Purpose: This study was done to explore the relationship between perceived patient safety culture and patient safety management activities among health personnel. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey. Participants were 342 health personnel working in two tertiary hospitals. Self-administered questionnaires were used to collect data from a convenience sample of 254 nurses and 88 doctors. Results: Scores on participants' perceived patient safety culture and patient safety management activities were just over the mean. There were significant differences in patient safety management activities by type of occupation, nurses' position, length of service, and work week. Doctors scored perceived patient safety culture and patient safety management activities significantly lower than nurses. In addition, perceived patient safety culture was significantly related to patient safety management activities. Factors which influence participants' patient safety management activities were communication, type of occupation, overall evaluation of patient safety, supervisor/manager, frequency with which events were reported, and nurse's position. Conclusion: Findings provide significant evidence that patient safety management activities are associated with perceived patient safety culture. Therefore, to build a positive safety culture, health personnel, especially doctors and general nurses need to visibly commit to patient safety management activities and be role models to ensure patient safety.

These days, the interest in the gas safety management has been increasing in our society, It needs the estimates to later investment in points of the gas safety management investment for prevention costs from gas accidents. It is written the general concept of gas safety management and the items that should be invested under the current policy. However they are not defined clearly and We have lots of difficulties in adapting them to actual spots and understanding them by their carry-out. When it follows the current safety standards, they doesn't meet the possibilities of mutual comparison, because gas safety management investment's definition is different. And sufficient information is not supported to efficiency adjudication of gas safety management investment. In this paper, you can find that Gas safety management is defined in order to more effective gas safety management investment, and the Socioscentific approach method was used to decide the gas safety management items that shall be invested.

Especially because of the distinctiveness that new experiments and research provoke coexistence of various risk factors, the researchers in university laboratory are being exposed to incidents that are difficult to predict. Due to the fact that the numbers of accidents that occur at the university laboratory are increasing, the necessity for laboratory safety management is on the rise. Most laboratory accidents are caused by the ability that can detect risk factors such as unsafe behavior or unsafe condition but is not working perfectly. In order to prevent researchers in advance from unsafe behavior or unsafe condition, effective safety education, systematic safety management, safe research environment, continuous safety check and proper measures after accident are the most important factors. In this study, survey was conducted in university laboratory to identify the factors that affect on safety management and to measure the safety management level. As a result, effective measures are proposed for the improvement of the safety management level.

In this paper, the systematic problems of safety management in domestic construction industry are presented by the investigation and analysis of construction fatal injuries. In particular, it is discussed that the current construction safety management system by contractors leading is ineffective to prevent the serious accidents caused by inappropriate planning and design and to circulate the safety management cycle without interruption. A couple of ways for improving domestic construction safety management system are suggested in broad perspective. This is done by the analysis of construction safety management system of four advanced industrial countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan and the study of a best practice. Total safety management system by owners leading is recommended to prevent construction accident effectively because this system makes all the parties join to the management system and distribute the responsibilities clearly to each party. This will drop the accident occurrence rate by dragging all the parties' cooperations and activating the total safety management system in an early stage.

Poor safety management in construction management may adversely affect cost, schedule and quality of a project. Heavy fines upon safety offence becomes a burden to the budget; losing working hours as a result of safety incident impacts on the schedule, and compromising quality is always an indirect consequence when workers perform duties in an unsafe site environment. Therefore, promotion of safety management becomes the top priority in any construction manager's agenda. Working safely will benefit construction project and lead to a "real" success. This paper is a case study, based upon "Geller's 10 principles for achieving a total safety culture", reviewing how a Hong Kong leading construction company fosters the safety culture and possesses a pleasant safety record over years. Its safety performance is not only well ahead the local industry, but also ranges top within the Asia Pacific region and comparable to those mature Western industries. The review concluded that safety culture is one of the major components in construction management and collaboration is the essence to realize this positive culture within an organization. Safety management is not merely a "top down" approach, but requires the positive "bottom up" actions from the other end. The successful story of this company can demonstrate the contribution of safety management in construction management.

Purpose: This descriptive research study attempted to determine how general hospital nurses' awareness of the importance of patient safety management and patient safety competency affected patient safety management activities. Methods: From September 13 to 26, 2022, a survey was administered to 230 ward nurses who provided direct care to patients at five non-accredited general hospitals being evaluated for accreditation located in metropolitan cities. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, the t-test, one-way analysis, the Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression using SPSS for Windows version 26.0. Results: In total, 221 (96.1%) respondents were female. The average age was 32.2 years, and the average clinical experience was 3.5 years; 196 participants (85.2%) were general nurses. Patient safety competency (β = .44, p < .001), awareness of the importance of safety management (β = .31, p < .001), and medication error experience (β = -.15, p = .002) all had statistically significant associations with patient safety management activities. The explanatory power of these variables for patient safety management activities was 50.7%. Conclusion: This study confirmed that patient safety competency, awareness of the importance of patient safety management, and experience with medication errors significantly influenced patient safety management activities.

Various safety measures have been established and implemented in order to reduce construction accidents. However, statistics data on at construction sites still show higher accident and mortality rates than other industries. As a result of investigating the causes of accidents occurring in the construction industry, most accidents resulted from the failure of the system. Therefore, the existing safety management system of the construction site is monitored so that it operates properly in the field, and it is an important factor to actively participate in construction work. In order to overcome this, the government emphasized on-site inspections and planning and implementation confirmation by public institutes to ensure the effectiveness of the safety management system through amendment of the Construction Technology Promotion Act, but the orderer' safety capability and manpower are insufficient at present. Therefore, in this study, the safety management system, such as design for safety, safety management plan, safety check, safety management cost, etc. specified in the Construction Technology Promotion Act, is regularly checked and confirmed to improve the effectiveness of the safety management system as well as to improve the safety management system of the construction site by deriving measures to strengthen the public function of the government.

This paper probes into safety leadership in construction and its impacts on site safety performance. A safety leadership model for construction is proposed. It contains two impacting paths of safety leadership, namely safety management and safety culture. By action research, safety improvement is achieved through leadership fulfillment on construction sites.

Plant safety management that is enforcing introducing more than 95% in domestic manufacturing industry is using total plant efficiency by the evaluation index, and as a result, can see a lot of examples that plant productivity, economy and safety is increased. The efficient safety estimation for a business should analyze an accident data by considering every possible and potential factor. This study's purpose centers plant safety management activities that is management system for plant production and safety efficiency's maximization, plant evaluation system that plant safety management activities factor(reliability, maitainability, safety, service quality) that is enforcing in manufacturing industry can develop evaluation model that can evaluate qualitative activities by quantitative activities in process that maximize plant safety management wishes to do design.
