Smart farms are steadily increasing in research to minimize labor, energy, and quantity put into crops as IoT technology and artificial intelligence technology are combined. However, research on efficiently managing crop growth information in smart farms has been insufficient to date. In this paper, we propose a management technique that can efficiently monitor crop growth information by applying autonomous sensors to smart farms. The proposed technique focuses on collecting crop growth information through autonomous sensors and then recycling the growth information to crop cultivation. In particular, the proposed technique allocates crop growth information to one slot and then weights each crop to perform load balancing, minimizing interference between crop growth information. In addition, when processing crop growth information in four stages (sensing detection stage, sensing transmission stage, application processing stage, data management stage, etc.), the proposed technique computerizes important crop management points in real time, so an immediate warning system works outside of the management criteria. As a result of the performance evaluation, the accuracy of the autonomous sensor was improved by 22.9% on average compared to the existing technique, and the efficiency was improved by 16.4% on average compared to the existing technique.

ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) has become a major guideline for many companies to improve corporate value and enable sustainable management. Among them, the environment requires a technological approach. This is because technological solutions are needed to reduce or prevent environmental pollution and save energy. Semiconductor package technology has been developed to better satisfy the essential roles of semiconductor packaging: chip protection, electrical/mechanical connection, and heat dissipation. Accordingly, technologies have been developed to improve heat dissipation effect, improve electrical/mechanical properties, improve chip protection reliability, stacking and miniaturization, and reduce costs. Among them, heat dissipation technology increases thermal efficiency and reduces energy consumption for cooling. Also, technology to improve electrical characteristics has had an impact on the environment by reducing energy consumption. Technologies that recycling or reducing material consumption reduce environmental pollution. And technologies that replace environmentally harmful substances contribute to environmental improvement, in particular. In this paper, I summarize trends in semiconductor package technologies to prevent pollution and improve environment.
Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19, self-service technology is widely used in Korea, and demand for disposable cups is increasing significantly. Waste and recycling of disposable cups have become a social concern for Koreans and Korea implemented the "Disposable Cup Deposit Systems" again in December 2022. Whether the emergence of this system can change the way people behave in environmental protection is a question to be examined in this study. Companies participating in the disposable cup deposit system are hoping that customers will actively recover cups through self-service in the process of collecting disposable cups. The government, along with businesses, transfers recovery work to customers through self-service technologies and schemes. Due to the increase in Shadow Work and the strengthening of consumer environmental protection consciousness, this paper focuses on how unmanned service types such as self-service technology can affect people's environmental protection behavior. An empirical analysis with 477 samples examined how the characteristics of shadow work, perceived efficacy, environmental awareness, and ecological guilt affect user's environmental protection behavior. Perceived efficacy that acts as a mediator and ecological guilt that plays as a moderator are investigated. Although there have been many studies on the effects of shadow work on customer behavioral intentions before, it has been very rare to study the effects of shadow work perceived by people on environmental behavioral intentions from an environmental protection perspective. This study shows that the higher the perceived efficacy of consumers, the more people prefer self-service technology and the stronger the environmental protection behavior. Also, consumers' ecological guilt significantly moderates the relationship between environmental consciousness and eco-friendly behavior. It is expected that companies and governments will be able to understand the impact of shadow work on consumers' environmental protection behavior and further promote environmental protection by appropriate policies and marketing strategies.

In this paper, bending strength and permeability tests were conducted on concrete permeable blocks manufactured by recycling industrial by-products of oyster shell and blast furnace slag to measure and compare bending strength and permeability coefficient, and present experimental research results. To this end, a total of 54 specimens with a size of 200x200x60mm for surface layer and base layer were manufactured, and bending strength and permeability test were carried ourt accoridng to KS F 4419. Eighteen types of mixing designs were implemented by varying the mixing and replacement rates of oyster shells and blast furnace slag. As a result of the experiment, the higher the mixing ratio of oyster shell, the lower the bending strength and the permeability coefficient. Thereafter, a total of three permeable blocks with dimensions of 200x200x60mm were manufactured and subjected to bending strength and permeability tests according to KS F 4419. As a result of the test, the bending strength satisfies the standard of KS F 4419, and the permeability coefficient is 12 times higher than the standard of KS F 4419. It seems that the proper mixing of oyster shells and blast furnace slag increases the amount of air, and further research on durability and economic feasibility of materials used to manufacture permeable blocks is required.
Many researchers have studied on rooftop greening that can be installed in abandoned spaces on a building roof. The most important issue in rooftop greening is the soil weight problem. The light greening materials are needed to solve this problem. Therefore, many alternative materials against the soil were investigated for rooftop greening. In this study, the waste wood chips and the waste paper slurry were evaluated as the lightweight vegetation foundation for rooftop greening. It also has a meaning for recycling of waste materials. The mixture ratio of waste wood chips to waste paper slurry for the board (the foundation of greening) was 60 to 40. The wet strength resin and the sizing agent were additionally added with different amount. After the forming of the board, physical and chemical properties were tested with the variation of wet strength resin and sizing agent. As the result of the test, the board with 15% of wet strength resin in the wet condition showed the highest strength. Futhermore, the moisture evaporation loss from the board surface with sizing agent was much lower than that from the board without sizing agent. Therefore, it was clear that the sizing agent was effective for water retention. The change of thickness in the wet condition was less than 1 mm, and it showed that the board is the predominant material on the dimensional stability. The average pH value of the board was ranged from 7.6 to 8.25.
The purpose of this study was to survey the trends of waste products in schools, its gathering and disposal, identification of problems and to analyze its disposal. Moreover, this study was aimed at basic suggestions about the establishment and plans of waste environmental education. 98 public primary and secondary schools were surveyed in Seoul during the month of March and April, 1991. Information was collected from each educational association by random sampling. Questionaries were used for this survey. To understand the disposal status of school waste and its reforms, this study surveyed the amount of waste by products, their origin and analyzed the disposal by type, one number of schools and teachers involved. The dump sited and disposal methods of school waste, its problems, and the status of school waste educations were researched, and ideal disposal methods and plans for waste education were suggested. The results were as follows. 1. The School's trash was produced by followings: paper, vinyle plastics, food, woods, metals, ceramics, glass, bottles, and ash from the heating system. The biggest cause of the school's waste as shown by the survey was a lack of environmental awareness(39.8%). The second biggest was the use of a one time use of disposable paper products(27.6%). 2. Waste collection by different grade levels were proven to be important but as you move from elementary to high school, the waste collecting operation decreased, in this connection between the students and waste collection itself it was significant on the other hand the teachers were not working as significant variables. 3. Of the school that collected waste 69.5 percent of the schools separately grouped common waste and recyclable waste. 25 schools(42.4%) received improvement on their environmental awareness of trash collection through this method. 4. From the number of disposal sites in surveyed schools, it was determined that the education of the necessity for separation of waste was performed in vain and accordingly the should require a real education in the future. 5. Regarding the method of disposal of waste the survey indicated that the #1 method of disposal was partial burning and the remains carried to a dump site by others(35,7%). In elementary schools the entire waste was taken by individuals to a dump site (33.3%). In high schools partial burning and then transported by individuals #1 in our survey(50%). 6. Relative to the problem of the treatment to waste, the emission of smoke from the burning was considered to be the #1 priority in our survey (62.3%) the problem of trash collection being delayed was 52.1%(1in our survey). 7. The present situation of environmental education of waste us lacking. Under present circumstances, the practice of public announcements for improvement and waste-paper collection has been going on vigorously but lacking in education as to the preparation of compositions for students the themes of public exhibitions, the organizing of voluntary associations should be part of the education system to reinforce student's awareness of proper waste disposal. 8. The most economical alternative for disposal was recycling usable waste or combustible material through a variety of education we can therefore educate students bring this education to their homes public servants will also be able to benefit in the waste disposal process with proper education. In conclusion we should intensify the systemical organization and the education of our waste disposal for a better environment.
A periodic backflushing was performed to reduce the membrane fouling of ultrafiltration for wastewater, and the effect and the optimum condition were investigated in this study. The alumina¬ceramic tubular membrane with pore size of 0.02${\mu}m$ was used for the wastewater treated by coagulation and sedimentation from two paper plants, of which A plant made toilet paper by recycling milk paper cartons and B plant recycled corrugated cardboards. And the effect of periodic backflushing to membrane fouling and quality of permeate were studied with a constant backflushing time of 3 sec. As results of measuring SS, TDS, and COD of source and permeate, the rejection rate of SS showed the highest value at the backflushing period of 15 see, which was the shortest time in these experiments, in case of waste¬water discharged from A plant. However, the rejection rate of COD had the highest value at the period of 30 sec for wastewater from both A and B plant. Then, the rejection rate of TDS was almost same at 30 and 60 sec for A plant wastewater, and the highest at 60 see for B plant. The effect of periodic back¬flushing to membrane fouling was investigated by change of permeate flux according to operating time. The permeate flux decreased slowly at the operation with backflushing, and was higher compared with that without backflushing in both case of A and B wastewater. But, the optimum period with the highest flux of A wastewater was different from that of B, because SS and COD of A was higher than those of Band TDS of B was higher than that of A.

We investigated the concentration and the sources of ubiquitous persistent organic pollutants [i.e., 17 toxic polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs), 12 coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (Co-PCBs), and 16 priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)] in waste papers and lumbers from industrial complexes. The total concentrations in waste papers and lumbers ranged from 9.69~176.77 pg/g-dry and 0.14~0.25 pg/g-dry for 17 PCDD/Fs, 109.95~4097.25 pg/g-dry and 28.23~59.88 pg/g-dry for 12 Co-PCBs and 9.30~52.18 ng/g-dry and 0.82~1.82 ng/g-dry for 16 PAHs respectively. Generally, the concentration of these pollutants in waste papers was higher than those in waste lumbers. OCDD was dominant in waste papers and lumbers and the PCDD/F patterns of these samples were similar with that of stack gas. The distribution patterns of Co-PCBs in wastes were related with commercial PCB products, indicating the effect of commercial PCB products on ubiquitous environment. The diagnostic ratios of several PAH compounds in waste paper showed that they were related with pyrogenic sources.
In this study the discharged wastewater from a paper plant was filtrated by 4 kinds of tubular carbon ceramic ultrafiltration membranes with periodic water-back-flushing. We could investigate effects of watch-back-flushing period, transmembrane pressure (TMP) and flow rate, and find optimal operating conditions. The back-f1ushing time (BT) was fixed at 3 sec, and fi1tration times (FT) werc changed in 15~60 scc, TMP in 1.00~2.50$kg_{f}$/$cm^2$, and the flow rates in 0.27~1.75 L/min. The optimal conditions were discussed in 7he viewpoints of dimensionless permeate flux (J/J$_{0}$), total permeate volume ($V^T$) and resistance of membrane fouling ($R^f$). Optima1 back-flushing period was BT/FT=0.20, suggesting that the frequent back-flushing should decrease membrane fouling. Optimal TMP in the viewpoint of $V^T$ was 1.00~1.55$kg_{f}$/$cm^2$, suggesting that rising TMP should increase membrane fouling and decrease permeate flux. But, rising f1ow rate should decrease membrane fouling and increase permeate flux. Then, average rejection rates of pollutants filtratedby carbon ceramic membranes were 88~98 % for turbidity, 48~72% fort $COD_{cr}$ and 37~76% for TDS.

Electronic wastes have increased tremendously. However, any reliable treatment methodologies have rarely been established. Electronic wastes have posed serious disposal problem due to their physico-chemical stability. This paper investigated the application possibility of pyrolysis for the purpose of recycling the p-CCL(phenol based Copper Clad Laminate). Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) was used to investigate the thermal decomposition pattern of p-CCL. We elucidated the characteristics of pyrolysis by-products at operating temperatures of 280, 350 and $600^{\circ}C$. GC/MS and FT-IR were used to characterize the liquid by-products along with general characterization methods such as Ultimate Analysis, Proximate Analysis and Heating Value, whereas general characterization methods were only introduced for the solid by-products. At a heating rate of $5^{\circ}C$/min, TGA curves exhibited three decomposition stages: (1) low-temperature decomposition region$(<280^{\circ}C)$, (2) medium temperature region$(280\sim350^{\circ}C)$ and (3) high-temperature region$(>350^{\circ}C)$. The major compounds of liquid by-products at low- and medium-temperatures were accounted for by water and phenol, whereas branched phenols and furans were major compounds at high-temperatures. As the temperature increases, volatile quantities decreased but the fixed carbon increased. High heating values of solid by-products($7,400\sim7,600$ kcal/kg) would suggest that the solid by-products could be applicable as fuel. In addition, high fixed carbon but low ash content of the solid by-products offered an implication that they are capable of being upgradable for adsorbent after applying appropriate activating process.
