Purpose: The ward division is a representative part of the hospital, where a variety of user activities are performed. Users can be broadly categorized as patients and carers, visitors, and medical staff (doctors and nurses). The relationship between these two is a major issue with ward planning as the patient's place of life centers around the hospital room and the task of the clinical workforce centers around the nursing station (NS). Against this backdrop, the study divides the ward units of the General Hospital of China into patient areas, medical team areas, supply areas, and public domain, with the focus on the ward areas affecting most significantly in the hospital patients. Methods: The theoretical advance studies of the standard ward unit are identified by the associated guidelines, articles, and documentation. Results: This study is a summary analysis of relevant regulations, reference literature, and drawing data from the target hospital. Further work is expected to be undertaken, including further surveys and observational surveys, to produce more detailed results. Implications: It is expected that the research in this paper will provide an effective reference for the future research of China General Hospital Ward department, so as to promote and improve the work system of China General Hospital Ward department.

According to the development of information and communication technology, a great deal of researches have been taken in image digital processing field. And for earning the standard level of images, to remove noises such as impulse noise has became a essential demand. In those algorithms which remove impulse noise effectively, the standard median (SM) filter is representative. However, it has a disadvantage to degrade the quality of overall image by occurring errors in the edge domain. Therefore, in this paper, to restore the corrupted image by impulse noise, a nonlinear spatial filter based on Min-max operation was proposed and it was compared with conventional methods through simulations.

This paper presents an approximate analytical solution to a two-region one-dimensional model for the charging process of stratified thermal storage tanks with variable inlet temperature in the presence of momentum-induced mixing. Based on the superposition principle, an arbitrary-varying inlet temperature is decomposed into inherent discontinuous steps and continuous intervals approximated as a finite number of piecewise linear functions. This approximation allows the temperature of the upper perfectly-mixed layer to be expressed in terms of constant, linear and exponential functions with respect to time. Applying the Laplace transform technique to the model equation for the lower thermocline layer subject to each of three representative interfacial conditions yields compact-form solutions, a linear combination of which constitutes the final temperature profile. A systematic method for deriving solutions to the plug-flow problem having polynomial-type boundary conditions is also established. The effect of adiabatic exit boundary on solution behaviors proves to be negligible under the actual working conditions, which justifies the assumption of semi-infinite domain introduced in the solution procedure. Finally, the approximate solution is validated by comparing it with an exact solution obtained for a specific variation of inlet temperature. Excellent agreements between them suffice to show the necessity and utility of this work.
In this paper, a new speech endpoint detection method in noisy environments for moving robot platforms is proposed. In the conventional method, the endpoint of speech is obtained by applying an edge detection filter that finds abrupt changes in the feature domain. However, since the feature of the frame energy is unstable in such noisy environments, it is difficult to accurately find the endpoint of speech. Therefore, a novel feature extraction method based on the twice-iterated fast fourier transform (TIFFT) and statistical models of speech is proposed. The proposed feature extraction method was applied to an edge detection filter for effective detection of the endpoint of speech. Representative experiments claim that there was a substantial improvement over the conventional method.
This paper describes an algorithm that calculates Absolute Sound Level (ASL) for contents platform. ASL is a single volume representing individual sound sources and is a concept designed to integrate and utilize the sound level units in digital sound source and physical domain from a speaker in practical areas. For this concept to be used in content platforms and others, it is necessary to automatically derive the ASL without having to go through a hearing of mastering engineers. The key parameters of which a person recognizes the representative sound level of an individual single sound source are the areas of "frequency, maximum energy, energy variation coefficient, and perceived energy distribution," and the ASL was calculated through the normalizing of the weights.

To discover new drugs more quickly and more efficiently, pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology firms are increasingly turning to the genomics and the structural proteomics technologies. Structural-proteomics can provide a foundation for this through the determination and analysis for protein structure on a genomics scale. Among many structures determined by CGI, we will present with the representative examples drawn from our work on novel structures or complex structures of the disease-related proteins. The alpha subunit of Hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) is targeted for degradation under normoxic conditions by an ubiquitin-ligase complex that recognizes a hydroxylated proline residue in HIF. Hydroxylation is catalysed by HIF prolyl 4-hydroxylases (HIFPH) which are fe(II) and 2-oxoglutarate (2-OG) dependent oxygenases. Here, we discuss the first crystal structure of the catalytic domain of HIFPH in complexes, with the Fe(II)/2-OG at 1.8Å. These structures suggest that the Ll region (residues 236-253), which is also conserved in mammals, form a 'lid' that closes over the active site. The structural and mutagenesis analyses allow us to provide a focus for understanding cellular responses to hypoxia and a target for the therapeutic manipulation.

The ratio of aged class has been increasing gradually not only in Korea, but also in the world since several years ago. As a result, many unexpected social problems started to now. The burden charged to this society is to solve those problems; how to take care of that aged people, how to offer jobs to them, etc. It means that the study about the aged class should be done soon. Due to that need, this thesis is wrote out. The aim of this thesis is to detect the emotion of aged people and establish a certain algorithm for detecting it. In the whole process of experiment and analysis, I used HRV(Heart Rate Variability) data since the heart is a representative which is controlled by the ANS(autonomic nervous system), and the ANS reflects the changes in emotion. After stimulating the aged people with the authorized pictures which induce different emotions each. 1 measured HRV of those aged. The HRV data is then analyzed in the two domain area, time and frequency. 1 guessed that the result would show some certain differences according to the pictures and it was shown from the experiment. Seeing the result, HRV was changed by what the aged felt looking at the pictures. Then it also means that visual stimulation influence on the has of the aged people.

This paper presents a parallel computing methodology for polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs) and detailed simulation contours of a real-scale fuel cell. In this work, a three-dimensional two-phase PEFC model is applied to a large-scale 200 $cm^2$ fuel cell geometry that requires roughly 13.5 million grid points based on grid-independence study. For parallel computing, the large-scale computational domain is decomposed into 12 sub-domains and parallel simulations are carried out using 12 processors of 2.53 GHz Intel core i7 and 48GB RECC DDR3-1333. The work represents the first attempt to parallelize a two-phase PEFC code and illustrate two-phase contours in a representative industrial cell.
For a systematic study on wind-induced vibration characteristics of large hyperbolic cooling towers with different feature sizes, the pressure measurement tests are finished on the rigid body models of three representative cooling towers with the height of 155 m, 177 m and 215 m respectively. Combining the refined frequency-domain algorithm of wind-induced responses, the wind-induced average response, resonant response, background response, coupling response and wind vibration coefficients of large cooling towers with different feature sizes are obtained. Based on the calculating results, the parametric analysis on wind-induced vibration of cooling towers is carried out, e.g. the feature sizes, damping ratio and the interference effect of surrounding buildings. The discussion shows that the increase of feature sizes makes wind-induced average response and fluctuating response larger correspondingly, and the proportion of resonant response also gradually increased, but it has little effect on the wind vibration coefficient. The increase of damping ratio makes resonant response and the wind vibration coefficient decreases obviously, which brings about no effect on average response and background response. The interference effect of surrounding buildings makes the fluctuating response and wind vibration coefficient increased significantly, furthermore, the increase ranges of resonant response is greater than background response.
