SMC 압축성형 공정에 관한 유한요소해석 (Finite Element Analysis of SMC Compression Molding Processes)

  • A finite element program is developed to analyze the flow phenomena in SMC compression molding as a viscoplastic model. The calculation of temperature distribution is also carried out by uncoupling the thermal analysis from the flow analysis. SMC molding processes with a flat plate substructure and the one with a T-shaped rib are considered in numerical simulation. The numerical results provide deformed shapes, temperature distribution in a SMC charge, and the forming load. The simulation of compression molding of a flat plate with a T-shaped rib requires a remeshing technique for the whole process.

원형강관에 부착된 ㄱ형 perfobond 리브 전단연결재의 정적실험 (Static Tests of ㄱ Type Perfobond Rib Shear Connectors when using Steel Tube)

  • This paper summarizes the results of push-out test specimens with a new type of shear connector called ㄱ type perfobond rib. This connector is a flat steel plate with a number of holes punched through and strengthen rib's head part. According to experiment result, ㄱ type perfobond rib shear connector appeared that resistance force is increased than stud shear connector by $108\%$ and perfobond rib shear connector by $26\%$. The results obtained indicate that the perfobond rib connector is a viable alternative to the headed studs. An appreciable improvement in the shear capacity of the connection was observed when additional reinforcing bars were passed through the perfobond rib holes. For composite beams with concrete filled steel tubes, ㄱ type perfobond shear connectors exhibit adequate ductility and substantially higher capacities.

연료전지용 분리판의 리브 높이 변화에 따른 응답성 변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Transient Response According to Variation of Rib Height at Fuel Cell Plate)

  • 본 연구는 연료전지 공기극에서 리브의 높이를 변화시켰을 때, 이에 따른 응답성과 성능의 변화를 평가하였다. 전류 밀도의 순간적인 변화에 따른 과도 상태의 전압 신호를 분석하기 위해 당량비와 상대습도가 일정한 상태에서 연료전지의 주 작동 전압 구간인 0.5V~0.7V의 범위에서 전류 밀도를 $0.8A/cm^2$에서 $1.0A/cm^2$으로 변화를 주어 응답성을 분석하였고, 체결압력을 1.5MPa, 2.0Mpa로 다르게 했을 경우 언더슈트의 정도를 확인하였다. $100{\mu}m$의 리브 높이를 변화시킨 채널의 경우, 1.5MPa의 체결압에서 기존의 경우에 비해 빠르게 안정적인 상태에 도달했으며 최대 언더슈트 전압값이 낮게 측정되었다. 하지만 성능은 접촉 저항의 증가로 인해 기존의 분리판에 비해 낮은 값을 나타냈다.

  • 일방향 탄소섬유 복합재료는 복잡한 성형 공정과 낮은 드레이핑능을 보여 비교적 단순한 형태의 구조물 제작에 제한적으로 사용되어 왔으나, 최근 이를 해결하고자 성형성과 생산효율이 우수한 장섬유 복합재료(Long Fiber Prepreg Sheet; LFPS)가 제안되었다. 본 연구에서는 단순한 성형 공정과 높은 성형 정밀도를 갖는 LFPS를 활용하여 전자 기기용 커버 플레이트 설계를 수행하였다. 설계에 앞서 리브 구조가 적용되는 대상 구조물을 8-inch 태블릿 PC 제품의 뒷 커버로 선정하였다. 해당 구조물에 평판에 적용되는 대표적인 하중 조건을 선정하여 유한요소해석에 적용하였고, 이를 활용하여 리브 구조물의 패턴과 리브 형상 변화에 따른 구조물의 구조 강성을 확인하였다. 해석 결과 제한된 부피 내에서 최적의 리브 패턴과 형상을 확보하였으며, 리브 폭이 균일하지 않은 경우가 균일한 경우에 비해 6~10% 처짐량이 감소함을 확인하였다.

벌크헤드 플레이트가 부착된 강바닥판교의 피로상세 개선 연구 (A Study on Improvement of fatigue Details in Orthotropic Steel Deck Bridge with Bulkhead Plate)

  • An orthotropic steel deck system is widely adapted form for a long-span bridge. It has many advantages, such as the big reduction of dead weight, the simplicity for erection, and the reduction of the construction period. However, an orthotropic steel deck system requires a lot of welding work, which may result in defects and deformation of connection. Therefore, the research for the general behavior and fatigue strength of the several details in orthotropic steel deck bridge is necessary. The fatigue failure with distortion results from secondary stress by out-of-plane deformation; these kinds of cracks are very difficult to measure, and can not be precisely calculated through finite element analysis. This stress concentration phenomenon generates the fatigue failure around the lower scallop of the transverse rib. This paper presents improved details of the intersection between the longitudinal rib and the transverse rib of an orthotropic steel deck bridge by the third dimensional hit size test, and the finite element method, which can minimize local stress through parametric study.

폐단면 리브 보강판의 국부 거동 특성 (The Local Behavior Characteristics of a Plate Stiffened with Closed Ribs)

  • 본 연구에서는 여러 가지 제원 변화에 따른 폐단면 리브 보강판의 국부 처짐과 국부 모멘트의 특성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 여러가지 사다리꼴 리브를 갖는 보강판에 정사각형 분포하중을 재하하고 분석한 결과, 재하 패널 폭이 국부 거동에 미치는 영향이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 옆 패널 폭이 미치는 영향은 매우 작은 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 기준 보강판의 국부 거동은 강판과 리브가 이루는 각도로 표현되고, 다른 보강판의 국부 거동은 기준값에 재하 패널 폭, 판 두께, 리브 두께, 리브 높이, 옆 패널 폭의 비율 함수를 곱하여 구할 수 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 결과 또한 상당한 정확도를 나타내었다. 비율 함수를 다른 재하 크기에 적용한 결과, 재하 패널 폭을 제외한 다른 비율 함수의 타당성을 확인할 수 있었으며, 재하 패널 폭의 함수를 보정한 결과, 오차율이 크게 개선되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제안한 비율 함수식을 이용하면, 제원과 상관없이 폐단면 리브를 갖는 보강판의 국부 처짐과 국부 모멘트에 대하여 간편하게 타당한 결과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

직교하는 단락형 리브를 부착한 판형 열교환기 관내측 열유동 해석 (The Thermal and Flow Analysis in the Channel of Plate Heat Exchanger with Crossed-Discrete Ribs)

  • The purpose of this work is to Investigate the pressure drop and the heat transfer characteristics in the channel of plate heat exchanger with crossed-discrete ribs. The flow is assumed to be three-dimensional, laminar and periodically fully developed. Computations have been carried out for angles of attack from $0^{\circ}$ to $90^{\circ}$ and ratios of rib height from 0.15 to 0.46 for various values of Reynolds and Prandtl numbers. The heat transfer was improved by inclined ribs generating helical vortices and secondary flows. The results show that the pressure drop has a maximum value at $70^{\circ}$ and the heat transfer has a maximum value at $45^{\circ}$. As the rib height increases, the pressure drop and the heat transfer increase quadratically, and the increasing rate of pressure drop is higher than that of the heat transfer. As Reynolds number increases, the pressure drop increases in proportion to the square of Reynolds number and the heat transfer increases linearly.

Effective Notch Stress Method for Fatigue Evaluation of Welded Joints in a Steel Bridge Deck

  • Effective notch stress, as an approach to evaluate the local stress at a notch (weld toe or root), is defined as the total stress assuming linear-elastic material behavior. This method can be effectively used to evaluate the fatigue performance of welded joints. In this study, finite element analysis results using the effective notch stress method were correlated with fatigue test results of rib-to-deck welded joints in a steel orthotropic bridge deck. Effective notch stress approach provided a good correlation with the crack pattern observed in the full-scale fatigue test. A higher effective notch stress at the critical weld toe than at the weld root was consistent with the dominant crack pattern observed at the weld toe during testing. The effective notch stress at the toe on the deck plate was about 80% higher than that on the rib; no cracks at the weld toe on the rib in the testing were observed. Maximum effective notch stress at the weld root occurred on the upper side of the root notch, which indicates that cracks are more likely to propagate into the deck plate, not into the weld metal. This is also consistent with the observed crack pattern in which the crack from the root propagated upward into the deck plate. No such crack pattern, propagating into the weld metal, was observed in the testing.

강바닥판교의 벌크헤드 플레이트에 관한 매개변수 연구 (A Parametric Study on Bulkhead Plate of Orthotropic Steel Deck Bridge)

  • Recently, the bridges become greater according to development of a construction technology. This phenomenon requires long span bridge, so that increases the dead weight. The orthotropic steel deck bridges have much advantages such as the light dead weight and the reduction of construction period. And almost whole process of carried out is manufactured at factory, so it can cause the increase of quality authoritativeness. But orthotropic steel deck bridge is consist of structure by welding, it can not avoid a lot of welding jobs, defects and transformation by welding are becoming problem accordingly. Specially, topical stress concentration phenomenon in cross connection area of longitudinal and transverse rib causes fatigue failure. The Bulkhead Plate for prevention of this stress concentration phenomenon was applied by changing the orthotropic steel deck of Williamsburg bridge in USA. But, it is principle that a Bulkhead Plate is not established in the domestic design standard. Therefore, it is estimated that the study for installation of Bulkhead Plate is needed. This treatise with considering these circumstances proves efficiency of Bulkhead Plate and will be presented optimal design details through finite element analysis according to change the geometrical of Bulkhead Plate and tile cross-connection area of longitudinal and transverse rib.

  • This paper reports a result of numerical heat transfer analysis for heat spreader with various ribs. Four different ribs are compared in this study. In general, the heat transfer on a vertical plate is enhanced when a rib is attached as the surface area increases, and the growth of the boundary layer is interrupted. However, for a low flow less than 0.1m/s, it is observed that the heat transfer is sensitive to the height of a rib: it decreases as the height increases. Among the four ribs, the H-shaped rib showed better performance than other ribs.
