Objective: To conduct a simulation study to determine whether artificial intelligence (AI)-aided mammography reading can reduce unnecessary recalls while maintaining cancer detection ability in women recalled after mammography screening. Materials and Methods: A retrospective reader study was performed by screening mammographies of 793 women (mean age ± standard deviation, 50 ± 9 years) recalled to obtain supplemental mammographic views regarding screening mammography-detected abnormalities between January 2016 and December 2019 at two screening centers. Initial screening mammography examinations were interpreted by three dedicated breast radiologists sequentially, case by case, with and without AI aid, in a single session. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), sensitivity, specificity, and recall rate for breast cancer diagnosis were obtained and compared between the two reading modes. Results: Fifty-four mammograms with cancer (35 invasive cancers and 19 ductal carcinomas in situ) and 739 mammograms with benign or negative findings were included. The reader-averaged AUC improved after AI aid, from 0.79 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.74-0.85) to 0.89 (95% CI, 0.85-0.94) (p < 0.001). The reader-averaged specificities before and after AI aid were 41.9% (95% CI, 39.3%-44.5%) and 53.9% (95% CI, 50.9%-56.9%), respectively (p < 0.001). The reader-averaged sensitivity was not statistically different between AI-unaided and AI-aided readings: 89.5% (95% CI, 83.1%-95.9%) vs. 92.6% (95% CI, 86.2%-99.0%) (p = 0.053), although the sensitivities of the least experienced radiologists before and after AI aid were 79.6% (43 of 54 [95% CI, 66.5%-89.4%]) and 90.7% (49 of 54 [95% CI, 79.7%-96.9%]), respectively (p = 0.031). With AI aid, the reader-averaged recall rate decreased by from 60.4% (95% CI, 57.8%-62.9%) to 49.5% (95% CI, 46.5%-52.4%) (p < 0.001). Conclusion: AI-aided reading reduced the number of recalls and improved the diagnostic performance in our simulation using women initially recalled for supplemental mammographic views after mammography screening.

Validation of a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) utilising a short-term measurement method is challenging when the reference method does not accurately reflect the usual food intake. In addition, food group intake that is not consumed on daily basis is more critical when episodically consumed foods are related and compared. To overcome these challenges, several statistical approaches have been developed to determine usual food intake distributions. The Multiple Source Method (MSM) can calculate the usual food intake by combining the frequency questions of an FFQ with the short-term food intake amount data. In this study, we applied the MSM to estimate the usual food group intake and evaluate the validity of an FFQ with a group of 333 Korean children (aged 3-6 y) who completed two 24-hour recalls (24HR) and one FFQ in 2010. After adjusting the data using the MSM procedure, the true rate of non-consumption for all food groups was less than 1% except for the beans group. The median Spearman correlation coefficients against FFQ of the mean of 2-d 24HRs data and the MSM-adjusted data were 0.20 (range: 0.11 to 0.40) and 0.35 (range: 0.14 to 0.60), respectively. The weighted kappa values against FFQ ranged from 0.08 to 0.25 for the mean of 2-d 24HRs data and from 0.10 to 0.41 for the MSM-adjusted data. For most food groups, the MSM-adjusted data showed relatively stronger correlations against FFQ than raw 2-d 24HRs data, from 0.03 (beverages) to 0.34 (mushrooms). The results of this study indicated that the application of the MSM, which was a better estimate of the usual intake, could be worth considering in FFQ validation studies among Korean children.
The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate the simple semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) for assessing folate intake in women of reproductive age. We developed a 30-item FFQ, and tested the reliability and validity in 97 women aged between 20 and 39 yrs using the FFQs and 24-h recalls, which were carried out twice, respectively. Assessing the reliability, the correlation coefficients were 0.53 (Spearman's) and 0.49 (Pearson's) for folate. There was no significant difference of folate intake between FFQ1 and FFQ2. 36.1% subjects were classified into the same quartile and 83.5% into the same or adjacent quartile divided by folate intake. On determining the validity, the mean folate intake obtained from the FFQ (FFQ1) and 24h-recalls (2-d) were $306.6{\pm}167.2{\mu}g/d$ and $326.9{\pm}103.3{\mu}g/d$, respectively. There was no significant difference between folate intakes from the two methods. The correlation coefficients for folate were 0.24 (Spearman's) and 0.26 (Pearson's). 39.2% of the subjects were categorized into the same quartile and 70.1% were into the same or adjacent quartile. In addition, sensitivity (64.3%) and specificity (62.3%) were estimated to evaluate the adequacy of folate intake. These results suggest that this FFQ would be a useful and a valuable instrument to assess the intake of folate among the Korean women of child-bearing age.

Damage to natural resources from inappropriate visitor behavior is a problem faced by National Park management. Based on the data gathered by personal interview and mail questionnaire, this study examines the effects of communication strategies to reduce depreciative behavior in Carlsbad Caverns National Park. One-quarter of Carlsbad Caverns visitors indicates that they have noticed damage to cave formation during their tour. Almost 38% of visitors say that they have witnessed someone touch a formation inside the Caverns. This is a relatively high percentage compared with other depreciative behavior research to refrain from "tattling" on fellow visitors. Two-thirds of the respondents recalls touching formation replicas before entering the Cavern, while almost all visitors (97.9%) say that they have heard the ranger's talk about not touching formation or leaving the trail. Visitors feel that the ranger's talk is more effective in reducing depreciative behavior than the formation replicas, although at least three-fourths of all respondents believes both techniques are effective.
This study was performed to describe the perceptions of the family mealtime environment in preadolescents, and to determine the frequency of family meals and whether the mealtime environment is associated with nutrient intake. Surveys and 24-hour dietary recalls were completed by 197 children, ages 11 to 12, in elementary schools in the Incheon area. We assessed family meal frequency and the perceptions of the family meal environment with respect to priority, atmosphere, and family mealtime structure. The subject response frequencies and correlations among perceptions of the family mealtime environment, as well as the frequency of family meals and nutrient intake, were analyzed. Having a greater priority for family meals was associated with an increased frequency of family mealtimes. An enjoyable family meal environment was positively correlated with increases in nutrient intake. From the results of this study, we suggest that consideration be placed on opportunities to design nutrition promotion strategies that target families and their children, with respect to promoting family mealtimes and overcoming the barriers to having family meals.
This paper starts with a brief overview of the history of the European Space Agency and recalls some of its main features. Next, the gradual process of cooperation between ESA and the EU is outlined, leading to the creation of the Framework Agreement in 2004 and the adoption of the European Space Policy in 2007. The entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty in 2009 codified the space competence of the EU, and its implications are addressed. Lastly, some attention is paid to the issue of space security in Europe, through ESA's new SSA programme adopted in 2008, and to the relevance of the EU Council initiative for a Code of Conduct for Outer Space Activities in 2008. The paper ends with some conclusions.
Internal heat generation is one of the insidious conditions affecting the quality of an industrial product after it is cast, coated, molded, forged or laminated. Frequently, the product is pressed into service before the exothermic chemical reactions in the generic material has been completed. The heat liberated from this continuing chemical reaction or the residual deformation from the rheological activities in the materials must be adequately removed or prevented, or the product may be discolored, warped, weakened or even "ignited" spontaneously. Numerous instances of premature structural failures, product-recalls, and/or system-malfunctions have been recorded in recent history. The Coulee Dam was poured with pre-chilled concrete just to negate this freakish encore. It is well-known that concrete (a non-isotropic conducting medium), for instance, takes 28 days to develop its full strength. During this period of curing it is conceivable that the processes of internal heat generation, heat conduction and heat dissipation take place simultaneously inside the medium.he medium.

In this paper, an algorithm of CBAM(Combination Bidirectional Associative Memory) model proposes, analyzes and tests CBAM model `s performancess by simulating with recalls and recognitions of patterns. In learning-procedure each correlation matrix of training patterns is obtained. As each correlation matrix's some elements correspond to juxtaposition, all correlation matrices are merged into one matrix (Combination Correlation Matrix, CCM). In recall-procedure, CCM is decomposed into a number of correlation matrices by spiliting its elements into the number of elements corresponding to all training patterns. Recalled patterns are obtained by multiplying input pattern with all correlation matrices and selecting a pattern which has the smallest value of energy function. By using a CBAM model, we have some advantages. First, all pattern having less than 20% of noise can be recalled. Second, memory capacity of CBAM model, can be further increased to include English alphabets or patterns. Third, learning time of CBAM model can be reduced greatly because of operation to make CCM.
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of interview techniques on memory accuracy and suggestibility of preschool children. Forty-five preschool children participated in a magic show(target event) and 1 week later, all children received suggestive interview in two conditions(language condition & drawing condition). Another 1 week later, all children's recall contents of the magic show was assessed. During suggestive interview, children in drawing condition show more 'acception' response than children in language condition, and children in the question condition show less 'remember' response than children in drawing condition. In second interview children reported more words, and specially ones in language condition report more suggested words than ones in drawing condition. Finally, children's recalls were more accurate on controled informations of the event than on suggestive.
During the first twenty-six years of its existence from 1954 to 1980, Keimyung University established on its Daemyung Campus a unique community of Western period-style buildings which recalls an old liberal arts college in America. During the first fifteen years, Keimyung built basically in the neo-Georgian style in accordance with the visions of the first two presidents, both of American nationality. During the next eleven years when Keimyung considerably expanded its facilities, it built in the neo-Classical style. The architecture of the Daemyung Campus is not without dynamism as it shows some efforts to integrate the expressions of the historical and the modern, culminating in the Main Library. The Daemyung Campus thus presents an interesting case study of how Western period-style architecture was assimilated in a provincial Korean city with a sense of an on-going building tradition.
