  • Cyclic measurement system using relay circuit for organic light emitting diode (OLED) was demonstrated. The OLED characterization such as current-voltage, impedance, and capacitance-voltage is performed in sequence, repetitively and automatically under full control of the personnel computer (PC) without changing the connection of cables. Owing to in situ degradation by cyclic measurement, the time dependence of the data can give good information on the reliability factor of the OLED devices. Therefore, both performance and reliability of the OLEDs can be evaluated, with no manual operation during the entire process.

  • 철교나 석유비축기지 탱크저판 및 각종 매설관로 등 대부분 철 성분 골조는 시간이 경과하면 주변의 환경에 따라 부식이 급격히 일어난다. 이러한 철강재가 부식되는 철강재가 시설물의 주요 구성물이 되고 있는 시설물의 수명을 크게 단축시키는 주요원인이 되고 있다. 이에 대한 대비책으로 방청도료나 코팅을 이용하는 방법과 달리, 전기적으로 전위차를 같게 하여 부식을 방지하는 전기방식법을 적용함에 있어 방식전류가 불균일한 경우 양극 소모가 불균일함에 따라 교체시기 문제를 극복하기 위해 회로 등가 임피던스 추정 및 RF 릴레이 장착한 TB를 이용한 방식전류제어장치를 개발하였다.

  • Wireless community networks (WCNs) are considered another form of ownership of internet protocol (IP) networks, where community members manage and own every piece of equipment in a decentralized way, and routing for traffic is done in a cooperative manner. However, the current routing protocols for WCNs suffer from stability and scalability issues. In this paper, an enhanced routing protocol is proposed based on the optimized link state routing (OLSR) protocol to meet the standards of efficiency in terms of stability and scalability. The proposed routing protocol is enhanced through two phases: multicasting expansion and multipoint relay (MPR) selection based on an analytical hierarchical process (AHP). The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed routing protocol outperforms the OLSR protocol in terms of network control overhead and packet delivery ratio by 18% and 1% respectively.

  • 765kV substations which will be the core installation of the bulk power transmission system in Korea for the upcoming $21^{st}$ century, were designed of outdoor full GIS type to minimize required area. As principal equipment, main transformers of 2,000 MVA per bank and 50kA 8,000A gas insulated switchgears of up-to-date technology were adopted in designing substations to transmit bulk power of 10GW. Dual digital protective relay systems and distributed indication and control systems with fiber optic LAN were used.

  • The valve device is installed in hazardous areas, such as a chemical plant explosion has been sealed with fire protection device to prevent the risk of explosion. In this paper, due to the explosion-proof devices using external power the device can not be used in infrared sensors and Zigbee sensor valve device by measuring the open degree of valve opening and closing of the danger zone to check whether. Valve opening and closing operation log screen time, we propose a low-power operation monitoring system administrators to manage and control the plant. Develop power control relay board apply an improved algorithm to apply the asynchronous LPL power management. The plant monitoring system and explosion-proof valve opening and closing the valve system with the intelligent device designed and implemented and tested it.

  • This paper presents the switching angle and voltage for maximizing the torque or efficiency and minimizing torque ripple of an 8/6, SRM. The approximate analysis and computer simulation determine the switching angle and voltage by using SIMULINK$^\textregistered$. This is performed as a function of the speed and torque required by the load. From the results, new three facts can be known: First, the maximum torque depends on voltage and speed depends on switching angle. The others, the maximum efficiency and minimum torque ripple relay on switching angle. We control the switching angle and voltage of and asymmetrical inverter for the SRM with one-chip micro controller.

  • This paper proposes a system for reducing the standby power consumption in using the consumer electronic devices such as a television, a home theater, a set-top box, or a DVD player. The system is consisted of a flyback converter, monitoring circuits, a relay and a micro-processor. The proposed system can reduce the standby power consumption by disconnecting the AC input and the consumer devices can be turned on with a remote control. The proposed standby power system consumes the low power to receive the infrared signal from the remote controller. Furthermore, a electronic double layer capacitor is used to store the energy with high efficiency. The proposed power system can operate the 플라이백 converter to charge the electronic double layer capacitor and connect the AC input to the consumer electronic devices. The proposed power circuit can reduce the standby power consumption in AV devices without increasing the cost. The prototype is implemented to verify the system with the commercialized products.

  • In this paper, we proposed to model identification in frequency domain using relay feedback and Design of internal model controller(IMC) with Cascade controller. The parameters of controller in the inner loop are determined to minimize the integral of time multiplied by the absolute value of error (ITAE) value of performance Index. The controller of outer loop and parameters of IMC-PID controller can be obtain using identified model. The model identification is considered that it is the transient response and the steady-state response through the use of nyquist curve. Simulation examples are given to show the better performance of the proposed method than conventional methods.

  • ETRI has successfully completed and delivered to KARI the KOMPSAT Mission Control System. This system was designed to work in the conventional TT&C modulation scheme with the pre-assigned frequencies. As a way to accelerate in catching up with future TT&C technology evolutions, a preliminary study needs to be carried out to prepare for the development of a spread spectrum applicable to TT&C. A brief study was carried out to review some points to be considered in designing and implementing spread spectrum schemes to the ground TT&C system intended for a LEO spacecraft. Also a simulation and link design revisit was performed to see the operational and technical benefits with the KOMPSAT TT&C parameters. An experiment concept is proposed to test as many functions at a time once the prototype is developed. In this configuration, a ground-model TT&C transponder is connected via LAN to the ETRI-developed KOMPSAT S/W simulator and linked to the KOMPSAT TM/TC processing s/w via spread spectrum signals through a GEO satellite bent-pipe link. A satellite data relay link simulation could be carried out in this configuration.

Generation of Robotic Assembly Aequences with Consideration of Line Balancing Using a Simulated Annealing (조립라인의 밸런싱을 고려한 자동 조립 순서 추론)

  • In designing assembly lines, it is required that the lines should not only meet the demand of the product, but also minimize the assembly cost associated with the line. For such a purpose, numerous research efforts have been made on either the assembly sequence generation or the assembly line balancing. However, the works dealing with both the research problems have been seldom reported in literature. When assembly sequences are generated without consideration of line balancing, additional cost may be incurred, because the sequences may not guarantee the minimum number of workstations. Therefore, it is essential to consider line balancing in the generation of cost-effective assembly sequences. To incorporate the two research problems into one, this paper treats a single-model and deterministic (SMD) assembly line balancing (ALB) problem, and proposes a new method for generating line-balanced robotic assembly sequences by using a simulated annealing. In this method, an energy function is derived in consideration of the satisfaction of assembly constraints, and the minimization of both the assembly cost and the idle time. Then, the energy function is iteratively minimized and occasionally perturbed by the simulated annealing. When no further change in energy occurs, an assembly sequence with consideration of line balancing is finally found. To show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, a case study for an electrical relay is presented.
