Findings - First, only contingent bonus is affected by general human capital and reputation. Second, the career concerns of CEOs are relevant, especially when explaining CEO tenure. Third, we offer an alternative view of what determines the level of cash compensation schemes and the factors that affect the running of a firm. Fourth, we also suggest that the increase in general human capital can be explained by the increase in its relative importance in managing a modern firm. Overall, the results of this study do not only contribute to academics but also important to boards and shareholders. Research implications or Originality - This study intends to fill the gap in the extant literature by examining the relationship between general human capital and compensation schemes.First, we add to the compensation literature by arguing that a cash compensation scheme is efficient for generalist CEOs. We break down CEO cash compensation schemes into fixed and contingent bonus compensation and investigate whether general human capital differentially affects CEO cash compensation schemes, and thus, the sensitivity to unequal pay for human capital. Second, we contribute to the reputation literature by arguing that CEO perceived reputation also affects CEO compensation schemes.

The analysis results show that overseas expansion of the research subject brand has positive influence on the brand possessing global images. However, it can be seen that the quality of the brand has much larger influence on the reputation of the brand than the images of global brand. In addition, the images of the expanded countries have influence on purchasing decisions but the global images based on the expanded countries did not have much influence on purchasing decisions. Therefore, it can be seen that global images based on high levels of brand reputation and quality are requirements of a most competitive brand than images of the expanded countries in forecasting likelihood of purchase.

  • Telecare, one of the e-healthcare services with lCT, is a promising technology which aims to monitor the state of patients and then provide the medical services appropriately in remote sites. Virtual telecare team based on the concept of virtual collaborative teams which consist of a patient, a doctor, and a telecare team, operates on a temporary basis in need. Reputation, which means the degree of a patient's belief to a doctor in consideration, is the most important factor to make the virtual telecare team trustable. In this paper, we propose the fuzzy reputation model of a virtual telecare team, which is a reputation-based trust model based on fuzzy set theory. An illustrative example is also given in order to show the applicability of the model to the concept of a virtual telecare team.
