The purpose of study is explaining the Historicism as a result of compromise, historical eclecticism, between historical things and current cultural background instead of regarding it as an imitation from the past. It means that external factors in history help internal esthetic value surface out as costume. Fashion s history is more than the classified thing according to the appearance with the changes of the times. Intrinsic cultural elements should be added in creating new fashion. One of the different features between Modernism and Post-modernism. When coming to the period of Post-modernism, it connected with the historical factors to make something new by fragmenting, magnifying, or minimizing them. This is calles 'Historicism'in the world of art. It revived the past, not the past itself, in new ways : quotation, reuse, metaphor, and mixture. To represent the image, parody, pastiche, or bricolage was usually used. In post-modernism fashion, parody is a technique for imitating the past or the preceding forms with artists'own critical points of view. This technique gives us shock or surprise by using satirical, ironical or paradoxical expressions. pastiche shares the same part with parody in imitating particular or unique style, and it can be renamed empty parody, because it doesn't have any hidden motivation or satirical impulse. bricolage is a mixture of quotations from other works. It contains fragments that deepen the image. Like the techniques uttered above, the revival of history through parody, pastiche or bricolage is historical eclecticism and it is included in Historicism.

With the purpose of long-range planning toward local/regional sustainable development, it is desired to avoid unconditional industrialization and expansion and to build an eco-oriented development strategy considering site-specific characteristics of the environment. This paper thus aims at the elaboration of a system dynamics model of a locality/region so as to understand inherent dynamics of sustainable development and to assess the effectiveness of such an eco-oriented strategy. The model thus consists of several positive and negative feedback loops that accelerate or restrict local/regional economic growth within a system boundary incorporating the environment, economy, and society. The model is moreover applied to the assessment of the effectiveness of the development plan recently established in Damyang in JeollaNamdo, Korea. It is regarded in this case to be effective for population immigration and economic prosperity to give priority to restore the bamboo ecosystem and nourish a series of eco-friendly industries based on the bamboo items developed recently. It is also to be positive to sustainable development since it enables to maintain high quality of the environment from the outset of their development steps.

The Fuel cell Rubber tired Train (FRT), which is now getting the attention as the next generation vehicle with its environment-friendliness, is the transportation for smooth connections of city traffic. It is the revival of the surface-car system with its revaluation of the function and technological development. Accordingly, fixed time operation and high speed driving became possible. FRT is operated together with other vehicles on the regular drive way. While this vehicle can solve the problem of traffic congestion in the urban area, it also can be cost-effective when it is compared to the cost of subway construction. It is also designed to minimize the underground or elevated traffic lane, to introduce the new construction technology, to reduce a term of works, and to cut down the operation cost by unmanned automatic driving system. Furthermore, it is considered as the alternative measure of other transportation due to its potential for the ecological way of speed improvement and the accessability to the disabled, elderly and children by developing the vehicle with folding steps or by building the high boarding platforms. In this research, I concentrated on the user oriented interior design of the FRT to make it passenger-friendly and safe in order to maximize the utilization of the vehicle so that all users including wheelchaired, user with baby carriage, elderly and children can conveniently use this vehicle.

The aim of this study is to define the new expressive techniques for multicolored clamp resist (hyuphill) dyeing, based on empirical verification on relics that are estimated to be dyed by the exchange of more than two wood blocks: a previously undiscovered technique. Clamp resist dyeing (assumed to be made by exchanging wood blocks) have uneven resist printing lines or cloudy gradation. These are reproduced as follows: first, they have uneven contour lines, particularly with the color blue. It is possible to exchange wood blocks separately on patterns with uneven resist printing lines, and it has been verified that the exchange of wood blocks makes these irregular resist printing lines. It has also been verified that exchanging the wood blocks according to the gradation (to emphasize the cubic effect on the patterns) yields clamp resist dyeing with no resist printing lines but with cloudy gradations that have accented borders. This study provides basic information that enables methods of multicolored clamp resist dyeing through wood block exchange to be deduced (something that has not been attempted for a long time). Thus, the revival of the modern Korean dyeing culture based on the conservation and perseverance of the traditional dyeing techniques can be achieved.

It's a shame one of the famous places of Busan is the underground shopping area on the decline gradually. The reason why we developed this application is to provide information of the desired product and store for other residents as well as Busan residents. As a result, we expect a revival of underground shopping area. The main features of the application are to provide the location of shops and the information of products. In addition, it provides information of shops around me to utilize of location-based-service. We studied the possibility of win-win situation between offline stores and online through this application.

This paper is a study of culture and identity expressed in textile art works of the age of globalization, centering on the Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale. This study began with the idea that globalism would develop regional cultural diversity as well as contribute to the field of art. In 2000, the Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale held its first large exhibition, and a total of 10 biennales were held from then until 2018. Get an understanding of the Beijing International fiber art Biennale, and select award-winning works from one to ten times to learn about cultural characteristics and identity. The analysis was based on the works of awards from China and Japan, including Korea, which are the center of East Asian culture. The Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale has steadily increased the number of participating countries, writers and works, and once again opened the stage for the revival of textile art following the Lausanne International Tapestry Biennale. Through the Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale, textile artists hope to promote world harmony in textile art, respect cultural diversity and conduct equal dialogue between East and West cultures.

As we enter the 21st century. Korean libraries have embarked on a journey of change. The reason that libraries in Korea have sought to achieve dynamic changes is that various citizens' organizations have analyzed the issue from their point of view deduced the problem. conveyed this to the general public and thus revitalized the structure of mutual understanding in reaching a solution. The two most notable civilian organizations active in the Korean library area are 'the National Union for Revival of School Libraries' and 'the Citizen Action for Reading Culture'. This study examined the history and activities of these organizations and investigated how they worked with the central and local governments for improving school and public libraries and for promoting reading.

Due to the environmental considerations and the energy crisis, there has been a revival of electric vehicles since 1960s. Research and development work concerning with electric vehicles (EVs) was becoming more intense in last decade. As compared with conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) cars, EVs have the advantages of clean, quiet, better energy efficiency, less maintenance and improving the load factor of electric power systems. However, EVs usually have a snort running range, bad acceleration performance and high initial cost. The main reason for these shortcomings is the low figure of energy density and the high per energy cost of battery at present technology state. So it is very important to optimize the overall drive system design with respect to the maximum utilization of battery, energy, motor torque and inverter power. This paper describes a demonstration model of electric car which is driven by 4-wheel direct method using the vector control.

The recent revival of phenomenology and aesthetics is deeply connected to the development of neuroscience which studies the nervous system and the brain with particular regard to cognition and memory. How are those fields gathered into building up the basis for the communication not only between human beings but also between humanity and its environment? This paper examines the human mind considered unseparable from the body, with reference to Merleau-Ponty's two major works: Phenomenology of Perception (1962) and The Visible and the Invisible (1968). While reading these texts, I investigate the way he overturns the Cartesian cogito and establishes the body as the ground of perception. According to him, human perception is chiefly obtained through the body rather than consciousness. Influenced by William James, who produced the unique concept of cognition and memory through his experiments with the brain, Merleau-Ponty extends Heideggerian Desein to the field of the embodied mind. James also anticipates Bergson, who regards memory as the product of interaction between consciousness and matter (or the body). The intervention of the body which stores the past experiences makes it impossible for us to capture the present moment in itself. This failure, however, is viewed as positive by Merleau-Ponty because the human body is not only a medium of social interaction, but also that of ecological communion.

This paper is to propose creating brand of Korean floricultural industry due to decreasing income of farm, cultivation area, market volume. Japanese flower brands have been setting in market in form of chain store or franchise. But in Korea, there is no indigenous image and style of floricultural brands yet. However, The successful brand of floricultural distribution market and flower production, for example, the 10 cm pot plant, the parents' day carnation, and the wreath of condolence or congratulation will be expected revival in the future of Korean floricultural industry.
