세라믹 주형법에 의하여 주조된 SM50C 강의 탈탄과 그 방지에 관한 연구 (Study on Decarburization and Its Prevention of SM50C Steel Casted by the Ceramic Mold Process)

  • Decarburization phenomena of SM50C steel casted in ceramic mold was investigated. As result, decarburized depth increased by increased by increasing the volume-to-surface area ratio and mold temperature. And the relations between them is $y(cm)=(1.96{\times}10^{-5}T+0.0135)\;{\times}M-1.05{\times}10^{-5}T+9.73{\times}10^{-3}$. When mold is controlled by Ar ags, reducing atmosphere, decarburized depth is decreased. In case of adding graphite powder in the mold, decarburization is decreased more. Specially, when graphite powder is added on the mold materials and the wax is layed on the mold, decarburization is almost prevented.

  • Due to global economic growth, there is an increasing need for energy. Fossil fuels will continue to dominate the world energy supplies in the 21st century and coal will play a significant role. Since coal is one of the most important fossil fuels in the world, coal gasification technology appears to be an inevitable choice for power and chemicals production and has a leading place in Clean Coal Technology (CCT). The most eminent environmental advantage of coal gasification lies in its inherent reaction features that produce negligible sulfur and nitrogen oxides, as well as other pollutants in a reducing atmosphere. The gasifier was operated for a throughput of 1.0 ton & 10.0ton coal per day at pressures of 1~20Bar. Gasification was conducted in a temperature range of $1,100{\sim}1,450^{\circ}C$.

Characterization of individual ultra-long SnO2 nanowires grown by vapor transport method

  • We report the characteristics of individual ultra-long SnO2 nanowires(NWs) grown on sapphire(0001) substrates by vapor transport method. NWs, with typical lengths of >$400{\mu}m$, grew in the form of NW bundles under a hydrogen reducing atmosphere, without metal catalysts. The individual NWs were examined using high-resolution X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and micro-Raman spectroscopy. The results revealed that the SnO2 NWs grew as high-quality, tetragonal-rutile-phase single crystals with mosaic distributions of $0.02^{\circ}$ and $0.026^{\circ}$ in the (101) and (110) planes, respectively.

  • 철(II)이온을 안정화 하기위하여, 2산화 규소와, 구상, 입방체상 및 침상의 서로 다른형태의 산화 제2철로부터 규산철을 합성하였다. 메타놀증기로 포화시킨 질소까스를 튜브로에 도입시켜 얻은 환원성 분위기속에서, 114$0^{\circ}C$에서 11$65^{\circ}C$의 온도범위에서, 가스유속을 0.13 및 0.25l/min. 로서, 환원시간 4-150분동안 교상반응을 진행하였다. 반응생성의 동태를 오르자트 가스분석으로 검토하였으며, 생성물의 확인은 X-선 회절시험 및 감량정량에 의하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 1 : 1.1의 몰비로 혼합한 산화제2철과 2산화 규소의 경우, 가스유속이 0.13l/min일 때, 규산철 합성반응시간은 구상, 입방체상 및 침상산화철에 있어서 각기 8-27분, 10-16분 및 6-7분으로 구상의 경우가 범위가 가장 넓었다. 또한, 반응속도는 산화제2철의 표면적의 평방근에 비례하였고 반응시간의 평방근에 역비례하였다.

  • The telematics positioning testbed is an infrastructure to test and verify positioning technology, the sub-component of telernatics system. The positioning testbed provides the environment of performance analysis for acquisition of static and dynamic positioning information using telematics vehicle. This testbed consists of onboard positioning system, positioning reference station and lab positioning server. The onboard positioning system equipped in telematics vehicle, consists of target positioning system, reference positioning system, and analysis tool. A equipment acquiring high precision positioning data obtained from GPS combined with IMU was set as a reference positioning system. Analysis tool compares observed positioning data with high precision positioning information from a reference positioning system, and processes positioning information. Positioning reference station is RTK system used for reducing atmosphere error, and it transmits corrected information to reference positioning system. Positioning server which is located at laboratory manages positioning database and provides monitoring data to integrated testbed operating system. It is expected that the testbed supports commercialization of telernatics technology and services, integrated testing among component technology and verification.

Micromachined MoO3 Gas Sensor with Low Power Consumption of 0.5 Watt

  • A new $MoO_3$ based microsensor with low power consumption was presented. Typical size of sensor was 5mm in width and 8mm in length. As a sensitive electrode, $MoO_3$ was successfully fabricated by IC technology on pyrex glass of $250{\mu}m$ in thickness. After annealing at $550^{\circ}C$ for 3hrs, the film was fully crystallized and demonstrated as pure $MoO_3$ structure. The grain size of $MoO_3$ was plat like and typical size was about $1{\mu}m$. Based on the results of sensitivity measurement, $MoO_3$ microsensor shows especially high selectivity to $H_2$ reducing gas atmosphere. The applied heater power was lower than 0.5 Watt.

  • PZT ceramics were rapidly sintered in a 2.45GHz microwave oven without no addition of lead to the atmosphere and afterwards the piezoelectric properties were investigated. The specimens were sintered between 1050 and 1130$^{\circ}C$ with the sintering time totaling less then 20 minutes, reducing processing times and costs from those of established methods. The relative dielectric constant, mechanical quality factor and electro-mechanical coupling factor of the PZT specimens at 1090$^{\circ}C$ were 1990, 80,0.53 respectively, which is comparable to conventionally sintered values.

$LiTaO_3$ 단결정의 결함 (Imperfections in $LiTaO_3$ Crystal)

  • The imperfections of LiTaO3 crystals grown from the Pt-Rh and the Ir crucible were investigated with X-ray diffraction, optical and electron microscope. The growth direction was <100>h and the plane parallel to the plane connecting two main growth ridges was (012)h which would be the main cleavage plane. The dislocation density in the specimen cut parallel to (012)h plane increased with polishing time and the inverted ferroelectric microdomains were induced based on this dislocations. Such imperfections as 180$^{\circ}$ domains, microcracks, dislocations and stacking faults. could be found in the LiTaO3 crytals. The crystal contaminated with lots of Rh form Pt-Rh crucible during the crystal growing under air atmosphere contained more imperfections. The main cleavage plane and subgrain boundary parallel to its growing axis might be the main source of reducing the mechnical strength during the wafering process.

  • A new type of low voltage driven SrTiO3 varistor was investigated. $SrTi3_3$ sintered with CuO-SiO2 additions, the sintering temperature was reduced to 1250-1300C. With the sintering additives, the semiconducting SrTi03 was able to fabricate single time sintering in reducing atmosphere(95% N2 + 5% H2), The non-linear coefficient value was 10.3 and the operating voltage was about 7 V.

  • $eta$-Sialon powders were prepared by reduction-nitridation from mixture of Wando pyrophyllite and graphite as a reducing agent at 135$0^{\circ}C$ in 80% $N_2$-20% $H_2$ atmosphere. As the reaction products $Si_2ON_2$, $\beta$-$Si_3N_4$ a--$Si_3N_4$ and $\beta$-SiC were observed. Additive agents of MgO, CaO, $Y_2O_3$ were used for promoting the reduction and nitridiation aeaction. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of silica-carbon ratio ($SiO_2$/C=weight ratio), raction time gas flow rate pellet size and powder packing on synthesis of $\beta$-Sialon from Wando pyropyllite.
