In this letter, we propose a one-way ranging algorithm that is based on wireless synchronization with measured timestamps and clock frequency offsets. In our proposed algorithm, an active mobile node initiates a ranging procedure by transmitting a ranging frame, and the anchor nodes report their timestamps for the received ranging frame to a reference anchor node. The synchronization of a pair of nodes is provided with instantaneous time information, and the corresponding difference of distances can be calculated.

The focus of this study is modeling technique for a bellows in vehicle exhaust system. Bellows was developed using tile finite element model by replacing with the equivalent beam. The equivalent beam model were studied in detail. Non-structural node in the cross section of original model is given to expressing their motion. Equivalent mass matrix and stiffness matrix calculated using Guyan reduction method. Material Properties of beam was obtained from the direct comparison between equivalent model and that of Timoshenko beam model. The calculated natural frequencies and mode shape are compared with the reference results and coincided well. The results were compared with the confirmed results, which were in good agreement.

This paper discuss a performance evaluation of the synchronization algorithm for hybrid networks in industrial environments. The proposed algorithms minimizes synchronization errors which were caused from channel, Propagation, and frequency delays. The modified RBS and offset synchronization methods can be operated by adjustment parameters. The differential BP (Back-off Period) adjustment can synchronize the local time of each node with master node's time in hybrid networks. For the performance analysis, the data transmission time between the wired and wireless devices are investigated. The experimental results show the performance evaluations in terms of the polling service time and an average end-to-end delay.

A high speed Analog parallel processing-based Viterbi decoder with a circularly connected 2D analog processing cell array is proposed. It has a 2D parallel processing structure in which an analog processing cell is placed at each node of trellis diagram is connected circulary so that infinitively expanding trellis diagram is realized with the fixed size of circuits. The proposed Viterbi decoder has advantages in that it is operated with better performance of error corrections, has a shorter latency and requires no path memories. In this parer, the performance of error correction as a reference position with the Analog parallel processing-based Viterbi decoder is testd via the software simulation
Whether it is crosstalk, harmonics, or in-band operation of wireless technologies, interference between a reference system and a host of offenders is virtually unavoidable. In past contributions, a benchmark has been established and considered for coexistence analysis with a number of technologies including FWA, UMTS, and WiMAX. However, the previously presented model does not take into account the mobility factor of the reference node in addition to a number of interdependent requirements regarding the link direction, channel state, data rate and system factors; hence limiting its applicability for the MBWA (IEEE 802.20) standard. Thus, over diverse modes, in this correspondence we analytically derived the greatest aggregate interference level tolerated for high-fidelity transmission tailored specifically for the MBWA standard. Our results, in the form of benchmark indicators, should be of particular interest to peers analyzing and researching RF coexistence scenarios with this new protocol.

This paper proposed indoor location recognition method based on RSSI (received signal strength indication) using the LVQ (Learning Vector Quantization) network. The LVQ inputs are the RSSI values measured by the fixed reference nodes and the output are the spatial sections. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, we performed experiments, and then compared to the conventional triangularity measurement method.
Objective: To evaluate 99mtechnetium-three polyethylene glycol spacers-arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (99mTc-3PRGD2) single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/computed tomography (CT) imaging for diagnosing lymph node metastasis of primary malignant lung neoplasms. Materials and Methods: We prospectively enrolled 26 patients with primary malignant lung tumors who underwent 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT/CT and 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/CT imaging. Both imaging methods were analyzed in qualitative (visual dichotomous and 5-point grades for lymph nodes and lung tumors, respectively) and semiquantitative (maximum tissue-to-background radioactive count) manners for the lymph nodes and lung tumors. The performance of the differentiation of lymph nodes with and without metastasis was determined at the per-lymph node station and per-patient levels using histopathological results as the reference standard. Results: Total 42 stations had metastatic lymph nodes and 136 stations had benign lymph nodes. The differences between metastatic and benign lymph nodes in the visual qualitative and semiquantitative analyses of 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT/CT and 18F-FDG PET/CT were statistically significant (all P < 0.001). The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) in the semi-quantitative analysis of 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT/CT was 0.908 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.851-0.966), and the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were 0.86 (36/42), 0.88 (120/136), 0.69 (36/52), and 0.95 (120/126), respectively. Among the 26 patients (including two patients each with two lung tumors), 15 had pathologically confirmed lymph node metastasis. The difference between primary lung lesions in patients with and without lymph node metastasis was statistically significant only in the semi-quantitative analysis of 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT/CT (P = 0.007), with an AUC of 0.807 (95% CI, 0.641-0.974). Conclusion: 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT/CT imaging may notably perform in the direct diagnosis of lymph node metastasis of primary malignant lung tumors and indirectly predict the presence of lymph node metastasis through uptake in the primary lesions.

In a SDH network, one of the most important issues is the realization of network synchronization. In this paper, we presented the relationship between parameters and control algorithm of DP-PLL for design in a SDH based time, SSM processing time, PJE counter and reference switching time, and analyzed phase transients for one node and mutiple nodes through our simulation results with a standard specification. We suggested suitable design method of SDH-DP-PLL.
Background: miR-200a expression is frequently altered in numerous cancers. The aim of the present study was to determine the role of microRNA-200a in advanced ovarian carcinomas. Materials and Methods: We measured miR-200a expression in 72 matched normal ovarian tissues and advanced ovarian carcinomas, and also two ovarian carcinoma cell lines (SKOV3 and SKOV3.ip1 - the latter being more invasive and metastatic than the parental SKOV3) by stem-loop real-time RT-PCR based on TaqMan microRNA assay using U6 as a reference. Levels of miR-200a expression were compared by disease stage, tumor grade, histology, and lymph node involvement. To evaluate the role of microRNA-200a, cell proliferation and invasion of SKOV-3 and SKOV-3.ip1 were analyzed with miR-200a inhibitor/mimic transfected cells. Results: Of 72 paired samples, 65 cancer tissues overexpressed microRNA-200a greater than two fold in comparison with matched normal epithelium. Specifically, patients with lymph node metastasis showed significant elevation. The level correlated with clinicopathological features, including high tumor grade, late disease stage, most notably with lymph node metastasis, but not with tumor histology. In addition, SKOV-3.ip1 cells also overexpressed miR-200a compared with SKOV-3, and miR-200a inhibitor transfected SKOV-3.ip1 cells showed significant reduction in cellular proliferation and invasion, while a miR-200a mimic stimulated the opposite behavior. Conclusions: We provide definitive evidence that miR-200a is up-regulated in a significant proportion of advanced ovarian carcinomas, and that elevated miR-200a expression facilitates tumor progression. Our findings support the notion that miR-200a is an onco-microRNA for ovarian cancer, and elevation is a useful potential diagnostic indicator. This study also provides a solid basis for further functional analysis of miR-200a in advanced ovarian cancer.

Recently, researches on resource allocation algorithms operating in a distributed way are widely conducted because of the increasing number of network nodes and the rapidly changing the network environment. In this paper, we propose Multi-Hop DESYNC(MH DESYNC), that is bio-inspired TDMA-based resource allocation scheme operating in a distributed manner in multi-hop networks. In this paper, we define a frame structure for the proposed MH DESYNC algorithm and firing message structure which is a reference for resource allocation and propose the related operating procedures. We show that MH DSYNC can resolve the hidden-node problem effectively and verify that each node shares resources fairly among its neighboring nodes. Through simulation evaluations, it is shown that MH DESYNC algorithm works well in a multi-hop networks. Furthermore, results show that MH DESYNC algorithm achieves better performance than CSMA/CA algorithm in terms of throughput.
