A Study on the Distribution Characteristic of Urban Surface Temperature and Urban Heat Island Effects (도시 지표면 온도분포 특성 및 열섬완화방안)

  • The purpose of this research was to three-criteria landuse-pattern, developing density, NDVI which were related to the heat island and find the distribution characteristic of urban surface temperature and urban heat island effects. The results of this study were as follows. According to the analysis of surface temperatures, the first grade was the outside-city like a mountain and its temperature was less than $12.18^{\circ}C$. The fifth grade was the downtown industrial area and its temperature was more than $23.54^{\circ}C$. It means Daegu-Metropolitan-City has the serious heat-island effect. the results of landuse pattern analysis, in case of fifth and forth grade, city area was occupied over 90% with residential, commercial and industrial areas, but in case of third grade, openspace was occupied over 70%. The results of developing density analysis, the temperature had high correlation with building ratio, road ratio, vegetation ratio and etc. To plan for the decrease of heat island effect needed the extension of green space, decrease of paving, but there was a limit to get the objective method for grade classification because of lacking in the basic data, the research of criteria will be accomplished continuously.

  • This research provides insight on the laboratory investigation of the engineering properties of a lateritic soil modified with the mucilage of Opuntia ficus-indica cladodes (MOFIC), which has a history of being used as an earthen plaster. The soil is classified, according to AASHTO classification system, as A-2-6(1). The Atterberg limits, compaction, permeability, California bearing ratio (CBR) and unconfined compressive strength of the soil were determined for each of 0, 4, 8 and 12% addition of the MOFIC, by dry weight of the soil. The plasticity index, optimum moisture content, swell potential, unconfined compressive strength and permeability decreased while the soaked and unsoaked CBR increased, with increasing MOFIC contents. The engineering properties of the natural soil, which only satisfies standard requirements for use as subgrade material, became improved by the application of MOFIC such that it meets the standard requirements for use as sub-base material for road construction. The effects of MOFIC on the engineering properties of the soil resulted from bioclogging and biocementation processes. MOFIC is recommended for use as a modifier of the engineering properties of soils, especially those with similar characteristics to that of the soil used in this study, to be used as a pavement layer material. It is more economical and environment-friendly than conventional soil stabilizers or modifiers.

  • The aiming ability is a to improve accuracy performance of the firing vehicle. This paper describes the detection method of chatter vibration using disturbance acceleration in the pointing structure. In order to analysis vibration trends of the pointing system occurred during vehicle drive, acceleration data was processed by using data processing algorithm with moving average and Hilbert transform. Specific mode constants of acceleration were obtained under various disturbances. Vehicle velocity, road condition, property of pointing structure were considered as factors which make change of vibration trend in vehicle dynamics. Finally, back propagation neural networks have been applied to the pattern recognition for the classification of vibration signal in various driving conditions. Results of signal processing were compared and analysed.

  • Since tunnel construction order was placed one by one, various sensors and actuators installed at the RTU and higher level system in each tunnel maintenance office had their own protocols depending on construction company. The TGMS testbed established on the extended region of Yong-dong Highway, for example, did not have consistent protocol between each automation levels and management levels without considering the functions and/or roles of each level. The management sever in each tunnel was simply networked to the TGMS server. Therefore, it is impossible to implement a new control algorithm as well as to integrate each other since each tunnel was constructed by different company. So, if the construction company is out of business, there is no way to maintain the corresponding tunnel effectively. In order to solve this problem, all the necessary standard protocols was established between automation level and management levels. These interface standards provide the clear classification between individual tunnel system and tunnel management system. So, even if construction company is different, its effect is minimized, so that it is expected to successfully establish PC based TGMS.

I wish to present model and new model in semiconductor industry by backbone that leading persons of existing scholars who present model of existent human error deduce relation. Finally, I wish to deduce backbone of model of pre-suppression about accident leading person of the person center.

  • This paper introduces a video based traffic monitoring system for detecting vehicles and obstacles on the road. To segment moving objects from image sequence, we adopt the background subtraction algorithm based on the local binary patterns (LBP). Recently, LBP based texture analysis techniques are becoming popular tools for various machine vision applications such as face recognition, object classification and so on. In this paper, we adopt an extension of LBP, called the Diagonal LBP (DLBP), to handle the background subtraction problem arise in vision-based autonomous parking systems. It reduces the code length of LBP by half and improves the computation complexity drastically. An edge based shadow removal and blob merging procedure are also applied to the foreground blobs, and a pose estimation technique is utilized for calculating the position and heading angle of the moving object precisely. Experimental results revealed that our system works well for real-time vehicle localization and tracking applications.

  • 최근 자동차 산업과 IT 기술의 융합이 활발해지면서 스마트카, 자율주행 자동차(무인 자동차)와 같은 지능형 자동차 개발이 활발히 진행되고 지능형 자동차의 비전 기반 기술개발도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 고속도로와 같이 포장된 도로나 자갈길과 같은 비포장 도로에서도 운전자의 승차감을 고려한 능동적 안전시스템과 안정적인 자율주행 자동차의 주행능력을 보장하는 기술들 중 도로 유형을 판단하는 것이 중요 요소 중 하나이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 가중치 기반 클러스터링 기술을 이용하여 도로표면 유형을 분류하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 아스팔트, 자갈길, 흙길, 눈길의 도로표면 영상 데이터를 히스토그램의 분포도와 최고점 위치, 에지 영상의 에지량, 채도성분을 이용하여 특징값을 추출하고 클러스터를 구성한다. 분류할 입력 도로표면 영상에 대해 특징값을 분석한 후 탐색범위 내 선택된 각 클러스터의 벡터와의 거리를 측정하여 가중치를 계산하고 가중치가 높은 클러스터를 분류하여 입력 영상에 대한 도로표면을 결정한다. 실험결과 제안하는 방법이 각 도로표면 영상의 특징값과 이를 이용한 가중치만을 이용하여 약 91.25%의 정확도로 도로의 표면을 분류해 내는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

A Study on the Revegetation Structural Analysis for Environment Factor of Road Slope (도로비탈면의 환경인자를 고려한 식생구조분석에 관한 연구)

  • This study was carried out from January 1998 to December 1999 to report the revegetation of cutting-rock slopes and a design standard in the highway cut-slopes. The field data was collected from the 67 sites cutting-rock slopes of highways, local roads, and field test. As the result of analyze, cutting-rock slopes revegetation measures were 16 types. There were Vine planting(3 types), Hydroseeding measures with seed-fertilizer-soil materials(5 types), Vegetaion-base spraying measures(5 types), and Stability measures(3 types). The factors affecting the plant coverage rates of cutting-rock slopes were the slope gradient, the slope width and direction. The plant coverage rate decreases in the condition of steep slope and long slope width and length(height). In addition, the plant coverage rates of the westward and southward were lower than that of the northward and eastward. Most dominant species were Zoysia japonica, Lespedeza cyrtobotrya, Lespedeza cuneata, Rubus crataegifolius, Miscanthus sinensis, Arrundinella hirta, Themeda triandra, and Oenothera odorata. Exotic species were Eragrostis curvula(Weeping lovegrass), Dactylis glomerata Orchardgrass), Lolium perenne(Perennial ryegrass), and Festuca arundinacea(Tall fescue). It is recommended to adjust the proposed factor as environment, topsoil, classification of rock, field condition and characteristic related with revegetation measures on slopes for the presentation of revegetation standard.

  • Landcover has been largely influenced by human activities, especially in recent days. The analysis of the change of land use by urbanized development is useful for determining development plan hereafter. This study aimed to the quantitative analysis about the urban sprawl within 12 years from 1985 to 1996, at Chonan, and for extracting the characteristics of change. For this purpose, this study performed land cover classifications using Landsat TM data . A hybrid classification method was used to classify satellite images into seven types of land cover. Road network digitied from 1:25,000 topographic map was rasterized and overlaid on the landcover map. A result of this study showed that area of forest and paddy decreased due to urban sprawl. Especially from 1993 to 1996, the change of land use progressed rapidly because of merging a city and a country in Chonan. The size of patch in forest had been smaller and irregular form. It is a general progress that size of patch in forest had been smaller and irregular form. It is a general progress that the forest have changed the paddy and bare land paddy and bare land have changed low-density urban or high-density urban. This explained how urbanized Chonan was and applied the suggeston of plan in landuse with the result of this study.

  • In this study, we formulated rational criteria to efficiently provide traffic information services via a crafted approach. By utilizing this, we presented a detailed traffic information service providing method that can overcome the limitations of existing link unit information provision system. Three methodologies such as user survey, data mining, and KHCM (Korea Highway Capacity Manual) utilization method were applied to formulate a rational expression standard for traffic information service. Each method was designed to establish a quantitative criterion for various traffic conditions and to enable user-oriented traffic information service in consideration of the traffic principal/compatibility. Considering the results of each methodological analysis in a comprehensive manner, the basic expression standards for traffic information service was formulated. Then we presented improvements such as traffic condition step by road, speed range of traffic condition, expression term of traffic condition and so on. In order to complement the problems of the information provision system of the existing link unit based on the derived improvement criterion, we presented the detailed traffic information service provision method by using the traffic speed data of the second order. And we applied this to the two links of Daegu city. The method presented in this research can improve the quality of traffic information service. Not only it can be used for various fields such as optimal route search, traffic safety service and so on.
