A warranty is a contractual obligation incurred by a producer in connection with the sale of a product. The warranty specifies that producer agrees to remedy certain failures in the product sold. There have been many articles dealing with warranties, but they have studied about optimal warranty cost for the warranty period. In this study, an optimal preventive maintenance time interval is computed. The optimal preventive maintenance time interval minimizing warranty cost for the warranty period is discussed. It is assumed that failure rate is increasing and the failure rate after preventive maintenance or corrective maintenance lies between good as new and bad as old.

The methanolic extract of Lysimachiae christinae Herba, which has been used for diuretic, calculi remover and jaundice remedy in oriental countries, was found to possess analgesic and antiinflammatory effect in Freund's complete adjuvant treated rat. From ethyl acetate fraction of the herb a phenyl propanoid isoferulic acid was isolated as an active principle.

The fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum (Polyporaceae) is one of the valuable crude drugs, which has been used clinically in Korea, China, and Japan for a long time as a tonic and sedative, and for the treatment of hepatopathy, chronic hepatitis, nephritis, gastric ulcer, hypertension, arthritis, neurasthenia, insomnia, asthma, and poisoning and chronic bronchitis. Nowadays, this mushroom is used for leukopenia and paid much attention as a home remedy. (omitted)

Database management systems are now used in almost every organization to maintain and utilize important collections of information. Relational DBMSs have a firm theoretical base. However, it lacks important features needed for representing certain critical aspects of an entity. One alternatives to remedy this problem is to adopt the object-oriented approach to the data model development process. In this paper, we tried to show the advantages of object-oriented data model design process for the development of extended relational database schema needed for the integrated plant information system at H. Heavy Industry Co.

Seaweeds are reconsidered as the biofilter and production component in the sustainable seaweed integrated aquaculture system (SSIAS) to .educe the environmental impact of nutrient rich effluent in the coastal ecosystem. Chinese crude drug 'Gye Ji(桂枝)' is listed in Shen-nung-pen-tsao-ching(神農本草經), as the remedy for dispelling pathogenic factor from the exterior of the body by diaphoresis. In Korean, herbals origin of Gye Ji is branch of Cinnamomum cassia. Considering the descriptions in many herbals(本草書), the origin of Gye Ji reported by Su-Ching(蘇敬), Han-Pao-Sheng(韓保昇) and Li -Shin-Chen(李時珍) is regarded as the bark of branch of Cinnamomum cassia.

누락펄스가 발생할 시 PRI 분석을 위한 전형적인 sequence search 알고리즘은 harmonic 문제를 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서 이러한 harmonic 문제를 해결할 수 있는 PRI 분석 알고리즘을 제안한다. 분석해야 할 전체 PRI 범위를 harmonic이 없도록 subband 로 나눈 후, sequence search를 forward 및 backward로 행한다. 전형적인 sequence search 알고리즘에 비하여 제안한 알고리즘의 성능이 증대된다.

This overview is focused on Panax ginseng, one of the most commonly used herbal remedies. The currently available data regarding its clinical efficacy is somewhat confusing, despite the fact that many clinical trials and systematic reviews have been published. The risks of Panax ginseng seem to be only minor. Numerous mechanisms of action have been described. Future studies of this fascinating herbal remedy seem warranted but they should overcome the methodological limitations of the previous research.

This study was performed to evaluate the therapeutic effects of electroacupuncture on the ruminal disorders such as ruminal stony, ruminal impact, and ruminal tympany in dairy cattle. The therapeutic effects of electroacupuncture to ruminal stony and tympany were much better than those by medicaments and the combination of medicaments and electroacupuncture showed the most effective outcome of remedy. However, there was no difference in recovery rate of ruminal impact according to electroacupuncture, and medicaments alon, or combination of acupuncture and medicaments.

Recent trends require that access to the device/equipment information be provided from several locations or anywhere in the enterprise. One example is virtual machine/manufacturing system (VMS) where predictive maintenance is performed both on factory floor and in remote site through internet ［1］. Internet access is increasingly available and affordable, and along with the "internet" is the backbone of modern enterprise data networks. Typical functions of such a system includes monitoring and control for diagnosis and remedy action in realizing preventive maintenance.(omitted)
