Design and Implementation of Report Generator based on XML Form : Moonlight (XML 폼 구조를 기반으로 하는 리포트 생성기의 설계 및 구현 : Moonlight)

  • This paper presents details of the design and implementation of a report generator, Moonlight, which supports to design the report form from DB or data sources and print it to the printer. Also this paper defines the detailed model of the report system, the architecture and behavior of MoonLight, and the components of the report form, and also shows algorithms to make the report template and print the report bound to the data source. Moonlight takes advantage of XML language for the report template form. And also it is implemented by Jana language to take the advantage of platform independency. This paper also shows the results of run-time performance of Moonlight which is measured with the time to construct page objects of a report and the time to render the page objects to the print images, respectively.

  • The Construction Standard Production Unit(CSPU) has been used for the standard cost estimate in public and private construction projects. However, It is questionable if the reliability and/or authenticity of the system is acceptable due to the lack of consistent enactment and/or revision procedures. This study identifies informational conditions and issues relative to using daily work report as a data collection method for enacting and/or revising CSPU system, and establishes the measures for improving the daily work report. This study aims on the information constitution of daily job-site report, daily manpower report, wages register for specialty contractors. According to the research results, most of necessary data were included in a daily job-site report. In conclusion, it is investigated that data of daily manpower report and wage register need to be included in a daily job-site report for understanding the current state of worker in the future.

A Study on the Report Assessment Patterns of International Undergraduate Students and Instructors (대학보고서에 대한 외국인 학부 유학생과 교수자의 평가 양상 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify differences in the report assessment patterns of international undergraduate students and instructors. Based on two sample reports, the following differences were confirmed between international students and instructors' assessments of reports. First, instructors and students showed no differences in their assessments of the well-formatted report. However, the two groups exhibited differences in their assessments of the report that was not well formatted in that students evaluated the report more highly than instructors did. Second, instructors and students exhibited notable differences in their assessments of items such as citation, logic, and expression. This may have been because students lacked knowledge on citation methods and the use of grounds for arguments based on citation methods and topics. Third, students and instructors showed differences in their areas of focus when evaluating reports. Instructors mostly focused on the main topics of each report, whereas students focused on supporting details for the main topics. Based on these findings, instructors need to emphasize the following areas in educating international undergraduate students on report writing. First, they should stress proper source citation. They should provide frequent guidance on how to accurately cite sources. Second, they should help students to first think about the overall form and content of their reports. Instructors should emphasize that having a logical overall report structure and content that is relevant to the subject is more important in general than grammar or accuracy of vocabulary.

  • 소프트웨어 개발 환경이 빠르게 변화함에 따라 시스템의 복잡성이 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 크고 작은 소프트웨어의 버그를 피할 수 없게 되며 이를 효율적으로 처리하기 위해 Bug report 를 사용한다. 하지만, Bug report 에서 개발자가 해당 Bug report 의 우선순위를 결정하는 과정은 노력과 비용 그리고 시간을 많이 소모하게 만든다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 Bug report 내의 Stack trace 를 기반으로 Bug 의 우선순위를 자동적으로 추천하는 기법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 첫 번째로 Bug report 로부터 Stack trace 를 추출하였으며 Stack trace 의 3 가지 요소(Exception, Reason 그리고 Stack frame)에 TF-IDF, Word2Vec 그리고 Stack overflow 를 사용하여 특징 벡터를 정의하였다. 그리고 Bug 의 우선순위 추천 모델을 생성하기 위해 4 가지의 Classification 알고리즘을(Random Forest, Decision Tree, XGBoost, SVM)을 적용하였다. 평가에서는 266,292 개의 JDK library 의 Bug report 데이터를 수집하였고 그중 Stack trace 를 가진 Bug report 로부터 68%의 정확도를 산출하였다.

Systematic Review of Bug Report Processing Techniques to Improve Software Management Performance

  • Bug report processing is a key element of bug fixing in modern software maintenance. Bug reports are not processed immediately after submission and involve several processes such as bug report deduplication and bug report triage before bug fixing is initiated; however, this method of bug fixing is very inefficient because all these processes are performed manually. Software engineers have persistently highlighted the need to automate these processes, and as a result, many automation techniques have been proposed for bug report processing; however, the accuracy of the existing methods is not satisfactory. Therefore, this study focuses on surveying to improve the accuracy of existing techniques for bug report processing. Reviews of each method proposed in this study consist of a description, used techniques, experiments, and comparison results. The results of this study indicate that research in the field of bug deduplication still lacks and therefore requires numerous studies that integrate clustering and natural language processing. This study further indicates that although all studies in the field of triage are based on machine learning, results of studies on deep learning are still insufficient.

Risk Management Functions and Audit Report Lag among Listed Saudi Manufacturing Companies

  • This paper examines whether the combination of risk management and audit committee functions are associated with audit report lag. Audit report lag is considered an important aspect of the financial reporting. The financial reports are the main source of information for shareholders through which they make their decisions and it assists in reducing the information asymmetry. As the internal control mechanisms substitute the external ones, the internal board committees formed by the board of directors can reduce the audit work and, consequently, reduces the audit report lag. A key committee is the risk management committee. This paper examines whether the combination of risk management and audit committee functions are associated with audit report lag. We posit that a combination of such functions in one committee refereed as audit committee affects the audit report delay. Data were obtained from 198 manufacturing companies listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) for the years 2016-2018. A pooled OLS regression analysis shows that a combination of risk management and audit committee functions in a stand-alone committee named "audit committee" is associated with longer audit report lag. The outcomes suggest companies should prioritize the establishment of standalone risk management committee with activities separated from those of audit committees.

  • As more and more research and companies use health care data, efforts are being made to vitalize health care data worldwide. However, the system and format used by each institution is different. Therefore, this research established a basic model to classify text data onto multiple institutions according to the type of the future by establishing a basic model to classify the types of medical records of the EEG Report. For EEG Report classification, four deep learning-based algorithms were compared. As a result of the experiment, the ANN model trained by vectorizing with One-Hot Encoding showed the highest performance with an accuracy of 71%.

  • Frequent disconnection is connected directly to client's cache consistency problem in Mobile Computing environment. For solving cache consistency problem, research about Invalidation Report is studied. But, existent invalidation report structure comes with increase of size of invalidation report structure and decline of cache efficiency if quantity of data become much, or quantity of updated data increases. Also, while existent method confirms whole cache, invalidation report doesn't support selective listening. This paper proposes TTCI(Timestamp Tree-based Cache Invalidation scheme) as invalidation report structure that solve problem of these existing schemes and improve efficiency. We can make TTCI using timestamp of updated data, composing timestamp tree and list ID of data in updated order. If we utilize this, each client can confirm correct information in point that become own disconnecting and increase cache utilization ratio. Also, we can pare down client's resources consumption by selective listening using tree structure. We experimented in comparison with DRCI(Dual-Report Cache Invalidation) that is existent techniques to verify such efficiency of TTCI scheme.

  • The utilization of System Design Data(SDD) based upon Model Based Systems Engineering(MBSE) process is as important as the building of them. This paper describes the development and the utilization of a report template which can extract and modify data we need from SDD. A report template is defined as a set of elements in the Reporting Facility and is created by placing a sequence of Reporting elements onto a Behavior Diagram-like structure called a ReportNet. We focus on the development of a report template to secure and validate requirements traceability.

  • In this paper, we propose the system for automatic generation of issue analysis report based on social big data mining, with the purpose of resolving three problems of the previous technologies in a social media analysis and analytic report generation. Three problems are the isolation of analysis, the subjectivity of experts and the closure of information attributable to a high price. The system is comprised of the natural language query analysis, the issue analysis, the social big data analysis, the social big data correlation analysis and the automatic report generation. For the evaluation of report usefulness, we used a Likert scale and made two experts of big data analysis evaluate. The result shows that the quality of report is comparatively useful and reliable. Because of a low price of the report generation, the correlation analysis of social big data and the objectivity of social big data analysis, the proposed system will lead us to the popularization of social big data analysis.
