비정규직 활용이 기업성과에 미치는 과정에 대한 연구: 종업원 역량의 매개효과 (A Study on the Process of Non-regular Workers' Utilization on Firm Performance: The Mediating Effect of Employee Competence)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of employee competence on the relationship between the utilization of non-regular workers and firm performance. Design/methodology/approach - This study utilized 427 firm level data from HCCP. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and the multiple regression analysis were conducted to verify the hypotheses. Findings - We found that the utilization of non-regular workers is not significantly related to firm performance. However, the utilization of non-regular workers had a negative relationship with employee competence, and that employee competence mediated the relationship between the utilization of non-regular workers and firm performance. Research implications or Originality - As environmental uncertainty and competition between firms intensify, more and more firms are utilizing non-regular workers. Research on the relationship between the utilization of non-regular workers and firm performance is continuously conducted, but research on the process of explaining the specific relationship between them is still insufficient. Our study contributes the related research area by identifying the mediating role of employee competence on the utilization of non-regular workers and firm performance relationship.

의료기관 정규직과 비정규직의 직무만족 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Job Satisfaction between Regular and Non-Regular Workers in Hospitals)

  • Background: The purposes of this study is to analysis the differences of the job satisfaction between regular and non-regular workers in hospitals. Methods: The samples used for data analysis are 632 workers of 6 hospitals using a standardized questionnaires in B, C, D, and G provinces. In research methodology, all the data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson's correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: In case of regular workers, communication, working conditions and employee benefit, and education were found to have a significant positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. In case of non-regular workers, empowerment, reward systems, communication, working conditions, and employee benefit had a significant positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. Conclusion: These results showed that hospitals needed to reinforce communication, working conditions and employee benefit to regular and non-regular workers in order to improve job satisfaction. Especially, more empowerment, working conditions, and employee benefit should be given to non-regular workers.

외환위기 이후 가구주의 종사상지위 변화유형이 가계소득증감여부에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Worker Status Change Type of the Household Heads on Household Income Since Korean Financial Crisis-excel)

  • This study examined the effects of household head’s worker status change type on household income and household head’s income using a total combined sample of 2,578 households from Korea surveyed in 1998 and 2002 KLIPS(Korean Labor and Income Panel Study). Binary logit regression results showed that household incomes were likely to decrease significantly when household head’s changed worker status from a regular employee, a temporary employee or a daily worker, or an employer or a self-employed to no job status, or from a regular employee to a temporary employee or a daily worker, an employer or a self-employed, or from an employer or a self-employed to a regular employee compared to a regular employee status maintenance. In contrast, household head’s incomes were likely to increase significantly when household head’s changed worker status from a temporary to a regular employee compared to a regular employee status maintenance. Women household heads were significantly associated with the likelihood of the decrease of household head’s income compared to men household heads. Household heads beyond their forties were significantly associated with the likelihood of the decrease of household head’s income compared to household heads in their thirties age-group counterparts. Household heads with education level beyond high school graduation were significantly associated with the likelihood of the increase of household head’s income compared to household heads with the education level of high school graduation. This study shows that a more comprehesive labor policy is needed for achieving sustainable household income inflow.

호텔 정규직과 비정규직 종사원의 조직 특성요인이 직무 만족 및 조직 몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Organizational Characteristics on Job Satisfactionand Organizational Commitment in Hotel Regular & Non-regular Employees)

  • This study is intended to identify how the organizational factors of hotel employees influence their job satisfaction and organizational commitment by the type of employment. Samples used for data analysis are 452 workers working for hotel companies including 276 regular employees and 176 non-regular employees. The results are as follows: first, the job satisfaction of regular employees is generally higher than that of non-regular employees. Second, the degree of affective and continuous commitment showed significant difference by the type of employment, but normative commitment did not. Third, according to the result of how job satisfaction influences organizational commitment, the job satisfaction of non-regular employees alone is not affected by the relationship of senior officers and coworkers.

  • This study is perform to improve the current point at issue of the non-regular employees, comparing the safety and health consciousness of between the regular employees and non-regular employees in manufacturing factory. The investigation is carried out using the statistical analysis. The study presents that most of the non-regular employees answer in the negative the current job satisfaction, work load, work risk, concern on the safety and health, education, occupational safety and health system than the regular employees. For the improvement of these problems, the government's safety and health policy should be changed and acknowledgement of the employer and employee on the safety and health should be improved.

The effect of beauty salon service quality on behavioral intention through perceived value : Gender, Regularity control effect

  • Purpose: As the untact culture has spread due to the recent COVID-19, the service industry as well as the beauty salon is shrinking. In order to overcome such a crisis in beauty salons, the lower dimension of beauty salon service quality is divided into servicescape, technical service, and employee service, and actions are taken with the 'perceived value of the customer' as a parameter. In this study, S-O-R(Stimulus-Organism-Response) theory was applied for customer-centered analysis, and gender and regularity were selected as moderator variables to add practical implications. Research design, data, and methodology: All constructs were measured using items developed and used in the previous study. A total of 261 questionnaires were collected online using NaverForm. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, correlation analysis, and measurement model analysis with SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. After testing the research model and hypothesis for the entire group, a multi-group analysis was conducted by dividing into male and female groups, regular customers, and non-regular customers. Results: First, this study showed that the service environment of beauty salon customers had a negative (-) effect on perceived utilitarian value, and the technical service and perceived hedonic value had a positive (+) effect on the customer's behavioral intention. Technical service and employee service had a positive (+) effect on perceived hedonic value, but perceived hedonic value did not affect customer's behavioral intention. Second, there is no statistically significant difference in each path between male and female groups. Third, there was a statistically significant difference between regular customers and non-regular customers, only the path that the servicescape influences the perceived hedonic value. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, technical service and utilitarian value should be considered in order to induce behavioral intention of customers, and technical service quality should be considered first. Also, operating a beauty salon requires a differentiated approach to the salon servicescape according to the ratio of non-regular and regular customers. The beauty salon servicescape generally showed negative practical value for non-regular customers, but positive for the Hedinic value for servicescape such as comfortable service and clean interior for regular customers.

고용 형태가 위탁급식 업체 조리종사자의 급식 안전사고 인식에 미치는 영향 (Research on Actual Workplace Safety Accidents and Recognition of Workplace Safety by Employment Types of Contracted Foodservice Management Company)

  • The purpose of this study was to reduce safety accidents among food employees in contracted foodservice management companies, and to help provide high-quality foodservice and assistance. For this, a survey on the different opinions of workplace safety and education by employment type and employee perceptions of environment and safety at foodservice operations was carried out. The analysis showed that among the workers many women were irregular employees. For average age, between 40 and 49 was the most frequent, and for work duration, under one year was highest. Both regular employees and irregular employees deemed "enough staff" as the most major factor for good foodservice. The regular employees and irregular employees thought "high indoor temperatures and poor ventilation in the kitchen area" and "bad work cooperation between employees" as the main problems of foodservice operations, respectively. For satisfaction with the efficiency of foodservice production system, irregular employees had higher satisfaction than regular employees. Both regular employees and irregular employees thought "the number of foodservice employees" as the foremost improvement for safety-accident prevention and work-stress improvements. Regular employees, more than irregular employees, thought improvements in foodservice production systems would have a large affect on safety-accident prevention and work-stress improvements of food workers. Both regular employees and irregular employees thought "foodservice employees' safety consciousness" was an important part of safety-accident prevention. Likewise, they responded that "lectures by the person in charge of safety education" was a good methods of safety education, and "once a month" was the best period for safety education. For the difference in perceptions of environment and safety in foodservice systems, regular employees had a higher perception of safety than irregular employees.

호텔종사원의 고용불안이 신뢰에 미치는 영향 -특급호텔 식음료부서 종사원을 중심으로- (Influence of Job Insecurity to Trusts of Hotel Employee - Focus on Employee of F&B Department-)

  • 호텔은 인적자원의존도가 대단히 높은 기업이다. 종사원의 고용불안은 숙련된 종사원의 이직불안으로 연결된다. 경영환경이 복잡하고 불확실할수록 조직을 유지 발전시키기 위해서는 호텔기업이 종사원으로부터 신뢰를 얻어야 하며, 조직에 대한 종사원의 신뢰 역시 중요하다. 본 연구는 관광기업 중에서도 고용불안인식이 비교적 높은 특급호텔 식음료업장 종사원의 고용불안인식과 조직 내 신뢰수준을 확인하고 고용불안이 신뢰에 미치는 영향측정을 연구목적으로 한다. 고용불안은 신뢰에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가설 검증결과에서 고용불안이 동료신뢰와 회사신뢰에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 단지 해고위험요인만이 상사신뢰에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 해고위험이 있다고 하더라도 동료와의 신뢰에는 아무런 상관이 없다고 볼 수 있으며, 회사신뢰의 경우도 회사는 해고의 결정권자로서 해고의 직접적인 원인으로 보지는 않는다고 여겨진다. 다만 회사직원들은 해고위험과 관련하여 직접 현장에서 같이 근무하는 직장상사의 근무평가나 관계가 해고로 이어질 수 있다고 여기고 있는 것으로 유추할 수 있을 것이다. 고용불안인식에 대한 비정규직종사원, 정규직 종사원간 차이는 나타나지 않았다.

중년층의 은퇴설계 및 노후 경제적 준비 여부에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors that Influence Middle-aged People's Retirement Planning and Financial Preparation for Old Age)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence middle-aged people's retirement planning and financial preparation for old age. The data was derived from "the National Survey of Families 2015". The samples included 1,462 people from 40 to 64 years of age. The findings from the analysis showed that the level of retirement planning was significantly associated with gender, age, education level, employment status, monthly family income, monthly expenditure on spending to support parents, and perceived household economic condition. When the samples were divided by sex, the results showed that the perceived household economic condition was the most significant factor for both men and women's level of retirement planning. Age and education level were the significant factors for women's level of retirement planning but not for men's. Logistic regression was used to analyze whether middle-aged people made financial preparation for old age. For the whole sample, whether or not a person was a regular employee, monthly family income, monthly expenditure on supporting parents, perceived household economic condition, and retirement planning were significant variables in determining financial preparation. For men, whether or not a person was a regular employee, monthly family income, perceived household economic condition, and retirement planning were significant factors, for women whether or not a person was a regular employee, and retirement planning were the significant factors in determining financial preparation. The results implied that retirement planning is needed for middle-aged people to prepare for old age financially while the financial preparation should differ depending on sex.

6 - Sigma 경영혁신기법 시행에 따른 방사선과 내부고객만족도의 변화 (The change of Employee Satisfaction in Radiology Department by Applying 6 Sigma Method)

  • Background : The concept of 'service' in a hospital is based on the quality of medical staffs who serve as customer-satisfying media, and this is what distinguishes general hospitals from other business corporations in which customer satisfaction is achieved through commercial products. Thus, the internal employee satisfaction is essential in the improvement of the 'service' and subsequent 'competitiveness' of a hospital. The purpose of this study is to establish internal marketing strategies for a general hospital through regular surveys on employee satisfaction. Method : Surveys on employee satisfaction in radiology department were conducted regularly twice a year in a university hospital with 800 beds 2001 in 2004. The subjects of this study were 35 employees who work in radiology department. The authors developed the questionnaires and the surveys were conducted initially during the first 6 months of the year. After necessary improvements were made by applying 6 Sigma techniques, subsequent surveys were conducted during the latter 6 months of the year and the degree of employee satisfaction was compared. Results : Overall satisfaction increased with a constant rate and the authors were able to assess that the hospital is being gradually stabilized. The degree of satisfaction assessed by multiple choices showed only minor changes. However, as a result of focusing on the demands put forth by the employees through the open questions, the degree of satisfaction increased gradually year after year. Conclusions : It is important to heighten the internal employee satisfaction systematically and harmoniously through the assessment on the demands of the internal customers and feedback-based communications between the management officers and the staffs. Continuous surveys on the internal employee satisfaction will serve to be valuable materials in the establishment of internal marketing strategies for a general hospital.
