  • The CAD/CAM System for deep drawing transfer die tin mechanical press process has been developed. The developed CAD system can generate the drawing of transfer die in mechanical press. Using thee results from CAD system, it can generate the NC data to machine die's elements on the CAD system. This system can reduce design man-hour an human errors. In order to construct the system, it is used to automated the design process and generate the NC data using concepts of the designing rule and the machining rule. The developed system is based on the knowledge base system which is involved a lot of expert's technology in the practice field. Using AutoLISP language under the AutoCAD system, CTK customer language of SmartCAM is used as the overall CAD/CAM environment. Results of this system will be provide effective aids to the designer and manufacturer in this field.

  • This paper proposes the simulator synthesis scheme which is based on the exploration of the total design space in attributed AND-OR graph. Attributed AND-OR graph is a systematic design space representation formalism which enables to represent all the design space by decomposition rule and specialization rule. In addition, attributes attached to the design entity provides flexible modeling. Based on this design space representation scheme, a pruning algorithm which can transform the total design space into sub-design space that satisfies the user requirements is given. We have shown the effectiveness of our framework by (ⅰ) constructing the design space of superscalar processor in attributed AND-OR graph (ⅱ) pruning it to obtain the ARM9 processor architecture. (ⅲ) modeling the components of the architecture and (ⅳ) simulating the ARM9 model.

  • Recently. many projects have been actively implementing IPsec on the various Operating Systems for security of IPv6 network. But there is no existing tool that checks the IPsec-based systems, which provide IPsec services, work Properly and provide their network security services well In the IPv6 network. In this paper, we design SERDL(Security Evaluation Rule Description Language) and rule execution tool for evaluating security of the IPv6 network, and we provide implementation details. The system Is divided into following parts : User Interface part, Rule Execution Module part, DBMS part and agent that gathering information needed for security test.

  • 반도체 physical layout design rule이 작아짐에 따라 Proximity effect와 overlay가 Pattern 구현에 크게 영향을 미치고 있다. Metal layer와 contact의 부족한 overlay margin으로 overlay 불량이 발생하고, 감소한 space margin으로 인해 bridge와 같은 문제가 나타난다. 따라서, resolution을 향상시키고, 최소한의 overlay margin을 확보함으로써 미세 pattern의 구현을 가능하게 한다. 이를 위해 OPC와 attPSM 같은 분해능향상기술이 사용된다. 그러나 attPSM의 사용은 원하지 않는 pattern이 생성되는 sidelobe와 같은 문제가 발생한다. 따라서 serial image simulation올 통해 추출한 rule을 rule-based correction에 적용하여 sidelobe현상을 방지한다. 그리고 overlay margin 부족으로 나타나는 문제는 metal layer와 contact overlap되는 영역의 line edge를 확장하고, rule checking을 통해 최소한의 space margin을 확보하여 해결한다 따라서 overlay error를 rule-based correction을 사용하여 효과적으로 방지한다.

  • In the adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control, from a set of fuzzy IF-THEN rules adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control whose parameters are adjusted on-line according to some adaptation laws is constructed for the purpose of controlling the plant to track a desired trajectory. Most of the research works in nonlinear controller design using fuzzy systems consider the affine system with fixed grid-rule structure based on system state availability.   • Template has been widely used for hull forming process in most of shipyards. It is used to estimate the curvature of deformed shape in comparison with design shape. SHI (Samsung Heavy Industry) had used AutoKon system for ship manufacturing design in the past. The AutoKon used the global coordinate system of ship (frame, water line and so on) to create template data. It brought the mismatched angles between templates and a curved shell plate. The mismatched angle is measured by forming worker to place template on shell forming stage. However, the mismatched angle is difficult to place template with exactly required angle because the shell plates have various curvature and size. It causes incorrect shape of formed shell plates. The attached angle of template should be 90 degree to place template easily on forming shell plates. Currently, SHI has been applied GSCAD for ship manufacturing design process which is 3D solid modeling system. The GSCAD is the rule-based system which can automate 3D modeling and control the manufacturing data by rule. The rule can easily provide methods to create and automate template object with regular attached angle in comparison with AutoKon system. Therefore, SHI developed new template rule which it can automatically create template object with regular attached angle in GSCAD.

Gameplay Experience as A Problem Solving - Towards The New Rule Spaces - (문제해결로서의 게임플레이 경험 - 새로운 법칙공간을 중심으로 -)

  • The objective of this study is to develop an analytic framework to code systematically the gamer's behaviour in MMO(Massively Multi-player Online) gameplay experience, to explore their gameplay as a problem solving procedure empirically. Previous studies about model human processor, content based protocol, and procedure based protocol are reviewed in order to build the outline of the analytic framework related to MMO gameplay. The specific gameplay actions and contents were derived by using concurrent protocol analysis method through the empirical experiment executed in MMORPG gameplay. Consequently, gameplay are divided into six actions : kinematics, perception, function, representation, simulation, and rule (heuristics, following, and transcedence). The analytic framework suitable for MMO gameplay was built. As a result of this study, we found three rule spaces in the problem solving domain of gameplay that are an heuristics, a following of the rule, and a transcendence of the rule. 'Heuristics' denotes the rule action that discovers the rule of game through trial-and-error. 'Following' indicates the rule action that follows the rule of game embedded in game by game designers. 'Transcendence' presents the rule action that transcends that. The new discovered rule spaces where 'Following' and 'Transcendence' actions occur and the gameplay pattern in them is provided with the key basis to determine the level design elements of MMO game, such as terrain feature, monster attribute, item, and skill et cetera. Therefore, this study is concludes with key implications to support game design to improve the quality of MMO game product.

DESIGN OF A FPGA BASED ABWR FEEDWATER CONTROLLER

  • A feedwater controller targeted for an ABWR has been implemented using a modern field programmable gate array (FPGA), and verified using the full scope simulator at Taipower's Lungmen nuclear power station. The adopted control algorithm is a rule-based fuzzy logic. Point to point validation of the FPGA circuit board has been executed using a digital pattern generator. The simulation model of the simulator was employed for verification and validation of the controller design under various plant initial conditions. The transient response and the steady state tracking ability were evaluated and showed satisfactory results. The present work has demonstrated that the FPGA based approach incorporated with a rule-based fuzzy logic control algorithm is a flexible yet feasible approach for feedwater controller design in nuclear power plant applications.

  • A design and DSP-based implementation of robust nonlinear speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) under the unknown parameter variations and speed measurement error is presented. The model reference adaptive system(MRAS) based adaptation mechanisms for the estimation of slowly varying parameters are derived using the MIT rule. For the disturbances or quickly varying parameters, a quasilinearized and decoupled model which includes the influence of parameter variations and speed measurement error on the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is derived. Based on this model, a boundary layer integral sliding mode controller to improve the robustness and performance of the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is designed and compared with the conventional controller which employs Proportional plus Derivative(PD) control. To show the validity of the proposed scheme, simulations and DSP-based experimental works are carried out and compared with the conventional control scheme.

  • This paper describes a new design rule checking system, PC-DRC, for CIF mask layout, which was written in C language on IBM PC/AT under DOS 3.0 environment. H/W devices and S/W utilities for PC-DRC is identical to that for PC-LADY[6], which makes PC-DRC an ideal post-processing routine for CIF file generated by PC-LADY. Various spurious errors were eliminated by ORing the input ClF data for each layer and the design rule errors were checked by edge based method on rectilinear polygon form. The detected errors are stored in CIF and displayed on CRT simultaneously.
