Purpose: Laparoscopic distal gastrectomy (LDG) is a well-established procedure for the treatment of early gastric cancer. Several reconstruction methods can be adopted after LDG according to tumor characteristics and surgeon preference. This study aimed to compare the remnant gastric functions after different reconstructions. Materials and Methods: In total, 221 patients who underwent LDG between March 2005 and October 2013 were reviewed retrospectively. The patients were classified into four groups based on the reconstructive procedure: Billroth I (BI) anastomosis, Billroth II (BII) with Braun anastomosis, Roux-en-Y (RY) reconstruction, or uncut RY reconstruction. Patient demographics, surgical outcomes, and postoperative endoscopic findings were reviewed and compared among groups. Results: Endoscopic evaluations at $11.8{\pm}3.8$ months postoperatively showed less frequent gastritis and bile reflux in the remnant stomach in the RY group compared to the BI and BII groups. There was no significant difference in the gastric residue among the BI, BII, and RY groups. The incidence of gastritis and bile reflux in the uncut RY group was similar to that in the RY group, while residual gastric content in the uncut RY group was significantly smaller and less frequently observed than that in the RY group (5.8% versus 35.3%, P=0.010). Conclusions: RY and uncut RY reconstructions are equally superior to BI and BII with Braun anastomoses in terms of gastritis and bile reflux in the remnant stomach. Furthermore, uncut RY reconstruction showed improved stasis compared to conventional RY gastrojejunostomy. Uncut RY reconstruction can be a favorable reconstructive procedure after LDG.
We have used two kinds of P element constructs, Pc[(ry+)B] and p[(ry+)$\Delta$SX9], for genetic transformation by microinjection of D. melanogaster. Pc[(ry+)B] construct carrying the rosy gene within an autonomous P element was injected into a true M strain caring the ry506. mutation. The source of transposase for microinjection and transformation was provided by a P element helper plasmid designated p-$\Delta$2-3hs$\pi$, which was co-injected with nonautonomous P[(ry+)$\Delta$SX9] construct into same ry506 M strains. A dechorination method was adopted and 35 independent transformed lines were obtained froin 1143 G0 Injected (35/1143). About 20% of the injected embryos eclosed as adults. Among G0 eclosed flies, approximately 40% exhibited eye color that was similar to wild-type (ry+), but about 60% of fertile G0 transformed lines appeared to have no G1 transformants. Therefore it is unlikely that G0 expression requires integration of the rosy transposon into chromosomes. Pc[(ry+)B] and P[(ry+)$\Delta$SX9] constructs were found to be nearly same in the frequency of element-mediated transformation. On the basis of these results, nonautonomous P elements constructs could he used as same effective vectors in P element-mediated transformation for introducing and fixing genes in insect populations.
This test has been carried out to evaluate the effect of temperature on the growth of the insecticide susceptible strain, URY-O nomal genotype and insecticide resistant strain, O-RT abnormal genotype, and ABURABI nomal genotype. The nymphal periods were not significantly different between URY-O and O-RY strains at $25^{\circ}C$. At $30^{\circ}C$, susceptible strain URY-O could give birth to offsprings almost nomally, while resistant strain O-RY could not produce any offspring for 20 days which results in nymphal death. The numbers of offsprings of strain URY-O and strain ABURABI were not different between $25^{\circ}C\;and\;28^{\circ}C$, but strain O-RY, when it was reared at $28^{\circ}C$, could produce offsprings only 10% of those at $25^{\circ}C$. Body weight of strain URY-O and strain ABURABI were 0.22mg/female and 0.27mg/female, respectively at $28^{\circ}C$, however that of O-RY was only 0.16mg/female, showing considerable difference between normal and abnormal genotype. Substrain O-RY(+) which has high esterase activity showed poor reproduction ability(0.8 progenies per $G_{1}$ individual than substrain O-RY(-) (3.4 progenies per $G_{1}$ individual) which has low esterase activity at $28^{\circ}C$

This paper is a research on the origins and the developing process of $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ centering on the change of its form. From the beginning of A. D era Central Asia had played the important role of a traffic route connecting China and its western adjacent world. Through this route $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ was introduced into China (South-North Dynasty era). The form of $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ in early period was Ban-Gum-Po (Open-collared costume that turn down the collar to the outside), and it could be worn close-collared or open-collared. From the fact that the people who wore $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ in early period were mainly Iranian and that it was also worn by lower class like a waiting maid, it can be said that $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ was not the costume of Han race. In early period the motif of the inside of collar was Persian style, and the people of central Asia was mostif Iranian. In short, $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ was the costum of the people lived in the adjacent world west of China, particulary Iranians. The form of $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ changed from Ho-Bok to Ban-Gum-Po owing to the differences in climate. In conclusion, $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ originated in Ho-Bok ana was introduced into the world west of china by the movement of Horrse-riding Race. Then its form was changed owing to the factors like climate, natural and cultural features, and consepuently it was introduced into China by way of Centeral Asia. In China it was settled as $Dan-Ry\={o}ng$ through the ages of T'ang dynasty, Sung dynasty, Ming dynasty.
Theoretical studies of the effect of the nonleaving group (RY) on the breakdown mechanism of the tetrahedral anionic intermediate, T-, formed by the addition of a less basic phenoxide nucleophile (X) to phenyl benzoates with a more basic phenoxide leaving group (Z) have been carried out using the PM3 MO method. The identity acyl transfer reactions (X=Z) are facilitated by an electron-withdrawing RY whereas they are inhibited by an electron-donating RY group. The results of non-identity acyl transfer reactions indicate that a more electron-donating RY group leads to a greater lowering of the higher barrier, TS2, with a greater degree of bond cleavage, and a greater negative charge development on the phenoxide oxygen atom, whereas the opposite is true for a more electron-withdrawing RY group, i.e., leads to a greater lowering of the lower barrier, TS1. The results provide theoretical basis for the signs of ρXY(>0) and ρYZ(<0) observations.

In skeletal muscle cells, depolarization of the transverse tubules (T-tubules) results in Ca$\^$2+/ release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR), leading to elevated cytoplasmic Ca$\^$2+/ and muscle contraction. This process has been known as excitation-contraction coupling (E-C coupling). Several proteins, such as the ryanodine receptor (RyR), triadin, junctin, and calsequestrin (CSQ), have been identified to be involved in the Ca$\^$2+/ release process. However, the molecular interactions between the SR proteins have not been resolved. In the present study, the mechanisms of interaction between RyRl and triadin have been studied by in vitro protein binding and $\^$45/Ca$\^$2+/ overlay assays. Our data demonstrate that the intraluminal loop II of RyR1 binds to triadin in Ca$\^$2+/-independent manner. Moreover, we could not find any Ca$\^$2+/ binding sites in the loop II region. GST-pull down assay revealed that a KEKE motif of triadin, which was previously identified as a CSQ binding site (Kobayasi et al.,2000 JBC) was also a binding site for RyR1. Our results suggest that the intraluminal loop II of RyR could participate in the RyR-mediated Ca$\^$2+/ release process by offering a direct binding site to luminal triadin.
Purpose: Although dumping symptoms are thought to involve postprandial glycemic changes, postprandial glycemic variability without dumping symptoms remains poorly understood due to the lack of a method that allows the easy and continuous measurement of blood glucose levels. Materials and Methods: Patients having undergone distal gastrectomy with Billroth-I (DG-BI) or Roux-en-Y reconstruction (DG-RY), total gastrectomy with RY (TG-RY) and pylorus preserving gastrectomy (PPG) for gastric cancer 3 months to 3 years prior, diagnosed as pathological stage I or II, were prospectively enrolled from March 2018 to January 2020. The interstitial tissue glycemic levels were measured every 15 min, up to 14 days by continuous glucose monitoring. Moreover, using a diary recording the diet and symptoms, asymptomatic glucose profiles without sugar supplementation within 3 h postprandially were compared among the four procedures. Results: A total of 40 patients were enrolled, 10 patients for each of the four procedures. There were 47 glucose profiles with DG-BI, 46 profiles with DG-RY, 38 profiles with TG-RY, and 46 profiles with PPG. PPG showed the slowest increase with a subsequent gradual decrease in glucose fluctuations, without hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia, among the four procedures. In contrast, TG-RY and DG-RY showed spike-like glycemic variability, sharp rises during meals, and rapid drops. The glucose profiles of DG-BI were milder than those of RY. Conclusions: The asymptomatic glycemic changes after meals differ among the types of surgical procedures for gastric cancer. Given the mild glycemic fluctuations in PPG and the glucose spikes in TG-RY and DG-RY, pylorus preservation and physiological reconstruction without changes in food pathways may optimize postprandial glucose profiles after gastrectomy.
This research is about influence on academic motivation and satisfaction of college life by Dong-A-Ry activity in students on department of dental hygiene. The results of the study were as follows: 1. The relationship between academic motivation and Dong-A-Ry activity was found to a positive relationship with ${\alpha}$ <0.05 in analysis of variance, which shows that correlation between variables are significantly high. 2. The relationship between satisfaction of college life and Dong-A-Ry activity was found to a positive relationship with ${\alpha}$ < 0.05 in analysis of variance, which shows that correlation between variables are significantly high. 3. This research suggests that students obtain the experience of group activity which is difficult to approach by regular curricular activity. As a result, to improve the highly motivated study and the better satisfaction in college life, Dong-A-Ry activities are needed. And Dong-A-Ry activity can be efficiently facilitated by active participants, efficient program development, facilitator's leadership and so on.

In the heart, excitation-contraction (E-C) coupling is mediated by $Ca^{2+}$ release from sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) through the interactions of proteins forming the $Ca^{2+}$ release unit (CRU). Among them, calsequestrin (CSQ) and histidine-rich $Ca^{2+}$ binding protein (HRC) are known to bind the charged luminal region of triadin (TRN) and thus directly or indirectly regulate ryanodine receptor 2 (RyR2) activity. However, the mechanisms of CSQ and HRC mediated regulation of RyR2 activity through TRN have remained unclear. We first examined the minimal KEKE motif of TRN involved in the interactions with CSQ2, HRC and RyR2 using TRN deletion mutants and in vitro binding assays. The results showed that CSQ2, HRC and RyR2 share the same KEKE motif region on the distal part of TRN (aa 202-231). Second, in vitro binding assays were conducted to examine the $Ca^{2+}$ dependence of protein-protein interactions (PPI). The results showed that TRN-HRC interaction had a bell-shaped $Ca^{2+}$ dependence, which peaked at pCa4, whereas TRN-CSQ2 or TRN-RyR2 interaction did not show such $Ca^{2+}$ dependence pattern. Third, competitive binding was conducted to examine whether CSQ2, HRC, or RyR2 affects the TRN-HRC or TRN-CSQ2 binding at pCa4. Among them, only CSQ2 or RyR2 competitively inhibited TRN-HRC binding, suggesting that HRC can confer functional refractoriness to CRU, which could be beneficial for reloading of $Ca^{2+}$ into SR at intermediate $Ca^{2+}$ concentrations.
Biodegradation of vanous medium-chain-length polyhydroxyalkanoates (MCL-PHAs) by an extracellular depolymerase system from Pseudomonas sp. RY-1 was investigated under laboratoly conditions. The degradation rate of the polymers was determined by quantitative clem zone technique, enzyme (turbidity) assay, and respirometry assay. Although the enzyme system secreted by Pscudomor~as sp. RY-1 was capable of degrading all MCL-PHAs tested. its secretion was influenced by the availability of secondary carbon sources. The rate of enzymatic degradation of MCL-PHAs was dependent upou the monomeric composition of the polyesters and reduced as the chain lengths of the monomer m t s in the polyesters increased. MCL-PHAs containing C-even monomer units showed faster degradation rate than MCL-PHAs containing C-odd monomer units. Respiration rates of MCL-PHAs with C-even monomer uuts were also much faster than those of MCL-PHAs with C-odd monomer units. The degmdation rate of MCL-PHAs bearing unsaturated substituents was faster than that of mcl-PHAs without functional substituents, which is suggesting the correlation between the degradation rate and the crystallinity of MCL-PHAs.
