Currently much research is being done on host based intrusion detection using system calls which is a portion of kernel based data. Sequence based and frequency based preprocessing methods are mostly used in research for intrusion detection using system calls. Due to the large amount of data and system call types, it requires a significant amount of preprocessing time. Therefore, it is difficult to implement real-time intrusion detection systems. Despite this disadvantage, the frequency based method which requires a relatively small amount of preprocessing time is usually used. This paper proposes an effective method for detecting denial of service attacks using the frequency based method. Principal Component Analysis(PCA) will be used to select the principle system calls and a bayesian network will be composed and the bayesian classifier will be used for the classification.

Physiological signals provide important clues in the diagnosis and prediction of disease. Analyzing these signals is important in health and medicine. In particular, data preprocessing for physiological signal analysis is a vital issue because missing values, noise, and outliers may degrade the analysis performance. In this paper, we propose PhysioCover, a system that can recover missing values of physiological signals that were monitored in real time. PhysioCover integrates a gradual method and EM-based Principle Component Analysis (PCA). This approach can (1) more readily recover long- and short-term missing data than existing methods, such as traditional EM-based PCA, linear interpolation, 5-average and Missing Value Singular Value Decomposition (MSVD), (2) more effectively detect hidden variables than PCA and Independent component analysis (ICA), and (3) offer fast computation time through real-time processing. Experimental results with the physiological data of an intensive care unit show that the proposed method assigns more accurate missing values than previous methods.

Sound event detection in real-world environments suffers from the interference of non-stationary and time-varying noise. This paper presents an adaptive noise reduction method for sound event detection based on non-negative matrix factorization (NMF). In this paper, we proposed a deep learning model that integrates Convolution Neural Network (CNN) with Non-Negative Matrix Factorization (NMF). To improve the separation quality of the NMF, it includes noise update technique that learns and adapts the characteristics of the current noise in real time. The noise update technique analyzes the sparsity and activity of the noise bias at the present time and decides the update training based on the noise candidate group obtained every frame in the previous noise reduction stage. Noise bias ranks selected as candidates for update training are updated in real time with discrimination NMF training. This NMF was applied to CNN and Hidden Markov Model(HMM) to achieve improvement for performance of sound event detection. Since CNN has a more obvious performance improvement effect, it can be widely used in sound source based CNN algorithm.
Purpose The study aims to predict real estate prices by utilizing regional characteristics. Since real estate has the characteristic of immobility, the characteristics of a region have a great influence on the price of real estate. In addition, real estate prices are closely related to economic development and are a major concern for policy makers and investors. Accurate house price forecasting is necessary to prepare for the impact of house price fluctuations. To improve the performance of our predictive models, we applied LSTM, a widely used deep learning technique for predicting time series data. Design/methodology/approach This study used time series data on real estate prices provided by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. For time series data preprocessing, HP filters were applied to decompose trends and SOM was used to cluster regions with similar price directions. To build a real estate price prediction model, SVR and LSTM were applied, and the prices of regions classified into similar clusters by SOM were used as input variables. Findings The clustering results showed that the region of the same cluster was geographically close, and it was possible to confirm the characteristics of being classified as the same cluster even if there was a price level and a similar industry group. As a result of predicting real estate prices in 1, 2, and 3 months, LSTM showed better predictive performance than SVR, and LSTM showed better predictive performance in long-term forecasting 3 months later than in 1-month short-term forecasting.

Skyline query is a scheme for exploring objects that are suitable for user preferences based on multiple attributes of objects. Existing skyline queries return search results as batch processing, but the need for real-time search results has increased with the advent of interactive apps or mobile environments. Online algorithm for Skyline improves the return speed of objects to explore preferred objects in real time. However, the object navigation process requires unnecessary navigation time due to repeated comparative operations. This paper proposes a Pre-processing Online Algorithm for Skyline Query (POA) to eliminate unnecessary search time in Online Algorithm exploration techniques and provide the results of skyline queries in real time. Proposed techniques use the concept of range-limiting to existing Online Algorithm to perform pretreatment and then eliminate repetitive rediscovering regions first. POAs showed improvement in standard distributions, bias distributions, positive correlations, and negative correlations of discrete data sets compared to Online Algorithm. The POAs used in this paper improve navigation performance by minimizing comparison targets for Online Algorithm, which will be a new criterion for rapid service to users in the face of increasing use of mobile devices.
Crushers are equipment that crush natural stones, to produce aggregates used at construction sites. As the crusher proceeds, the inner liner becomes worn, causing the size of the aggregate produced to gradually increase. The vision sensor-based aggregate analysis system analyzes the size and distribution of aggregates in production, in real time through image analysis. This study developed an algorithm that can segmentate aggregates in images in real time. using image preprocessing technology combining various filters and morphology techniques, and aggregate region characteristics such as convex hull and concave hull. We applied the developed algorithm to fine aggregate, intermediate aggregate, and thick aggregate images to verify their performance.

The optimal shipping location is determined by measuring the volume and weights of cargo shipped to non-standard cargo carriers. Currently, workers manually measure cargo volume, but automate it to improve work inefficiency. In this paper, we proposed the method of a real-time volume calculation using LiDar sensor for automating cargo measurement of non-standard cargo. For this purpose, we utilized the statistical techniques for data preprocessing and volume calculation, also used Voxel Grid filter to light weighted of data which are appropriate in real-time calculation. We implemented the function of Normal vectors and Triangle Mesh to generate surfaces and Alpha Shapes algorithms to process 3D modeling.

Korea is facing a number difficulties arising from rising housing prices. As 'housing' takes the lion's share in personal assets, many difficulties are expected to arise from fluctuating housing prices. The purpose of this study is creating housing price prediction model to prevent such risks and induce reasonable real estate purchases. This study made many attempts for understanding real estate instability and creating appropriate housing price prediction model. This study predicted and validated housing prices by using the LSTM technique - a type of Artificial Intelligence deep learning technology. LSTM is a network in which cell state and hidden state are recursively calculated in a structure which added cell state, which is conveyor belt role, to the existing RNN's hidden state. The real sale prices of apartments in autonomous districts ranging from January 2006 to December 2019 were collected through the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport's real sale price open system and basic apartment and commercial district information were collected through the Public Data Portal and the Seoul Metropolitan City Data. The collected real sale price data were scaled based on monthly average sale price and a total of 168 data were organized by preprocessing respective data based on address. In order to predict prices, the LSTM implementation process was conducted by setting training period as 29 months (April 2015 to August 2017), validation period as 13 months (September 2017 to September 2018), and test period as 13 months (December 2018 to December 2019) according to time series data set. As a result of this study for predicting 'prices', there have been the following results. Firstly, this study obtained 76 percent of prediction similarity. We tried to design a prediction model of real estate transaction price with the LSTM Model based on AI and Bigdata. The final prediction model was created by collecting time series data, which identified the fact that 76 percent model can be made. This validated that predicting rate of return through the LSTM method can gain reliability.
This paper describes a pre-processing methodology which can apply to remote speech recognition system of service robot in noisy environment. By combining beamforming and blind source separation, we can overcome the weakness of beamforming (reverberation) and blind source separation (distributed noise, permutation ambiguity). As this method is designed to be implemented with hardware, we can achieve real-time execution with FPGA by using systolic array architecture.
A modified SQI method using magnetic leakage flux (MFL) signal for underground gas pipelines' defect detection and characterization is presented in this paper. Raw signals gathered using MFL signals include many unexpected noises and high frequency signals, uneven background signals, signals caused by real defects, etc. The MFL signals of defect free pipelines primarily consist of two kinds of signals, uneven low frequency signals and uncertain high frequency noises. Leakage flux signals caused by defects are added to the case of pipelines having defects. Even though the SQI (Self Quotient Image) is a useful tool to gradually remove the varying backgrounds as well as to characterize the defects, it uses the division and floating point operations. A modified SQI having low computational complexity without time-consuming division operations is presented in this paper. By using defects carved in real pipelines in the pipeline simulation facility (PSF) and real MFL data, the performance of the proposed method is compared with that of the original SQI.
