This paper discusses the design, implementation, and potential use of an ontology-based mobile pediatric consultation and monitoring system, which is a smart healthcare expert system for pediatric patients. The proposed system provides remote consultation and monitoring of pediatric patients during their illness at places distant from medical service areas. The system not only shares instant medical data with a pediatrician but also examines the data as a smart medical assistant to detect any emergency situation. In addition, it uses an inference engine to infer instant suggestions for performing certain initial medical treatment steps when necessary. The applied methodologies and main technical contributions have three aspects: (a) pediatric consultation and monitoring ontology, (b) semantic Web rule knowledge base, and (c) inference engine. Two case studies with real pediatric patients are provided and discussed. The reported results of the applied case studies are promising, and they demonstrate the applicability, effectiveness, and efficiency of the proposed approach.

This study figures out the concepts of container transport, logistical cost and the distribution of a company through studying documents, and to suggest logistical cost reduction approach, focused on the efficiency of transport which occupied the considerable portion of the total logistical cost of the company. We analyze and discuss the container loading of multiple items for multiple places of departure and arrival through a case study on S company in South Korea. We suggest a direction to reduce the logistical cost of the companies, analyzing the conditions of multiple items loading, and rule-based systems including an algorithm which determines container-loading for minimum freight expenses. We use data mining and OLAP tools of MS Analysis Services to produce loading rules for multiple items loading and generate OLAP cube and decision trees to validate the rules.
This study aimed to develop a Rule Based Mamdani Type Fuzzy Logic (RBMFL) model to predict the flexural strengths and compressive strengths of blended cements under elevated temperatures. Clinoptilolite was used as cement substitution material in the experimental stage. Substitution ratios in the cement mortar mix designs were selected as 0% (reference), 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. The data used in the modeling process were obtained experimentally, after mortar specimens having reached the age of 90 days and exposed to $300^{\circ}C$, $400^{\circ}C$, $500^{\circ}C$ temperatures for 3 hours. In the RBMFL model, temperature ($C^{\circ}$) and substitution ratio of clinoptilolite (%) were inputs while the compressive strengths and flexural strengths of mortars were outputs. Results were compared by using some statistical methods. Statistical comparison results showed that rule based Mamdani type fuzzy logic can be an alternative approach for the evaluation of the mechanical properties of concrete under elevated temperature.
The major objective of this paper is to propose the method of attacker and host modeling for cyber-attack simulation. In the security modeling and simulation for information assurance, it is essential the modeling of attacker that is able to generate various cyber-attack scenarios as well as the modeling of host, which is able to represent behavior on attack concretely The security modeling and simulation, which was announced by Cohen, Nong Ye and etc., is too simple to concretely analyze attack behavior on the host. And, the attacker modeling, which was announced by CERT, Laura and etc., is impossible to represent complex attack excepting fixed forms. To deal with this problem, we have accomplished attacker modeling by adopted the rule-based SES which integrates the existing SES with rule-based expert system for synthesis and performed host modeling by using the DEVS formalism. Our approach is to show the difference from others in that (ⅰ) it is able to represent complex and repetitive attack, (ⅱ) it automatically generates the cyber-attack scenario suitable on the target system, (ⅲ) it is able to analyze host's behavior of cyber attack concretely. Simulation tests performed on the sample network verify the soundness of proposed method.

One of the weaknesses of ad hoc network is that a route used between a source and a destination is to break during communication. To solve this problem, one approach consists of selecting routes whose nodes have the most stable link cost. In this paper proposes a new method for improving the low power distributed MAC. The method is rule-based on the context awareness of the each nodes energy in clustering. The proposed networks scheme could get better improve the awareness for data to achieve and performance on their clustering establishment and messages transmission.
In this paper, a finite viscoelastic continuum model for rubber and its finite element analysis are presented. This finite viscoelatic model based on continuum mechanics is an extended model of Johnson and Wuigley's 1-D model. In this extended model, continuum based kinematic measures are rigorously defied and by using this kinematic measures, elastic stage law and flow rule are introduced. In kinematics, three configuration are introduced. In kinematics, three configuration are introduced. They are reference, current and virtual visco configurations. In elastic state law, it is assumed that at a certain time, there exists an elastic potential which describes the recoverable elastic energy. From this elastic potential, elastic state law is derived. The proposed flow rule is based on phenomenological observation. The flow rule gives precise relaxation response. In finite element approximation, mixed Lagrangian description is used, where total and similar method of updated Lagrangian descriptions are used together. This approach reduces the numerical job and gives simple nonlinear syatem of equations. To satisfy the incompressible condition, penalty-type modified Mooney-Rivlin energy function is adopted. By this method nearly incompressible condition is obtain the virtual visco configuration. For verification, uniaxial stretch tests are simulated for various stretch rates. The simulated results show good agreement with experiments. As a practical experiments. As a preactical example, pressurized rubber plate is simulated. The result shows finite viscoelastic effects clearly.

For a carferry with a displacement of 1,633 tonf, a seakeeping analysis-based direct load approach (DLA) was used in Part I of these series, where the final deliverable was the long-term probabilistic acceleration components. In Part II of these series, the tangential acceleration components are explained based on two approaches: a standard called the IMO CSS code and simple formulas with the probable maximum roll and pitch rotations. The subsequent tangential acceleration-induced external force components are also introduced for these two approaches. The lashing strength components were selected from the IMO CSS code. It was assumed that two different vehicles (a car and a truck) were stowed at the most distant locations on the main deck to assume the largest tangential acceleration components and were secured with four steel wires with longitudinal and transverse lashing angles of $45^{\circ}$. Four cases were considered, with different methods for predicting the acceleration components and different tools for the external loads and lashing strengths involved: cases Rule-LS (rule-based maximum probable roll and pitch angles for predicting the acceleration components in conjunction with LashingSafety), DLA-LS (seakeeping-based long-term acceleration components with LashingSafety), CSS-LC (IMO CSS code-based acceleration components using LashCon), and CSS-LS (IMO CSS code-based acceleration components using LashingSafety). In terms of the acceleration and external force components, the CSS-LC and CSS-LS results are more than two times the results of Rule-LS. Thus, when the external forces and lashing strengths are evaluated using CSS-LC and CSS-LS, the truck needs more lashing wires, while Rule-LS and DLA-LS predict that the present lashing configuration is on the safe side.
Music emotion is an important component in the field of music information retrieval and computational musicology. This paper proposes an approach for automatic emotion classification, based on rough set (RS) theory. In the proposed approach, four different sets of music features are extracted, representing dynamics, rhythm, spectral, and harmony. From the features, five different statistical parameters are considered as attributes, including up to the $4^{th}$ order central moments of each feature, and covariance components of mutual ones. The large number of attributes is controlled by RS-based approach, in which superfluous features are removed, to obtain indispensable ones. In addition, RS-based approach makes it possible to visualize which attributes play a significant role in the generated rules, and also determine the strength of each rule for classification. The experiments have been performed to find out which audio features and which of the different statistical parameters derived from them are important for emotion classification. Also, the resulting indispensable attributes and the usefulness of covariance components have been discussed. The overall classification accuracy with all statistical parameters has recorded comparatively better than currently existing methods on a pair of datasets.
Case- based reasoning(CBR) offers a new approach for developing knowledge based systems. Unlike the rule-based paradigm, in which domain knowledge is encoded in the form of production rules, in the case-based approach the problem solving experience of the domain expert is encoded in the form of cases stored in a casebase(CB). CBR allows a reasoner (1) to propose solutions in domains that are not completely understood by the reasoner, (2) to evaluate solutions when no algorithmic method is available for evaluation, and (3) to interprete open-ended and ill-defined concepts. CBR also helps reasoner (4) take actions to avoid repeating past mistakes, and (5) focus its reasoning on important parts of a problem. Owing to the above advantages, CBR has successfully been applied to many kinds of problems such as design, planning, diagnosis and instruction. In this paper, I propose case-based DSS(CBDSS). CBDSS is an intelligent DSS using CBR technique. CBDSS consists of interface, case-based reasoner, maintainer, casebase management system, domain dependent CB, domain independent CB, and so on.
In electronic catalogs, each item is represented as an independent unit while the parts of the item can be composed of a higher level of functionality. Thus, the search for this kind of product database is limited to the retrieval of most similar standard commodities. However, many industrial products need to configure optional parts to fulfill the required specifications. Since there are many paths in finding the required specifications, we need to develop a search system via the configuration process. In this system, we adopt a two-phased approach. The first phase finds the most similar template, and the second phase adjusts the template specifications toward the required set of specifications by the Constraint and Rule Satisfaction Problem approach. There is no guarantee that the most similar template can find the most desirable configuration. The search system needs backtracking capability, so the search can stop at a satisfied local optimal satisfaction. This framework is applied to the configuration of computers and peripherals. Template-based reasoning is basically the same as case-based reasoning. The required set of specifications is represented by a list of criteria, and matched with the product specifications to find the closest ones. To measure the distance, we develop a thesaurus of values, which can identify the meaning of numbers, symbols, and words. With this configuration, the performance of the search by configuration algorithm is evaluated in terms of feasibility and admissibility.
