통근·통학형 자전거 이용시설 평가지표 개발 (A Development of the Evaluation Criteria for Bicycle's Facilities of Attending Work and School Trip)

  • 본 연구는 통근 통학시 자전거 이용환경 평가할 수 있는 평가모형을 개발하여 평가지표를 통해서 현재 자전거 이용환경을 평가하고 향후 개선사항 및 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 평가지표 개발방향은 자전거 이용자들의 필요성, 새로운 정책 반영, 종합 평가지표 구축, 관련연구 검토와 같이 크게 4가지 측면에서 통근 통학 자전거 이용환경 평가지표 개발방향을 정립한 후 기존 평가지표 검토 및 FGI를 통해 1차 평가항목을 선정하고, 평가지표의 적합성 검증을 통해 최종평가지표를 도출하였다. 본 연구 결과를 간략히 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 자전거 이용평가에서 존별 평가를 적용하여 존 단위의 개선점 제시, 둘째 GIS를 이용한 시설물 현황 및 모형분석 결과 제시, 셋째 스파이더 맵을 이용한 각 존별 주요항목 결과의 비교를 명확히 하였다.

  • 본 연구는 고속도로 휴게시설 이용자측면을 평가할 수 있는 평가지표를 개발하여 고속도로 노선별 휴게소의 서비스를 평가하고 향후 모니터링 시 활용하고자 하였다. 평가지표 개발방향은 휴게소 이용자들의 필요성, 시대여건 반영, 종합 평가지표 구축, 관련연구 검토와 같이 크게 4가지 측면에서 고속도로 휴게소 평가지표 개발방향을 정립한 후 기존문헌 검토 및 전문가 심층면접 토론(FGI)을 통해 1차 평가항목을 선정하고, 평가지표의 적합성 검증을 통해 최종평가지표를 도출하였다. 이용자 설문인 AHP분석을 통하여 도출된 평가항목 중요도 분석결과는 환경시설 측면(0.35), 위치 측면(0.33), 위생적 측면(0.32) 순으로 가중치가 도출되었다. 본 연구결과에서도 알 수 있듯이 정량적, 정성적인 인자가 함께 고려되어 실질적인 고속도로 휴게소 평가가 가능하고, 스파이더맵을 통한 고속도로 휴게소별 맞춤형 휴게소 향상 방향 제시 및 향후 모니터링을 위한 기초연구가 될 수 있을 것이다.

Evaluation of the Photon Transmission Efficiency of Light Guides Used in Scintillation Detectors Using LightTools Code

  • Background: To optimize the photon transmission efficiency of light guides used in scintillation detectors, LightTools code, which can construct and track light, was used to analyze photon transmission effectiveness with respect to light guides thickness. Materials and Methods: This analysis was carried out using the commercial light guide, N-BK 7 Optical Glass by SCHOTT, as a model for this study. The luminous exitance characteristic of the LYSO scintillator was used to analyze the photon transmission effectiveness according to the thickness of the light guide. Results and Discussion: The results of the simulations showed the effectiveness of the photon transmission according to the thickness of the light guide, which was found to be distributed from 13.38% to 33.57%. In addition, the photon transmission efficiency was found to be the highest for light guides of 4 mm of thickness and a receiving angle of $49^{\circ}$. Conclusion: Through such simulations, it is confirmed that photon transmission efficiency depends on light guide thickness and subsequent changes in the internal angle of reflection. The aim is to produce an actual light guide based on these results and to evaluate its performance.

Alcohol and Temperature Induced Conformational Transitions in Ervatamin B: Sequential Unfolding of Domains

  • The structural aspects of ervatamin B have been studied in different types of alcohol. This alcohol did not affect the structure or activity of ervatamin B under neutral conditions. At a low pH (3.0), different kinds of alcohol have different effects. Interestingly, at a certain concentration of non-fluorinated, aliphatic, monohydric alcohol, a conformational switch from the predominantly $\alpha$-helical to $\beta$-sheeted state is observed with a complete loss of tertiary structure and proteolytic activity. This is contrary to the observation that alcohol induces mostly the $\alpha$helical structure in proteins. The O-state of ervatamin B in 50% methanol at pH 3.0 has enhanced the stability towards GuHCl denaturation and shows a biphasic transition. This suggests the presence of two structural parts with different stabilities that unfold in steps. The thermal unfolding of ervatamin B in the O-state is also biphasic, which confirms the presence of two domains in the enzyme structure that unfold sequentially. The differential stabilization of the structural parts may also be a reflection of the differential stabilization of local conformations in methanol. Thermal unfolding of ervatamin B in the absence of alcohol is cooperative, both at neutral and low pH, and can be fitted to a two state model. However, at pH 2.0 the calorimetric profiles show two peaks, which indicates the presence of two structural domains in the enzyme with different thermal stabilities that are denatured more or less independently. With an increase in pH to 3.0 and 4.0, the shape of the DSC profiles change, and the two peaks converge to a predominant single peak. However, the ratio of van't Hoff enthalpy to calorimetric enthalpy is approximated to 2.0, indicating non-cooperativity in thermal unfolding.

마이크로스트립 라인에서 유한요소법을 이용한 전도노이즈 흡수체의 성능해석 (FEM Analysis of Conduction Noise Absorbers in Microstrip Line)

  • 전자기적 해석 시뮬레이션 프로그램인 유한요소 방식의 HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulation)를 사용하여, 전도 노이즈 흡수 sheet의 흡수특성을 해석하고 그 결과 값을 실측값과 비교함으로써 해석방법의 타당성을 검토하였다. 마이크로스트립 선로는 $S_{11}\simeq-30dB,\;S_{21}=0dB$의 반사투과 특성을 보여 전도 노이즈 흡수율 측정에 이상적인 전송특성을 보였다. 순철 압분체-고무 복합체 sheet의 복소비투자율과 복소비유전율을 입력하여 노이즈 흡수율을 계산한 결과 실측치와 비교적 잘 일치하는 해석결과를 얻었다. 주파수, 흡수계의 크기(특히 선로를 덮는 길이)에 따라 노이즈 흡수율은 현저한 변화를 보였으며, 이는 재료의 손실 특성과 밀접히 연관되어 있음을 제시하였다. 이러한 해석방법은 다양한 조성 및 크기의 전도 노이즈 흡수체의 설계에 유용히 사용될 수 있음을 제안할 수 있다.

소형수조에서 음향재료의 반향음감소와 투과손실 측정시스템 구성 (Measurement System for Performance Evaluation of Acoustic Materials in a Small Water Tank)

  • 본 논문은 반향음과 투과음을 감소시키기 위한 평판형 음향재료의 성능평가 장치를 제작하고 측정시스템을 구성하며 표준표적을 이용한 검증을 통해 신뢰성을 확보하는 데 목적이 있다. 반향음감소와 투과손실 측정은 신호간섭이 없도록 대형수조에서 실시되는 것이 일반적이지만, 본 논문에서는 신호간섭을 고려해야 하는 소형수조에서 최저 30 kHz까지 측정이 가능한 측정시스템을 구성하였다. 이를 위해 신호모의를 통해 신호간섭이 없는 최적의 기하학적 배치를 도출하였으며, 획득한 신호를 시간영역과 주파수영역의 총 네 가지 방법으로 ER과 TL을 도출하는 신호처리 알고리즘을 확립하였다. 마지막으로 대형수조에서의 전파손실 실측실험을 통해 측정시스템을 보정하고 알루미늄 판과 스티로폼을 표준표적으로 사용한 측정결과를 Brekhovskikh Layer Model과 비교하여 측정시스템 검증을 수행하였다.

An Analytical Appraisal of Building Information Modelling (BIM) Guidelines to Identify Variations in the Procedures

  • The usage of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in building projects has enabled improvement in project planning, implementation and collaboration process amongst various stakeholders within architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. However, variations exist in the current practices of BIM implementation and coordination process in the industry. These variations result in inconsistent degree of BIM use across the construction industry. This inconsistency gives rise to several managerial and technological challenges such as data interoperability issues and purposeful integration and exchange of information within the BIM components. In order to tackle the issue, it is essential to analyse the different BIM approaches employed by the industry practitioners. BIM guidelines serve as a critical link between the BIM model, and its subsequent execution. They therefore provide the best reflection of BIM application and processes. This research paper aims to address the variations existing in BIM practices across the construction industry. It includes an extensive study of 21 existing, publicly available BIM-based guidelines in order to establish an understanding of the present state of practice and deduce issues and concerns related to them. All guidelines analysed in this paper are first categorised based on authorship and the release date for efficient comparison. The points of similarity and difference between them are thereby realized and outlined. In addition, the transition of project implementation process from traditional methods to BIM technology is also explained. The existence of inconsistencies in the BIM guidelines reviewed in this paper reflects the need of a BIM 'Code Compliance Check'. The Code Compliance Check will serve as a regulatory project guideline that will further improve the potential of BIM by incorporating a consistent BIM modelling methodology for the entire construction industry.

저속충격에 의한 복합재료 적층판의 손상 (Damage of Composite Laminates by Low-Velocity Impact)

  • The study investigated the nondestructive characteristics of damage, caused by law-velocity impact, on symmetric cross-ply laminates, composed of [0o/90o]16s, 24s, 32s, 48s. The thickness of the laminates was 2, 3, 4 and 6 mm, respectively. The impact machine used, Model 8250 Dynatup Instron, was a drop-weight type that employed gravity. The impact velocities used in this experiment were 0.75, 0.90, 1.05, 1.20 and 1.35 m/sec, respectively. Both the load and the deformation increased when the impact velocity was increased. Further, when the load increased with the laminate thickness in the same impact velocity, the deformation still decreased. The extensional velocity was quick, as the laminate thickness increased in the same impact velocity and the impact velocity increased in the same laminate thickness. In the ultrasonic scans, the damaged area represented a dimmed zone. This is due to the fact that the wave, after the partial reflection by the deflects, does not have enough energy to touch the opposite side or to come back from it. The damaged laminate areas differed, according to the laminate thickness and the impact velocity. The extensional velocities are lower in the 0o direction and higher in the 90o direction, when the size of the defect increases. However, it was difficult to draw any conclusion for the extensional velocities in the 45o direction.

The polymerization efficiency of a bulk-fill composite based on matrix-modification technology

  • Objectives: To evaluate the polymerization efficiency of a matrix-modified bulk-fill composite, and compare it to a conventional composite which has a similar filler system. The degree of conversion (DC%) and monomer elution were measured over different storage periods. Additionally, fillers' content was examined. Materials and Methods: Cylindrical specimens were prepared, in bulk and incrementally, from Filtek Bulk Fill (B) and Filtek Supreme XTE (S) composites using a Teflon mold, for each test (n = 6). Using attenuated total reflection method of Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy, DC% was measured after 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. Using high-performance liquid chromatography, elution of hydroxyethyl methacrylate, triethylene glycol dimethacrylate, urethane dimethacrylate, and bisphenol-A glycidyl dimethacrylate was measured after 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days. Filler content was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Data were analyzed using 2-way mixed-model analysis of variance (α = 0.05). Results: There was no significant difference in DC% over different storage periods between B-bulk and S-incremental. Higher monomer elution was detected significantly from S than B. The elution quantity and rate varied significantly over storage periods and between different monomers. SEM images showed differences in fillers' sizes and agglomeration between both materials. Conclusions: Matrix-modified bulk-fill composites could be packed and cured in bulk with polymerization efficiency similar to conventional composites.

표면반사율 모델링을 위한 새로운 N차원 기저함수 (New N-dimensional Basis Functions for Modeling Surface Reflectance)

  • 일반적으로 표면반사율과 분광반사율을 N차원의 칼라 코드로부터 정확히 복원하기 위해서는 N개의 기저함수가 필요하다. 전형적인 렌더링 응용에서 벡터의 덧셈, 스칼라 곱셈 및 성분별 곱셈에 대한 벡터 연산이 이질동형이라고 가정하고 광원의 중첩, 광원-표면간 상호간섭 및 상호반사와 같은 물리적인 연산을 모델링하지만 벡터 연산이 물리적인 현상을 그대로 반영하는 것은 아니다. 그러나 만약 기저함수가 특성함수로써 제한된다면 표면반사율과 분광반사율의 사상 결과 및 벡터들은 렌더링에서 물리적인 연산인 이질이형을 유지하게 된다. 본 논문은 새로운 N차원의 특성함수를 제안하고 N차원의 기저함수로 근사화된 먼셀 칼라 칩에 대하여 제안한 알고리즘의 정확성을 평가할 것이다.
