제강분진으로부터 습식제련공정에 의한 황산아연의 제조 연구 (Study for Manufacturing of Zinc Sulfate from Electric Arc Furnace Dust by Hydrometallrugical Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 제강분진으로부터 습식제련을 이용하여 아연을 선택적으로 회수하고 황산아연을 제조하고자 하였다. 제강분진의 성상분석을 통해 기존의 제강분진과 다르게 철의 함유량이 9.9%로 상대적으로 낮고 망간이 19%로 다량 함유되어 있었으며 이에 알맞은 습식제련 공정을 설계하였다. 침출공정에서는 고액비, 온도, 황산 농도별 실험을 통해 1.6M 황산, 20% 고액비, 60℃, 1시간동안 침출하여 85%의 아연, 망간을 용해시키고 철은 침출되지 않았다. 망간으로부터 아연을 선택적으로 회수하기 위해 D2EPHA를 사용한 용매추출 공정을 선택하였고 0.8M D2EHPA, 32% 비누화도, O/A 비 2, 향류 3단 추출을 통해 에서 99% 아연을 추출하였으며, 공동 추출된 망간은 pH 1.5로 조정한 황산 수용액으로 전량 세정하였다. 최종적으로 1.5M 황산을 이용하여 O/A 비 4, 향류 4단 탈거를 통해 아연을 농축 탈거하였다. 탈거액에는 40g/L의 아연이 함유되어 있었으며 이를 감압증류하여 99.9%의 황산아연 1수화물을 획득하였다.

  • Plastics are one of difficult materials for recycling due to their characteristics in use. Recycling ratio of waste plastics was around 40% in last year in Japan, which includes energy recovery. Feed stock recycling and mechanical recycling are not easy because of additives in commercial plastics. Then, pyrolysis treatments have been done to recovery energy. Although plastics are easy to fire, complete combustion of them is not easy if anti-firing agents are added especially. Therefore, researches on pyrolysis or combustion behaviors of plastics containing additives are important from a view point recycling of plastics. Direct observation of popular plastics like polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), polyphenyle ether (PPE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to investigate their pyrolysis behaviors in the present study. In case of PS, melting and gas evolution started at 9$0^{\circ}C$ and 39$0^{\circ}C$ respectively. And combustion finished at 445$^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, more than $600^{\circ}C$ and sufficient oxygen are required for complete combustion of PC and PPE.

Cholesterol Removal from Lard with Crosslinked ${\beta}$-Cyclodextrin

  • The present study was carried out to determine the optimum conditions of different factors (ratio of lard to water, ${\beta}$-CD concentrations, mixing temperature, mixing time and mixing speed) on cholesterol reduction from lard by using crosslinked ${\beta}$-CD. Crosslinked ${\beta}$-CD was prepared with adipic acid. When the lard was treated under different conditions, the range of cholesterol removal was 91.2 to 93.0% with 5% crosslinked ${\beta}$-CD, which was not significantly different among treatments. In a recycling study, cholesterol removal with crosslinked ${\beta}$-CD in the first trial was 92.1%, which was similar to that with new crosslinked ${\beta}$-CD. In up to eight time trials, over 90% of cholesterol removal was found. The present study indicated that the optimum conditions for cholesterol removal using crosslinked ${\beta}$-CD were a 1:3 ratio of lard to water, 5% crosslinked ${\beta}$-CD concentration, $40^{\circ}C$ mixing temperature, 1 h mixing time and 150 rpm mixing speed. In addition, crosslinked ${\beta}$-CD made by adipic acid resulted in an effective recycling efficiency.

Study on the Recycling of Nuclear Graphite after Micro-Oxidation

  • In this paper, a feasible strategy for the recycling of nuclear graphite is reported, based on the formation mechanism and the removal of carbon-14 by micro-oxidation. We investigated whether ground micro-oxidation graphite could be used as a filler to make new recycled graphite and which graphite/pitch coke ratio will give the recycled graphite outstanding properties (e.g., apparent density, flexural strength, compressive strength, and tensile strength). According to the existing properties of nuclear graphite, the ratio of graphite to pitch coke should not exceed 3. The recycled reactor graphite has been proven superior in density, strength, and thermal conductivity. The micro-oxidation process enhances the strength of the recycled graphite because there are more pores and unsmooth surfaces on the oxidized graphite particles, which is beneficial for the access of the pitch binder and leads to efficient joint adhesion among the graphite particles.

  • In the last year, the number of registered vehicles in Korea surpassed the 12 million mark, and increase in number continuously Nowdays, this tendency has raised some problems inevitably in the view of expansion of ELV(end of life vehicle) and earth environment pollution resulted from it. For the proper scope with this environment pollution, recycling of parts and materials, minimization of wastes are desirable. And application of disassembly technology is required for it necessarily. Therefore it is essential to study systematically about disassembly technology of ELV with high efficiency for improvement recycling ratio and diminution shredder dust amount also in Korea.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of on temperature control from actuating method, recycling ratio and the position (top, middle and bottom) of set and controlled temperature within the reactor in adiabatic ebullated recycling condition, when the disturbance was occurred. Estimation of the solution were performed numerically using the finite difference method. It was assumed that the reaction is in constant with heat of reaction and the physical properties(density, heat capacity and viscosity, etc) of the reactants are same condition within the reactor.

  • 2005년부터 도시 지역에서는 음식물 쓰레기 재활용 시설을 완료하여야 한다. 기존에 시설된 음식물 재활용 설비는 염분을 적절히 제거하지 못하여 퇴비로 사용할 경우 농작물에 해가 되는 경우가 많았다 호기성 발효에서 물세척 방식에 의하여 음식물 쓰레기에 포함된 염분을 0.02% 이하로 처리할 수 있었고, 혐기성 밀폐순환식에서도 물분무에 의하여 법정 기분치 이하를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 여러 가지 건설 부산물 중에서 단순히 폐기되거나 매립에 의존하고 있는 폐콘크리트를 대상으로 건설공사에 재이용하기 위한 기술 즉, 폐콘크리트의 콘크리트용 골재(재생골재)로서의 재이용과 콘크리트 구조용 재료로써의 재사용을 위한 기술적인 방향을 제시하고 실험적 자료를 구축하고자 하였다 실험결과, 안전을 고려하여 재생골재 대체율은 30%이하, 최대철근비를 균형 철근비의 70%이하, 깊은 보의 기준은 전단 스팬비 2.0이하로 보는 것이 타당하고, 계수전단강도의 예측에는 Zsutty식을 사용하는 것이 합리적이라고 판단된다.

  • 플라스틱 재활용에서 물성변화에 대한 신뢰성의 확보는 재활용을 확대시킬 수 있는 중요한 과제이다. 폴리 스틸렌과 같은 열가소성수지는 재활용이 가능하지만 재활용 수지에 대한 균일한 물성의 신뢰성이 부족하기 때문에 제한적으로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 고강도 폴리 스틸렌(HIPS)을 대상으로 재활용의 정도에 따른 물성의 변화를 실험적으로 수행하였다. 재활용을 하지 않은 수지와 재활용 수지를 중량비를 기준으로 혼합하여 실험을 수행하였으며, 이에 따른 기계적인 물성의 변화를 측정하였다.
