산업장 교대근무 근로자의 건강증진행위 예측요인 (Predictive Factors of Health promotion behaviors of Industrial Shift Workers)

  • Industrial shift workers feels suffer mental stresses which are caused by unfamiliar day sleep, noisy environment, sleeping disorder by bright light, unusual contacts with family, difficulty in meeting with friends or having formal social meetings and other social limitations such as the use of transportation. Such stresses influence health of the workers negatively. Thus the health promotion policy for shift workers should be made considering the workers' ways of living and shift work specially. This study attempted to provide basic information for development of the health promotion program for industrial shift workers by examining predictive factors influencing health promotion behaviors of those workers. In designing the study, three power generation plants located in Pusan and south Kyungsang province were randomly selected and therefrom 280 workers at central control, boiler and turbine rooms and environmental chemistry parts whose processes require shift works were sampled as subjects of the study. Data were collected two times from September 17 to October 8, 1999 using questionnaires with helps of safety and health managers of the plants. The questionnaires were distributed through mails or direct visits. Means for the study included the measurement tool of health promotion behavior provided by Park(1995), the tool of self-efficacy measurement by Suh(1995), the tool of internal locus of control measurement by Oh(1987), the measurement tool of perceived health state by Park(1995) and the tool of social support measurement by Paek(1995). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS program. Controlling factors of the subjects were evaluated in terms of frequency and percentage ratio Perceived factors and health promotion behaviors of the subjects were done so in terms of mean and standard deviation, and average mark and standard deviation, respectively. Relations between controlling and perceived factors were analyzed using t-test and ANOVA and those between perceived factors and the performance of health promotion behaviors, using Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The performance of health promotion behaviors was tested using t-test, ANOVA and post multi-comparison (Scheffe test). Predictive factors of health promotion behavior were examined through the Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. Results of the study are summarized as follows. 1. The performance of health promotion behaviors by the subjects was evaluated as having the value of mean, $161.27{\pm}26.73$ points(min.:60, max.:240) and average mark, $2.68{\pm}0.44$ points(min.:1, max.:4). When the performance was analyzed according to related aspects, it showed the highest level in harmonious relation with average mark, $3.15{\pm}.56$ points, followed by hygienic life($3.03{\pm}.55$), self-realization ($2.84{\pm}.55$), emotional support($2.73{\pm}.61$), regular meals($2.71{\pm}.76$), self-control($2.62{\pm}.63$), health diet($2.62{\pm}.56$), rest and sleep($2.60{\pm}.59$), exercise and activity($2.53{\pm}.57$), diet control($2.52{\pm}.56$) and special health management($2.06{\pm}.65$). 2. In relations between perceived factors of the subjects(self-efficacy, internal locus of control, perceived health state) and the performance of health promotion behaviors, the performance was found having significantly pure relations with self-efficacy (r=.524, P=.000), internal locus of control (r=.225, P=.000) and perceived health state(r=.244, P=.000). The higher each evaluated point of the three factors was, the higher the performance was in level. 3. When relations between the controlling factors(demography-based social, health-related, job-related and human relations characteristics) and the performance of health promotion behaviors were analyzed, the performance showed significant differences according to marital status (t=2.09, P= .03), religion(F=3.93, P= .00) and participation in religious activities (F=8.10, P= .00) out of demography-based characteristics, medical examination results (F=7.20, P= .00) and methods of the collection of health knowledge and information(F=3.41, P= .01) and methods of desired health education(F=3.41, P= .01) out of health-related characteristics, detrimental factors perception(F=4.49, P= .01) and job satisfaction(F=8.41, P= .00) out of job-related characteristics and social support(F=14.69, P= .00) out of human relations characteristics. 4. The factor which is a variable predicting best the performance of health promotion behaviors by the subjects was the self-efficacy accounting for 27.4% of the prediction, followed by participation in religious activities, social support, job satisfaction, received health state and internal locus of control in order all of which totally account for 41.0%. In conclusion, the predictive factor which most influence the performance of health promotion behaviors by shift workers was self-efficacy. To promote the sense, therefore, it is necessary to develop the nursing intervention program considering predictive factors as variables identified in this study. Further industrial nurses should play their roles actively to help shift workers increase their capability of self-management of health.

도금 사업장 근로자에게 발생한 시안화수소 급성중독과 작업환경평가 (Acute Hydrogen Cyanide Poisoning in a Plating Worker and Workplace Measurement)

  • Introduction: An unexpected death was reported in a beginner immediately after starting the work at a plating factory. After the incident, air sampling was performed using a simulation of the situation as it had been at the time. Methods: To evaluate the airborne concentration of hydrogen cyanide, a total of six samples were collected: one personal sample, three area samples, and two background samples (office and outdoors). Hydrogen cyanide measurement was performed according to the standard sampling protocol recommended by the U.S. NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health). Results: The highest concentration of hydrogen cyanide was 0.938 ppm measured in a sample collected from the plating bath area with local exhaust ventilation. This value was approximately 20% of the ceiling occupational exposure limit. The personal sample showed a concentration of 0.135 ppm. Samples collected near the bath in which the incident occurred and a dehydrator showed hydrogen cyanide concentrations of 0.236 ppm and 0.101 ppm, respectively. Hydrogen cyanide was not detected in the background samples (office and outdoors). Conclusions: It is necessary to use proper ventilation systems and respirators in plating factories to prevent acute poisoning. Furthermore, it is important to educate and train new workers dealing with toxic substances.

선원들의 손위생 수행에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (Analysis of Factors Affecting Hand Hygiene Practices in Seafarers)

  • 본 연구는 선박이라는 특수한 환경에서 생활하는 선원을 대상으로 손위생 수행도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 파악하여 선원 승선 생활에서의 기본적인 감염관리 활동을 독려하여 건강한 승선생활에 도움이 되고자 하였다. 본 조사는 선원교육기관에 교육을 받고 있는 선원 222명을 대상으로 2017년 7월부터 8월까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구대상자의 승선 중 손위생 수행도는 75점 만점에 전체 평균 $47.97{\pm}11.62$으로 나타났으며, 항목별로는, 5점 만점기준으로 '업무나 작업을 마친 후'가 $4.04{\pm}1.03$으로 가장 높은 점수를 보였고 연구대상자의 손위생 수행도에 선박의 총 톤수, 승선 중 운동여부, 선내 비누비치여부가 다중회귀분석으로 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과에 기초하여 향후 선원들의 손위생 수행도와 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하는 후속연구가 필요하며, 일반적 특성, 직무특성, 건강관련 특성, 손위생 환경뿐만 아니라 다양한 변수들을 고려하여 선원의 손위생 수행에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 세밀한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 또한, 승선 중에 있는 선원들에 대한 손위생 수행에 대한 지속적인 관심이 필요하고 손위생 수행을 향상 시킬 수 있는 체계적인 방안이 구체적으로 마련되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

3D 프린터 빌드시트용 무용제 UV 경화형 아크릴 점착제의 제조 (Solvent-free UV-curable Acrylic Adhesives for 3D printer build sheet)

  • 적층제조법 기반의 3D 프린팅 기술은 사용자가 원하는 상품을 출력하여 제공하지만 고온의 사용 환경 및 용융된 필라멘트 수지의 냉각 과정에서 변동적 수축현상이 발생하여 상품의 출력편차를 야기한다. 본 연구에서는 출력물의 들뜸과 뒤틀림을 방지하고 정밀한 형상의 고품질 출력물을 제작하기 위하여 3D 프린터 빌드시트용 아크릴 점착제를 연구하였다. 고온에서 점착특성이 유지되고 점착제로부터 출력물의 안착과 원활한 탈거를 위해 부착성과 강인성이 우수하고 높은 유리전이온도를 갖는 4-acryloylmorpholine (ACMO)를 첨가하여 무용제 타입의 점착제 조성물을 설계하였다. 단량체의 후첨가방식을 사용하여 두 단계를 통해 아크릴 조성물을 합성하였고, 합성된 조성물로 코팅한 점착제 필름을 다각도에서 분석하였다. 그 결과 제조된 점착제는 높은 유리전이온도를 보이고 열처리 전/후에 따른 박리강도 차이가 보이지 않았으며, 유변학적 물성 분석을 통해 점착제의 우수한 접착력 뿐만 아니라 변형 없이 탈착이 가능한 물성을 갖음을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 제조된 점착제를 3D 프린터의 빌드시트로 활용하였을 때 안착성 및 작업성이 양호하고 출력편차가 적은 출력물을 얻었다. 기존 판매중인 빌드시트와 비교하였을 때 본 연구에서 제조한 점착제 위에서는 출력물이 원활하게 탈거가 가능하기 때문에 FDM 방식 3D프린터의 사용자들에게 작업 편의성을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

일반병원과 치과병원과의 방사선 관계종사자 피폭선량 비교분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Exposure Doses between the Radiation Workers in Dental and General Hospital)

  • Research and investigation is required for the exposure dose of radiation workers to work in the dental hospital as increasing interest in exposure dose of the dental hospital recently accordingly, study aim to minimize radiation exposure by making a follow-up study of individual exposure doses of radiation workers, analyzing the status on individual radiation exposure management, prediction the radiation disability risk levels by radiation, and alerting the workers to the danger of radiation exposure. Especially given the changes in the dental hospital radiation safety awareness conducted the study in order to minimize radiation exposure. This study performed analyses by a comparison between general and dental hospital, comparing each occupation, with the 116,220 exposure dose data by quarter and year of 5,811 subjects at general and dental hospital across South Korea from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2012. The following are the results obtained by analyzing average values year and quarter. In term of hospital, average doses were significantly higer in general hospitals than detal ones. In terms of job, average doses were higher in radiological technologists the other workes. Especially, they showed statistically significant differences between radiological technologists than dentists. The above-mentioned results indicate that radiation workers were exposed to radiation for the past 5 years to the extent not exceeding the dose limit (maximum $50mSv\;y^{-1}$). The limitation of this study is that radiation workers before 2008 were excluded from the study. Objective evaluation standards did not apply to the work circumstance or condition of each hospital. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to work out analysis criteria that will be used as objective evaluation standard. It will be necessary to study radiation exposure in more precise ways on the basis of objective analysis standard in the furture. Should try to minimize the radiation individual dose of radiation workers.

1급 응급구조사의 직종에 따른 직무만족도 및 업무스트레스 (Job Satisfaction and Work Stress of EMT-paramedic's According to type of Occupation)

  • 본 연구는 응급구조사가 배출된지 21년이 지난 시점에서 119와 병원에서 근무하는 응급구조사들을 근무 기관별로 업무스트레스와 직무만족도를 비교분석하여 119와 병원의 차이와 장단점을 파악함으로써 우리나라의 1급 응급구조사들의 근무여건을 개선하고 보다 나은 근무환경을 조성하는데 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 수행하였다. 광주광역시와 전라남도, 전라북도의 28개 119안전센터와 14개 권역응급의료센터 및 지역응급의료센터에서 근무하는 1급 응급구조사 182명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS/WIN 20.0을 사용하였으며, 카이제곱검정, t-test, ANOVA, ANCOVA로 분석하였다. 업무스트레스는 119근무자(2.92), 병원근무자(3.01)으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 직무만족도는 소방근무자(2.98), 병원근무자(2.54)으로 병원근무자들이 크게 유의하게 낮았다(p<0.001). 또한 병원근무자들의 보수 영역에서 가장 낮은 점수가 보였으며($2.07{\pm}0.62$), 월 평균 환자수가 적을수록(p<0.001), 월수입이 높을수록(p=0.047), 휴가가 많을수록(p<0.001) 업무스트레스가 낮고, 직무만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 업무스트레스를 감소시키고 직무만족도를 높이기 위해 119와 병원 모두 근무복지여건의 개선이 필요하고, 119의 경우, 구급대원 폭행 방지 대책과 휴식공간이 필요하고 특히 병원의 경우는 급여와 연간 급여증가율, 고용형태의 안정을 개선해야 한다.

직무스트레스가 피로와 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 - 경기소방 일부 119구급대원을 중심으로 - (Influence of Job Stress on Fatigue and Job Satisfaction - with Some 119 Emergency Medical Technician in Gyeonggido -)

  • Purpose : This study was to examine the influence of job stress of 119 Emergency Medical Technician on fatigue and job satisfaction. Methods : Subjects of this study were 228 Emergency Medical Technicians who worked at 119 Safety Center of total 92 fire stations in 12 cities of Gyeonggido including U, N, H, B, A, S, Y, G, G, G, P and I and the period of data collection was from July 11 to Sep. 10, 2007. Collected data were analyzed with SPSS 14.0 version. Results : Conclusions of this study were as follows. 1) Factor related to organization among job stress factors had the greatest influence on fatigue (B = 0.334, p < 0.01), followed by crisis situation factor (B = 0.2042, p < 0.01), inappropriate treatment factor (B = 0.174, p < 0.05), role conflict factor as special job (B = 0.109, p < 0.05) and professional knowledge and technique factor (B = 0.109, p < 0.05), and the influence of job stress factors on fatigue was explained as $R^2=0.340$. 2) Mental burden factor of job stress factors had the greatest influence on job satisfaction (B = -0.606, p < 0.01), followed by organization factor (B = -0.473, p < 0.01) and interpersonal relation and conflict factor (B = -0.339, p < 0.01), and the influence of job stress factor on fatigue was explained as $R^2=0.308$. Conclusions : Job stress of 119 rescuer is increasing continuously and such an accumulated stress lowers the job efficiency. In order to reduce, job stress, it is important to extend(${\rightarrow}$ have) proper self-development, maintain close relationships and mutual correlations among members of organization in personal dimension and to solve the role conflicts, define the organizational roles and simplify excessive job description into concrete work.

Status and Prospects of Food Irradiation Technology in Korea

  • In Korea, the health authorities and food industry emphasize the need of sanitary food production, which in mainly resulted from the recent growing of consumer's interest in the safety of food. For the reason, development of a new alternative technology to chemicals, currently used for decontamination and disinfestation, has become and urgent task in the domestic and worldwide food industry. Furthermore, the improvement of quality and manufacturing process of processed food is a requisite for winning the competition in export fields. Irradiation technology being practically applicable in the food industry has been well established on the basis of more than 40 years of R&D work in the fields of the increasing availability of food-stuffs, sanitary food production and quarantine treatment in the food trade. The wholesomeness of irradiation foods has been officially approved in 38 countries, of which 30 countries are commercially utilizing food irradiation technology. The first commercial irradiator in Korea(18.5PBq:500k{TEX}$Ci^{60}${/TEX} Co, max. cap; 4MCi) was established at Yeoju-gur, Kyung Ki-do with the technical assistance of Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute in June 1987. As of 1996, thirteen irradiated food groups (over 25 items)have been domestically approved for human consumption and an industrial irradiation facility is also available. 특수병과의 과거 군 소음 노출이 소음 노출 작업자의 청력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of working Noise Exposure and Military Background on the Hearing Threshold)

  • 과거 군 복무 기간 동안 청력에 영향을 미치는 사격 및 포격 등 소음에 노출된 군 경력이 현재 소음 노출 근로자에게 어떤 청각학적 영향을 미치며, 소음성 난청의 발생과 관련이 있는지를 평가하고자 하였다. 중소규모 선박수리 및 건조업체 15개 사업체 440명을 대상으로 근로자의 일반 사항, 임상증상, 현재의 청력과 관련한 과거 이과적 병력, 군 복무시 충격소음의 상시적 노출 등의 군 경력, 이명 등의 자각증상에 관한 설문조사와 순음청력검사 및 중이검사를 시행하였다. 현 직종에서의 소음 노출군 중 과거 군에서 소음 노출군이 각 주파수별 청력역치와 평균 청력역치가 가장 컸으며, 특히 2-8kHz의 주파수 역치에서 차이가 크게 나타났다. 청력손실자의 비율 및 중증도의 정도가 현 직종에서의 소음 노출군 중 과거 군에서 소음 노출군이 가장 높은 비율을 보였으며, 특히 감각신경성 난청으로서 소음성 난청자가 통계적으로 유의하게 더 많았다. 이명은 현재 소음 노출 직종에 있는 군에서 높았으며, 그중 군 소음 노출군이 46.2%로 유의하게 더 높았다. 소음성 난청 여부를 종속변수로 한 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과, 연령, 현 직종 근무기간, 군 소음 노출력, 현 직종에서의 소음 노출 여부가 유의한 독립변수로 작용하였다. 우측 귀의 경우, 소음성 난청에 대한 군 소음 노출력의 비차비는 4.5이었고, 현 직종의 소음 노출의 비차비는 7.9이었다. 군 소음 노출 및 현 작업 소음 노출 여부에 따른 각 군별 좌우측 귀의 4 kHz 청력역치와 평균 청력역치는 I군에서 좌우측 귀 모두 나이 및 근무기간이 증가할수록 가장 크게 영향을 미치며 유의하게 증가하였으며 II군, III군, IV군 순으로 청력 역치가 증가하였다. 군에서 노출되는 충격소음은 청력손실과 이명 등 청각학적 영향을 미치며 사업장에서 소음 노출에 따른 소음성 난청의 발생에도 부가적인 영향을 미친다. 따라서 군에서의 소음 노출에 따른 청각학적 영향을 예방하기 위해서뿐만 아니라 소음 노출 근로자에 대한 청력 관리 측면에서도 이의 조기 진단, 치료, 보상 및 재활을 위해서는 군에서의 소음 노출 문제까지 함께 다루어야 함을 시사한다.

그라우팅과 누수 문제에 대처한 온도센서 배열 모니터링 장치 개발 (Development of monitoring device with thermal line sensors and its use for grouting and leakage problems)

  • The measurement of abnormal change of temperature(temperature anomaly) will help determine the safety of various engineering constructions, as the measurement in body often used to diagnose one's health. Temperature anomaly can be occurred in leakage or seepage of water flow in rocks, and in ground water table etc. Grouting materials injected in fractured rocks generate heat during hardening process. The degree of temperature change is associated directly with heat flow characteristics, that is, thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity. density of the surrounding rocks and can afford to assess the grouting efficiency. However, in practice, the use of traditional temperature measuring technique composed of only one single thermal sensor has been fundamentally limited to acquire thermal data sufficient to use for that, partly due to the time-consuming measuring work, partly due to the non-consecutive quality of data. Thus, in this paper, a new concept of temperature measuring technique, what we call, thermal line sensor technique is introduced. In this, the sensors with an accuracy of $0.02^{\circ}$ are inserted at regular intervals in one line cable and addressed by a control device, which enables to fundamentally enhance the capability of data acquisition in time and space. This new technology has been demonstrated on diverse field model experiments. The results were simply meant to be illustrative of a potential to be used for various kinds of temperature measurements encountered in grouting and leakage problems.
