  • In this paper, the resonant inverter of SEPP-LCC type is proposed and described the operating principle. As adding t two capacitors in the switching devices in parallel. the proposed inverter can reduce switching losses. noise and voltage s stress at Turn-on and Turn-off. The analysis of the proposed circuit are described by using the normalized parameters. The data of design are got by the characteristic values and an example of the design's method is proposed. In addition. t the justification of theoretical analysis is verified by comparing to the experimental waveforms.

  • Recently, the linear compressors with the free piston driven by the linear motor have widely attention in the cooling apparatus such as a refrigerator due to high efficiency. The method of using triacs as a linear motor drive is not satisfactory to improve the efficiency of the linear compressor. In this paper, the performance of the linear compressor using a PWM inverter such as the efficiency is investigated with the variations of both mechanical resonant frequency and electrical resonant frequency. The control loop for controlling both the piston stroke and efficiency is suggested. Through simulation and experimental studies, the performance of both the stroke and angle controls for improving the efficiency of the linear compressor is verified.

Development of Full-Bridge High-Frequency Resonant Inverter for Electromagnetic Induction Heating (전자유도가열용 Full-Bridge 고주파 공진형 인버터의 개발)

  • In this paper are described the indirect induction healed boiler and induction boated hot air producer using the voltage-fed series resonant high-frequency inverter which can operate in the frequency range from 20[kHz]to 50[kHz]. A specially designed induction heater, which is composed of laminated stainless assembly with many tiny holes and interconnected spot welding points between stainless plates, is inserted into the ceramic type vessel with external working coil. This working coil is connected to the inverter and turbulence fluid through this induction heater to moving fluid generates in the vessel. The operating performances of this unique appliance in next generation and its effectiveness are evaluated and discussed from a practical point of view.

  • This paper presents a new method for determining L, Cs, and Cp in a series parallel resonant inverter. This inverter is suitable for driving high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps. The operating frequency is selected to avoid acoustic resonances which are governed by the size and shape of the arc tube. L, Cs and Cp, are chosen to satisfy the ignition and steady state requirements of the lamp. Equations are developed to analyze the starting condition and steady state operating condition of the lamp. For the prototype ballast for a 250W Metal Halide Lamp, experimental results are presented in order to validate the proposed method.

  • In order to solve the problem of system efficiency reduced on account of two stage power conversion, we propose a series resonant full bridge inverter circuit for battery-fed microwave oven. This circuit has both a compact size and a light weight. Also, a frequency control adjusts power levels of the microwave oven. Operational principles are explained in detail. A proto-type inverter circuit with 1[kW] power consumption is built and tested for verifying the operation.

  • In this paper demonstrates the possibiity of utilising clamped mode - series resonant converter technology in the high frequency link inverter configuration. Main circuit of the proposed inverter is analyzed through circuit analys and waveform simulation. In control circuit PLL circuit and 8 bit single chip microcontroller is adopted, therefore flexibility and accuracy of control circuit is increased.

  • This paper proposed a transfer function of a frequency-controlled resonant inverter for output power control. The inverter is modeled as an equivalent circuit by using Phasor transformation. A transfer function is derived from the equivalent circuit which contains cross-coupled nonlinear parts. By simulation of the circuit, the transfer function can be approximated as a linear first-order function. The proposed transfer function is verified through comparison of experimental and simulation results.

  • This paper deals with the power loss analysis of voltage source type space voltage vector modulated soft switching inverter, and proposed the new voltage vector correction principle during one sampling period on realize high quality cutput voltage waveforms for two soft-swiching approches. The operating pinciple of a single active auxiliary resonant DC link snubber circuit is described. Moreover, the effectiveness of soft switching inverter operating under the corrected voltage pattern is proved on the basis of simulation and experimental results.
