  • A regular aperture occurs between persons controlled and a person governing the society according to national formation and development. A ruler is subdivided into a king, the President, or the highest controller who can feel the uncertainty of ruler's position. To protect those people, it is called guard that used all possible means and ways to protect those people or remove the danger. An opening of guard was related to enhancement of royal authority or centralism. Firstly a military organization had acted for this, but the organization gradually became independent according to it's subdivision and systematization. During the period of the Three States and Unified Silla, the guard was needed new management system by enhancement of royal authority, expansion of the territory, and establishment of centralism. The new management system that organized the group of vassal and Siweebu take charge of guarding the king or serving as private soldiers. In the end of Silla, as a wide range of reformation of government organization, the organization of vassal like Jungsasung and Sunkyosung that developed as not only guard the king and prince but also hold the business writing.

  • In this paper, we analysed what effect the design variables, such as refractive index, central thickness and radius of curvature, had on the first order properties and image quality of optical systems when temperature changed. The optical parameters were varied at each temperature, then the coupling and ruler methods were used to design an athermalized lens for a phone camera. This concept was first used to design the lens for a 1/3.2" 5M phone camera. The designed lens satisfies all the specifications for a phone camera, and the variations of the back focal length(${\Delta}BFL$) are reduced to $10{\mu}m$ for a temperature range of $-10^{\circ}C$ to $+60^{\circ}C$. Also, the TTL of 5.5 mm results in a compact system. All design concepts and results discussed in this paper are expected to be useful in development for the phone and CCTV camera.

  • Background Flap volume is an important factor for obtaining satisfactory symmetry in breast reconstruction with a transverse rectus abdominis myocutaneous (TRAM) free flap. We aimed to develop an easy and simple method to estimate flap volume. Methods We performed a preoperative estimation of the TRAM flap volume in five patients with breast cancer who underwent 2-stage breast reconstruction following an immediate tissue expander operation after a simple mastectomy. We measured the height and width of each flap zone using a ruler and measured the tissue thickness by ultrasound. The volume of each zone, approximated as a triangular or square prism, was then calculated. The zone volumes were summed to obtain the total calculated volume of the TRAM flap. We then determined the width of zone II, so that the calculated flap volume was equal to the required flap volume ($1.2{\times}1.05{\times}$the weight of the resected mastectomy tissue). The TRAM flap was transferred vertically so that zone III was located on the upper side, and zone II was trimmed in the sitting position after vascular anastomosis. We compared the estimated flap width of zone II (=X) with the actual flap width of zone II. Results X was similar to the actual measured width. Accurate volume replacement with the TRAM flap resulted in good symmetry in all cases. Conclusions The volume of a free TRAM flap can be straightforwardly estimated preoperatively using the method presented here, with ultrasound, ruler, and simple calculations, and this technique may help reduced the time required for precise flap tailoring.

  • Purpose: Basic design of virtual colored overlay, film overlay, colored lenses and colored glasses for people with Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome. Methods: I calculated sRGB and RGB values of the overlays from measured data. I evaluated the relationship between the combinational chromaticities composed of Galaxy Tab white background and film overlays and the chromaticities of pure film overlays. Results: Implementable sRGB and RGB values of the overlays is calculated. The chromaticities of film overlays are different from them with white paper background and them with Galaxy Tab's white background, but showed a certain relationship between them. Light transmittances of Intuitive Overlay are the most (59%-79%) among them and average light reflectance of Reading Ruler is least(8%). Conclusions: The sRGB values and the RGB values are directly applicable to implement assistive tools and the light transmittances are used to calculate ${\alpha}$, transparency of virtual overlay in IT devices. It is recommended to consider the chromaticity of white color in implementing virtual colored overlay in the case which the chromaticity is considerably different to theoretical chromaticity of white color.

  • Thousands of pathological images are produced daily per hospital and they are stored and managed by a pathology information system (PIS). Since image edge detection is one of fundamental analysis tools for pathological images, many researches are targeted to improve accuracy and performance of image edge detection algorithm of HIS. In this paper, we propose a novel image edge detection method. It is based on Canny algorithm with adaptive threshold configuration. It also uses a dividing ruler to configure the two threshold instead of whole image to improve the detection ratio of ruler itself. To verify the effectiveness of our proposed method, we conducted empirical experiments with real pathological images(randomly selected image group, image group that was unable to detect by conventional methods, and added noise image group). The results shows that our proposed method outperforms and better detects compare to the conventional method.

  • Plato's political thought is developed in , and . He hopes 'justifiable state' that all citizens can get happiness. He suggests the plan of the ideal state. And the most important element in this ideal state is philosopher-king. His metaphysics, psychology and education theory are melted in philosopher-king. But in actual, the appearance of chis ideal ruler is impossible. Therefore he finds the second best state in . Then does Plato gives up his dream of the ideal state or approaches to that closely? And ruler stands against laws or relates with partnership? This article deals with these problems. As last, we will compare Plato's ideal state and philosopher-king to God's kingdom and Jesus in the Bible.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of exercising on a stable and unstable surface for a period of six weeks on the arms of female university students in their twenties. Methods: The subjects consisted of 20 female university students. The experimental group consisted of ten individuals who exercised on an unstable surface, and the control group consisted of ten individuals who exercised on a stable surface. The exercise program was composed of aerobic exercises (i.e. Back and forth movements for clapping and raising cross with both arms) and muscle-strengthening exercises (i.e. Push-ups and raising arms). We measured the subjects before the experiment and after the exercise program using the following measurements tool: a ruler and T-scan plus. The same person measured changes in arm size with a ruler three times and calculated the average to minimize any errors in measurement. We controlled the subjects to measure the amount of arm muscle with a T-scan plus. Twelve hours before the measurements were taken subjects were not permitted to exercise, and four hours before the measurements were taken subjects were not permitted to eat anything. Results: The two groups had no significant difference, but each group felt the effect of the exercise program. Conclusion: There was no difference between the experimental group and the control group. However, it was determined that the exercise had a greater effect on an unstable surface than a stable surface.

  • Thoracic kyphosis is occasionally used to describe someone with accentuated thoracic curvature, hyperkyphosis is preferred since kyphosis itself refers to the normal sagittal angle of thoracic curvature. The angle of thoracic kyphosis tends to increase with age resulting in hyperkyphosis in some individuals. The persons who suffer from hyperkyphosis are at increased risk for a variety of adverse health outcomes that include musculoskeletal alteration, physical functional limitations, poor quality of life, falls, and even earlier mortality. Hyperkyphosis may develop from vertebral fractures, degenerative disc disease, either muscle weakness, decreased mobility and sensory deficits. The gold-standard orthopaedic technique for assessment of thoracic kyphosis is standing lateral spine radiographs. Other clinical measures are Debrunner kyphometer, inclinometer, flexicurve ruler, arcometer, flexible electrogoniometer and spinal mouse.

  • PURPOSE. This study evaluated the existence of golden proportion between the widths of the maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth in Indian population. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The clinical tooth width measurements were recorded with the digital vernier calipers on 576 patients of both sexes in the age group of 21 - 30 years. Flexible ruler was used to determine the width of maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth on the patients by the same operator. The data obtained was statistically analyzed using paired student t-test (${\alpha}$=.05). RESULTS. The golden proportion was not found between the width of the right central and lateral incisors in 53% of women and 47% of men. The results revealed the golden percentage was rather inconstant in terms of relative tooth width. CONCLUSION. The golden proportion is an inappropriate method to relate the successive widths of the maxillary anterior teeth in Indian population.
