city and visiting through all the given intermediate cities and finally returning to the start city is called Travelling Sales Person(TSP) problem. TSP is a well known exponential time complexity problem. We have implemented an artificial intelligent search algorithm for TSP on our homepage. The main feature of our algorithm is that the destination may not be the same as the start city whereas all of the existing heuristic algorithms for TSP assume that the start and the destination cities are the same. The web page asks a user to select all the cities he or she wants to visit(including start and destination city), then it finds a sequence of the cities such that the user would travel minimum distance if he or she visits the cities in the order of the sequence. This paper presents algorithms used in the homepage.

  • A number of Chinese students who are studying in Korea have been gradually increasing since Korea and China established diplomatic relations. Many of them sale Korean products to China while studying for their degree programs in colleges. This kind of transactions can be named C2C overseas direct sales. C2C overseas direct sales which are being performed by Chinese student are good for exportation of Korean products. However Some of these transactions are not legal according to present law, First, Chinese student don't have legal status to make the transactions. Second, Chinese students usually make false declarations for evading the taxes, including tariff and VAT, Third, Chinese students can not offer the after-sale service for the goods for the Chinese consumers. Although C2C transactions have some legal matters, they should not be banned by a one-size-fits-all method. In this study, we highly recommend for the development of C2C transactions, First, Korean government should give Chinese students legal status. Second, China customs must strictly prohibit illegal activities of smuggling by taking advantage of postal route. Third, sellers in China can offer the after-sale service to consumers through some specialist A/S firms.

  • In order that a company may reduce expense, according to companies' income statement, the largest amount of money is set to total sales amount, and the next is the sales cost. The method of reducing the sales cost is the common and it is important to take down a unit price at the time of purchase, or to reduce inventory cost. In this research, the cost reduction model for logistics cost reduction is built using the real data of P company, and in order to verify the validity of a model, logistics cost is calculated through a simulation. A real logistics cost is compared with the logistics cost through logistics route rearrange of the proposal model. It will become an opportunity which analyzes the logistics expense of P company through this research, and can be solved in search of the problem of logistics system.

  • This paper introduces the multi-vehicle routing problem(MRP) which is different from the traveling sales problem(TSP), and presents the ant system(AS) applied to the MRP. The proposed MRP is a distributive model of TSP since many vehicles are used, not just one salesman in TSP and even some constraints exist. In the AS, a set of cooperating agents called vehicles cooperate to find good solutions to the MRP. To make the proposed MRP extended more, Tokyo city model(TCM) is proposed. The goal in TCM is to find a set of routes that minimizes the total traveling time such that each vehicle can reach its destination as soon as possible. The results show that the AS can effectively find a set of routes minimizing the total traveling time even though the TCM has some constraints.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify problems and suggest improvements of estimating procedures and item of fisheries supply-demand statistics served as a basis for the fisheries supply-demand policies. Korea Rural Economic Institute(KREI) and Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries(MOF) respectively publish the fisheries supply-demand statistics. But the reliability of data is low as the statistics of these two organizations are limited and show discrepancy in the numbers. It is therefore difficult to use them as the basic data for policies. Also, an accurate data aggregation is difficult due to following problems in the items of statistics. 1) Problems in estimating route sales and non-route sales of production, 2) adequacy of fishery product yield rate compared to raw material in the fisheries import/export sector, 3) selection of target companies for understand stocks and survey scope of fish species, 4) applying'0'to non-edible product demand etc. In order to develop the fisheries industry as a future growth industry, it is necessary to establish the accurate fisheries supply-demand policy as the instability of fisheries supply and demand is increasing. To do this, statistical reliability has to be improved. The improvements proposed in this study should be implemented considering urgency. First of all, an exhaustive analysis of stock statistics and conversion rates of raw material yield in the fisheries import/export sector should be conducted. In the medium term and the long term, transferring production statistics to MOF and surveys on the use demand of non-food product and the level of reduced and discarded seafood products should be carried out in consecutive order.
