완화형 강유전체 $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbTiO_3$계에서의 상전이 및 Relaxation 거동 (Phase Transformation and Dielectric Relaxation in $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbTiO_3$ Relaxor Ferroelectrics)

  • 완화형 강유전체인 $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$계의 상전이 주파수의존성을 조사하기 위해 낮은 전계와 높은 전계 하에서 측정된 물성들을 1 Hz부터 100 kHz에 이르는 주파수 범위에서 비교 분석하였다. $-40{\sim}90^{\circ}C$의 상전이 온도범위에 걸쳐 1 V/mm의 낮은 전계에서 측정된 유전특성의 온도의존성을 구하였고, 수 kV/mm의 강전계 하에서 측정된 유전이력곡선의 기울기로부터 계산된 유전상수의 온도의존성 및 초전전류의 온도의존성을 검토하였다. 모든 실험적 결과와 Vogel-Fulcher 관계식은 비교적 잘 일치되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 유전완화현상은 약전계 조건 뿐 아니라 강전계 조건 하에서도 동일한 거동을 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

$^{15}$N NMR Relaxation Study of the Catalytic Residues in Y14F Mutant Ketosteroid Isomerase

  • $^1$H-detected $^{15}$N NMR was employed to investigated the effect of mutation (Y14F) on the dynamic properties of catalytic residues in ${\Delta}^5$-3- ketosteroid isomerase (KSI) from Conamonas testosteroni. In particular, the backbone dynamics of the catalytic residues have been studied in free enzyme and its complex with a steroid ligand, 19-nortestosterone hemisuccinate, by $^{15}$N relaxation measurements. The relaxation data were analyzed using the model-free formalism to extract the model-free parameters (S$^2$, ${\tau}_e$, and R$_{ex}$). The results show that the mutation causes a significant decrease in the order parameter (S$^2$) for the catalytic residues of free Y14F KSI, presumably due to breakdown of the hydrogen bond network by mutation. In addition, the order parameters of Phe-14 and Asp-99 increased slightly upon ligand binding, indicating a slight restriction of the high-frequency (pico- to nanosecond) internal motions of the residues in the complexed Y14F KSI, while the order parameter of Tyr-55 decreased significantly upon ligand binding.

The Role of Nitric Oxidei in Non-Adrenergic Non-Cholinergic Relaxation in the Guinea-Pig Gstric Fundus

  • The role of nitric oxide (NO) in non-adrenegic non-cholinergic (NANC) neurotransmission was studied on circular muscle strips of the dorsal part of the fuinea-pig gastric fundus. In the presence of atropine and guanethidine, a low frequency-dependent relaxsations which were not affected by adrenergic and cholinergic blockage but abolished by tetrodotoxin. $N^G$-nitro-L-arginine (L-NNA), a stereospecific inhibitor of NO-biosynthesis, inhibited the relaxations induced by electrical stiumulations but not the relaxations to exogenous nitric oxide. The effect of L-NNA was prevented by L-arginine, the precursor of the NO biosynthesis but not by its enantiomer, D-arginine. Exgenous administration of No caused concentration -dependent relaxations which showed a similarity to those obtained with electrical simultaion. Hemoglobin, a NOscavenger, abolished the NO-induced relaxations and also markedly reduced those induced by electrical simultaion. The inhibitory effect os hemoglobin was similar to that of L-NNA. Application of ATP caused weak relaxations compared with those to electrical stimultaion, which were unaffected by L-NNA. Exogenously applied vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) induced concentration-dependent relaxation which was not affected by L-NNA. These results suggest that NO is produced and released mainly as a neurotransmitter from enteric neurons during NANC relaxation induced by low frequencies and short trains of electrical simulation and has a main role in NANC neurotransmission at relaxation induced by these electrical simultaions in the guinea-pig gastric fundus.

  • 전해질의 미시 구조분석을 위해서는 이온-이온 및 이온-용매 상호작용을 이해하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 이 총설은 유전체 이완 분광법(Dielectric relaxation spectroscopy)의 기본 원리와, 이를 이용한 전해질 구조 연구 사례를 소개하고자 한다. 유전체 이완 분광법은 임피던스법의 일종으로서, 수십 GHz 수준의 높은 주파수 영역에 걸쳐 전해질의 유전 특성을 측정한다. 이를 통해, 유전체 이완 분광법은 전해질 내 존재하는 다양한 극성 화학 종, 즉, 쌍극자 모멘트(Dipole moment)를 갖는 자유 용매(Free solvent) 및 이온쌍(Ion pair)의 종류와 농도에 대한 정보를 제공한다. 유전체 이완 분광법이 제공하는 정보는 기존 분석 기법(적외선 분광법(Infrared), 라만 분광법(Raman) 및 핵자기 공명 분광법(Nuclear magnetic resonance) 등)이 제공하는 정보들과 상호보완적 관계에 있으며, 이러한 종합적 분석을 통해 전해질 구조에 관한 깊은 이해가 가능하다.

  • Bias and frequency-dependent impedance is a technique for the investigation of complex conductivity. At low frequency, complex impedance is dominated by resistive component, and at high frequency by capacitive component. We are going to present the results of the bias and frequency-dependent complex impedance in the device structure of $ITO/Alq_3/Al$ in the temperature range between 10K and 300k. And we will show to change radius of Cole-Cole plot. It will be decrease resistance by temperature. Also equivalent electrical circuit and dielectric relaxation can be accomplished by using the complex impedance analysis.

거대분자에 부분적으로 결합한 상자성 자기공명 조영제의 회전속도가 이완증강에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Rotational Correlation Time of Paramagnetic Contrast Agents on Relaxation Enhancement: Partial Binding to Macromolecules)

  • Purpose : To evaluate the effect of rotational correlation time (${\tau}_R$) and the possible related changes of other parameters, ${\tau}_M,{\;}{\tau}_S,{\;}and{\;}(\tau}_V$ of gadolinium (Gd) chelate on T1 relaxation enhancement in two pool model. Materials and Methods : The NMRD (Nuclear Magnetic Relaxation Dispersion) profiles were simulated from 0.02 MHz to 800 MHz proton Larmor frequency for different values of rotational correlation times based on Solomon-Bloembergen equation for inner-sphere relaxation enhancement. To include both unbound pool (pool A) and bound pool (pool B), the relaxivity was divided by contribution from unbound pool and bound pool. The rotational correlation time for pool A was fixed at the value of 0.1 ns, which is a typical value for low molecular weight complexes such as Gd-DTPA in solution and ${\tau}_R$ for pool B was changed from 0.1 ns to 20 ns to allow the slower rotation by binding to macromolecule. The fractional factor of was also adjusted from 0 to 1.0 to simulate different binding ratios to macromolecule. Since the binding of Gd-chelate to macromolecule cab alter the electronic environment of Gd ion and also the degree of bulk water access to hydration site of Gd-chelate, the effects of these parameters were also included. Results : The result shows that low field profiles, ranged from 0.02 to 40 MHz, and dominated by contribution from bound pool, which is bound to macromolecule regardless of binding ratios. In addition, as more Gd-chelate bound to macromolecule, sharp increase of relaxivity at higher field occurs. The NMRD profiles for different values of ${\tau}_S$ show the enormous increase of low field profile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by ${\tau}_S$. On the other hand, the change in ${\tau}$V does not affect low field profile but strongly in fluences on both inflection fie이 and the maximum relaxivity value. The results shows a fluences on both inflection field and the maximum relaxivity value. The results shows a parabolic dependence of relaxivity on ${\tau}_M$. Conclusion : Binding of Gd-chelate to a macromolecule causes slower rotational tumbling of Gd-chelate and would result in relaxation enhancement, especially in clinical imaging field. However, binding to macromolecule can change water enchange rate (${\tau}_M$) and electronic relaxation ($T_le$) vis structural deformation of electron environment and the access of bulk water to hydration site of metal-chelate. The clinical utilities of Gd-chelate bound to macromolecule are the less dose requirement, the tissue specificity, and the better perfusion and intravascular agents.

  • As S-nitrosothiols were proposed as nitrergic carriers in vascular and nonvascular smooth muscle, we have investigated the relaxant properties of several S-nitrosothiols in the porcine retractor penis(PRP) muscle and compared them with the effects of exogenously added NO, electrical field stimulation(EFS) of NANC nerves and sodium nitroprusside(SNP). Also the influences of oxyhemoglobin and hydroquinone on the relaxant responses were investigated. In addition, effects of NO on membrane potentials and its involvement in the generation of inhibitory junction potential(IJP) were investigated with conventional intracellular microelectrode technique. The results were summerized as follows. 1. Frequency-dependent relaxations of PRP muscle were induced by EFS to NANC nerve. Tetrodotoxin($1{\times}10^{-6}M$) abolished the relaxations of PRP muscle induced by EFS, and L-NAME(($2{\times}10^{-5}M$) and methylene blue($4{\times}10^{-5}M$) inhibited the relaxations. L-NAME-induced inhibition of the relaxations was reversed by L-arginine($1{\times}10^{-3}M$), but not by D-arginine. 2. Exogenous NO($1{\times}10^{-5}-1{\times}10^{-4}M$), sodium nitroprusside(($1{\times}10^{-7}-1{\times}10^{-4}M$) induced dose-dependent relaxations of PRP muscle. All S-nitrosothiols($1{\times}10^{-7}-1{\times}10^{-4}M$) tested relaxed the PRP muscle in dose-dependent manner and the potency order was SNAP>GSNO>CysNO>SNAC. 3. Oxyhemoglobin($5{\times}10^{-5}M$) blocked the relaxation induced by exogenous NO and inhibited EFS-, S-nitrosothiols-, and SNP-induced relaxation. 4. Hydroquinone($1{\times}10^{-4}M$) also abolished the relaxations induced by exogenous NO, and reduced the relaxations induced by S-nitrosothiols, but did not affect EFS- and SNP-induced relaxations. 5. SNP($2{\times}10^{-6}-5{\times}10^{-6}M$) relaxed muscle strips but the membrane potentials were not affected. 6. EFS with several pulses(1ms, 2Hz, 80V) produced an inhibitory junction potential(IJP) with muscle relaxation. They were abolished by TTX($2{\times}10^{-6}M$). $N^G$-nitro-$_{\small{L}}$-arginine(L-NNA, $2{\times}10^{-5}M$) abolished the muscle relaxation, but had no effect on IJP.

다양한 눈의 특징 분석을 통한 감성 분류 방법 (Emotion Classification Method Using Various Ocular Features)

  • 본 논문에서는 근적외선 카메라를 이용한 눈의 다양한 특징 분석을 통해 감성을 분류하는 방법에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 제안하는 방법은 기존의 유사한 연구와 비교했을 때, 감성 분류를 위해 더 많은 눈의 특징을 사용하였고, 각 특징이 모두 유의미한 정보를 포함하고 있음을 검증하였다. 긍정-부정, 각성-이완의 상반된 감성 유발을 위해 청각 자극을 사용함으로써, 눈의 특징에 끼치는 영향을 최소화하였다. 감성 분류를 위한 특징으로써, 동공 크기, 동공 크기 변화율, 깜박임 빈도, 눈을 감은 지속시간을 사용하였으며, 이들은 근적외선 카메라 영상으로부터 자체 개발한 자동화된 처리 방법을 통해 추출된다. 분석 결과, 각성-이완 감성 유발 자극에 대해서는 동공 크기 변화율과 깜박임 빈도 특징이 유의한 차이를 보였다. 또한, 긍정-부정 감성 유발 자극에 대해에서는 눈을 감은 지속시간 특징이 유의한 차이를 보였다. 특히 동공 크기 특징은 각성-이완, 긍정-부정의 상반된 감성 자극 유발 상황에서 모두 유의한 차이가 없음을 확인할 수 있었다.

다중 사용자 OFDM 시스템의 최적 부채널 및 비트 할당: Dual-Decomposition 방법 (The Optimal Subchannel and Bit Allocation for Multiuser OFDM System: A Dual-Decomposition Approach)

  • OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 전송방식의 장점은 높은 주파수 효율, RF간섭에 대한 강인성, 낮은 다중 경로 왜곡 등을 들 수 있다. 다중 사용자 OFDM의 채널용량을 확대하기 위해서는 사용자간의 부채널과 비트 할당의 효율적인 알고리즘을 개발하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 다중 사용자의 전송요구량을 만족하는 최적 부채널 및 비트 할당 문제를 0-1 정수계획법 모형으로 형성하고, 원래 문제의 선형계획법 완화 (linear programming relaxation)문제를 dual-decomposition과 subgradient 알고리즘을 사용하여 해를 구하는 효과적인 알고리즘을 제시한다. 또한 dual-decomposition으로 구한 목적함수값은 원래 문제의 선형계획법 완화문제의 최적목적함수 간과 동일함을 증명하였다 모의실험을 통하여 다수의 문제에 대하여 원래 문제의 최적 목적항수값에 대한 dual-decomposition으로 구한 하한의 성능을 제시하였다. MQAM (M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation)을 사용하고 3개의 독립적인 Rayleigh 다중 경로로 구성된 주파수 선택적 채널을 가정한 경우 MATLAB을 사용한 모의실험에서 0-1 정수계획 법으로 구한 최적해의 성능을 실험하였다.

에틸렌비닐아세테이트와 선형저밀도폴리에틸렌 박막의 유전특성 (Dielectric Characteristics of EVA and LLDPE Films)

  • In this paper, physical properties and dielectric characteristics of LLDPE and EVA which are used as a blending material to improve PE's performance are studied. LLDPE of 0.92[g/cm3] and EVA with the EVA contents of 12.5[%1 were selected as specimens, and X-ray diffraction(XRD) are used to analysis physical properties. We measured dielectric constant with the frequency range from 20[Hz] to 1 [MHz], applied voltage 6[V] and the temperature from 25[$^{\circ}C$] to 110[$^{\circ}C$]. From XRD, LLDPE has a crystallinity of 53[%] and, 46[%] for EVA. LLDPE has as low tan$\delta$ as of 10$^{-3}$ ~10$^{-4}$ and inflection point near 500[Hz]. At frequency region lower than 500[Hz], tan$\delta$ decreases with frequency and increases with temperature and it is considered to be caused by conductive carriers within specimen. Over 500[Hz], it is the reverse and we thought that it was caused by decrease of relaxation time due to Debye theory, EVA has tan$\delta$with the values of 10$^{-2}$ ~10$^{-3}$ , which is higher than that of LLDPE, and it has inflection point at 60[Hz]. It is shown that Dielectric characteristics of EVA are similar to LLDPE's.
