Purpose - Distribution channels cannot function without cooperation. While evidence suggests channel power plays a fundamental role in fostering successful manufacturer-dealer channel cooperation in Western countries distribution systems, little is known empirically as to how dealers' possession of non-mediated powers influence SME manufacturers' cooperation in Asian developing countries. Research design, data, methodology - Drawing upon the extant distribution channels literatures; this study conceptualizes a model and examines the effects of dealer's non-mediated powers on manufacturing SME firms, as well as the mediating influence of trust, relationship satisfaction and commitment. A survey of 400 manufacturing SMEs in Taiwan empirically supports the proposed hypothesis. Results - The model is acceptable in terms of overall goodness of fit. Acceptable model fit are indicated by χ2/(df): 2.35, GFI≧.90; RMSEA values≦ .08; IFI, TLI and CFI values≧.90. Our results indicate that, GFI (0.910), IFI (0.937), TLI (0.903), CFI (0.936), and RMSEA (0.079) and therefore, achieved the suggested thresholds. Conclusions - The results of this study have some managerial implications for managers in the dealer's firms. The overall implication from the findings is that managers can utilize expert, referent and traditional legitimate powers to attain channel cooperation with manufacturing SMEs in addition to garnering their trust, relationship satisfaction and commitment.
The purpose of this study was to describe the current status of dual-earner families in Seoul. The specific aims of this study were to examine the dynamics of marital relationship, parent-child relationship and old mother-daughter/daughter in law relationship in the same family. The sample consised of 265 dual-earner families was selected based on wives' jobs, primarily non-professional. The information was gathered from working couples and their school-aged children. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. Sex role attitude of husbands was more traditional than their wives. Therefore, housework sharing of husbands was very low and wives' perception of inequity was high. Wives' marital satisfaction was affected by the wives' perception of inequity, joint leisure activity, sexual satisfaction, and wives' job satisfaction. Husbands' marital satisfaction was affected by sexual satisfaction, perceived difficulties and problems of the husbands caused by wives' employment, and the degree of their housework participation. 2. The emotional uneasiness of children during mothers' absence was reported. The communication about mothers' job was helpful to gain children's understanding toward mothers' job. Mothers suffered from guilty feeling of neglecting their children in spite of their good performance of mothering role. 3. The employed daughters/daughters in law perceived high rewards and low cost in relationships with their mothers/mothers in law. The perceived quality of daughter-mother relationship was higher with low cost and high rewards than that of daughter in law/mother in law. Finally practical and policy implications were suggested.
The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship of attitudes of parents and their unmarried adult child concerning the family value orientation. In addition to this study examined the relationship to child's family value orientation and related variables. The major findings 1) Gender, mother's value of marriage, religion were influential factors on the child's value of marriage.2) Gender and mother's value of sex role were influential factors on the child's value of sex role. 3) Child's gender was only influential factor on child's value of child. 4) Gender, mother's value of filial piety, father's value of filial piety were significant factors which have some effects on child's attitudes toward value of final piety. 5) Gender, mother's value of familism, religion were significant factors which have some effects on child's attitudes toward value of familism. 6) Gender, mother's family value orientation, father's family value orientation were influential factors on child's family value oreintation. In conclusion, this study found that child's gender was the most influential factor on child's family value orientations. And mother's family value orientations had strong effects on children's family value orientations.

This study examined the mediating role of cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between calling and posttraumatic growth (PTG) and the moderating role of transformational leadership among Air Force pilots. A total of 215 ROK Air Force pilots participated in this study twice with an interval of 4 weeks. The results of this study were as follows. First, calling, transformational leadership, adaptive emotion regulation, and PTG showed statistically significant correlations. Second, a mediating model showed that the relationship between calling and PTG was mediated by adaptive emotion regulation. Third, the moderation effect of transformational leadership in the relationship calling on adaptive emotion regulation was found. Finally, transformational leadership also moderated the mediating effect of calling on PTG through adaptive emotion regulation was identified. Implications, limitations, and future research suggestions were discussed.
Purpose - The purpose of this study analyzes the effect of psychological safety on innovative behavior mediated by job crafting. Design/methodology/approach - This study collected 221 survey data from employees in Korea. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and Macro Process. The multiple regression analysis and bootstrap analysis were hired in order to analyze the data. Findings - First, psychological safety had a significant effect on innovation behavior. Second, job crafting proved a mediating effect in the relationship between psychological safety and innovation behavior. In other words, it has been demonstrated empirically that task crafting, cognitive crafting, and relational crafting, which are sub-elements of job crafting, play a mediating role in the relationship between psychological safety and innovative behavior. Research implications or Originality - This study expanded the study of Job Crafting in that it revealed the mediating role of Job Crafting in the relationship of psychological safety and innovative behavior. Second, this study has novelty in that it has established a sense of psychological safety as an independent variable that promotes innovative behavior, and that it has examined each other's structural relationship by adding a variable called Job Crafting.

This study aims to examine (1) the association between the chief executive officer tenure and audit quality, (2) the relationship between chief executive officer duality and audit quality, (3) the association between board independence and audit quality, (4) the relationship between board size and audit quality, and (5) the role of controlling variables (client size, leverage debt, and business complexity) in controlling these relationships. The research sample includes 325 financial reports from manufacturing firms listed in Amman Stock exchange over the 2014-2018 period. The study relationships are tested by using logistic regression. The results revealed a negative relationship, but not significant between CEO tenure and independent directors with audit quality. In addition, the results showed there is a negative effect of CEO duality on audit quality; also the results revealed that there is a statistically significant effect on the board of directors (board size) on the AQ. In general, the coefficient estimates of controlling variables show that client size and leverage debt positively affect audit quality, and on the contrary, business complexity has an insignificant positive relationship with audit quality. The summary of the study findings play an active role to external auditor opinion on business practice in towered the corporate governance system.

This study examines the role of effective human resource practices and work-life balance in various organizations and their relationship with employee engagement. The data for this study were obtained from 723 employees from various industries in Java. The result suggests that human resource practice alone did not influence employee engagement. However the human resource policy helps develop a sense of WLB for an employee, which in the long run will affect the level of engagement. Thus, work-life balance enables the relationship between employees and their workplace. This study also encompasses current literature regarding huan resource policies in understanding employee engagement through work-life balance. This study provides exploratory findings regarding HR function practices, WLB, and employee involvement in service organizations. It proved that participants from four organizations reported very positive impressions about HR practices and they were also very involved in their work and organization. While their balance still needs to be improved, this may imply that the participants are not happy with their work lives. The main finding of this study is that WLB plays a mediating role in the relationship between HR practices and employee engagement. This means that organizations need to find ways to help employees achieve a better WLB.

Job crafting refers to changes that individuals make in their work to achieve their preferences and needs. Contingent on the social exchange theory, the aim of this study is to explore the relationship between job crafting and job performance. In addition, the study examines the mediating effect of social capital in the relationship between job crafting and job performance. The data was collected from 387 employees in Vietnamese industrial enterprises through a questionnaire survey using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The information was then analyzed by explanatory factor analysis (EFA) confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) as well as structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that all three dimensions of job crating positively affect job performance and that social capital plays a mediating role in that relationship. This study contributes to the field of human resources management, particularly job crafting, by examining different dimensions of job crafting that impacts job performance. Moreover, this is the first study to test the mediating role of social capital on the relationship between job crafting and job performance. These insights may help the organizational managers to encourage beneficial job crafting.
Objectives: This study investigated the relationship between prescribing institutions and medication adherence among patients newly diagnosed with hypertension and diabetes. Methods: This study investigated patients with new prescriptions for hypertension and diabetes in Korea in 2019 with using data collected from general health screenings. A multilevel logistic regression model was applied to explore the relationship between patients' first prescribing institution and their medication adherence, defined as a medication possession ratio (MPR) over 80%. Results: The overall adherence rates were 53.7% and 56.0% among patients with hypertension and diabetes, respectively. The intra-class correlation coefficients were 13.2% for hypertension and 13.8% for diabetes (p<0.001), implying that the first prescribing institution had a significant role in medication adherence. With clinics as the reference group, all other types of hospitals showed an odds ratio (OR) less than 1.00, with the lowest for tertiary hospitals (OR, 0.30 for hypertension; 0.45 for diabetes), and the next lowest in health screening specialized clinics (OR, 0.51 for hypertension; 0.46 for diabetes). Among individual-level variables, female sex, older age, higher insurance premium level, and residing in cities were positively associated with adherence in both the hypertension and diabetes samples. Conclusions: This study showed that the prescribing institution had a significant relationship with medication adherence. When the first prescribing institution was a clinic, newly diagnosed patients were more likely to adhere to their medication. These results highlight the important role played by primary care institutions in managing mild chronic diseases.
This study is empirically intended to look into the effects of security martial arts leader's leadership behaviors on their role perception and coaching confidence, and the mediating effects of their role perception in the relationship between their leadership behaviors and their coaching confidence. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to incumbent security martial arts leaders. The questionnaires were used for data analysis. The correlation analysis prior to a test of research hypothesis showed that there was a significant positive relationship between all potential factors(< p.01). Especially, there was a high relationship between psychological coaching confidence, human relational coaching confidence, exercise coaching, exercise prescription, and volunteer activities. The detailed results of hypothesis verification were as follows: First, hypothesis 1 showed that leadership behaviors had a significant positive effect on role perception, supporting hypothesis 1. Second, hypothesis 2 showed that role perception had a significant positive effect on coaching confidence, supporting hypothesis 2. Third, hypothesis 3 showed that leadership behaviors had a significant positive effect on coaching confidence, supporting hypothesis 3. Fourth, hypothesis 4 showed that role perception was partially mediated in the effects of leadership behaviors on coaching confidence, supporting hypothesis 4. The findings suggest that the effects of security martial arts leader's leadership behaviors on their coaching confidence can be maximized in combination with their role perception.
