地理 敎育課程의 再脈絡化 (Recontextualizing geography curriculum:society;student and discipline of geography)

  • 본 논문에서는 우선 地理敎育課程의 개발 및 계획의 방향을 설정하는데 결정적인 영향을 미치는 거시적 지표들 즉 교육과정 locator를 찾아 지리교육과정을 맥락화할 수 있는 틀을 구축한 다음, locator들 의 변화된 양상들을 고려함으로써 지리교육과정의 재맥락화 즉 미래의 방향 탐색을 시도해 보았다. 이를위해 Dewey, Tyler, Cirricione & Decarolie로 이어온 교육과정구성에 대한 아 이디어 즉 교육과정의 전반적 성격을 규정지우고 교육과정의 변화를 가늠하는데 유용한 거 시적 지표로서 학생, 사회, 교과(subject)를 사용한다는 아이디어를 근거로 하여, 이 세가지 요인들을 地理敎育課程이라는 敎科敎育課程의 측면에서 보아 학생, 사회, 지리학으로 재정리 하여 지리교육과정의 좌표(locator)로 활용하였다. 먼저 지리 교육과정의 좌표들에서 나타난 변화의 양상들을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육과정 좌표로서 사회와 관련된 변화의 양 상이다. 국제화 및 세계화, 정보화, 과학화는 한편으로 현대인의 일상생활에 과학과 기술이 보다 강력한 영향을 미치는 사회를, 다른 한편으로 에너지문제, 환경문제, 인구문제등의 인 류사회의 문제가 특정 지역의 문제이자 세계의 문제로 등장하는 사회를 등장시켰다. 이러한 변화는 사회적 변화에서 야기되는 문제 및 쟁점들을 사회와 학생 그리고 학문을 즉각적으로 연결시켜, 학문의 관심이자 사회적 관심으로서 연구되고 학습되어 질 것을 요구하고 있다. 둘째, 학생과 관련된 측면에서의 변화를 보면, 특히 사회적인 측면과 맞물려, 내용에 있어서 형평성과 접근성의 향상 특히 개인적, 사회적 유관적합성에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 학 습에서는 학습자를 수동적인 교수내용의 수용자로 보지않고 스스로 의미를 구성해나가는 적 극적인 행위자로 보는 구성주의(constructivism)는 그동안 교수-학습에 대한 중심적 견해인 전달주의(transmissionism)를 극복하는데 좋은 이론적 배경을 제시하고 있다. 다음으로 학문 적 측면의 변화를 보면, 학문 연구에 있어서 인식론적 토대의 다양화와 학문과 사회와의 관 계가 강조되는 지식사회학의 등장은 학문이나 과학을 고정적이거나 독단적인 최종적 산물로 보지않고 절대적 진리에 도달하기위한 유연한 도구이자 정신활동으로 보게함으로써, 주제 및 연구방법에서 획일성보다 다양성과 창조성이 강조되고 있다. 그리고 연구에 있어서 주제 의 다양성을 통해 보다 현실생활에 밀접하게 연결되어야 할 필요성은 학문이나 과학의 사회 성에 대한 새로운 인식을 가져다 주고 있다. 이러한 지리교육과정의 좌표의 변화된 측면들 을 고려하여, 지리교육과정의 새로운 방향은 다음의 세가지로 모색될 수 있다. 첫째, 爭點中 心 地理敎育課程이다. 사회쟁점에 대한 접근은 쟁점의 이해와 문제해결에의 지리적 관점의 활용을 통해 학습내용의 시사성과 사실성을 높힐 수 있다. 이때 문제해결능력을 통해 현대 시민의 자질 및 능력을 기를 수 있음은 물론, 다른 한편으로 실제세계 즉 학생의 실생활, 사 회, 국가, 세계에서 일어나는 일들과의 관련성을 갖게 함으로써, 내적 동기화와 외적인 자극 을 강력하게 결합할 수 있을 것이다. 이는 개인적 유관적합성과 사회적 유관적합성을 동시 에 확보하는 데 유리할 것이다. 둘째, 思考中心 地理敎育課程이다. 지리교육은 학생들을 지 식 및 기능의 숙달자가 되도록 할 것이 아니라 기본적 문장해독력의 수준을 넘어 능력있는 사고자로 길러내는 것을 목표로 하여야 한다. 이러한 사고자로서 학습자를 보는 관점은 구 성주의를 그 이론적 토대로 삼을 수 있다. 셋째, 衡平性과 接近性을 제고하는 地理敎育課程 이다. 학생들에게 일생동안 그들의 삶을 통해 그리고 그들의 삶을 위해 지리적으로 질문을 계속 던질 수 있는 능력, 그리고 그렇게 하려는 욕구를 길러주고 주입시켜 줄 수 있는 측면 이 중요하게 고려되어야 한다. 보다 유의미하고 창조적인 지리학습은 지리적 지식 그 자체 라기보다 학생들의 매일의 생활 및 미래 생활에 대한 지리적 견해와 관점, 그리고 그에 대 한 개인적인 지리 연구(탐구)방법을 갖도록 하는 것이다. 결국, 지리교육은 단순히 지리적 지식의 요구량을 증대시키는 것이 아니라 학생들로 하여금 그들의 삶속에서 하나의 과학으 로서 지리학을 활용하는 능력을 증대시키도록 함으로써 그 교육적 의미를 회복하는 것이다. 이때 지리교육과정은 지리교육에 영향을 미치는 학생, 사회, 학문의 세가지 측면들을 균형있 게 반영하게 될 것이다.

탐색, 갈등, 도전, 그리고 변화 -물리교과교육 수업을 위한 한 교사교육자의 셀프스터디- (Exploration, Conflicts, Challenges, and Changes: A Teacher Educator's Self-Study for Secondary School Physics Instruction Course)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 지방소재 교사양성대학에서 근무하는 교사교육자인 '나'와 비판적 동료 3인이 셀프스터디를 통해 '나'와 나의 강의에 대해 심도 있게 성찰하고, 비판적 동료와의 협력적 검토를 바탕으로 나의 강의 개선을 시도하는 데에 있다. 2015년 예비 실행을 거쳐 2016년 3월부터 4학년 17명이 참여하는 교과교육 강의를 중심으로 본 연구를 수행하였다. 11주간 약 40시간의 강의를 촬영하였으며 강의자인 나의 반성적 저널, 예비교사의 강의 평가 자료, 온라인 게시판 내용 등을 토대로 강의 전반에 대한 자료를 수집하였다. 또 학생들을 대상으로 2차례에 걸쳐 설문을 실시하였고 강의 참여 일지를 작성하도록 하였다. 4명을 포커스 그룹으로 선정하여 면담을 진행하였다. 비판적 동료 3인은 강의 시작 전부터 연구의 방향과 분석 방법에 대하여 협의하였으며, 학기 중에는 매주 1회 해당 강의 녹화 자료를 분석하고 학생들의 반응, 강의 개선 방향 등에 대하여 함께 논의하였다. 강의 실행의 과정은 실행의 목적에 따라 크게 탐색, 갈등, 도전, 변화의 4가지 국면으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 구체적으로 보면 첫째, 교사교육자로서 '나'는 '연구자로서의 나', '강의자로서의 나', '대학 행정관리자로서의 나'라는 다중적인 역할을 수행하고 있었고 종종 이들 사이에 갈등이 나타났다. 둘째, 강의자와 학습자 사이에 교과교육 강의의 필요성과 가치 등에 대한 인식 차이가 있음을 발견하였으며, 이것이 강의를 진행하는 데 있어 큰 어려움이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 자신의 실행을 의도적으로 비판적 시각에서 관찰하여 '나'의 인식의 확장을 유발하였고, 강의에서는 '나'와 예비교사들의 소통과 협력적 실행으로 연결되었다. 그리고 비판적 동료와 함께 한 셀프 스터디는 '나'의 실행과 관련된 신념, 개인적 고민이나 갈등을 공동의 성찰 대상으로 끌어올려 각자의 시각과 대안을 지속적으로 교환하면서 균형 잡힌 해석과 연구 방향을 탐색하도록 하였다. 이를 통해 교사 교육자인 '우리'를 이해하는 틀을 제공하였다.

동남광산에서 발견된 신종광물 Zn­란시아이트(치무석) (Chimooite, a New Mineral from Dongnam Mine, Korea)

  • 강원도 정선군의 동남광산에서 란시아이트(rancieite)의 Zn­단종인 신종광물이 발견되어 이 광물에 대하여 '치무석'(Chimooite)으로 명명하고 그 광물학적 특성을 보고하고자 한다. 치무석은 캄브리아기의 풍촌석회암층을 남북 내지는 북동 방향으로 관입한 능망간석과 황화광물로 형성된 열수광맥의 표층산화대의 산화망간 광물 중에서 발견되었다. 주로 미립의 판상 또는 침상 결정의 집합체로 산출되며, 큰 것은 약 0.2 mm까지 달하나 대부분 0.05 mm이하의 미세 결정체로 산출된다. 한 입자 내에서 중심부의 치무석에서 외각부의 란시아이트로 화학조성이 점이적으로 변한다. 치무석은 푸른빛을 띠는 흑색의 구상 또는 괴상의 집합체로 무광이며 흑갈색의 조흔색을 보인다. 한 방향의 뚜렷한 벽개를 가지며, 경도는 2.5∼4이다. 반사현미경 하에서 치무석은 이방성이며 복굴절을 보여 적갈색의 내부반사색을 보인다. 치무석의 전자현미분석 시 분석위치에 따라 다양한 CaO와 ZnO의 분석값을 보이는데 이로 미루어 치무석과 란시아이트는 양이온 치환에 의한 완전고용체임을 알 수 있다. 치무석의 실험식은 7 $\AA$ 층상구조형 산화망간광물의 일반식인 $R_2_{x}$ $_Mn^{4+}$ $_{9­x}$ $O_{18}$ $.$n$H_2O$(x=0.81∼1.28, 평균 1.0)에 따라 계산하면(Z $n_{0.78}$$Na_{0.15}$C $a_{0.08}$M $g_{0.01}$ $K_{0.01}$)($Mn^{4+}$ $_{3.98}$F $e^{3+}$ $_{0.02}$)$_{4.00}$ $O_{9}$ $.$3.85$H_2O$가 되며, 이상적으로는(Zn,Ca)$Mn^{4+}$ $_4$ $O_{9}$ $.$3.85$H_2O$로 나타낼 수 있다. 이는 통상적인 스토이키오메트리 조성식인 $_Mn_4^{4+}$ $O_{9}$ $.$4$H_2O$와 잘 일치함을 알 수 있다. 치무석은 육방정계이고 단위포는 a=2.840 $\AA$, c=7.486 $\AA$이며 a:c = 1:2.636이다. 시차열분석에 의하면 65, 180, 690 and 102$0^{\circ}C$에서 흡열반응을 보인다. 적외선 흡수분광분석에 의하면 445, 500, 1630 and 3400 $cm^{1}$의 파장에서 흡수대가 나타난다.다.서 흡수대가 나타난다.다.다.

질소(窒素) 시비수준(施肥水準)에 따른 벼 군락내(群落內) 광환경변화(光環境變化)와 생육(生育)과의 관계(關係)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Relationship between Light Environment and Crop Growth under Various Nitrogen Application Rates Condition in Rice Plant Canopy)

  • 벼 군락내(群落內)에서 光收支分布(광수지분포)와 벼 생육특성(生育特性)을 밝히기 위(爲)하여 통일형품종(統一型品種)인 래경(來敬)과 자포니카인 황금청(黃金晴)을 공시(供試)하여 질소시비료수준(窒素施肥料水準)을 6, 10, 14, 18kg/10a 으로 달리하여 벼 군락(群落)의 생육상태(生育狀態)의 차이(差異)를 주어 생육시기별로(生育時期別) 군락내(群落內) 광분포(光分布)와 광흡수량(光吸收量)에 따른 군락(群落)의 변화(變化)와 생육(生育)과의 관계(關係)를 조사분석(調査分析)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1) 래경(來敬)과 황금청(黃金晴)이 엽면적지수(葉面積指數)의 품종간차이(品種間差異)는 래경(來敬)이 황금청(黃金晴)보다 높았고 질소시비료수준(窒素施肥料水準)에 따라서 크게 증가(增加)하였으나 황금청(黃金晴)은 N 14kg/10a까지만 급격(急激)히 증가(增加)하였다. 2) 건물중(乾物重) 증가(增加) 이앙후(移秧後)20일(日) 까지는 품종간(品種間) 질소시비수준간(窒素施肥水準間) 차이(差異)를 보이지 않았지만 그 이후(以後)는 질소시비반응(窒素施肥反應)의 품종간(品種間) 차이(差異)를 보였는데 래경(來敬)이 황금청(黃金晴)보다 건물생산량(乾物生産量)이 많았다. 3) 벼 군락(群落)의 반사률(反射率)은 이앙직후(移秧直後)에는 수면반사률(水面反射率)과 비슷한 6%였고 생육(生育)이 진전(進展)됨에 따라 증가하다가 출수기(出穗期)에 20% 정도(程度)로서 최고(程度)에 달하였다. 4) 엽면적지수(葉面積指數)가 비슷할 때 군락반사률(群落反射率)의 품종(品種)간 차이(差異)가 인정(認定)되었으며, 래경(來敬)이 황금청(黃金晴)보다 평균(平均) 1% 정도(程度) 높았다. 5) 벼 군락내(群落內)에서 광감쇠계수(光減衰係數)(K)는 $0.23{\sim}0.37$의 범위(範圍)였으며 래경(來敬)이 황금청(黃金晴)보다 낮았다. 질소시비수준(窒素施肥水準)의 증가(增加) 따라 엽면적지수(葉面積指數)는 증가(增加)하였고 광감쇠계수(光減衰係數) 감소(減少)하였다. 6) 벼 군락(群落)의 흡광량(吸光量)은 광감쇠계수(光減衰係數)가 낮은 래경(來敬)이 황금청(黃金晴)에 비하(比)여 많았다. 7) 흡광량(吸光量)에 따른 건물생산(乾物生産)은 직선적(直線的)으로 증가(增加)하는 경향(傾向)이었으며 질소시비수준(窒素施肥水準)이 높아짐에 따라 건물중(乾物重)도 증가(增加)하였다. 품종별(品種別) 건물중증가(乾物重增加) 특성(特性)은 질소시비수준(窒素施肥水準)이 6kg/10a에서는 서로 차이(差異)가 없었으나 N, 18kg/10a수준(水準)에서는 래경(來敬)이 황금청(黃金晴)에 비(比)하여 높았다.

관심 문자열 인식 기술을 이용한 가스계량기 자동 검침 시스템 (Automatic gasometer reading system using selective optical character recognition)

  • 본 연구에서는 모바일 기기를 이용하여 획득한 가스계량기 사진을 서버로 전송하고, 이를 분석하여 가스 사용량 및 계량기 기물 번호를 인식함으로써 가스 사용량에 대한 과금을 자동으로 처리할 수 있는 응용 시스템 구조를 제안하고자 한다. 모바일 기기는 일반인들이 사용하는 스마트 폰에 준하는 기기를 사용하였으며, 획득한 이미지는 가스 공급사의 사설 LTE 망을 통해 서버로 전송된다. 서버에서는 전송받은 이미지를 분석하여 가스계량기 기물 번호 및 가스 사용량 정보를 추출하고, 사설 LTE 망을 통해 분석 결과를 모바일 기기로 회신한다. 일반적으로 이미지 내에는 많은 종류의 문자 정보가 포함되어 있으나, 본 연구의 응용분야인 가스계량기 자동 검침과 같이 많은 종류의 문자 정보 중 특정 형태의 문자 정보만이 유용한 분야가 존재한다. 본 연구의 응용분야 적용을 위해서는 가스계량기 사진 내의 많은 문자 정보 중에서 관심 대상인 기물 번호 및 가스 사용량 정보만을 선별적으로 검출하고 인식하는 관심 문자열 인식 기술이 필요하다. 관심 문자열 인식을 위해 CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) 심층 신경망 기반의 객체 검출 기술을 적용하여 이미지 내에서 가스 사용량 및 계량기 기물번호의 영역 정보를 추출하고, 추출된 문자열 영역 각각에 CRNN (Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network) 심층 신경망 기술을 적용하여 문자열 전체를 한 번에 인식하였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 관심문자열 기술 구조는 총 3개의 심층 신경망으로 구성되어 있다. 첫 번째는 관심 문자열 영역을 검출하는 합성곱신경망이고, 두 번째는 관심 문자열 영역 내의 문자열 인식을 위해 영역 내의 이미지를 세로 열 별로 특징 추출하는 합성곱 신경망이며, 마지막 세 번째는 세로 열 별로 추출된 특징 벡터 나열을 문자열로 변환하는 시계열 분석 신경망이다. 관심 문자열은 12자리 기물번호 및 4 ~ 5 자리 사용량이며, 인식 정확도는 각각 0.960, 0.864 이다. 전체 시스템은 Amazon Web Service 에서 제공하는 클라우드 환경에서 구현하였으며 인텔 제온 E5-2686 v4 CPU 및 Nvidia TESLA V100 GPU를 사용하였다. 1일 70만 건의 검침 요청을 고속 병렬 처리하기 위해 마스터-슬레이브 처리 구조를 채용하였다. 마스터 프로세스는 CPU 에서 구동되며, 모바일 기기로 부터의 검침 요청을 입력 큐에 저장한다. 슬레이브 프로세스는 문자열 인식을 수행하는 심층 신경망으로써, GPU에서 구동된다. 슬레이브 프로세스는 입력 큐에 저장된 이미지를 기물번호 문자열, 기물번호 위치, 사용량 문자열, 사용량 위치 등으로 변환하여 출력 큐에 저장한다. 마스터 프로세스는 출력 큐에 저장된 검침 정보를 모바일 기기로 전달한다.

경북(慶北) 봉화군(奉化郡) 장군광산산(將軍鑛山産) 신종광물(新種鑛物) 장군석(將軍石)에 대(對)한 광물학적(鑛物學的) 연구(硏究) (Janggunite, a New Mineral from the Janggun Mine, Bonghwa, Korea)

  • 경북(慶北) 봉화군(奉化郡) 소재(所在) 장군광산(將軍鑛山)의 표성산화(表成酸化)망간광석중(鑛石中)에서 필자(筆者)에 의(依)하여 발견명명(發見命名)된 신종건물(新種鍵物) 장군석(將軍石)은 국제(國際) 광물학회내연합(鑛物學會內聯合)에 있는 "신종광물(新種鑛物) 및 광물명위원회(鑛物名委員會)"의 공인(公認)을 받았는바 이에 대(對)한 광물학적(鑛物學的)인 연구결과(硏究結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. (1) 장군석(將軍石)은 표성산화(表成酸化)망간 광석중(鑛石中) cementation zone에서 산출(産出)되며, 엔소타이트, 토도로카이트, 방해석(方解石)을 수반(隨伴)한다. 대체로 공동(空洞)에서 수기상(樹技狀) 또는 방사상(放射狀)을 이루는 엽편상(葉片狀) 세립집합체(細粒集合體)(입자(粒子)의 크기 <0.05mm)로 또는 교질상대(膠質狀帶)로 산출(産出)한다. (2) 색(色)은 흑색(黑色)이며 광택(光澤)은 무염(無艶), 조흔(條痕)은 흑갈(黑褐)~암갈(暗褐色)이다. 벽개(劈開)는 한방향(方向)으로 완전(完全)하다. 경도(硬度)(H)=2-3이며 역쇄성(易碎性)이다. 비중(比重)(G)=3.59(실측시(實測植)), 3.58이론치(理論値)이다. (5) 화학분석치(化學分析値)로부터 계산(計算)된 장군석(將軍石)의 화학식(化學式)은 $Mn^{4+}{_{4.85}}(Mn^{2+}{_{0.90}}Fe^{3+}{_{0.30}})_{1.20}O_{8.09}(OH)_{5.91}$이며, 이상식(理想式)은 $Mn^{4+}{_{5-x}}(Mn^{2+},\;Fe^{3+}){_{1+x}}O_8(OH)_6$ ($x{\approx}0.2$)이다. (6) 장군석(將軍石)은 사방정사 속(屬)하며 X선(線) 분말회절분석(粉末廻折分析) 결과(結果), 단위포(單位胞)의 크기는 $a=9.324{\AA}$, $b=14.05{\AA}$, $c=7.956{\AA}$이며, 단위포(單位胞)의 체적(體積)은 $1042.25{\times}10^{-24}cm$이다. 보솔(輔率) a : b : c=0.663 : 1 : 0.566. 단위포함유수(單位胞含有數) (Z)=4. (7) 시차열분석곡선(示差熱分析曲線)은 $250{\sim}370^{\circ}C$$955^{\circ}C$에서 흡열(吸熱)피크를 보여준다. 전자(前者)는 장군석(將軍石)이 탈수(脫水) 및 산화(酸化)를 받아 $(Mn,\;Fe)_2O_3$이 생성(生成)된데 기인(基因)하며 후자(後者)는 hausmannite 형(型)의 구조(構造)를 갖는 $(Mn,\;Fe)_3O_4$의 생성(生成)에 기인(基因)하는 것이다. $(Mn,\;Fe)_2O_3$는 등보정사이고 $a=9.417{\AA}$이었고 $(Mn,\;Fe)_3O_4$는 정방정사이고 $a=5.76{\AA}$, $c=9.51{\AA}$이었다. (6) 장군석(將軍石)의 적외선흡수분광(赤外線吸收分光)스펙트럼은 $515cm^{-1}$$545cm^{-1}$에서 Mn-O stretching 진동(振動)을, $1025cm^{-1}$에서 O-H bending 진동(振動)을 그리고 $3225cm^{-1}$에서 O-H stretching 진동(振動)을 보여준다. (3) 장군석(將軍石)은 불투명광물(不透明鑛物)이며 현미경하(顯微鏡下)에서 반사도(反射度)는 13~15%이고 복반사율(複反射率)은 공기중(空氣中)에서 현저(顯著)하며 침액중(浸液中)에서 강(强)하다. 반사다색성(反射多色性)은 백색(白色)~담회색(淡灰色)이다. 십자(十字)니콜하(下)에서의 편광색(偏光色)은 공기중(空氣中)에서 청색(靑色)을 띈 황갈(黃褐)~회색(灰色)이고 침액중(浸液中)에서는 黃褐(황갈)~청갈(靑褐)~회색(灰色)이다. 내부반사(內部反射)는 없다. (4) 연마면(硏磨面)에 대(對)한 에칭반응(反應)은 HCl(conc.)와 $H_2SO_4+H_2O_2$ 회색(灰色), 퇴색(褪色), SnCl(sat.): 암색(暗色), $HNO_3$ (conc.) : 회색(灰色), $H_2O_2$ : 거품을 내며 퇴색(褪色). (9) 신종광물(新種鑛物) 장군석(將軍石)은 독특(獨特)한 화학조성(化學組成)과 단위포(單位胞)를 가지고 있어서 이의 발견(發見)은 산화(酸化)망간광물(鑛物)의 분류(分類)와 연구(硏究)에 새로운 방향(方向)과 지침(指針)이 되었다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure.
