로프 타입에 따른 슬링을 이용한 스쿼트 운동 시 근육의 활성화 비교 분석 (The Study on Analysis of Muscle Activity during Sling Squat Exercise according to Rope Type)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine of this study is to study the effect of squat exercise on muscle activation in a sling device using various types of ropes and to propose an effective sling exercise method for strengthening the lower extremity strength. Method: 20 adult male subjects (age: 25.2±2.4 yrs, height: 176.5±3.2 cm, weight: 77.2±4.5 kg) participated in this study. In the experiment, a total of four squats were conducted: squat [SE], sling squat using inelastic rope [IR], sling squat using elastic rope [ER], and sling squat using two elastic ropes [TER]. Squats were performed 5 times for each condition, and a 60-second break was given for each condition to minimize muscle fatigue. The activation of biceps brachii, rectus femoris, gastrocnemius, and tibialis anterior muscles was measured. Results: It was found that the activation of all muscles was the lowest during the squat exercise [SE]. During the sling squat using inelastic rope [IR], the muscle activation of the biceps brachii was the highest. During the sling squat using elastic rope [ER], the activation of the rectus femoris, gastrocnemius, and tibialis anterior muscles was found to be the highest. In the sling squat using two elastic ropes [TER], most of the muscle activation was similar to that of the sling squat using inelastic rope [IR]. Conclusion: Our results of the experiment, it was found that sling squat exercise using elastic rope had a positive effect on the activation of all muscles. It is thought that performing a squat exercise under moderate weight load and unstable conditions, such as sling squat exercise using elastic rope, can increase the muscle activity of the lower limbs and perform more effective exercise effect than performing a conventional squat exercise under stable conditions. In the future, if research is conducted not only on adult men, but also on various ages and patients, it will be able to provide positive help in improving balance, stability and stamina through squat exercise.

100 kJ 낙석에너지 흡수가 가능한 유연성 와이어로프 낙석방지울타리 성능검증 (Performance Assessment of Flexible Wire Rope Rockfall Protection Fence for 100 kJ Energy Absorption)

  • 본 연구에서는 ETAG 027에서 제시하는 수직낙하실험법을 이용하여 100 kJ 낙석에너지를 포획할 수 있는 유연성 와이어로 낙석방지울타리에 대한 성능검증을 실시하였다. 유연성 와이어로프는 스프링과 와이어로프로 구성된 탄성력 증진 로프로서 와이어로프보다 탄성늘음이 향상되어 낙석과 와이어로프와의 접촉시간을 인위적으로 증가시켜 낙석 충격력 경감효과를 유발하고 낙석에너지 흡수효과 또한 향상시켰다. 9.8 kN의 콘크리트 공시체를 낙석방지울타리 상단 10.5 m 높이에서 자유낙하시켜 102.9 kJ의 낙석에너지를 낙석방지울타리에 가한 후 지주거동을 분석한 결과, 지주는 소성비틀림이 발생하였으며 탄성회복 후 최종변형량은 1.15 m로 ETAG 027에서 제시하는 기준인 2.0 m 이하의 결과가 제시되어 유연성 와이어로프 낙석방지울타리는 102.9 kJ의 낙석에너지를 성공적으로 흡수 가능한 것으로 확인되었다.

  • Fall accidents account for the highest accident fatality rate in the construction industry. In addition, wearing and using a safety belt is the most realistic and important preventive measure to reduce fall accidents. Safety belts are protective devices worn by individual workers; they prevent workers from falling and allow for time to rescue the workers. However, the legal standards for safety belts only stipulate the materials, specifications, and strength of parts; there is no provision for an auxiliary rope fixing method to fix the safety belts safely. Due to this reason, workers in industrial sites arbitrarily fix and use the auxiliary rope. Currently, the most used method to fix the auxiliary rope is to tie a knot, which significantly lowers the strength of the material compared to the standard strength. Moreover, many construction sites are located outdoors, so the strength of the materials used in the auxiliary rope is inevitably reduced due to various external environmental conditions. Therefore, to solve this problem, this study was conducted to evaluate the strength of the material of the auxiliary rope for fixing the safety belt and the knot-tying method for the auxiliary rope. In this study, the exposure conditions for the effects of temperature and moisture were set to reflect the characteristics of the construction industry. The results of this study are expected to be used for standards establishment and the safe use of the auxiliary rope for safety belts in actual field applications.

크레인 와이어 로프의 실신간 원격 결함탐지 시스템 개발 (Development of Real-time Remote Detection System for Crane Wire Rope Defect)

  • The wire rope of container crane is a important component to container transfer system and is used in a myriad of various applications such as elevator, mine hoist, construction machinery, and so on. If it happen wire rope failures in operating, it may lead to the safety accident and economic loss, which is productivity decline, competitive decline of container terminal, etc. To solve this problem, we developed the active and portable wire rope fault detecting system. The developed system consists of three parts that are the fault detecting, signal processing, and remote monitoring part. All detected signal has external noise or disturbance according to circumstances. Therefore we applied to discrete wavelet transform to extract a signal from noisy data that was used filter. As experimental result, we can reduce the expense for container terminal because of extension of exchange period of wire rope for container crane and this system is possible to apply in several fields to use wire rope.

  • In case of large soft body impact test at the construction site, the test conditions are different from conditions at the laboratory, and the length of rope to hold the impact specimen must be changed. In a previous study, the fact that the size of impact load is varied by the length of rope on the large soft body impact specimen was confirmed. In this study, the length of rope and fall height were set as independent variables to conduct the load analysis test. It was determined that the load fluctuation was occurred depending on the length of rope under the fall height over 100 mm, and it is concluded that the additional setup of fall height to modify the actual impact load size is required when the length of rope is below 2.5 m. In this study, the modified formula to put equal size of impact load regardless of the length of rope was extracted through the experiment.

  • Hydraulic systems of rope brake for elevators are modelled to evaluate design parameters such as cylinder pressure, pis-ton displacement, accumulator capacity, and so on. To assure the results, experiments were performed. The analysis results agree well with the experimental results. The scheme in this study is expected to be utilized in the design of rope brake system for elevators to get design parameters and to improve the safety.

계류삭 파단 방지를 위한 선박의 한계치 접안 속력 추정에 관한 연구 (On the Estimation of Ship's Approach Speed Limit to the Pier to Prevent Breaking of Mooring Rope)

  • 선박이 계류삭을 이용하여 부두에 접안하는 경우, 과도한 선박 속력은 계류삭이 절단되는 사고를 야기할 수 있다. 이러한 계류삭의 파단 사고를 방지하기 위해서는 계류삭 파단 방지에 선박의 한계치 접안 속력을 알아야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 계류삭 파단을 방지하기 위한 선박의 한계치 접안 속력 추정에 있다. 본 연구의 핵심은 선박의 속력을 모르는 경우 선박제원과 계류삭 제원을 이용하여 접안 시 한계치 접근 속력을 추정하는 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 선체저항과 계류삭의 탄성력 등에 관한 이론을 바탕으로 한계치 접안 속력의 추정 방법과 절차를 제안하였다. 135K LNG 선박과 IWRC, $6{\times}36$의 강선 계류삭을 대상으로 한계치 접안 속력을 추정한 결과, 추정한 접안 속력으로 접안하는 경우 계류삭이 파단이 되지 않는 것으로 분석되어 제안한 방법이 유효함을 알았다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 실제 선박에서 계류삭 파단을 방지하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Yard cranes are very useful equipments for handling of heavy containers. But rope-driven yard cranes must have a little of sway and skew motion because ropes are passive mechanical device. So many researches have been concentrated on anti-sway algorithm controlling trolley speed. But control algorithm of trolley speed is not practical in windy weather. In this paper, we are going to propose a new structure for anti-sway. This structure uses aux. ropes. The control strategy with auxiliary rope is very useful to sway control of yard crane because rope length is shorter than quay-side container cranes. In this paper, we derive equations of motion of trolley system which have anti-sway controller to use auxiliary rope. And main schemes are introduced and explained briefly.

  • 본 논문은 엘리베이터의 승객보호를 위한 안전장치에 관한 것으로 3차원 유한요소해석 코드인 ANSYS를 활용한 구조해석 결과를 설계의 기초 데이터로 사용하였으며, 기존의 제품과 다른 방식을 도입하여 승객과 설비를 보호할 수 있는 설계방법을 제시하고 제작을 통해 안전성을 향상 시켰다.
