  • To protect the market for various products, existing authentication techniques using ID, hologram and RFID have been gradually developed. However, these methods can be easily exposed the authentication information, and also these exposed information easily copy. Thus, production of the counterfeit goods can not completely prevent. In this paper, to solve these problems, we designed JCVM file system for saving and managing the authentication information, user's information and a sales agency information into the smart card. And we designed and implemented an authentication protocol that can authenticate to avoiding exposure using processor of the smart card. Through this, this proposed scheme can prevent occurrences of the counterfeit goods. And also, can be used for authentication as any product that can attach the smart card.

  • Purpose - If control-ownership disparity is large, managers will not actively reduce costs; rather, they will maintain unutilized resources or possess surplus resources even when sales decrease with the purpose of increasing personal utility from status, power, compensation, and prestige. These managers' utility maximizing tendencies cause cost stickiness. We examine whether asymmetric behavior related to costs becomes stronger when there is a large disparity between ownership and control rights. Research design, data, and methodology - We construct a regression model to examine the relationship between control-ownership disparity and cost stickiness. STICKY, a dependent variable representing cost stickiness is a value found using the method of Weiss (2010), and Disparity is an interest variable that shows control-ownership disparity. Results - This study is based from the unique situations in Korea, in which high control-ownership disparity is common in firms. Large control-ownership disparity was found to increase cost stickiness of corporations. Conclusions - The results of this study imply that controlling shareholders may be regarded as a threat to the interests of minority shareholders and corporate values especially when controlling shareholders have significant influence over managers or the power to make managerial decisions as owners of a corporation.

  • Nowadays, an open-market which provides sellers and consumers a cyber place for making a transaction over the Internet has emerged as a prevalent sales channel because of convenience and relatively low price it provides. However, there are few studies about CRM strategies based on VIP consumers for an open-market even though understanding VIP consumers' behaviors in open-markets is important to increase its revenue. Therefore, we propose CRM strategies targeted on VIP customers, obtained by analyzing the transaction data of VIP customers from an open-market using data mining techniques. To that end, we first defined the VIP customers in terms of recency, frequency and monetary (RFM) values. Then, we used data mining techniques to develop a model which best classifies and identifies infiluential factors customers into VIPs or non-VIPs. We also validate each of promotion types in the aspect of effectiveness and identify association rules among the types. Then, based on the findings from these experiments, we propose strategies from the perspectives of CRM dimensions for the open-market to thrive.

For this propose we have used survey datas gathered on several input and output factors from Marine engin repair companies Yeong-Do Gu. Gathering these the survey results we estimated the efficiency of each company through DEA method. The results of the analysis can be summarized as follows ; First, the result of the analysis showed 7 out of 24 DMU are not efficient companies. On the other hand 17 of them are efficient as the efficient output analyzes showed. Second, by analysing the results we could see significant differences between group companies, Ltd with a private companies with share on average efficiency in utilization. Third, two of the private companies are more effective and 6others were selected revisit and interview on the analysis. As a result inefficient DMU compared to efficient DMU and showed that they invest more on manpower in the field of sales and professional managers and techicians. Also, lots of effort devoted in order to standardize production by building capacity and environment management to improve welfare of the workers.

  • Background: Mystery shopping is a method in which a company monitors quality of service and employee conduct and compliance with regulations using an evaluator posing as a customer. It is a typical tool of customer-centered bureaucratic control insofar as it provides overall and standardized evaluation of intangible elements of customer service as well as physical elements of service environments. The purpose of this study is to examine how mystery shopping is related to the health status of service workers in South Korea. Methods: Data from semistructured interviews with 15 workers were collected from January to April 2019 to obtain information on service worker experiences with mystery shopping. Data were analyzed using the constant comparison method. Results: Mystery shopping limits worker autonomy and stiffens the workplace environment by standardizing and monitoring labor processes for service workers. In addition, mystery shopping heightens work stress through increased labor intensity. Five mechanisms by which mystery shopping affects service worker health are identified and comprise (1) multifaceted and multilayered surveillance, (2) evaluator subjectivity and irrational requirements, (3) standardized rules combined with high pressure to achieve sales, (4) self-esteem degradation because of evaluator results, and (5) musculoskeletal disorders because of strict adherence to labor processes based on evaluator results. Conclusion: Mystery shopping as an evaluation method should be reconsidered not only in terms of health problems but also in terms of organizational efficiency and issues of human rights.

  • Wheatgrass is a type of young grass that contains a lot of vitamins, minerals, and protein even compared to grain products produced from its mature cereal plants. In the context of product development and increasing product sales value, a study on the use of wheatgrass extract as an ingredient of fermented beverage was conducted. In this study wheatgrass used was self-grown using a tray in the Laboratory. The variation of wheatgrass extracts used was obtained from the twin-gear type extractor, slow-squeeze type extractor, and chopped wheatgrass. In the extraction process, the performances of the process: density, extract yield, processing capacity, and the rate of production, were analyzed. For another analysis, the physicochemical properties both of wheatgrass extracts and fermented beverages were also analyzed. The physicochemical properties analyzed included TSS, pH, acidity, and others content. The results of extraction performance analysis and physicochemical characteristics of wheatgrass extract planted at 10-20℃ based on this research gave the best results using the twin-gear extractor. The twin-gear type of extractor used in this study. All of these results were also in accordance with the statistical analysis conducted in this study.

  • This paper examines what determines the use of contingent workers in Korean Department Stores. Drawing on internal labor market, transaction cost & agency, and bureaucracy theories, I hypothesize that four factors affect the use of contingent workers: job characteristics, HRM, occupation, and organizational characteristics. Data from a sample of employers surveyed by the author in 1997 were used to test the hypotheses, and analyses showed the following results. First, consistent with job-based perspective, we find that such job characteristics as firm-specific skill and the level of skill significantly affect the use of contingent workers. But job standardization and outcome measurability have no effects of its use. Second, also we find significant effects on the use of contingent workers of such HRM as scrutiny on employee selection and promotion system. The promotion system has expected effect on its use, but scrutiny on employee selection has opposite effect. Third, we find that occupation significantly affects the use of contingent workers, especially the extent of use of contingent workers of sales service is as five hundred times as that of managerial occupation. Fourth, also consistent with organizational-based perspective, we find that the firm's size significantly has positive effects, and affiliate company and labor union have negative effects. That is, the larger firm's size is, the more possibility of use of contingent workers exists, and the possibilities of its use reduce in case of affiliate company and in front of labor union. Finally, we discuss the implications and limits of theses findings.

  • This study proposes a three-stage model of R&BD performance which captures commercialization outcomes as well as conventional R&D performance. The model is composed of three factors : inputs (R&D budgets and researchers), outputs (patents and papers), and outcomes (technical fees, products sales, and cost savings). Three stages are defined for each transformation process between the three factors : efficiency stage from input to output (stage 1), effectiveness stage from output to outcome (stage 2), and productivity stage from input to outcome (stage 3). The performance of each stage is measured by data envelopment analysis (DEA). DEA is a non-parametric efficiency measurement technique that has widely been used in R&D performance measurement. We measure the performance of 171 projects of 6 public R&BD programs managed by Seoul Business Agency using the proposed three-stage model. In order to provide a balanced and holistic view of R&BD performance, the R&BD performance map is also constructed based on performance of efficiency and productivity stages.
