  • Foreign scholars pointed out that the root of the Korean economic crash was A Study on Corporate Social Responsibility and Moral Management due to the government's excessive regulations, the harmful effects of government finance, and the high-cost political structure. Despite the need to ease the rigidity of governmental finance and various regulations and operate the financial system through autonomous market mechanisms, it was argued that various bribes, express fees, and collusive lobbying funds were inevitably generated due to discretionary acts of bureaucrats with licenses and permits, complicated administrative procedures and systems, and regulatory changes in government policies. In fact, in developing countries, corruption was a necessary evil for economic development and was seen as a lubricant in economic management. The purpose of this study is to study the social responsibility and corporate ethics of chaebol. First: consider the problems of large corporations. Second, We will consider the direction and policy of corporate ethics. This paper sheds light on the ethical management of the Korean chaebol, considering that corporate ethics and transparency for the social responsibility of chaebols are important

  • This study proposes a deep learning-based LSTM model to predict the state of charge (SOC) of lithium-ion batteries. The model was trained using data collected under various temperature and load conditions, including measurement data from the CS2 lithium-ion battery provided by the University of Maryland College of Engineering. The LSTM model effectively models temporal patterns in the data by learning long-term dependencies. Performance evaluation by epoch showed that the predicted SOC improved from 14.8400 at epoch 10 to 12.4968 at epoch 60, approaching the actual SOC value of 13.5441. The mean absolute error (MAE) and root mean squared error (RMSE) also decreased from 0.9185 and 1.3009 at epoch 10 to 0.2333 and 0.5682 at epoch 60, respectively, indicating continuous improvement in predictive performance. This study demonstrates the validity of the LSTM model for predicting the SOC of lithium-ion batteries and its potential to enhance battery management systems.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a measuring tool for the health promotion behavior of Korean nurses. This would address the lack of a proven tool that reflects the nature of the nurses' nursing environment. This study was conducted on 530 nurses from January to December 2019. A literature review and focus group interview were conducted, data analysis was carried out to measure validity and reliability, and the conceptual framework was constructed by applying the IMB model. Five factors namely self-concept (2 questions), hospital life management (4 questions), knowledge and information regarding health (5 questions), physical and mental stress management (3 questions), and work adaptation (2 questions) were framed into 16 questions. The model fit was 346.23 (<.001), Parsimonious Normed Fit Index (PNFI) was 0.60, and Parsimonious Comparative Fit Index (PCFI) was 0.63, which met the acceptance criteria, and the Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) was 0.10. Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) was 0.88, Comparative Fit Index (CFI) was 0.85, and Incremental Fit Index (IFI) was 0.85 which were found to be acceptable as per the applicable standards. All items had a Cronbach's score of .85, which ensured stable reliability. The nurse's health promotion behavior measurement tool developed in this study will be used to measure the nurse's health promotion behavior in terms of nursing practice which will help in understanding the broad contours of this behavior.

  • This experiment was done to determine the optimum concentration of IAA for root development in plants regenerated from the callus culture of barley embryos. Two concentrations of 2,4-D, 3ppm and 5ppm selected as an optimum among five different concentrations in the previous experiment were used for callus induction and proliferation in this experiment. For callus induction, 3ppm of 2,4-D produced 35.6% in immature embryos and 4.4% in mature embryos, while 5ppm gave 33.8% in immature and 5.6% in mature embryos. Out of 320 immature embryos cultured, 111 embryos were induced to calli and 684 plants were produced from them, while only 16 embryos were induced to calli from 320 mature embryos and 92 plants were restored. The rates of callusing and plant regeneration were 34.7%, 214% in immature embryos and 5.0%, 28.7% in mature embryos, respectively. The average root lengths and root numbers of plants restored from callus at five different IAA concentrations of 0ppm, Ippm, 5ppm, l0ppm and 30ppm were 7.9mm, 3.6; 18.4mm, 5.2; 16.1mm, 3.9; 8.5mm, 3.5 and 6.4mm, 3.4, while plants directly obtained from mature embryos were 14.8mm, 4.9; 4.9mm, 3.6; 4.3mm, 3.1; 3.6mm, 2.6 and 3.2mm, 2.1, respectively. Therefore, 1ppm gave the best result for the root. promotion in callus, whle 0ppm, a control, gave the largest root developmemt in embryos. High concentration of lAA(30ppm) in callus and any exogeneous supplement of lAA in embryos negatively affected to the root lengths and root numbers. Genotypic effect was also observed in given four varieties, Bruce, Klages, Olbori and Albori. For chromosome doubling, when 0.1% colchicine was applied on 428 plants under three different conditions such as air circulation, temperatures and growth stages, 319 plants of doubled haploids were obtained so that the rate was 74.5%

  • The potential ability of Button mushroom compost (BMC) to solubilize heavy metals was estimated with metal contaminated soils collected from abandoned mines of Boryeong area in South Korea. The bacterial strains in BMC were isolated for investigating the mobilization of metals in soil or plant by the strains and identified according to 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. When metal solubilization potential of BMC was assessed in a batch experiment, the BMC was found to be capable of solubilizing metals in the presence of metals (Co, Pb and Zn) and the results showed that inoculation of BMC could increase the concentrations of water soluble Co, Pb and Cd by 35, 25 and 45% respectively, than those of non-inoculated soils. BMC-assisted growth promotion and metal uptake in sunflower (Helianthus annuus) was also evaluated in a pot experiment. In comparison with non-inoculated seedlings, the inoculation led to increase the growth of H. annuus by 27, 25 and 28% respectively in Co, Pb and Zn contaminated soils. Moreover, enhanced accumulation of Co, Pb and Zn in the shoot and root systems was observed in inoculated plants, where metal translocation from root to the above-ground tissues was also found to be enhanced by the BMC. The apparent results suggested that the BMC could effectively be employed in enhancing phytoextraction of Co, Pb and Zn from contaminated soils.

  • An auxin-producing bacterium, Klebsiella michiganensis Jopap-1, was isolated from a button mushroom bed in Buyeo-Gun, Chungcheongnam-Do. The strain Jopap-1 was classified as a novel strain of K. michiganensis based on a chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic analysis. The isolated K. michiganensis Jopap-1 was confirmed to produce indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), which is one of auxin hormones by TLC and HPLC analyses. The maximum concentration of IAA ($96.05mg\;L^{-1}$) was detected in the culture broth incubated in R2A medium containing 0.1% L-tryptophan for 48 h at $35^{\circ}C$ by HPLC quantity analysis. A negative relationship between IAA production and pH variation was estimated to show that the increase of IAA caused acidic pH in the culture. The effect of the supplement on L-tryptophan (precursor of IAA) production was observed to be highest at 0.1% concentration, but was significantly lowered above a concentration of 0.2%. To investigate the growth-promoting effects on the crops, the culture broth of E. michiganensis Jopap-1 was infected to water cultures and seed pots of mung bean and lettuce. Consequently, the adventitious root induction and root growth of mung bean and lettuce were observed to be 2.1 and 1.8 times higher than those of the control.

  • In the course of screening for microbes with nematicidal activity, we found that Enterobacter asburiae HK169 displayed promising nematicidal activity against the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita, along with plant growth-promoting properties. Soil drenching of a culture of HK169 reduced gall formation by 66% while also increasing root and shoot weights by 251% and 160%, respectively, compared with an untreated control. The cell-free culture filtrate of the HK169 culture killed all juveniles of M. incognita within 48 h. In addition, the nematicidal activity of the culture filtrate was dramatically reduced by a protease inhibitor, suggesting that proteolytic enzymes contribute to the nematicidal activity of HK169. In order to obtain genomic information about the HK169 isolate related to its nematicidal and plant growth-promoting activities, we sequenced and analyzed the whole genome of the HK169 isolate, and the resulting information provided evidence that the HK169 isolate has nematicidal and plant growth-promoting activities. Taken together, these observations enable the future application of E. asburiae HK169 as a biocontrol agent for nematode control and promote our understanding of the beneficial interactions between E. asburiae HK169 and plants.

  • With both common and Tartary buckwheat species, this study was aimed at producing new commercially useful bio-materials with higher nutritional and medicinal value due to higher components for health promotion and diseases care. In common buckwheat sprouts, it was found that root length at $20^{\circ}C$ was longer (5.93 cm) than at 25 and $30^{\circ}C$, whereas the hypocotyls length, fresh weight of each sprout, and whole fresh weight showed the highest value at $30^{\circ}C$. For Tartary buckwheat, the root length, hypocotyl length and fresh weight of each sprout and whole fresh weight were also the highest at $30^{\circ}C$. Common buckwheat (Suwon No.1) and Tartary buckwheat (KW45) sprouts cultured at $20^{\circ}C$ showed that hypocotyl length, fresh weight of each sprout, and whole fresh weight in the control were higher than those sprouts treated with 5% and 10% deep sea water (DSW), while the sprouts cultured at $30^{\circ}C$ showed were significantly longer hypocotyls than the control or 5% DSW treatment.
