  • ATC/ATO/TWC System is the used for the train operation instead of drivels. It is interfaced with train, train equipment, wayside facilities. In this paper described configuration signaling system, construction of signaling system software and structure of system safety. This paper describes the method of performing automatic driving by ATC/ATO/TWC. Also, reported test result for mainline static test and mainline running test.

An Analytic solution for the Hadoop Configuration Combinatorial Puzzle based on General Factorial Design

  • Big data analytics offers endless opportunities for operational enhancement by extracting valuable insights from complex voluminous data. Hadoop is a comprehensive technological suite which offers solutions for the large scale storage and computing needs of Big data. The performance of Hadoop is closely tied with its configuration settings which depends on the cluster capacity and the application profile. Since Hadoop has over 190 configuration parameters, tuning them to gain optimal application performance is a daunting challenge. Our approach is to extract a subset of impactful parameters from which the performance enhancing sub-optimal configuration is then narrowed down. This paper presents a statistical model to analyze the significance of the effect of Hadoop parameters on a variety of performance metrics. Our model decomposes the total observed performance variation and ascribes them to the main parameters, their interaction effects and noise factors. The method clearly segregates impactful parameters from the rest. The configuration setting determined by our methodology has reduced the Job completion time by 22%, resource utilization in terms of memory and CPU by 15% and 12% respectively, the number of killed Maps by 50% and Disk spillage by 23%. The proposed technique can be leveraged to ease the configuration tuning task of any Hadoop cluster despite the differences in the underlying infrastructure and the application running on it.

  • The dynamic simulation for automobile running on bumpy road is introduced. The modeling method that is a very close approximation to automobile is presented. Because the output printed at every integration time step is lots of amount, to save the time of interpretation of dynamic response, the ouptput data are interactively processed by PLOT88, also a configuration of automobile is generated by animated graphic displays using PADL and APPLICON.

Xilinx 7-Series FPGA의 소프트 에러에 대한 가용성 분석 (Availability Analysis of Xilinx 7-Series FPGA against Soft Error)

  • 고성능 디지털 회로 구현에 매우 많이 사용되는 Xilinx사의 7-Series FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)는 configuration memory가 SRAM 기반으로 제작되어 configuration memory에 소프트 에러(soft error)가 발생하는 경우 FPGA는 오동작하게 된다. Xilinx사에서 제공하는 SEM(Soft Error Mitigation) Controller를 이용하면 configuration memory에서 발생하는 소프트 에러의 영향을 줄일 수 있다. SEM Controller는 FPGA의 configuration memory 영역에 추가된 ECC(Error Correction Code)와 CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Code) 기능을 이용하여 configuration memory에 발생한 소프트 에러를 감지하여 필요시 partial reconfiguration 과정을 수행하여 FPGA의 기능을 소프트 에러 발생 이전으로 복구한다. 본 논문에서는 Xilinx사의 7-Series FPGA에서 SEM Controller를 이용하여 configuration memory의 소프트 에러를 검출하고 정정할 때 FPGA의 신뢰도를 가용성(availability) 관점에서 분석한다. 이를 위해 SEM Controller의 소프트 에러 정정 성능에 따른 가용성 함수를 유도하고 그 효과를 검토한다. 연구 결과는 소프트 에러가 발생하는 환경에서 동작하는 SRAM 기반 FPGA의 신뢰성 예측에 사용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 고성능 디지털 회로 개발과 구현에 사용되는 SRAM 기반 FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)는 configuration memory가 SRAM으로 구현되었기 때문에 configuration memory에 소프트 에러가 발생하는 경우 오동작하게 된다.   • A train performance simulation (TPS) software is a computer program that simulates the operation of a train system over a specified railway route and it is widely used in railroad operation and research applications. Numerical and graphical results from the simulation software, which is developed in this study, provide information on such performance variables as travel time. running speed, energy consumption at a specific time interval and in overall service time as the train moves along the route. Three types of input data are required for a computer simulation: track information, train information, and running conditions. The simulation of train performance starts with several simple mathematical models including train configuration. traction efforts, running resistance. and braking requirements. Based on the basic specifications of Korean High Speed Railway, System. this study, puts a focus on the estimation and assessment of train performance comparing. the specific train configurations of KEST20/11. CPLE20/10. PROP20/10, which are proposed from the previous G7 projects.

  • The vibration of an attractive magnetic levitation(Maglev) vehicle transportation system is caused by the irregularity of the guideway track and the performance of the suspensions of the Maglev system. It is essential for us to give attention to the secondary suspension of the vehicle system as it determines the ride quality. In order to improve the ride quality and running stability, active secondary suspensions have been developed and applied to the vibration problems. This paper analyzes the performance of the active secondary suspension which is applied to an attractive magnetic levitation vehicle system running on a rough track. The dynamics of the suspension system and the optimal control problems are studied. According to the transient and frequency response analyses to the track disturbance, the ride quality of an attractive Maglev vehicle has been improved by applying the designed LQR active controller, and it has been confirmed that this improvement was also influenced by the configuration of the system.

무절연구간을 위한 열차위치검지방식 검토 (A review of the train position detection method for neutral section with energized condition)

  • The high speed line and conventional line are a single-phase AC feeding system; and power supplies of different phases meet at SS(SubStation)s or SP(Sectioning Post)s. These sections should be negotiated with the main circuit breaker in the traction vehicle switched off, whereby the length of the neutral zone prevents the pantographs shunting adjacent overhead line section. In order for electric railway vehicles to make power running there, there must be a power supply changeover section (approx. for 1km), where a changeover switch changes a power supply to the other power supply of a train running direction sequentially. For a thorough changeover switching control, the precise train position detection is necessarily required. In this paper, to realize the ground-based train position detection method, configuration scheme of train position detection equipment is suggested by using track circuit and axle counter.

컴퓨터시뮬레이션에 의한 피난행태예측 및 안전성능평가방법에 관한 연구(II) (A Study on the Evaluation Method of the Building Safety Performance and the Prediction of Occupants′ Egress Behavior during Building Fires with Computer Simulation)

  • In this study, the independent variables are the floor plan configulation. The dependent variables are the occupant's egress behavior, especially spatial movement pattern, and life - safety performance of building. Fire events were simulated on single story of office building. Simulation run for allowable secaping thime(180 seconds) arbitrarily selected, and involved 48 occupants. The major findings Pre as follows. 1) Computer simulation model suggested in this study can be used as the Preoccupancy evaluation method of the life-safety performance for architectural design based on prediction of occupants' egress behavior in the levels of validity and sensitivity, 2) Sucess or failure in occupants' escape is determined by decreasing walking speed caused by jamming at exits or over crowded corridor, and increasing route length caused by running about in confusion at each subdivision and corridor. 3) In floor plan configuration which safe areas located at the extreme ends of the corridor, cellular floor planning have to be avoided preventing jamming and running about in confusion at overcrowded corridor.

  • 다양한 분야에서 빠르게 대용량의 자료가 생성됨에 따라 이를 처리하기 위해 분산 프로그래밍 모델인 MapReduce의 활용이 도입되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SUN Blade150에 Solaris와 Linux 환경의 클러스터 시스템을 구축한 뒤 해당 환경에서의 MapReduce 미들웨어인 Hadoop 에서 응용수행에 대한 평균 시간 및 표준 편차를 평가하여 Hadoop 기반 MapReduce 구현이 어떠한 클러스터 시스템에 의해 성능이 영향을 미치는지를 보인다.
