Also, the average reviewer's rating, average number of reviews, and average age rating based on the genre of paid and free star charts of game applications, and the average price of paid applications based on genre were analyzed. Hypothesis tests for the differences in average reviewer's rating, average number of reviews, average age rating according to the genre of game applications were performed. Also, hypothesis tests for the differences in average reviewer's rating, average number of reviews, average age rating between the paid and free game applications along with the hypothesis test for the differences in price according to the genre of paid game applications were performed. Lastly, hypothesis tests for the correlation between the start chart ranking and number of reviews in association with the correlation between the start chart ranking and reviewer's rating were performed. Statistically significant differences in average reviewer's rating, average number of reviews, average age rating according to the genre of game applications, and between the paid and free game applications were verified. However, the correlation between the start chart ranking and number of reviews in association with the correlation between the start chart ranking and reviewer's rating were not statistically significant.

  • In recent software development, repetitive code fragments (i.e., clones) are common due to the copy-and-paste programming practice, the framework-based development, or the reuse of same design patterns. Such similar code fragments are likely to introduce more bugs but are easily disregarded by a code reviewer or a programmer. In this paper, we present a code review tool to help code reviewers identify important code changes written by other programmers and recommend which changes need to be reviewed first. Specifically, to identify important code changes, our approach detects code clones across revisions and investigates them. Then, to help a code reviewer, our approach ranks the identified changes in accordance with several software quality metrics and statistics on those clones and changes. Furthermore, our approach allows the code reviewer to express their preferences during code review time. As a result, the code reviewer who has little knowledge of a code base can reduce his or her effort by reviewing the most significant changes that require an instant attention. To evaluate our approach, we integrated our approach with a modern IDE (e.g., Eclipse) as a plugin and then analyzed two third-party open source projects. The experimental results indicate that our approach can improve code reviewer's productivity.

  • Interests on collaborative research and academic relationship among researchers have been increased. Collaborative researchers can maximize productivity, time and cost savings, and reduce the risk of research. An empirical study on the research productivity of co-authors' network and review efficiency of the reviewer network was conducted based on co-author networks and reviewer networks in Korea Society of IT Service. This study aims to find the characteristics of the co-author and reviewer networks, and to analyze research productivity and review efficiency in order to draw some implications. The meaning of interactions among professional groups was analyzed. Research productivity index was calculated using 728 authors' papers submitted to the society. In order to verify the effects of indicators of social network analysis on research productivity and review efficiency, correlation and regression analyses were used. As a result, the indicators of network centrality did not affect the review efficiency, but affect the research productivity.

  • Commercial and Art movies have different characteristics even when they belong to the same 'movie' category. This study investigated the differential effects of reviewer professionalism and expectation about a movie on the intention to watch the movie. Based on the survey on young potential movie goers, we found that movie types indeed have significant effects. Specifically, in the case of art movie, people had high level of intention to watch when they were exposed to professional reviews. We found that utilitarian expectation mediates between reviewer professionalism and intention to watch for art movie. On the other hand, in the case of commercial movie, people had high level of intention to watch when they were exposed to amateur reviewers. We found that hedonic expectation mediates between reviewer professionalism and intention to watch for art movie. In result, this study contributes to our knowledge to movie industry through showing that reviewer professionalism have different impacts on commercial and art movies.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to suggest the number about the projected workforce of Certified Insurance Reviewer Nurses(CIRN) in Korea. Method : The following methods were used for this study: 1) national and international internet data were collected. 2) demand model was used for the prediction of the projected workforce of CIRN. 3) experts in insurance reviewing were contacted to get an opinion and information about the criteria of distribution and scope of CIRNs, 4) we figured out the maximum and minimum number of CIRN Korea needed as followed method, the maximum number was estimated that one CIRN would review 150 cases of Detailed Accounts for Examination and Treatment and the minimum was estimated 200 cases of it. 5) time series regression equation analysis was used for the prediction of number of CIRNs for the year 2003 to 2010. Result: 1) The prediction of CIRNs is as follows, there will be 2,313$\sim$2,827 of CIRN demanded in 2002, 2,500$\sim$3,069 in 2005 and 2,806$\sim$3,466 in 2010. 2) It is really desirable that CIRNs not only work for reviewing the detailed accounts for examination and treatment in hospital but also for inspecting allowance in individual insurance company. Conclusion : It is very desirable that the CIRN advocate the clients' rights because they will work for them satisfactory rather than other hospital experts group. But before settling the system of the CIRN in Korea, there would be its own professional role identity and a code of conduct.

  • Finding and selecting proper reviewers is a burden on the publisher of the journal. In order to solve this problem, the online submission system started to recommend appropriate reviewers automatically. It includes a variety of new features, from recommending authors in the references of submitted papers as reviewers to finding similar papers by searching the citation index and suggesting reviewer candidates extensively. This study investigated how the online submission system provides functions such as recommendation of reviewers. As a result of examining major online submission systems, ScholarOne and Editorial Manager were recommending reviewer candidates by commercial citation index and review history platform. On the other hand, JAMS, a domestic online submission system, did not have any advanced functions such as recommendation of candidates for reviewers. Sooner or later, in Korea, it seems that more efforts should be made to improve the function of online submission system, such as recommending suitable reviewers for papers.

  • Purpose - Online product review has become a crucial part of the online retailer's market performance for a wide range of products. This research aims to investigate how an individual reviewer's review frequency and timing affect her/his average attitude toward products. Research design, data, and methodology - To conduct reviewer-level analysis, this study uses 42,172 posted online review messages generated by 6,941 identified reviewers for 59 movies released in the South Korea from July 2015 to December 2015. This study adopts Tobit model specification to take into account the censored nature and the selection bias arising from the nature of J-shaped distribution of movie rating. Results - Our estimation results support that the negative impact of review frequency and timing on valence. Furthermore, review timing has an inverted-U relationship with the user's average valence and enhance the negative effect of review frequency. Conclusions - This study contributes to the growing literature on the understanding how eWOM is generated at the individual consumer level. On the basis of the main empirical findings, this study provides insights into building a recommendation system in online retail store based on the consumer's review history data - frequency, timing, and valence.
