In this study, an SW for the analysis of the wind-turbine vibration characteristics was developed as an application of SaaS cloud infrastructure. A measurement system for power-performance, mechanical load, and gearbox vibration as type-test class was installed at a target MW-class wind turbine, and structural meta and raw data were then acquired into the cloud. Data processing algorithms were developed to provide cloud data to the SW. To operate the SW continuously, raw data was downloaded consistently based on the algorithms. During the SW test, an intermittent long time-delay occurred due to the communication load associated with frequent access to the cloud. To solve this, a compression service for the target raw data was developed in the cloud and more stable data processing was confirmed. Using the compression service, stable big data processing of wind turbines, including gearbox vibration analysis, is expected.

The submarines reach their weakest point when they sail on the surface to operate snorkel and periscope. At this period, however, there lies a high possibility that the submarines are detected by non-acoustic sensors such as radars, IR signatures, and human observations. In this paper, the non-acoustic stealth was adopted on the mast and periscope of submarines so as to overcome their vulnerability of being easily detected in this given situation. First of all, the non-acoustic detection sensors were investigated and the stealth methods were analyzed. And multi-layered structures consisting of RAM layer, IR layer, and Camouflage layer were proposed on the surface of the submarine. As a results, multi-layered structure was suggested with 3~5 mm of a magnetic material such as ferrite for RAM layer, 1~2 mm of ceramic or nickel for IR layer, and sea-blue paint for Camouflage layer.

This study was attempted in order to search for physical properties of sail cement. In this study, soil samples were specified according to soil particle analysis and used for compaction, strength, abrasion, absorption tests respectively according to different cement contents. Cement content sused in each treatment were 6%, 8%, 10% and 12% of total weight of soil-consent mixture. In the test, compressise strengths of the specimens were measured at the following ages; 3 days, 7-days, 14-days, 21-days and 28-days. Abrasion and absorption tests of the specimens were carried out at the 7-days age only. The results obtained from the tests are summarized as follows; 1. As the cement contents were in creased, the compressive strengths of soil-cement were almost proportionally increased. 2. The Compressive strength of soil-cement was not always proporportional to ages. The gradient of compressive strength of the soil-cement was steeper as the cement content was rucreased. 3. As the cement content was increased, the amount of the weight loss of the samples due to the abrasion was decreased remarkably, giving no abrasion for about 8% of the cement content. 4. As the cement content was increased, the absorption ratio of the specimens was not changed remarkably.

As mentioned above, various safety measures are considered and discussed as hijacking of Korean vessels by pirates is increasing. Thus, the standard for ship's facilities has been partially revised and setting up an evacuation shelter on all vessels sailing dangerous zone has been reinforced. This research aims to discuss crew Citadel set up that has to sail long haul. In addition, measures against potential gas flow have to be taken due to recent pirate armed and portable rocket attacks. There is also a possibility of fire outbreak within the vessel due to its nature. Thus, this research assesses the relevant number of crew Citadel theoretically. It will also make a model by estimating the relevant number of shelters in the event of fire outbreak and implement simulation using FDS.

Currently, majority small ship's clutch for power transmission to propeller relies on multi plate hydraulic clutch regardless its size. Most of the small ships do not have a spare equipments of clutch. Furthermore, many ship engineers do not have an ability as well as enough experience to solve this problem related to the hydraulic clutch during the voyage. Therefore, any small problems cause many serious marine accidents. Once the clutch has problem, almost of all ships can not sail by itself anymore and it must be towed by salvage boat, maritime police ships, or fish guidance boat etc. In this case, all the accidents will be categorized as a marine accident and they all need to go through marine accident court inquiries. In this study, an understanding of each crew on hydraulic clutch system has been profoundly measured. Furthermore, the knowledge on an emergency navigation protocol of each crew has been also profoundly checked. Additionally, various surveys on hydraulic clutch classes has been performed and its satisfaction of crews on this topic have been carefully checked based on various feedback from students who took these courses. All of the above data from this study will be used to reduce marine accidents in current marine industry.
A specific DNA fragment from Korean radish (Raphanus sativus L.) was amplified by performing PCR with oligonucleotide primers which correspond to the highly conserved regions of plant peroxidases. The size of the PCR product was ca. 400 bp, as expected from the known plant peroxidase genes. Comparison of the nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequences of the PCR product to those of other plant peroxidase-encoding genes revealed that the amplified fragment corresponded to the highly conserved region I and III of plant peroxidases. By screening a genomic library of Korean radish using the amplified fragment as a probe, two positive clones, named prxK1 and prxK2, were isolated. Restriction mapping studies indicated that the 5.2 kb Sail fragment of the prxK1 clone and the 4.0 kb EcoRI fragment of the prxK2 clone encode separate isoperoxidase genes. Analyses of the promoter region of the prxK1 clone shows that putative CAAT box, CMT box, and TGA1b binding sequence (5' TGACGT) are present 718 bp upstream from the start codon.
The polychaeta fauna of the benthos and fouling of the northwestern part of the East Sea was studied during the period of 1971-1998. Three introduced species of polychaetes: Hydorides elegans (Haswell), Polydora limicola Annenkova, and Pseudopotamilla occelata Moore were found. H. elegans was discovered only on the artificial surfaces in Golden Horn Inlet (port Vladivostok), where this species may occur because of hermal pollution due to the discharge of warm waters of the water cooling system of Thermal-Electric Power Station-2 (TEPS-2) in Vladivostok which has been in function since 1971. The abundant population of H. elegans exists in the bay throughout the year and is capable of reproduction. The biomass of H. elegans may reach several $kg/m^2$ in August-September. P. limicola was found at the same time in the fouling of hydrotechnical structures of Vladivostok, Nakhodka, Holmsk and Uglegorsk ports with a biomass of $1-3kg/m^2$. Slow introduction of P. limicola occurs by coastal sail ships at present. The invasion of P. occelata into Peter the Great Bay may be an example of introduction and subsequent naturalization, which produced considerable changes in the structure of benthic communities. The three species of polychaetous sessile organisms and their invasion occurred by ocean and coasters sea-going ships (unintentional transport vectors). H. elegans and P. occelata were most probably transported to the northwestern part of the East Sea from Japan, and P.

Now, on developing COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) has solar panel on the south panel only. Therefore, the wheel off-loading has to be performed periodically to reduce a induced momentum energy by a asymmetric solar panel. One of two East/West station keeping maneuver to correct simultaneously longitude and eccentricity, orbit corrections may be performed during one of the two wheel off-loading manoeuvres per day to get enough observation time for meteorological and ocean sensor. In this paper, we applied a linearized orbit maneuver equation to acquire maneuver time and delta-V. Nonlinear simulation for the station keeping is performed and compared with general station keeping strategy for fuel reduction.
Mineral contents of sail in two-year-old ginseng plantation. of the top-dressings for ginseng and of the green grasses (Chung-Cho) were analyzed in order to clarify budget of inorganic nutrients of ginseng Plant. The amount of mineral nutrients contained in soil of two-year-old ginseng plantation had 56 times of nitrogen, 1.2 times of phosphorus and 20 times of potassium as compared with the requisition of two to sin-year-old ginseng plants per $\textrm{m}^2$. In consideration of the lack of phosphorus, it is recommendable to use bone mill as top dressing, which contains higher content of Phosphorus than ether top-dressings.
Al alloys have been used widely for commercial and military ships in most ocean countries since mid-1950s, and the value as light metal with high mechanical strength has been proven. As the safety and fuel efficiency of Al ships have improved, she can carry more freight, sail faster and travel longer distances. Furthermore, in the shipbuilding industry, Al alloys are applied as structural materials for ships to various areas including the deck of luxurious cruises, battleships and leisure ships. In addition, Al alloys are being spotlighted as environmental-friendly material as they can be recycled even after end of lifespan. However, Al alloys for ships must be carefully selected after considering corrosion resistance, endurance, strength, and weldability in sea water environment. Al alloys to satisfy these conditions are used widely include 5000 series Al-Mg alloy and 6000 series Al-Mg-Si alloy. Thus, this study selected and evaluated the cavitation characteristics of the 5000 series Al alloys that are used in hulls that directly contact seawater and the 6000 Al alloys that are used in the upper structures of ships. Results of cavitation test with time, weightloss and cavitation rate of 5456-H116 showed the smallest damage among 5052-O, 5456-H116 and 6061-T6.
