A Study on the Nylon Wire Holding and Release Mechanism for Cube Satellites by Applying Constant Holding

  • The non-explosive holding and release mechanism is used to prevent damage to the mission component caused by explosives when the deployment structure for Cube Satellites is separated. However, among the several types available, the non-explosive holding and release mechanism system using nylon wires depend on the nylon wire knot method and tightening power of the worker. Therefore, in this study, we conducted experiments with the operation of a new holding and release mechanism system by conceptualizing the Boa System Dial, which can provide a constant tightening force regardless of worker proficiency and deploying a imitational solar panel. In this study, the process of binding and unbinding with constant tension was recorded while applying the novel non-explosive holding and release mechanism using the Boa System Dial proposed. In addition, required advances are indicated for the application of the proposed system to actual Cube Satellites.

Job Shop에서의 주문 투입 통제 방안 연구 (A Study on the Order Release Method in Job Shop)

  • This paper deals with the order release problem for minimizing weighted earliness and tardiness as well as Work In Process (WIP) in dynamic job shop environments. A newly designed hierarchical order release mechanism is developed for efficient real-time control of the earliness/tardiness and WIP. The hierarchical order release mechanism consists of the order release plan and the order release control which is composed of two procedures. The experimental results show that the proposed order release mechanism is superior to other four order release mechanisms under overall simulation conditions of utilization rate, due-date allowances, and earliness/tardiness cost structures. In addition, the difference of total cost among the four dispatching rules is much more reduced in the proposed order release mechanism than in other release mechanisms.

  • Matrix type silicone rubber devices were designed for long-term implantable drug delivery system. Release controlling agents (RCA), i.e., polypropylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, were employed to control drug release from the devices. The release rate of drug from RCA dispersed silicone matrices was mainly dependent on hydrophilicity-hydrophobicity of drug and RCA. In the case of hydrophilic drug, the release from the RCA dispersed matrix was regulated by swelling kinetics. Especially when the relatively hydrophobic polypropylene glycol was used, swelling control mechanism induced zero-order release kinetics. Whereas, the release of hydrophobic drug was resulted from partition mechanism. The effect of RCA was to increase drug diffusivity.

열선절단형 분리너트식 구속분리장치의 궤도검증을 위한 비행모델 개발 (Development of Flight Model of Segmented Nut Type Holding and Release Mechanism Using Burn Wire Cutting Method for On-orbit Verification)

  • Pyrotechnic devices are widely used for space appendages. However, a cube satellite requirements do not permit the use of explosive pyrotechnic device. A nichrome burn wire release has typically been used for holding and release of deployable appendages of the cube satellite due to its simplicity and low cost. However, relatively low mechanical constraint force and system complexity for application of multi-deployable systems are disadvantages of the conventional mechanism. To overcome these drawbacks, we have developed a segmented nut type holding and release mechanism based on the nichrome burn wire release. The great advantages of the mechanism are much lower shock level and larger constraint force than the conventional mechanism using pyro. Flight model for on-orbit verification was developed and verified through release function test, vibration test and thermal vacuum test.

  • In case of cube satellite, it is difficult to realize the same performance as commercial satellite due to its highly restricted unit accommodation space. To maximize the performance of the cube satellite, design concept considering the multi-function of satellite is required. In this paper, mechanism design of cube satellite which is applicable for the holding and release of multi-deployable structures has been proposed and investigated. In addition, a switch mechanism design for the autonomous system operation just after the cube satellite separation from P-POD has also been proposed. The effectiveness of the mechanism design for holding and release of multi-deployable structures has been demonstrated by EM test of the holding and release mechanism.

  • Non-explosive shockless holding and release mechanism for a nano class small satellite application has been proposed and investigated. The great advantages of the mechanism are a much lower shock level and larger constraint force than the conventional mechanism using pyro and the heating wire cutting mechanism which has been generally applied to the cube satellite program. To investigate the effectiveness of the mechanism design, EM mechanism was developed and tested to verify the basic function of the mechanism. The test results indicate that the proposed mechanism is well functioning as the mechanism design intends.

메타크릴레이트 폴리머로 제조한 겔 제제로부터 케토프로펜의 제어 방출특성 (Controlled Release Properties of Ketoprofen from Methacrylate Polymer Gels)

  • Hydrogels containing ketoprofen were prepared by adding NaOH or $Ca(OH)_2$ solution to Eudragit L, S and Eudispert hv at various concentration. And xerogels were prepared by drying hydrogels. On the other hand, organogels containing ketoprofen were prepared by mixing Eudragit L or S and propylene glycol. Effects of polymer content and base on drug release were investigated using KP V dissolution method. The release rate of ketoprofen from Eudragit L & S hydrogel decreased with increasing in polymer content. And the drug release rate from cal. hydroxide based gels were more decreased than that from sod. hydroxide based gels. At pH 7.2 dissolution medium, e release of ketoprofen from Edispert hv hydrogel followed apparent zero order kinetics. The release of ketoprofen from xerogel involved in simultaneous absorption of water and desorption of ketoprofen via a pH-dependant swelling controlled mechanism. The release of ketoprofen from Eudragit S organogels followed apparent zero order kinetics, providing strong evidence for a surface erosion mechanism.

나프록센이 각인된 생분해성 고분자 기반 다층 바이오소재의 제조 및 약물 방출 특성 (Preparation and Drug Release Properties of Naproxen Imprinted Biodegradable Polymers Based Multi-Layer Biomaterials)

  • 본 연구는 allbanggae starch (ABS), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), alginic acid (SA)를 이용하여 naproxen (NP) 각인 starch 기반 다층 바이오소재를 제조하고, 물리화학적 특성과 약물 방출 제어 효과를 조사하였다. 또한, FE-SEM과 FT-IR 분석에 의해 제조한 다층 바이오소재의 특성을 조사하였다. 약물 방출 제어 효과와 경피 약물 전달 시스템의 적용 가능성을 확인하기 위해 NP 각인 다층 바이오소재로부터 NP 방출 특성을 사람의 체온인 36.5 ℃에서 다양한 pH buffer solution과 인공 피부를 이용하여 확인하였다. NP는 낮은 pH보다 높은 pH에서 1.3배 더 빠른 방출을 나타냈고, single-layer 바이오소재에서보다 multi-layer 바이오소재에서 약 4.0배 느린 방출이 일어남을 확인하였다. 인공 피부 방출에서도 동일하게 single-layer 바이오소재보다 multi-layer 바이오소재에서 약 4.0배 더 느린 약물 방출 결과를 나타내었다. 또한, double-layer와 triple-layer 바이오소재 모두 12시간 동안 지속적으로 NP가 방출되었음을 확인 하였다. NP 방출 mechanism을 규명하기 위해 수학적 모델링에 적용하여 비교했을 때, pH buffer solution에서의 방출은 Fickian diffusion mechanism, 인공 피부 방출은 empirical mechanism에 적합한 것을 확인하였다.

  • 전개형 우주 구조물의 구속 및 분리를 위해 일반적으로 적용되는 폭발식 분리장치의 경우, 극초소형 위성으로 분류되는 큐브위성에는 적용불가가 설계요구조건으로 규정되어있다. 큐브위성의 제한된 장착 공간과 이로 인한 저충격 요구조건, 저가의 개발비 등의 요구조건으로부터 일반적으로 적용이 용이한 나일론선 열선절단방식이 적용되고 있다. 하지만 나일론선 적용에 따른 낮은 체결력과 복수 구조물의 구속/분리를 위해 복수의 체결부와 열선을 필요로 하는 등 시스템 복잡화 및 신뢰도 저하의 문제점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 상기의 문제점 해결을 위해 힌지 구동형 분리너트를 적용한 구속분리장치를 제안하였으며, 인증시험 온도범위에서의 분리장치 동작 기능시험, 정하중 시험, 충격레벨 측정시험을 통해 설계의 유효성을 입증하였다.
