Purpose : To evaluate the emergency medical protocols and assessments through the case reports. Method : We studied retrospectively investigates the emergency calls through the 1339 emergency patients information center in 1997. Results : The emergency calls show an order : abdominal pain(13.5%), unconsciousness(12.0%), traffic accidents(7.4%), bleeding(6.6%), respiration difficulty(5.9%) by emergency medical protocols, and injury and poisoning(22.3%), symptom (51.6%), others (26.1%). Conclusion : The results suggest that a specific training program for emergency medical dispatchers should be established, and emergency medical dispatcher managers must review emergency medical dispatching cases on the basis of emergency medical protocols every year. Emergency medical services, furthermore, will continue to raise the standard for emergency medical dispatching.

Purpose: Cytokines have widespread and potent effects across the life span. This study was carried out to understand about cytokines that influence nursing research and practice. Method: Journal publications rewied include cytokine topics on CINAHL and Korean nursing research from January 2000 to December 2006. Result: In this study, the specific and numerical expression of for the level of Cytokines as a physiological factor related to the disease clearly provides the patient's disease mechanism and manifestation of the symptoms. Also, it can be the basise of nursing research and evidence-based nursing intervention. Conclusion: The practical use of Cytokines has to be considered to set up the direction of the nursing research and the study of the standard manual of Cytokines is continuously required.

In this study we discuss some problems that emerged from paleolimnological and paleontological investigations of terrestrial Holocene ecosystems on King George Island (South Shetland Islands) conducted by an Argentine-Polish research group. Biological and geochemical markers commonly used in standard analytical procedures are considered insufficient in tracing overlapping records of past environmental changes preserved in peat banks, lake sediments and ornithogenic remnants. Records that might be explained by predictable natural events (related to glacio-isostatic uplift of land), roughly predictable events (ecological succession), or unpredictable events (volcanic eruptions or accidental destruction of aquatic moss) may overlap or interfinger one with another providing that signals of regional and/or global climatic changes, are hardly identifiable. A more sophisticated and more selective methods are recommended to do discrimination between records of local and regional/golbal processes in studies on Holocene climatic history of the South Shetland Islands.

We retrospectively examined the charts of travelers admitted to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Bangkok, Thailand, with malaria during the years 2000-2005. Twenty-one cases of malaria were identified, of which 12 (57%) were Plasmodium vivax infections and 9 (43%) were P. falciparum infections. There was one mixed case with vivax and falciparum infection. Only 1 P. falciparum case had complications. All cases were successfully treated with standard antimalarial drugs. Only 3 of the 21 cases were thought to be acquired in Thailand, the rest were regarded to be imported.

Advanced Pressurized Reactor 1400(APR1400), which is a standard evolutionary advanced light water reactor(ALWR), has been developed from 1992 as one of long-term Government Project(G-7). The APR-1400 is designed to operate at the rated output of 4000MWt to produce an electric power output of around 1450MWe. Due to the increased electric power, In Nuclear Power plant huge quantities of heat are generated in the thermo-dynamic process used for producing electrical energy. So, There is considerationly additional cooling, Heat transfer area and increased cooling water of Heat Exchanger which take care of the different smaller cooling duties within the nuclear power plant. We review applying to PRE instead of Shell-and-Tube Heat exchanger. In this paper, we describe the major design features of PRE, Comparison between a PHE and a Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger, and then Applicability of Plate Heat Exchanger in Nuclear Power Plant Component Cooling water systems.

Positron emission tomogrpahy (PET) represents the most advanced scintigraphic imaging technology. With the increase in availability of PET, the clinical use of PET has grown in medical fields. This can be employed for cardiovascular research as well as for clinical applications in patients with various cardiovascular disease. PET allows non-invasive functional assessment of myocardial perfusion, substrate metabolism and cardiac innervation and receptors as well as gene expression in vivo. PET is regarded as the gold standard for the detection of myocardial viability, and it is the only method available for the quantitative assessment of myocardial blood flow. This review focuses on the clinical applications of myocardial perfusion PET in coronary artery disease.

So this study tries to find out the resonable method of taxi fare calculation. Many research institutes have tried to find out good method of taxi fare calculation. Until now, there has not been any standard method of taxi fare calculation. So the purpose of this study is to provide the best method of taxi fare calculation. This is the example of the method of taxi fare calculation. Both studies of related literature and empirical investigation have been reviewed to accomplish the purpose of this study.

The energy efficiency and environment-friendly aspect of the railway system would be superior to other on-land transportation systems. In a preliminary feasibility study stage, the energy efficiency and problems related with environment are usually not considered. Selection of optimal railway line is taken into consideration include of the purpose of railway, geographical features and facility of management. The railway Alignment which could be reasons of environmental problems are focused and studied in this paper. This study performed opinions of specialists, checking of industrial environment, analysis of bid guideline to select the optimal line and executed AHP method to make quality model and choose weight factors. The investment for railway systems could be encouraged by the considering of main environmental elements evaluated with the modified noise and vibration standard for environment-friendly railway construction.
