  • Recently as it is growing concern about NPR(Non-Photorealistic Rendering), Several computer graphics researchers are studying to simulate conventional artistic expressions such as pen-and-ink illustrations, watercolor and impressionism technique. In the NPR it is important thing that someone can produce a representation looked like work drawn or manipulated people directly. In this paper we propose that the technique could make the mosaic work automatically, tore and tagged a paper by hands used to educational and artistical representation, we suggest various methods to express a shape and texture of paper tore by hands without using cutters or scissors.

  • As a period of pluralism, today's museum architecture has been expanding social and cultural meaning. So, Various expressions are appearing in museum architecture. Accordingly, the museum must be very reproducible and comply with aesthetic requirements. At the same time, museum construction in urban design and features must satisfy professional requirements. SANAA is one of contemporary architects has been decisively deleted existing fixed and functional layout type of program through 'The new hierarchy'. Thus, the experience of the space will vary. Now, museum space is urgently needed than ever before crustal movements. Thus, this study aims to contribute an alternative to the museum space configuration according to the trend of the times through 'The new hierarchy' of SANAA. This paper is limited to the cases of the SANAA's museum architecture. We analyze the characteristics of representation on 'The new hierarchy' appear in the museum space configuration and then, examine the value of the spatial. SANAA's 'New Hierarchy' is going to set the cognitive boundary by expression targeting plane and the surface. It is completely different than the previous boundaries. Characteristics of the expression represents non-centrality, decentrally, non-oriented, uncertainty, non-territorialization, uniformity. It is steady that identity of Space, Human, Environment in Museum. They have a relationship each concept of Independence, autonomy, equality.

  • Non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) is one of the typical parts-based representation in which images are expressed as a linear combination of basis vectors that show the lcoal features or objects in the images. In this paper, we represent face images using various NMF methods and recognize their face identities based on extracted features using a learning vector quantization. We analyzed the various NMF methods by comparing extracted basis vectors. Also we confirmed the availability of NMF to the face recognition by verification of recognition rate of the various NMF methods.

  • The vehicle recognition consists of two steps; the vehicle region detection step and the vehicle identification step based on the feature extracted from the detected region. Features using linear transformations have the effect of dimension reduction as well as represent statistical characteristics, and show the robustness in translation and rotation of objects. Among the linear transformations, the NMF(Non-negative Matrix Factorization) is one of part-based representation. Therefore, we can extract NMF features with sparsity and improve the vehicle recognition rate by the representation of local features of a car as a basis vector. In this paper, we propose a feature extraction using NMF suitable for the vehicle recognition, and verify the recognition rate with it. Also, we compared the vehicle recognition rate for the occluded area using the SNMF(sparse NMF) which has basis vectors with constraint and LVQ2 neural network. We showed that the feature through the proposed NMF is robust in the urban scene where occlusions are frequently occur.

  • After fifteenth century artists sought for a method on representation of nature through perspectiva artificialis. Perspectiva artificialis is become a tool for establishment of their theory and value. This study aim to study Orientation and mean of Anamorphosis in Architectural Perspective and transitional procedure of perspective in appealing the will of Architects. Initially, the concern of perspective is begun with optics in the Middle Ages. In Renaissance Ages perspective are presented a scientific and real world to a transformation of non-scientific world with visual cone, vanish oint and anamorphosis. In artists anamorphosis specially is a effective means to emphasize a affect of mannerism. Accordingly, perspective is discoursed to approached between art and technique. After renaissance perspective is become the driving force of the representation in spirit of scientific investigation ; while anamorphosis such a manneristic present in art is motived to prevent from obtaining its universe and implicity through their methodology.

  • For many years, researchers in face description area have been representing and recognizing faces based on different methods that include subspace discriminant analysis, statistical learning and non-statistics based approach etc. But still automatic face recognition remains an interesting but challenging problem. This paper presents a novel and efficient face image representation method based on Optimized Local Ternary Pattern (OLTP) texture features. The face image is divided into several regions from which the OLTP texture feature distributions are extracted and concatenated into a feature vector that can act as face descriptor. The recognition is performed using nearest neighbor classification method with Chi-square distance as a similarity measure. Extensive experimental results on Yale B, ORL and AR face databases show that OLTP consistently performs much better than other well recognized texture models for face recognition.

  • CAGD(Computer Aided Geometric Design) is a branch of applied mathematics concerned with algorithms for the design of smooth curves and surfaces and for their efficient mathematical representation. The representation is used for the computation of the curves and surfaces, as well as geometrical quantities of importance such as curvatures, intersection curves between two surfaces and offset surfaces. The $B\acute{e}zier$ curves, B-spline, rational $B\acute{e}zier$ curves and NURBS(Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline) are basically and widely used in CAGD. The definitions and properties of these curves are presented in this paper. And a brief history of study on the bound for derivative of rational curves in CAGD is also presented.

  • In this paper, we propose an accelerating scheme of convergence of numerical solutions of fuzzy non-linear equations. Numerical experiments show that the new method has significant acceleration of convergence of solutions of fuzzy non-linear equation. Three-dimensional graphical representation of fuzzy solutions is also provided as a reference of visual convergence of the solution sequence.

  • In this work, we present the development of a 3D lattice-type model at microscale based upon the Voronoi-cell representation of material microstructure. This model can capture the coupling between mechanic and electric fields with non-linear constitutive behavior for both. More precisely, for electric part we consider the ferroelectric constitutive behavior with the possibility of domain switching polarization, which can be handled in the same fashion as deformation theory of plasticity. For mechanics part, we introduce the constitutive model of plasticity with the Armstrong-Frederick kinematic hardening. This model is used to simulate a complete coupling of the chosen electric and mechanics behavior with a multiscale approach implemented within the same computational architecture.
